First time eating here. Got the original combo. Great serving at a great price. Only knock would be the soda dispenser screen wasn't working too well. Not a deal breaker though.
To-go order for family in near-by small town; two flat-bread pizzas, a reg pizza, reg large sandwich, and a gluten-free bun sandwich. Each item made correctly (!) and delicious to boot. All service super friendly. Restrooms nice as well before getting back on the road.
Was greeted promptly, food came out on time and as expected. Nice big restaurant decorated much different than what I have seen in the greater Houston area. Even had a great conversation with the owner Luke. Will definitely come back.
My sandwich was bigger than my head. Get the gaint u won't be disappointed
Excellent experience in the drive thru on 1/23 for dinner. My order was taken with speed, accuracy and friendliness. The food was ready quickly and everything was exactly how I wanted it. Fantastic experience, bravo!
Manager/Owner is friendly and welcoming and hilarious. He's always chatting up people lighting up their day . Food is amazing everytime picture perfect kitchen staff is top notch . Only issue was outdated exterior and bathrooms but they were remodeling so next time I'm hoping it's done.
Clean and reasonably fast for dine in. They were out of kids pizzas but made a big one and split it for my two kids. Felt like the total price was a good value
Very friendly, personal touch, fresh food
My wife and I have eaten at this location several times. I jokingly refer to the franchise owner as Drill Sergeant because he runs a tight ship with military precision as he gives instructions to his employees. On our most recent visit we witnessed the owner get down on his knees and thoroughly clean a trash can receptacle with cleaning solution and a hand towel. This demonstrated to me that he leads by example because it is an unfavorable task that he could have easily allocated to one of his employees. Great leaders lead by example. The man has earned my respect and I don't even work for him. For that, as well as great food and service, I am happy to be one of his customers and support his business.
We always stop here when we are coming through or close to the area. The owner is so nice, and he is always here when we come. He takes time to personally come ask if you’re okay and make sure you are satisfied. Other schlotzsky’s take so long to get your food, but here we’ve never waited that long. Definitely 100% recommend this place.
The service makes this spot 10 stars!! I can always count on Luke and his team for catering amazing food- he goes the extra mile, takes care of all the little things, and comes through even same day. I really appreciate these guys! High Five! 🙌🏼
Love their food. Service could improve and be quicker. Ordered 40 minutes ahead of pickup time, and when I got there, it still wasn't ready. I had to be at work in 10 minutes, and I was late. I only ordered one sandwich. The rest of the order was chips, drink, and pre made center of the roll cinnabons.
Excellent, friendly service. The food was great and fresh tasting. It is one of the best locations we've visited.
I've been a loyal customer of this establishment for quite some time, and it never ceases to impress me. The owner is absolutely awesome, always going above and beyond to ensure every guest has a fantastic experience. Recently, I came across a review accusing the owner of being racist. I feel compelled to set the record straight because this accusation couldn't be further from the truth. The staff here is incredibly diverse, with many employees from various racial backgrounds. As a family of many different colors, we've always been treated with the utmost respect and warmth whenever we visit. This place not only offers outstanding service and a welcoming atmosphere but also stands as a testament to inclusivity and genuine hospitality. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a great time and a place where everyone is truly welcomed.
Great place and friendly approach from the GM when we were there. I always and only get the pepperoni pizza, extra pepperoni. IT is so amazingly good! Sat outside to enjoy the world. Great selection of a menu and has to be a great place to stop by and grab something to cure those hangry needs! Pizza was hot. Crust was golden brown. Nice crisp and full of flavors.
I have gone to this location a couple of times now. Everything has always been great. My kids love the pizza and I enjoy the Greek salad. It was fun to watch the staff and the owner get along so well. It was good for my kids to see a good work environment. We will definitely be back!
Absolutely awesome service and food. The man, manager maybe, who took our order was super nice. All around excellent experience, so glad we stopped by on our way home.
Schlotzsky's was great. We got the small Original Deluxe sandwich that was actually quite big. It so tasty. The girl who handed us our food was super friendly. I definitely want to try more from their menu.
I don't know how I do it but there speed at making sandwiches is simply incredible. Not only did we get our food in record time but the accuracy of our order was on point. This is a great location.
Picked up a catering order and the manager did a great job. The big trays and cookies were very good. He included everything we needed to serve 20 people and was easy to work with. I would recommend for meeting catering. Etc.
I really enjoy their food. They are pretty fast and friendly.
