Visited The Ivy Bath Brasserie and loved the classic British restaurant feel. The ambience is elegant yet relaxed, and what impressed me most was the good choice of vegetarian and vegan dishes. The food was genuinely very nice—well presented, well balanced, and full of flavour. Service was warm and polished, making it a great spot for a calm, enjoyable meal in the heart of Bath.

I had an excellent experience at The Ivy in Bath. The food was delicious and the staff were on another level, they were all friendly, welcoming and helpful. I only caught the names for Jamie and Maja, but they were all lovely. I particularly enjoyed the starter and the dessert and would recommend a visit.

One of the best Ivy locations in the UK—not just in terms of ambience, but also because the quality of food is spot-on. The service is impeccable, and the restaurant is right in the heart of Bath city centre. It’s buzzing throughout the day, and whenever you walk in, it’s always busy. Every time I’m in Bath, I make sure to have at least one meal here. Reservations aren’t required in the mornings, even on weekends. Breakfast is served until 11 am on weekends and until 11:30 am on weekdays, with an excellent English breakfast available.

We had the Sunday Roast, Black Cod and Truffle & Parmesan Fries, and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious and unpretentious everything was! Everything was also well priced considering the upscale look of the restaurant. Some servers were a little snooty, perhaps more noticeably since we’re Asian, but honestly it wasn’t the worst!

We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at The Ivy in Bath. We started with a delicious crab appetizer and a flavorful duck salad, followed by a perfectly cooked chicken breast served in a rich truffle sauce and an outstanding steak in peppercorn sauce that simply melted in the mouth. For dessert, we indulged in an incredible treat — ice cream enclosed in a chocolate bomb with a silky chocolate mousse, beautifully melted by hot caramel sauce poured over the top. It was divine! The décor was stunning, the atmosphere was calm and elegant, making it the perfect place to celebrate special moments with loved ones. The service was excellent — attentive and professional without being intrusive. We highly recommend The Ivy and will definitely return on our next visit to Bath!

I went to visit with friends today, and it was a real treat! One of the waiters even did something so kind that we were quite touched. A diner accidentally dropped their napkin, and the waiter picked it up and gave them a new one. We had such a wonderful time, and we’re already looking forward to coming back!

A romantic evening, service and food were amazing, so much choice and generous portions, the price very reasonable and the staff were so friendly and really funny actually, I'd definitely return, the decor was beautiful, probably one of the finer restaurants I've visited in recently years.

I enjoyed a lovely vegan dinner with attentive service and beautifully decorated surroundings. Just one suggestion for improvement: please consider changing the cleaning products or perfumes in the bathrooms; the scent is so strong and overwhelming it clings to my hair and sinuses well afterwards, when I am trying to relax and nourish myself. Thank you!

We had the best time here thanks to the bartenders Jamie and Tony! All of our cocktails were incredible, and the service was very friendly. It was the perfect location for a lovely evening out with a great drink selection.

We went here for diner last night and the food was disappointing. My appetizer was the mozzarella clementine, which was just a bowl of mozzarella slammed on my plate with two slices of clementine and some rucola Then I had the fillet steak which was was chewy and not cooked properly. Fries were good! We ordered the dessert, got advised by the kind waitress. But also here, we all were dissatisfied. The Santa looked a little bit sad and tasted more like a children’s dessert. The ice cream was still hard frozen. Prices are too high for the quality of the food. Not coming back here anytime soon.

I had a lovely dinner at The Ivy. The food was amazing, and the Chicken Milanese was cooked to perfection! We were served by Arthur, who was very friendly and attentive throughout the evening. Although we waited a little longer than expected for our starters, Scarlet, the manager, kindly brought us olives and almonds while we waited, which was a lovely touch. Everything was well managed — thank you! We’ll definitely be coming back.

We visited the Ivy for a few drinks on my birthday weekend away. Jake was the bartender and he was great, a good laugh and made our experience really memorable. Definitely recommend!

My friend and I had the most beautiful meal at the Ivy in Bath. We had tempura prawns, salt and pepper squid, shepherds pie and vegetable curry. Washed down with 2 champagne mojitos and a bottle of Pinot Grigio. Delicious! We were served by Daisy W chk 332 on Saturday 8 November. She was very attentive and friendly. Daisy took a couple of photos for us. Thanks Daisy for making our evening special!

