We came here to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The food was outstanding, with generous portions that left us more than satisfied. The service was exceptional! Staff were incredibly attentive and made us feel truly welcomed. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, adding to the overall enjoyment of our evening! While the drinks were slightly on the pricey side, everything else was flawless. I would 100% return and will be recommending this place to anyone looking for an amazing Italian meal in Bath!

What an amazing experience! From the moment we walked in, Giuseppe made us feel so welcome—it was like being greeted by an old friend. It was such a pleasure to chat with him, especially exchanging a few words in Italian. It really set the tone for a wonderful evening. Now, the food—absolutely fantastic! The meatballs as a starter? A total must-try. They were packed with flavor and so comforting. And the pizza… wow! It was perfection. Big shoutout to the pizza chef. Whether you’re out for a casual meal, a family dinner, or celebrating something special, I can’t recommend this place enough. Great food, great atmosphere, and amazing people—what more could you ask for?

Great night out at Colosseo to celebrate my sister’s A-level results. Food was excellent across the board. Scallops, special pasta with vongole and crab meat, and pepperoni pizza especially good. Service very attentive as well. Little bit slow, but we didn’t mind at all, and having worked in hospitality myself I know how hard it can be. Was lovely to speak to waiters in Italian. Extremely generous from manager to give us some free drinks throughout the meal. Classic Italian hospitality. Grazie mille per la cena buonissima! A la prossima

My friend and I found this hidden gem by chance whilst having a girlie day shopping in Bath. On arrival we were greeted by Mallory who was extremely professional and polite. We started by ordering cocktails followed by three courses which were all well presented and delicious. The customer service we received was excellent throughout and we will definitely be back. I will be recommending to friends and colleagues. Superb!!!

Me and my partner came here to celebrate my birthday. The food was so nice, we had cheesy garlic bread to start, I had the Spaghetti bolonese and my partner had buffalo mozzarella and pesto pizza. We also had the truffle chips on side, the portions are very generous, we were so full we took half home with us! The service was spot on, super friendly and very attentive. If celebrating your birthday, you can mention this when booking (optional) and they do a lovely little surprise at the end which makes it really special and personal. Would highly recommend this Italian if visiting Bath, we're so glad we chose here!

The most wonderful Italian restaurant and meal we’ve had in a long time! The pizza was incredible, along with the Truffle Risotto and the garlic bread with cheese was a real treat! On top of the phenomenal food – on par with the food we had on a recent trip to Italy – but the restaurant is dog friendly, too! They couldn’t look after us enough and the atmosphere was amazing. You also have to have the tiramisu if you visit. I’m now looking for another excuse to visit Bath so we can come back to this restaurant 😅😍

We went to Colesseo when in Bath and it was a perfect way to end our day. The food was absolutely delicious with great staff who help make you feel at home. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! If you are in Bath it is a must you go. I had the Taglatelle and my Mum had the seafood linguine on the specials list. The Tiramisu is to die for!!

My husband and I stopped for lunch here on our visit to Bath and we are so thankful we did. We knew from the greeting from the staff when we entered that it was going to be an enjoyable experience and we were not disappointed. Everything was perfect- the atmosphere, the service, the servers, the food and drink menu selection, and the taste and quality of the food itself! Be certain to stop for a meal at Colosseo when in Bath!

Lovely staff. The tables were a little snug but we did visit on Valentine’s Day so they may have tried to fit more in. The food was delicious it was so hard to choose what to have. We have visited Italy and this food was very very good.

Tucked away from the busiest parts of Bath centre, great for those looking for a relaxing meal after a long day. Seafood is highly recommended, great quality ingredients. Staff were very attentive and welcoming. Overall great experience.

First time here last night, NYs Eve, and it was a fabulous experience. The standard of food was excellent, and many more dishes I fancy in the future. The only downside is that one has to queue for the single mixed toilet. Would still highly recommend.

