This place was perfect. Arrived without a reservation with a party of 9 and were seated immediately. The bread cam out warm and was the best we have had yet on our trip! We tried several dishes and were impressed by ALL of them! Stand outs were the carpaccio, the peperone crusco (very had to describe but delicious--it was like a sweet dried pepper, seasoned, and served chilled (best comparison is it tasted like a really crispy nacho chipbut healthy!), the riccioli del nostra chef and the gnocchi. So good we all shared desserts and espresso too. So glad we did because they were also excellent. Servers were warm, attentive and fun. Can't think of any negatives!! We would recommend to anyone!

Warm, cosy atmosphere and well-visited location by tourists and Italians alike. Kind, welcoming and quick waiters and waitresses. One of them even remembered us after having seen us just once during our stay. Delicious meals as well as desserts including a wide selection of vegetarian food. There is space inside the restaurant as well as a well heated and rain-sheltered outdoor terrace. It's just a comfortable stroll from the city center away. Personally, the current rating of the restaurant by far underestimates this gem.

Far underrated. Pizza was as good as a normal Italian Pizza (nothing special, but fresh and good quality). Cannelloni ricotta e spinaci was excellent. Service was kind. The wine we ordered first was not our taste, and without any problem they changed it, and not charging it.

The pizza was very tasty, specially the tomato sauce they use. We asked for customized pizza and they were ready to add extras without charging for it. Can’t say anything about the behavior of waiters and staff since we had a takeaway but be aware that the restaurant is on the main road which can be a bit noisy. Overall I def recommend the restaurant, their pizza was great!

5 stars: Best Pizza in Baveno! Positive: - Great pizza! - Nice service - No long waiting times - The waiters are nice and like to make a joke Negative: - No lake view terrace. In first place we did not think about this pizzeria because of the missing view. After eating at the restaurants with the view, think of Lounge Bar, Eden and Cava, we tried this restaurant. The earlier mentioned restaurants have terrible food. If the taste is important to you, forget the lake view en go eat a pizza here.

Really good food and excelent and fast service. We rarely eat twice in the same restaurants mut this was so good that ee must. Good prices also.

Il ristorante è situato proprio sulla strada principale. Ha qualche posto auto privato nel retro. Il personale è molto accogliente e solare. Abbiamo pranzato nella veranda esterna. Anche a pranzo si può ordinare la pizza. Ho ordinato i riccioli con pesto, rucola, pomodorini e bufala. Gli ingredienti erano tutti freschi e il piatto molto buono. Porzione giusta, non eccessiva ma neanche piccola.

Not a tourist trap like the name suggests lol I got the lasagna, not impressed with that especially for about 20 euro, it was small mushy and I wouldn’t get it again, but the beef appetizer, caprese and seafood pasta were very very good! They have a retractable awning which was covering us on the patio due to rain, which made it loud but still nice. Good quick service and friendly staff, and decently priced for the area. I’d go back!

Locale posto sulla strada a pochi passi dal centro e dalla spiaggia, parcheggio dietro privato del locale. Piatti come porzioni giuste, ma manca quel quid da renderli speciali.a comunque ci tornerò

Servizio veloce e cortese. Ci hanno trovato un posto nonostante il pienone. Sfortunatamente la pizza era passabile. Siamo in Italia si poteva fare di meglio. Nel complesso comunque abbastanza bene.

We picked this restaurant randomly as many of nearby places to have dinner we're booked. We appreciated that we were seated rapidly. The menu is very diverse and based on fish and seafood in addition to pizza and pasta. Unfortunately, we waited extremely long (more than 40 minutes) for the ordered dishes. Besides, no one asked us if we want more to drink or if we enjoy food. Not at least taste was just average, nothing extraordinary.

55 minuti di attesa per un fritto misto e uno spaghetto alle vongole. Fritto discreto e spaghetto nulla di che. In compenso quanto sopra con un acqua e una fanta 47.5 euro

19 giugno 2022. Siamo andati all'interno del locale e la temperatura era molto calda, serviva un climatizzatore e no dei ventilatori che spingevano l'aria calda verso i clienti. Abbiamo aspettato per 6 pizze quasi 1 ora. La pizza al prosciutto crudo che ho preso era molto secca e le fette del prosciutto sembravano costate di carne. Sicuramente non ci ritornerei.

Sono venuto in compagnia di una mia "amica" con pochi spicci, esattamente 4 euro. L'unica cosa che potevo prendere dal menù era una una marinara. Non avevo intenzione di offrire nemmeno un pezzo della mia pizza all'"amica". Però. Purtroppo la cameriera per qualche strana ragione, nonostante avesse avuto l'opportunità di stare zitta e di fare il suo lavoro, cioè prendere la marinara e portarla a chi ha ordinato. Ha chiesto se fossimo d'accordo sul dividerla a metà in due diversi piatti. E non solo. Si è pure fatta vanto di aver tagliato alla mia "amica" il pezzo più grande. Sarei dovuto andarmene via senza pagare.