This place is awesome made my sandwiches to perfection meat portions are are amazing and warm bread very fresh and warm i live in Lockhart but always make the effort to drive to this Schlotzsky’s in bastrop 👍
I love this place. One of my favorite place for a sandwich.
Stopped by for lunch and loved it!! Very clean and fast service. Everyone was friendly and the owner made sure I was happy with my meal! I’m new to the area and found my favorite spot!! Fiesta chicken sandwich with tortilla soup!! Yum!!!
Nice staff, quick food 5/5 would go again
Went in to grab some cinnamon rolls. Robert and Case were an excellent team to have up front. Kudos to a job well done. Customer service was great.
Good food, but slow service. In fairness, everything is made to order.
First time trying Schlotzsky’s! I’m not big on sandwiches but wow! This place is amazing!!! I ordered the fiesta chicken sandwich and it was huge!! The meat portion was great and I also tried the tomato basil soup. I’ve been missing out! The staff was friendly and on point! Manager made us feel welcome!
Went by today after church. It was really busy but service was great and I received my food quickly. The owner was very personable with each customer and kept everything flowing well. The dining room was clean and it was a very nice environment. I just moved here and I will definitely frequent this restaurant.
Love this place. The food is always good and they took good care of us. They had bagged the food to go and the server apologized and started to unban it for us. I stopped him and told him we can do that. What great service to try and take care of the customer.
I stopped by for a drink but saw the new Apple harvest sandwich and it was super yummy!!!! I wasn’t sure I would like it but it sounded interesting. I was pleasantly surprised!! Can’t wait to go back! The manager was very polite and made it a great experience!
I recently had surgery and had to eat soup for approximately three weeks! This place has gotten me through with these delicious soups. The broccoli and cheese soup is my FAVORITE with the Tomato Basil in a close second. The chicken tortilla soup is good, but I wasn’t able to enjoy the veggies and chicken only the broth because I could eat the veggies and soup. The loaded baked potato is good, but I’ve only gotten it once and it was a little soupy( I was expecting a more firm texture) and also it looked like they used the cheese base from the broccoli and cheese soup. However, I still provide five stars because all the soups are good and the service has been excellent each and every visit.
Great sandwiches, but the mini Cinnabons were a little old , not fresh, and had a gummy dough texture. Terrific service though and a clean restaurant.
Always love the original sandwich es. Broccoli and cheese soup is too watered down. Drink dispenser was very limited. Had to settle for lemonade and the kids said it “tasted like medicine”. Should. Have gone with my guy and just order the sandwiches and the kids pizza.
I eat here from time to time. Food here is good, I just can't say it's amazing at any Schlotzsky's but this one is just as good any. Manager is real friendly and professional. Service is really good. Recently, I've been going here about once a month.
My wife loves this place. Although, she is the only member of the family that does. Their spices and flavor combinations are a bit atypical compared to other sandwich places, so you might be surprised by your first bite. It is definitely a love it or hate it experience. They seem to use quality ingredients, and thus worth a try if you have never experienced it before.
Always gets my order right (except for that one time but it's ok because it was a delicious sandwich) the food is always hot and fresh. The staff is pretty great too. I took off 1 star because I was waiting 1 day at the counter for 10 mintues while some employees were seemingly not really doing much. I could be mistaken. Otherwise, great experience here.
It has it's good days and bad days.Maybe they'll get your order wrong. But if they do they'll fix it within the snap of finger. I usually do a complicated sandwich, and sometimes they will get it wrong. But they will fix it and correct themselves. Witch I think every restaurant should do!👍🏼✨THE FOOD IS GREAT✨👍🏼 They have such great positivity you should eat here. ☺️
The owner himself helped take our orders. He was quick and friendly even kidded around with my kids while getting their orders out of my tight lipped five year old child. the food was great fresh made bread starts every sandwich and pizza. they had vegan dishes for the picky eater in the family.and when our meal was done and we where leaving the owner of the restaurant asked how it was for quality purposes and to have a good day and he hoped to see us again. I will go back to this amazing sandwich shop time and again.i love the food.
The food is reliably satisfying. It's the manager that earned this forth star. I eat here regularly for lunch and he is always firing on all cylinders! I'm always impressed at his friendly attitude and work ethic. You can tell it rubs off on the other employees. He definitely deserves a raise!