My family absolutely adore this authentic Italian restaurant. Not just because they welcome our two beautiful Shih Tzus to join us but also because the menu is perfect and the dishes are authentic Italian and we have experienced plenty of meals in Italy over the past 30 years. Thursday evening dinner seated right near the Pass , the place was buzzing… service fantastic from AJ and the team . Our go to for lunch or dinner in Bath … do not miss out on this😊 !

My mum and I stopped here for dinner after a long day of walking an it turned into a lovely evening. The food and wine are fairly priced and very good! I had the spaghetti Al burro which I would recommend, and mum had the lasagna Al forno. The service was spectacular! Each of the gentlemen working here tonight were very professional and personable. They made great recommendations and were very attentive. Special thanks to Fabio and Klajdi! (Sorry if I spelled that wrong!) We had an amazing time.

My 12 yo daughter & I were spending the night in Bath and enjoyed a wonderful meal here. The arancini to start was very tasty & their pomodoro sauce is spot on. Pasta dishes are excellent & we finished by sharing a tiramisu! Excellent red wine and the staff are very welcoming. Definitely feel the family ethos here!

We ate at Colosseo during the Bath Christmas market season 2025. This was our second visit, having previously visited in the same period in 2024. On this occasion, we were served by Fabio, who was extremely welcoming and attentive. There was an enjoyable, bustling atmosphere. I attended with my Mum and we each had a starter and main course. For me, king prawns followed by the tagliatelle ragu. The food was really tasty and appeared to be made with all fresh ingredients. We enjoyed a bottle of Primitivo with our food. We will definitely return on our next visit to Bath.

Apart from in Italy, this is the best Italian experience I have had in my life. The food was incredible, the wine was out of this world and to top it off... the service was second to none! Everyone was so attentive and though we went on a busy Saturday evening in December, they made us feel welcomed and not rushed with due care and attention. 5* doesn't give this justice and we will be back!

amazing!! we came in with a party of seven, and were welcomed warmly. we had a birthday at the table and the staff made it such a special experience. our waitor happily took pictures for us, made us all laugh and they bought out the cake we bought at the end of the meal with a sparkler and singing happy birthday. the food was delicious, clean plates all around. one member was vegetarian and easily found something to eat. thank you!!!

Had a cracking night at Colosseo. We were a table of 5 and Klajdi looked after us really well. He was very friendly and gave us two great wine recommendations. The food and the atmosphere was wonderful. We'll certainly be going back again and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend

In Bath on a short break from Cardiff for a few days with friends to see the sights and visit the Christmas markets. We chose the Colosseo restaurant on Milsom Street right in the heart of the Christmas markets area on spec yesterday evening as we hadn't been before - but we certainly will again. Lovely clean traditional yet contemporary feeling Italian restaurant whose staff were extremely attentive and friendly. However, the star of the show was the food which was absolutely exceptional. Between the four of us we had a mix of meat, seafood, pasta, rice, sides and desert dishes all of which were truly exceptional. I can't speak to highly of the Colosseo restaurant whose staff together with its exceptional food made for a magical experience 10/10.

As a big fan of Italian food, there’s no better place that comes to my mind other than Colloseo, absolutely lovely staff, just like their food. A must visit for everyone as the ambience is perfect for all occasions. Arjun and Rupen provided amazing customer service, very accommodating and hospitable!

Great food, both pizza’s were great. Olives and homemade bread were a delicious way to start our evening. Service was excellent too, attentive and friendly. Great experience overall!

An Evening of Excellence: The Best Service and Perfect Tiramisu ​Five stars just don't feel like enough for this place. From the moment we walked in, the service at Colosseo was truly world class genuinely attentive, knowledgeable, and delivered with a warmth that felt like we were dining at a friend's home. Our server, in particular, was fantastic, offering perfectly timed suggestions and making sure our experience was flawless without ever being intrusive. It was, hands down, part of the best service I've ever encountered. ​The culinary experience matched the hospitality. We started with a lovely glass of wine a beautifully regional white chardonnay , which paired beautifully with everything. For the main course, I chose a callamari starter and a main course pasta dish the and it was divine. Perfectly al dente, rich, and utterly authentic. It's the kind of pasta that transports you straight to Italy. ​And then there was the grand finale: the tiramisu. I’m a harsh critic of this classic, and this version was spectacular. Light, creamy, soaked just right, and finished with the perfect dusting of cocoa. It was the absolute highlight of the meal. ​If you're looking for exquisite Italian food combined with service that redefines excellent, this is your spot. I can’t wait to return!