Had dinner booked before a concert and I must say it was some of the best food I have ever eaten. The restaurant was a little loud, but that is to be expected with the amount of people within a relatively small space. The service was excellent - extremely fast and the staff were very friendly plus professional. I cannot recommend the raspberry, white chocolate and mango cheesecake, with passionate fruit syrup within the middle. The watermelon and strawberry prosecco was also divine, we had to have two. Highly recommend.

Faultless from the minute we got outside. Looked gorgeously Christmassy, warm and inviting. The greeting was the same. Fab food, great staff, lovely surroundings…..just fab!

Didn’t plan on dining here but now we’re so glad we did! The crispy duck salad was refreshing and full of fun textures, and the french onion soup warmed us up after a cold, rainy morning. We decided to share the Good Friday special, a Fish (seafood) Pie, which was absolutely delicious. Lots of meat and didn’t require any additional seasoning. Would return here on our next visit.

Our first time having afternoon tea! What an experience! Elegant, cool and sophisticated. But I think we weren't, at least I was like a child who wanted to taste all at once. There were so many taste sensations in a fantastic display. The staff was friendly but strict and made sure we had what we needed.

A Wonderful Anniversary Meal at The Ivy Bath We had a fantastic dining experience at The Ivy Bath to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant itself is absolutely stunning, with beautiful décor and a warm, elegant atmosphere. The staff were incredibly attentive and made us feel truly special from start to finish. The food was outstanding—every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. As a lovely surprise, they even created a special anniversary pudding for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. It was a memorable evening in every way. Highly recommended for a special occasion or just a great meal out in Bath!

Visited on a Sunday night, was fairly busy considering how quiet the city was in general. Food was really good and brought out relatively quickly. Staff were attentive and helpful, but not overbearing. Value of the winter 3 course menu was great. All in all - strongly recommend.

I had an exceptional experience during my visit today. The service provided was remarkable, the staff greeted us with warm smiles and consistently demonstrated kindness and excellence throughout our meal. The food was not only delicious but also offered a unique selection that stood out. The atmosphere of the establishment was inviting, contributing to an overall enjoyable experience. Additionally, the restrooms were impeccably clean and maintained to a high standard. The timing of the meal service was also impressive, with drinks, starters, and the main course arriving promptly. Khinga who looked after us was exceptional.Thank you.

Stunning food! Can't fault our experience at all. Lovely waitress called Kinga, Service was quick and friendly. They amended our valentine's meal time slot as we were going to be late. Overall a wonderful experience.

We really visited on trip to bath following our wedding and had a lovely time and even got a profiteroles as a nice little surprise. All the staff were lovely, sadly I cannot remember our servers name but she was very good, we do not usually tip when we go out for food, but we had a was great experience so we did this time!

I recently visited The Ivy Bath for a Boxing Day meal with some family and friends. We took advantage of their fantastic brunch set menu, which included a welcome drink, arancini to start, as well as a choice of main course, a side and a dessert – all for under £35! The food itself was fantastic, and I enjoyed every bite I had. The arancini were hot and fresh, and my Chicken Milanese was fantastic. I honestly couldn’t fault any element of the meal. The service was exemplary, as you would expect from an Ivy. I always love the buzzy atmosphere and exquisite surroundings of an Ivy – and The Ivy Bath is no exception to this. Its opulent feel really makes it feel a special place. Overall, the whole group had a wonderful meal, and a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon out. If you’re looking for a lovely meal out in Bath – The Ivy is a great choice.

We came to The Ivy Bath Brasserie & Garden for New New Years Eve. They had a special menu which on first glance, using their QR code, there was not much I could eat as I am dairy and gluten intolerant. The server got the Manager, we dicussed what I hoped would be my choices and agreed dishes that could be alterterd to suit. The food and wine were excellent, the service was on top form we had a brilliant evening. Thank you so much!

Arthur looked after us tonight and made our anniversary very special! His recommendation of the chicken skewers was the perfect choice, and our steak was delicious. Arthur had a friendly yet professional manner, and made the experience exceptionally good. Set menu was also very good for the price

Went to The Ivy in Bath today with my best friend for lunch. This time we chose from the 1917 menu. We both chose the Sheppards Pie with a side of broccoli stems then for dessert we both had the creme brulee. Finishing off with coffee aftrrwards. It was all delicious 😋 and excellent value for money. As normal the service and atmosphere was great. We will be going back next month but then ordering from their normal menu as their 1917 special will be over.

Fantastic evening. We were looked after by Kiki who coped with a table of 11 wanting all sorts of different things!! She was great. The food delicious and good sized portions. Thanks Kiki and The Ivy, made our evening!