I always have a great experience at Schlotzsky's but this is one of the most beautiful ones I have dined at. The entire building has more of a restaurant feel to it rather than a fast food joint. With employees making their rounds to check in on you and cleaning up your table, I was very impressed. Several employees going out of their way to offer to help me with my son, that really shows they really care about the customer. I love the patio outside, its my favorite part of this restaurant. The food is always hot and delicious. Portion sizes and price are amazing. Bathrooms were very clean and well stocked. Wheel chair and stroller accessible.
They have Rubens now?!?!? Stupid excited about that. Could have been more generous with the sauerkraut but overall it was pretty tasty. They have given this place a little face lift too it is pretty nice inside. The staff when we went later in the evening was slow moving and seemed inconvenienced with our patronage but they managed to piece together two Rubens and two drinks in under 45 minutes..(okay maybe I'm exaggerating) but we were the only ones there and it took an eternity to get it out the window..when I asked for a different beverage because the coke was over carbonated she gave me another over carbonated coke. Normally I wouldn't even mention that because it's sort of trivial but inflation made the coke close to a million dollars so there it is..
People should know that they can rely on getting a delicious sandwich. I love the turkey avocado. The reason I gave them four stars everything was outstanding except for waiting in the Drive-Thru for 20 minutes with only 2 cars in front us.
Drive thru order. Placed order then told had no tea. Also the sandwich had a huge glob of mustard in one spot of the sandwich. My husband was upset about this. Did realized I need to check the inside of sandwich before he ate it. May try another store next time. I spent too much for this food to start with a total to off.
Overall they were very nice. They missed one takeout item but it was refunded. Sandwiches were fresh and delicious.
It had been years since I've been to schlotzsky's so I wasn't sure what to expect. The place was staffed by young people. It appeared that everyone working there was in their teens. Still the place was well run , clean and the staff were pleasant and polite. We gave our order and chose our chips, filled our drinks and found a place to sit. Within a minute of sitting down they were calling our name for pickup. I ordered a medium original with jalapeno and the sandwich was really delicious. Everything was fresh and well made with quality ingredients. My only gripe was that the drink was a little bit syrupy, a bit sweeter than usual but other than that it was a great dining experience. I would definitely eat there again.
Honestly I would give this place a 5 star! I was having fun eating my lunch here when we were passing through to go to college station. Food here is always delicious and I love it. I got the smoky bacon cheesy beef on sourdough. Staff was friendly and on top of it. Great energy which I like. They was an employee walked in to start her shift when we got there. As we were leaving and finished with our meal I saw her fix her hair with the prep gloves on then afterwards proceeded to wrap the sandwich. Not sanitary. I’d hate that to happen to me. Hope management emphasize on things like that. Best of luck with this location.
Food was pretty good. Only complaint was they consistently forget things if you alter the order from what's on the menu (like adding a sauce) tables could be taken care of a bit better. Came in 15 minutes before the breakfast ended but they refused to sell any breakfast items which was pretty lame.
Ate dinner here on a Sunday night on the way home from College Station. Wow, this location has gone downhill. We were the only ones in the restaurant, but man, it was a mess. Bathrooms dirty (and clearly had not been cleaned well in a looooong time), tables still not clean in the dining area, and trashcans overflowing. The teen staff on hand was clearly not focused on catching up after whatever rush they may have had. Each time we've come here over the years it seems as if it's a bit worse, despite the "refresh" done on the building. Management needs to engage or this location will end up closing.
We stop by this location when we are on trips and have been there 3 times in the past year. The man that i assume is the manager is very gruff and rude. He raised his voice at one customer while we were there and even the cashier stopped what she was doing and was staring at him. You have to go to the counter to order tea. I was wanting a refill but decided against it with the mood he was in. Food was good though!
I stopped here for a quick bite. It was SO SLOW and took a very long time for a sandwich and cup of soup. It seemed like there was no organization and alot of chaos. After, close to 30 minutes the manager finally asked me about my order and quickly got it out. The upside was my food was very good!
Folks-Make sure the cashier washes her hands-When I walked in she was changing out the trash bags. Took my order & no exchange of $-it was a shelf insert cc. She was not the one that prepared my food or handled my food. She walked away to handle more trash bags. As customers were coming in-she barely looked up to greet customers- she was more concerned in finishing the task at hand-changing out trash bags. A rep for Door Dash came in and it took forever for her to get her order for her customer. Which tells you how long it took 3 food prep young men to crank out the orders. It appeared drive thru was the priority. Would I go back-nope-More training is needed.