What a delightful restaurant!! when this restaurant opened we thought it was yet another chain venue but decided to give it a go - and we are so glad we did. We miss Martinis but think that this place is actually better. The food (arancini, bolognese tagliatelli and mushroom rissotto was excellent, the atmosphere was relaxing and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely return

I would like to congratulate the entire team of this amazing restaurant on Christmas and on your well-deserved success. Places like this are becoming rare — places with a true family atmosphere, where everyone laughs and jokes, where the food is outstanding, and where people genuinely care for one another. Today we had a truly unforgettable dinner, during which my husband and I found out the gender of our baby. The team helped us completely spontaneously — instantly coming up with an idea and turning it into a beautiful celebration for us. I truly don’t have enough words to express my gratitude. You are the best!

We went for a meal on Saturday 6th December, turned up early and the restaurant staff were so accommodating. Sat in the window so we could see the whole restaurant. Staff are very friendly and all Italian which makes it so inviting. Food was delicious - the olives were divine! Portions and presentation were perfect. We all had different dishes - risotto, pasta and pizza. Couldn't fault any of them. The staff also sang Happy Birthday to our 18 yr old with a fountain sparkler in ice cream - a lovely touch! Highly recommend this gem on Milsom Street.

I had a lovely meal here yesterday with my partner! The food was outstanding and there was a lovely list of Italian wines. Our server (a young lady whose name I didn’t grab) was absolutely superb and a real asset to the establishment. We’ll definitely be back to try the steak!

My partner and I were visiting bath for our anniversary and this was the first restaurant we dined at on our trip. It was such a cosy vibe and the service was very professional. The location was ideal as our bus from the Lansdown park and ride stopped right outside and the centre was on its doorstep. The food was excellent too, perfect portion sizes and we were served very quickly. We frequently go out for meals and love to travel, this was by far in our top 3 restaurants and will definitely be coming back next time we are in Bath. Thank you for making our anniversary feel special!

Lovely place, great authentic atmosphere. Staff are puffed up with brilliant Italian bravado, good banter and very attentive. Food looked amazing was mainly really good. The pomodoro sauce was as others have said a little watery but still had good flavour. Very generous portions and the garlic pizza bread was excellent. Prices were typical for the area.

We went for lunch here a few weeks ago. Starting with the positives the service was very good and attentive, nice ambiance. The food however was very below par, I had the carbonara which had been completely overcooked and was served like a scrabbled egg stodgy pasta dish, with undercooked pancetta with white chewy rind, you can see by looking at it it’s been cooked wrong so unsure why a chef would send it out, very sloppy. Won’t be returning.

Food was nice but we were pushed off our table after just over 1 hour of being there, being told we couldn’t even get dessert if we wanted it and had to finish the last of our single drinks order at the bar. Not in a particularly pleasant fashion. Disappointed as hoped for a nice meal and atmosphere but felt very rushed which ruined it.

I was surprised by the number of 4- and 5-star reviews for this restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t live up to the hype. We found the food bland and mediocre overall. The Gin Royal cocktails were disappointing—they were garnished with lime instead of the proper fruit, which gave them an odd flavor. We started with the shrimp in white wine sauce appetizer, which was completely tasteless. For our entrées, we ordered the chicken and mushroom pasta and the penne arrabbiata. The chicken was mediocre, and the penne lacked any real flavor. Given the restaurant’s strong ratings, this was quite a letdown. The one positive note was our server, who was very efficient.