We had a lovely Birthday Dinner at The Ivy Bath. The food was absolutely fantastic, very well presented and the service was absolutely fantastic. We were served by Kate who was very friendly, supportive and professional. My daughter got a birthday treat from the restaurant which was another bonus. The atmosphere was very relaxing and we will definitely come back for another birthday party or just breakfast.

We celebrated my wife’s birthday here. I had a fillet steak and chips which was gorgeous. The steak was the best I’ve had. My wife had some sort of fish cake with a poached egg on top ? Which she thoroughly enjoyed. We were welcomed with smiles. And the table staff were extremely pleasant. What more can you ask for….

I attended the Milsom Street Ivy for a birthday treat. A solo trip by myself, where I decided to have a nice lunch. Firstly the receptionists were very polite and welcoming. They were very accommodating and took me to a seat which suited me (hidden away so I could read my book and not have everyone else looking at me). The manager I believe, Her name was Ashleigh - served myself and the table next to me. As a solo diner I enjoy watching the world go by and people watching! It was a treat to see and listen to Ashleigh be so sweet, kind and attentive to her customers. I would highly recommend this Ivy - the food was perfect and the service was top tier.

Had one bad experience with Ivy years ago but I wanted to give it another try and I’m glad I did. The Bath branch was really nice! The staff was really friendly and caring. The Lady who served us was very nice and efficient too. The food was also delicious and generous. I recommend the lobster soufflé, the bread and the fish cakes. Will definitely come back again!

The prices are very high for what you get, there is a set menu but the options are very limited, especially when the blackened cod (which must be popular) is sold out. That being said it’s a nice place for a special occasion, with nice cocktails and good service. The peanut satay skewers were very nice but the chicken Milanese was a bit bland (and you need to pay £6 extra for a side!) however the little birthday profiterole was very welcome and a nice touch.

As you would expect from the Ivy, it is very stylish, and the food is on point. The time I was there, I don't know if it was a change of shift, but the service was lacking. I ordered a chocolate bomb for dessert, but when it was brought out, it was left on the counter for someone to serve me and sat there for about 10 minutes. By then, the caramel sauce had cooled, so it didn't melt the chocolate when it was poured over the dessert. 🙄 Eventually, another one was brought out, but I waited 25 minutes for dessert.

This branch with a lavish floral façade, and interiors dripping with elegance and personality. With afternoon sunlight streaming through the space, it’s not just comfortable, it brings a sense of ceremony to the afternoon tea experience. [Afternoon Tea] Came for their much hyped Afternoon Tea, when delivered, the dry ice presentation was a theatrical touch. Portions were generous, sandwiches surprisingly filling, and the scones, buttery, soft, and absolutely divine. Total standout. The desserts lacked finesse. The crème brûlée had potential, smooth, aromatic, but was thrown off by a random berry compote that just didn’t vibe. Skipped the hot tea and got an iced mocha instead, served like a martini, bold coffee punch, and genuinely flawless. [Roasted Scallops] Delicate presentation, perfectly cooked scallops, tender and silky. The truffle foam added a light, elegant touch, and the crispy potato hash gave a great contrast in texture. Simple, refined, and absolutely worth ordering. [French Onion Soup] Rich, piping hot, and full of depth. Gooey cheese over crusty bread with sweet caramelized onions, comforting and flavorful to the last spoonful. Prices are on the mid to high side. The food was solid, especially the two starters, which stood out. The much hyped afternoon tea set was decent, but not mind blowing. Overall, the decor steals the show, perfect for photos and a stylish dining vibe. Recommended Dishes: 👍🏻 》 Roasted Scallops 👍🏻 》 French Onion Soup 👍🏻 》 Iced Mocha 🆗 》Afternoon Tea 🆗 》Traditional Fish and Chips 🆗 》Berry Smoothie

Customer service was out of this world! Restuarant was cleaned and well kept. Felt like royalty and treated better. Food was tasty snd flavorful. Ordered the Crab and Avocado Tian. Nice and refreshing. No fishy taste. Had Shepherd's Pie for main. Was served hot and was tasty. The creme brule was a bit underwhelming. The sugar was a bit too burnt and that hurt the flavor of the custard. Tea was refreshing. Prices were want I expected of a fine dining restaurant.