Ordered 2 cups of soup and a Caesar side salad to go. They lost my order, then took 10 minutes to pour 2 cups of soup. The Caesar side salad still hasn't arrived. There are 5 or 6 servers here and very little traffic. While I've been waiting, 3 customers made complaints. Finally got my salad after 30 minutes. This place used to be really great, but the last few times we were here the level of service has steadily decreased. Shame, 'cause I really like the (former?) Owner.
Food tasted right, staff was pleasant, but the facility was in disarray. Overall looked as if the store had no manager. The outside had broken table pieces and a nasty bucket by the front door. Once inside many things were out of place and looked dirty- mold on ice dispenser, trash on tables and floor, random microwave and parts of dishwasher on a table. Left hoping I wouldn’t get sick from what I ate 🤢
Disappointing. Again. The strawberry salad was good, but I did have to pick out the feta cheese because it tasted like it had passed its expiration date. Also disappointed that the "made-from-scratch garlic breadsticks" were just the hard, dry edges trimmed from the sandwich rolls. I did appreciate the helpful, efficient staff.
I got a turkey avacado. Had to pick most of the avacado out because it was rotten. Then, I bit down on something hard and found out they left the small pit on the top of the avacado in the sandwich. I was completely grossed out and couldn't finish the sandwich. Would have asked for a refund but already drove away. Don't think I'll ever go to a schlotskys again.
Went thru drive-thru and was not the best interacting w the "kid" taking my order. I could hear that she was too busy talking and laughing w co-workers and had to repeat myself several times and correct her about what I said. Then, for fast food I sat at the window for longer than most places have ever made me wait. The to top it off my sandwich was pretty dry. Just overall was very unhappy with the service I got and the food. Not sure I'll be back anytime soon.
I went through the drive-thru at about 315. One car ahead of me. Parking lot virtually bare. I pull up to the intercom. No one speaks or greets me or tells me they’ll be right with me for 10 minutes. I finally say “hello?” and the kid finally says it’ll be a minute. It was about 10 more. I ordered a turkey club with BBQ chips, large sweet tea and a two-pack of cinnamon rolls. Several minutes later I got my order from the lackluster young man at the window and drive away. Got back home and discovered I got a turkey sandwich, no bacon. Got one cinnamon roll not two but that’s okay because the cinnamon roll was definitely old. Bread was hard. Barely any frosting. I mean, come on Schlotzskys. You’re charging me $20 for food. At least make an effort. Can’t say I’m going to be rushing back there anytime soon.
I am so disappointed in our recent drive thru visit to Schlotzsky's in Bastrop. My Strawberry Chicken Salad had NO chicken in it. Unfortunatley we were already home when I noticed. Too late to go back. That will not happen again! I kept the receipt and will most definitely bring it to the attention of management the next time I am in the area. Mistakes happen, understandably, but there really needs to be some form of quality control.
“I had an awful experience at this location. I waited at the drive-thru speaker for over 10 minutes with no one taking my order. There was no communication or acknowledgment of my presence. Finally, after a long wait, someone came on the speaker and took my order. This kind of service is unacceptable and really frustrating. They clearly need to hire enough employees to ensure things run smoothly. I won’t be coming back anytime soon.”
Placed an order on line for pickup. Was nit ready when I got there. Got two salads for me and mom, and a grilled cheese for our youngest. Got home to find not dressing for the salads as ordered. One salad wasn't right as ordered. Instruction were clear on the receipt. It was.not due to being busy. There were two other to go orders and one person in the dining room. This was simply due to not caring enough to get things right. Very poor performance
Feeling conflicted about this review ; they were very nice but I don’t think I’ve ever sat in a drive thru so long in my entire life. We were on a road trip trying to beat nightfall but spent probably 45 min without exaggerating in the drive thru. I was so frustrated by the wait. Each car was about 15 min when up to get their food .
My husband and I have eaten here several times and have always liked the service and food until today. We picked up two original sandwiches and I was very disappointed with the food. The sandwiches were very light on the meat. All bread and not much meat compared to what they have served us in the past. I'm not sure if they are trying to cut costs but it was a disappointment. I will try them one more time to see if this was a one time event.
1. The online ordering system kept saying that something was wrong with the order and highlighting the credit card information. After going through three different credit cards, I re-entered the phone number and that was the problem. The phone number was correct, the entry format was wrong and it doesn’t tell you what format you need. 2. Very flimsy very large Styrofoam cups that do not fit in a car very well. Not an ideal cup to be given at a drive-through. 3. No napkins are given. This is a necessity in the drive-through window. Management there must be really trying to pinch a penny. 4. The ice tea was extremely watered down. It was slightly brown, but just tasted like water.