Pessimo ristorante, tipica trappola per turisti, personale poco scortese, quantità scarse, ed alla richiesta di un tovagliolo e stato sottolineato l'aggiunta del costo di un coperto! Calice di vino servito... corrispondente a un dito.... Il nome si addice all'esperienza vissuta"Trappola"

Sono andata a pranzo, il personale è gentile, ho preso una pizza pugliese, Immangiabile, bruciata sul bordo e durissima al taglio. Si trattava probabilmente di una pizza margherita surgelata cui è stata aggiunta un po' di cipolla. Non mi sentirei di consigliarla a nessuno

Esperienza pessima!! Personalmente mai vissuto una situazione simile, ci fossero zero stelle le metterei. Non sono solita lasciare recensioni tranne quando mi indigno perché condividere mi sembra doveroso nei confronti di chi, invece, cura irreprensibilmente il rapporto con il cliente. Qui ci fermiamo a pranzo e già partiamo male visto che siamo stati subito sgridati dal personale essendo entrati dalla porta sbagliata, del resto il cliente trova una porta aperta che dá al ristorante senza indicazioni specifiche e ci entra, ma va bene. Ordiniamo e ci portano uno dei due primi piatti sbagliato, lo facciamo cortesemente notare e il cameriere, con tono prepotente e stizzito, ci ribatte come noi avessimo ordinato quello senza mettersi minimamente in dubbio di aver capito o scritto male la comanda. Del resto entrambi noi eravamo certi di aver ordinato spaghetti alle vongole anziché le lasagne portate quindi che fa, accusa i clienti di mentire?? Con che finalità poi avremmo dovuto mentire?? Non pago, andandosene, ci rimprovera dicendo che gli ordini devono essere fatti bene! Ovviamente nessun membro dello staff residuo è venuto a scusarsi per l'atteggiamento del cameriere (anzi, non sono neppure stata salutata alla mia uscita), evidentemente tutti allineati su tale inclinazione. Oltretutto, porzioni molto misere in relazione al prezzo. Mai più!!

La trappola, di nome e di fatto. Una trappola per turisti. Il classico locale che, a causa del turismo, gonfia i prezzi. Ho preso due pizze d'asporto per un totale di 29.50€ Una margherita con bufala e salsiccia pagata 16.50€. Ho provato a chiedere al proprietario il perché di questa cifra e si è giustificato arrampicandosi sui muri e dicendo che i prezzi erano quelli e che se non mi fossero andati bene me ne sarei potuta andare. Oltre che un ladro, anche sgarbato.

It was a disastrous service. My lasagna was neither cut nor properly cooked, and the staff was unfriendly. The only pleasant and kind person was the older lady from the kitchen.

This was a terrible experience. It was our second to last night in Italy and we had eaten at several other Italian restaurants in our past 6 days in Italy. We were seated immediately for a group of 7 but once we sat down there was a long wait for bread(which was hard) and then after receiving bread the waitress took our orders. The waitress spoke some English and we did our best to speak Italian and read directly off the menu. The waitress was nice at first and accommodating but once she left she didn’t come back for a half hour. We were not upset yet because it looked like she was working a lot of tables. Our starters came out(salads and a caprese salad) and we had our waters and two people had wine. One of the pizzas ordered came out with the salads despite being ordered as a main dish(this would not have been a problem if it were not for the rest of the experience). My mom had also ordered a salad and asked for it but it never came. There were other large groups that were served and left before us as well as small groups. In the meantime, no one came over and checked to see if we needed more drinks or came over to explain why our food was taking so long. At the 2 hour mark we had only had our initial drinks and salads and one random personal pizza. One person in our party went up to ask them what was taking so long and was told it was the pizza and pasta that were taking a long time. (I remind you that a pizza had already come out). Another table that was near us who sat down after us and were finished with their food also asked for us where our food was without us asking to. Since it had been two hours we decided to pay for our drinks and starters and leave. When we did this we were told “this isn’t McDonalds” and when a person in our group was trying to continue to explain why we were upset, she was sworn at in Italian. She is American Italian and knew the swear words from her grandparents and media. It was also very clear what he was trying to say. We were told that because we are Americans we do not understand Italian restaurants. But we have eaten in Italy for the past week with no issue. We were not checked on, and there were no apologies for the 2 hour wait. We paid $100 for our two glasses of wine, 3 bottles of water, 2 mixed salads, a caprese salad and a pizza. We did not receive any of the other things we ordered. As we were leaving we were laughed at by the staff despite trying our best to be polite. Along with this, we could hear the staff fighting amongst themselves when we went up to check on the food the first time. If you are an American or another foreigner, think twice before you go here.

Worst food experience in Italy. After two hours of waiting for our main coarse, we decided to pay and leave. The staff said that "This is not America" and started to become very rude. I would believe the food would take a long time, but all the other patrons that arrived after us received their meals, paid and left, I found this hard to believe that our party was the only ones that the meal took a long time. When we paid for the appetizers, the staff said that this wasn't McDonald's and started to swear at us in Italian. Fortunately a couple of us in the party new enough Italian to understand what they were saying. In my opinion this establishment is not American friendly and hopefully will lose business until they become friendly to all customers.