We had afternoon tea. The atmoshpere was nice. We had decaf coffee because there was no decaf tea option. The sandwiches were delicious. Loved the creme brule, chocolate bomb and taste of the cupcake. Service was good. I would have preferred the fresh flowers for the afternoon tea stand but the liquid nitrogen for presentation was nice touch. I would like to go back and try the Dubai chocolate bomb 😋

Had a pleasant lunch at the ivy, with very tasty food. The atmosphere was enjoyable and comfortable. Only reason it is not 5 star is because we were kept waiting at the door for at least 5 minutes as no one was at the host stand and our waitress was very attentive but was a bit unsure of the menu.

Despite visiting London four times previously, I had never experienced afternoon tea until now. The atmosphere was wonderful, with decor that felt straight out of The Great Gatsby. I felt a bit insecure about my casual attire—just a t-shirt and jeans—but the staff's attitude put me at ease. They were incredibly welcoming and accepting, embracing people of all types and races regardless of appearances. The sandwiches were delicious, and the presentation was divine. The use of dry ice and smoke effects added a theatrical flair that truly impressed us. Additionally, the pricing was quite reasonable, especially compared to other venues with starting prices around £50. My only wish would be for bigger teapots, as I loved the tea and couldn’t get enough of it. Nonetheless, if I ever find myself in Bath again, I will definitely return to this lovely establishment. Thank you for the wonderful and respectful service.

The venue is amazing. A beautiful building coupled with a modern yet cozy vibe. The hostesses as you walk in were friendly and the young waiter who served us at the beginning was very attentive, polite and overall very good. However the restaurant maitre d seemed self obsessed with his own self importance. The second round of drinks we have him as an order never arrived and when he apologised and we cancelled the beers to switch to cocktails both came back different to what we asked for. The French onion soup was good but I’ve had better and the calamari was exceptionally good. My fillet steak (blue) was very very good but my colleague who asked for the ribeye on the bone medium rare came medium and by the time he finished was closer to medium well due to the bone. I know how difficult it is for steak on the bone to be cooked right but at £38 I’d expect it to be perfect. Desserts were good but didn’t blow us away!! Overall a good experience but for premium prices I’d expect near perfection.

Ivy experience away from London in October 25. It is never a good sign when the experience is ruined on just reaching the reception desk. Sadly this was what happened on our visit where the receptionist/ a lady with a hair in bun had such a foul and condescending attitude towards our party/. It was simply uncalled for and her behaviour and attitude not to the standard of usual Ivy London experience.. Having said above another lady receptionist , who greeted us on our return/ as we had to wait outdoors / has been wonderful and greeted us warmly for our booking at 4:30 for my husband’s 62nd birthday. The server was lovely and friendly too The atmosphere was good, The servers and management seemed stressed, tired and a bit tense however our lady server was accommodating and pleasant. Food arrived a bit late as we have spent more than anticipated for our late birthday lunch but maybe we are just more used to London 2 hour table limit. In general good was lovely, do try aubergine , sea bass and arancini. Also chicken schnitzel. As a b’day treat do go for chocolate bombe, melted in front of your eyes. Heaven In all a good visit and 62nd birthday with the family Ivy do remind reception to treat every customer without prejudice and accommodate families with teenagers. They will be your future customers! It would’ve been a full star visit has it not been for very unpleasant initial encounter with a receptionist. Oh and our return she started laughing I. Front of us and putting her head in a male receptionist shoulder , bad mouthing a lively blonde receptionist who had actually tried to assist with our booking! Thank you to our server a lovely manager who cleared our table and a birthday treat for my husband!

The service was very very slow and we asked for sparkling water 3 times before they remembered. The food was ok- but for the price, I expected more. The chocolate bomb dessert was a let down because the caramel sauce was at too hard of a stage and turned into rock very quickly. Everything was a bit underseasoned. The scallops were great but small.

L
Laura Largs

Duck salad appeared to have been under a hot lamp, salad wilted, plates hot! Appreciate the duck itself was meant to be warm but heating the plates and salad not good. Bartender had no knowledge of the wines, served the cheapest one without listening to the customer who. I've visited many ivy and am used to excellent service, bartender knowledge, food presentation. Ivy Bath sadly fell well below usual standards of Ivy.

Afternoon tea, not worth the money, over cooked scones, crust from the loaf was used for egg sandwich, not a great selection. Have had far better afternoon tea at the cafe at the park in Yate.

Had a really disappointing lunch here. An aubergine dish, and it was practically raw! Never one to complain but couldn't eat it (was with a client so couldn't order anything else). Nice atmosphere and the rest of the group enjoyed their food so maybe I just got unlucky.