I stopped in today because I was starving and I like the pizza. I got a full size pizza, a pick two, and a kids pizza. I also ordered two drinks and a bag of chips. 1) Pizza tasted like burnt styrofoam or plastic. 2) She put a soup instead of the drink I asked for. I went inside and explained the situation and she gave me a drink and said she would fix it. I left. I had to call back because she also forgot me chips and when I told her she had an attitude on the phone. I go to this location every once in a while and Ik what the pizza looks like. It used to be my favorite. This had barely any pepperoni, way too much cheese and no extra shredded cheese on top. That was for all 2 and half of my pizzas. Honestly this location should be shut down.
The turkey sandwich is usually really good.. I decided to try something different & went with the French dip.. The roast beef was so fatty & greasy that I couldn’t eat it.. Took 2 bites & threw an $11 sandwich away
Wow, I am absolutely amazed at how terrible service was here. Messed up 2 orders, the orders behind us, and didn’t even apologize. When I asked the girl running the food to check on my ordered being remade because it was messed up, and my missing food, she barely glanced back at me and never asked. Seriously, fire the whole staff and start over, except for the nice lady working at the cashier. Everyone else is seriously so incompetent and rude that I’m surprised they even got the job in the first place. I usually don’t even write reviews, but this place was beyond bad
First I was to pick up my food in 10 min. I drove there with ny baby. Made the line to pick up the food and stayed on the line for 40 min. As I approached the window this Horrible guy started talking to me in a way I have never seen before. What a rude person. A business owner who treats customers this way does not deserve any grace or business at all. Looking at how I was treated I asked him to cancel my food and he just told me "bye" not canceling my food. He messed up with the wrong person. Because not only I will cancel my food but will also call my lawyer as this guy is aggressive.
I did not even want to give this one star. But in order to leave a review you have to add at least one. The service Sucks I ordered a number one two number twos and a number three. The owner was the one that the order and he was the rudest person I have ever dealt with. I am wondering if he is a franchise and there is a corporate number that we can file a complaint on. I am going to be filing a consumer complaint along with BBB complaint. His actions were terrible. He has no patience and is super rude. It is not my fault that we had never ever eaten here before sadly we will never go back to another one.
Extremely rude staff. Great food but when calling numbers out, the elderly. Ouple #27 didn't respond and a man from the cook line started screaming the number. Ok, get over it EXCEPT as I was telling my 15 yo grandson the importance of professionalism, no matter the job (he just got his 1st job) the same guy screamed the next number at the top of his lungs. Several tables just looked disgusted and Commented on the rudeness and it ruined the experience.
December 15th I placed and paid for an online order to be picked up. I placed my order at 7:15pm and by the time I got there, the lobby door was closed, locked, and the employees looked out the window like the idea of a customer trying to open a door is the most bizarre thing they'd ever seen. I'm used to this at this location though. This time, however, there was a sign that they had closed early for their Christmas party. I called and was greeted with a less than friendly voice who informed me that they were closed for their Christmas party. I told the person that I was picking up an order I had placed online. I was advised that they had never made my food. At this point it was my turn to ask about the money I had paid for said food and with a sigh, the person asked my name and said I'd get a refund in 7-10 days. This has yet to occur.
The manager was so rude to the employee. Hollering and cussing them out like there not humans. So I politely asked for my full refund back. Being a General manager for years, and Store director. It takes a team to run buisness. And if you treat your team with respect they will do also. I will never go when that Woman is working.. Remind y'all. I love there sandwich, but not if the employee are mistreated
Went to eat after work last night, the female manager would rather flirt than help customers, she also was telling the otger people in line we were the teason they had to wait.our order was wrong and we had to argue to get what we wanted and paid for. The owner calls my husband to find out what happened and is disrespectful and aggressive. I tried to call corporate but sadly it goes to the manager who obviously has no customer service. I won't ever be back and I will tell all I know that this company does not care about the customers.
2nd time placing a mobile order at this location. Both visits the food was horrible. And I mean almost not edible. Order was incorrect both times also. On both visits, the bread was awful. STALE & tasteless. The mustard & mayonnaise was gobbed on in such large amounts that we had to wipe it off if the sandwich!! So very disappointing. Today's visit on July 6, 2024 @ 11:10 am. They were not busy. We will no longer include the Bastrop Schlotzkys as a lunch pickup on our way home.
Inefficient on Saturday, 7pm shift. 12/7. As the single car in the drive, I was disappointed to wait 10 mins before my order was taken. Even more so when I had to wait additional 20 mins to receive our order. Through the drive through window, I noticed staff having a gathering at front counter with friends. I could only assume this was the reason for the delay. This demonstrated lack of value to customers.
After several issues with this store I will NOT be going back ever! Today I made an online order for a salad, and purchased extras. I was told that my order will be ready at 11:39 to go inside to the counter to pick up my order. I get to the store, and there is a sign saying drive thru only. I tried to call the number to cancel my order due to it was already paid for. No on answered, and it sounded like it went to someone’s voicemail. I had not other choice but to sit in the drive through. I was in the drive through after a long time. When I finally got to the window the girl finally after 10 minutes asked me if I was there to pick up an online order. I didn’t even get what I paid for. I sent a message to the company, and received a call from the owner to the store. He said due to only having 2 employees working he couldn’t have the doors open. I discussed the issue from today, and the other issues I have encountered. He just kept telling me due to understaffing, and really didn’t have an answer. I just won’t be going back to this store. If you like paying for food you won’t get, and sitting in a line for nothing then this is a place for you.
I wouldn't even give it a star but had no choice to be able to write a comment. I understand places are short staff but that is no excuse to not welcome people who walked in or say we will be right with you. I stopped by with my 5 yr old the drive threw was very busy and there was at least 10 a head of me. There was no one taking orders at the front. I waited at least 5 minutes and still no one to take orders. My 5 yr needed to use the restroom. There was no running water in both sinks and no Sanitizer to be able to clean our hands. I also understand that a business with a drive threw they are on timers. But I feel people who go in to order no matter if its for there or to go should have the same attention. Because 99% of times going through the drive threw they screw your order up since they are so quick to get you through. I shouldn't have to go through a drive threw to get my order just to be messed up and then have to go in and wait and waste my time. I was trying to do something special for my mom bday and it was very disappointing. So need to say I walked out and didn't get her bday lunch. My mom wanted to try them again, after lunch time. We walked in, me being a manager of a fast food place looks at everything. First thing I see is a young boy and young girl playing around while a customer is waiting for their food. When I notice these two young people playing around, the young boy had helped the young girl off the floor. Once they decided to get back to work, neither of them washed their hands before putting on gloves. Watching ever move they made, once our order was called. The young girl gave me a fruit cup instead of actually looking to see we had ordered a cookie. I looked at it and she finally asked if we ordered it or a cookie. I said cookie, she did apologize then I asked her if they were super to wash their hands before putting on gloves. Her response was she didn't know. I told her being a manager at a fast food place and the fact I saw her and the young boy getting off the floor you are supposed to. I told her I will be reporting this. Then I saw another young lady coming from the bathroom, which I personally don't know if she washed her hands after going saw her go back and straight up put gloves on! I as manager wash my hands after using the restroom and wash my hands were everyone can see me. No one truly knows 8f you wash your hands before coming out of the restroom! Even tho there supposed to signs to wash your hands NOT EVERYONE DOES! Managers need to get a grip on this young kids! Because you ate off the clock doesn't mean you are off the clock!
I’ve never had a harder time getting an order than I did today. I repeated my order 3 times over the intercom (a pastrami Ruben small, and a pick 2 original now onions no olives and a broccoli cheddar soup) and was told it was going to be almost $30. So when we got to the window I double checked my order, I was told I was accidentally rung up for 2 pick 2 orders. No big deal at least we caught it. Then I got handed what was supposedly to be the Ruben, but the pick 2 wasn’t ready yet. I was asked again what the sandwich was supposed to be. As I was saying it’s the original no onions no olives the guy closed the window and said “original” , I tried to make sure he knew I didn’t want onion and olives but he didn’t hear me I guess. Then we waited almost 10 minutes to be handed a bag with 2 sandwiches and a soup. Of course we double checked it which I could tell made him frustrated, and low and behold the first sandwich we got wasn’t the Ruben but an original. So he takes the two bags back and asks again what the sandwich for the pick 2 was, so I repeated my order back to him. But instead of just letting me finish he kept cutting me off trying to put in the pick 2 order as a Ruben and soup. Finally we get the bag with the two sandwiches back and sent on our way. The Ruben barely had any meat or sauerkraut on it and the original still had olives and onions. Every time I go back I’m just more and more disappointed. Now I’m waiting for a call from the manager I guess because we could not be issued a refund by anyone in the store currently. I used to love eating here and now I’m pretty sure I’m never visiting this location again.
I don’t know exactly who this man is, but I will assume it’s the manager. I’ve seen him yell at coworkers while they’re doing their job and he’s just killing any motivation in that environment. He was also quite passive aggressive to me as the customer when I expressed I was an online order with my name and he, I quote in the most sarcastic passive tone, “Thank you! Thank you for repeating that.” After he requested at the menu voice box to repeat it at the window… Very rude and I hope he considers a new job elsewhere because the rest of the employees seemed nice, the ones that are left at least. Food is good. Sometimes it’s missing what I specifically requested, but I’m sure it’s to no help from the screaming manager.
It was a busy Sunday in the drive-thru but worth the wait. My Chicken Avocado Cobb Salad was great. My Fiesta Chicken sandwich great taste but the bun was s bit soft, like a soft biscuit. But I enjoyed every bite.
At the drive thru. Our food was dropped on the floor, inside the store and the employee put it all back in the bag and tried to hand it to us as, if we didn't see that happening. Also a health code violation. Wonder how many more they are breaking at the moment. At 8pm. On Feb 13. Talked to manager on duty Brooke will follow up with Luke GM. We had a $58 order.
Not only did it take them 1 full hour to get my two sandwiches made, but when the lady in the drive-thru gave me someone else’s order instead of mine and I brought it to her attention, she rolled her eyes, told me to “just hold on” and disappeared for almost ten minutes. When she came back to the window with my order (which was still only partly correct!), she opened the window, shoved the bag toward me without saying a word, and closed the window/disappeared again. Tried calling multiple times and no one answers the phone.
The franchise owner is rude and has an issue repeating himself or just dealing with customers period. You need to have the menu memorized and money in hand if he takes your order. For this restaurant to be so pricey for a sandwich, the service does not reflect the quality that I'm sure is expected from corporate. Hopefully someone else will have a different experience.
I’m more irritated than anything. I’m 9 months pregnant and all I wanted was 1/2 sandwich because I knew that I wouldn’t eat the whole sandwich. The counter staff had to call someone over to enter it into the machine and when she looked at me and said “You’re going to pay $7.99 for a half sandwich?” And I was like? “No. If you’re going to charge me full price, give me the whole sandwich.” I think it’s a little ridiculous that I couldn’t order half as sandwich for a lower price. If she hasn’t said anything, I wouldn’t have realized they were going to charge me full price for half a sandwich. Not to mention it was right after the store opened at 8am and this was the state of their bathrooms. Unacceptable. That dropped the review from two or three stars to one.
If there was an option for 0 stars I would have selected that. 1 star will have to suffice. The service was completely non existent. I have 6 kids so we have big orders when we order food at a drive thru. 9 times out of 10 our orders are messed up or missing something, which is not a big deal because it’s a lot to put together and usually we are just given the missing item no problem. However yesterday we ordered an Avacado turkey sandwich, when we received the item it had no Avacado and when I was repackaging it to return it, one half dropped on the floor. So I just took the second half of the sandwich inside to show the. I was met with a very impolite and rude worker who told me “I can only give you half a sandwich back”. To which I responded “pardon? The whole sandwich was made incorrectly made though” to which she snapped back “fine I’ll make a new one” and I said thank you. Meanwhile I walked outside to get the other half of the sandwich to give to her proving I didn’t eat it or remove the Avacado. I came back and saw her behind the counter discussing the confusion and mistake with the lady who had made the previous sandwich forgetting the Avacado. She said “I’m sorry I forgot it was no mayo not Avacado so I got them mixed up”. I saw mayo already on the second sandwich and the girl said “so this one isn’t supposed to have mayo?” She said “no” and she closed the sandwich and handed it to me anyways. Asking me if it was supposed to have no mayo. I told her I’d go check the receipt bc my husband ordered the food. I brought the receipt back in smiling and i said “I’m sorry it is supposed to be no mayo and no tomatoes” and handed her the sandwich politely. The original impolite worker said under her breath “I’m going to leave before I blow up on someone.” Which was a little confusing given the original mistake was on them and not me. It was rung up correctly and I was given the wrong sandwich twice. The third time they gave me the original sandwich with everything on it not honoring the receipt at all. So my husband went back inside for a 4th time asking them to please make it correctly. People make mistakes, I asked very nicely for it to be corrected the first time and she was so rude to me saying she was only going to give me half a sandwich. I couldn’t think of anything more passive aggressive to a customer than that, when I had zero hostility or frustration when asking for the sandwich to be remade correctly. Zero customer service and any remote consideration for an order that could have easily just been corrected without any problems. I was very patient and understanding until she mumbled she was going to go off on me. For a mistake she made and refused to rectify in a professional manner. When I order food from a drive thru for my family I don’t want to be met with frustration and annoyance from young girls who are being paid to do a service. You are hired there and working a job that requires you to serve. I wanted to receive the sandwich I had already paid for. Incredibly rude, inconsiderate, and so unprofessional. Not a single manager came to apologize or offer to reimburse me for the mistake. My husband is a business owner and would have fired her the second she said something unprofessional in front of a customer. Terrible service.
They don’t ever give all of what you order. Something is always missing.
I guess this driver through doesn't work at all. I spent most of my lunch waiting to give my order and have to leave because I had to go back to work. They either need to hire more or better people in there.
We were treated like trash by the manager for trying to add a review about their restaurant online. I was about to add a positive review, but got quickly reprimanded by this man. Rude attitude, right from the start. Zero customer service. I had never been treated this way before. This was my first time coming in to try it out, I asked for a refund before getting my food, will never be back!!!! If seriously freaked out, we were also the only LATINOS in the restaurant, so I’m pretty sure this had to do with racism. Do not recommend. This place is trash. If I could give this place ZERO STARS I WOULD!!!!
Placed an order online and made sure to customize without certain things. For some reason, when I placed my order, the customizations didn't save. I asked them to remake it because my daughter is highly allergic to onions. The teenager at the window called over the owner and the owner came over with the sandwich that was made wrong. He was giving it back to me saying that they can only make it how it is made on the receipt. I told him that we customized it before paying for it. He said no we didn't and proceeded to be rude. I asked him if he can remake it because my daughter was allergic to onions. He said "no, then what am I going to do with this sandwich? I'll lose money that way". I told him that she was allergic to onions and he said it didn't matter and I would have to pay for another one. He was extremely rude. It is so sad that someone so rude is the owner of this establishment. Reading through all of these reviews about the owner and how he has been so rude to so many people, I truly don't understand how he can still be in business. It is so sad that a CHRISTIAN man cares more about his profits and lining his pockets than he does about his paying customers. Needless to say, I won't be a customer here anymore, nor will my family.
This review is for the manager of the store. I don't usually write reviews for fast food chains. I went to the store and kept waiting infront of the counter for like 20 mins along with another elderly couple who were waiting to order food. No one even bothered to come infront of the counter even though there were 3 individuals working in the back kitchen. If you are busy, atleast have the courtesy to let people know that you cannot take any more orders. Keeping your customers waiting forever, is not cool.
Ate at another one of these in 1999. Thought it was good. I was excited to try this place again, ordered the Turkey Avocado. The bread was stale and definitely old. They tried to send me out without filling my complete order. And the small as hell sandwich was over $9. IN TEXAS!
I love Schlotzsky’s, but this place is terrible. My sandwiches are always dry and hardly have any vegetables. I always ask fresh vegetables and they act like it’s a big deal to put extra on my sandwich and then on top of that the manager is extremely rude. I don’t know how he still the manager here we need a better Schlotzsky’s run in Bastrop.
My husband and I were almost the only people there which worried us, then we got our food a Chicken bacon calzone and a beef and bacon and within thirty minutes we were both sick, it is the next day and I am still sick. Your supervisor or owner needs to inventory his products making sure they are fresh and not deteriorating in some way. Sad because word gets around.
I don’t usually write a review, but this was disappointing. And not everybody is able to turn around and go back when they are on their lunch, but this is highly not a Ruben sandwich and the chicken sandwich was not put together well at all, I don’t know who was working the kitchen, but someone needs to step up their game . It stated on the menu that the Ruben was on rye with Swiss cheese, thousand Island dressing, sauerkraut and of course the meat. you can clearly see on the small sandwich There is no cheese melted to the bread and it’s not rye bread whatsoever. Like I stated before, not everyone can turn back around and drive back into town when they’re on their lunch. Kinda get stuck having to eat this. So that being said, everyone should check their order when they’re at the window.
We stopped at this location headed south back home to the coast. There was not a clean table in the restaurant, the trashes are literally over flowing and there is stuff all over the floor. The bathrooms were disgusting. My husband said the food was good. I ended up putting hand sanitizer on a napkin to clean a table just so we would have a place to sit. Is the restaurant short staffed? I don’t think we will be stopping here again and we travel this way pretty often this time of year.
