Finally got to try OZ and it was great. The area is clean and lots of parking even mid day. The OZ smash was amazing everything really tasted incredibly fresh. Cold brew coffee was perfect. Liked the idea of the juice bar next door got a green drink to try later. Owners were behind the bar preparing everything lots of respect to them. For sure a welcome addition to the Beaumont family
Today began my road trip to Louisiana for chef John Folse’s annual culinary event in Baton Rouge. As I was nearing Beaumont, I typed in “specialty coffee shops in Beaumont” and was directed to the Oz Café on Calder. And what a stroke of luck. The owners have a love affair with all things, Australian and set out to feature Australian themed beverages foods. I had a Lamington (possibly the best one I have had aside from the ones that I made myself one time). And so, instead of an Americano, I had an Australian style long black that was excellent. Coffee roaster is Austin based and you can see from the popularity of this place that it should be on your list for any trips you’re taking to Beaumont. Eat your heart out Blue Lane. Not even close.
Great place. Took me a while to understand . . . let’s say, I’m feeling my years & this place attracts a much younger, hip crowd. This is a young persons gathering place, run by young people, with a fresh perspective. A husband / wife team who are sharing vacation memories of a trip down under with our community in the form of a coffee shop. Fantastic ! Fresh young minds. Fresh perspective ! Joy !
You have to try this coffee shop if you’re in Beaumont. The vanilla latte is my favorite and their toast is delicious. They put smiley faces on everything you order and the staff is so sweet. Definitely try it out!
I’ve been going to Oz since April 2024 and they never disappoint. I studied abroad in Sydney in 2023 and I can’t stress how great Australia is. I’m glad I can find it here in Beaumont, TX. The coffee is superb but what I find the most comforting is the food. I loved meat pies and sausage rolls while I was in Australia, I’m glad I can find them here. Also, the Anzac biscuits are great and I don’t usually love oatmeal based cookies! Thanks Oz for letting me share Australia with my friends and family here (and for making Bundaberg ginger beer accessible).
I’m a huge coffee lover and really appreciate a good cup of coffee. I recently started working back in the area and had to stop by—and I’m so glad I did! I ordered the honey latte and it was absolutely delicious. I also got the avocado smash (not pictured), and it did not disappoint. Great flavors, great vibe. I’ll definitely be coming back! ☕🥑✨
The blueberry lemon cold brew I was honestly skeptical of but it was one of the best drinks I have had. Perfect mix of flavors, sweetness, and coffee level. The avocado toast was real good. It came out on a thick slice of fresh sour dough and it was delicious. It was a little pricy but it’s worth it.
Best coffee in Beaumont Texas. We come here every time we are in town. Avacado Smash is incredible. Coffee is super smooth and great syrups.
An absolutely out of this country experience. A little taste of down under in old town Beaumont. Highly recommend the avocado sour dough toast. The avocado had a little kick and you could taste the freshness of the toast. My honey latte was the perfect combination of sweet and bitter. The atmosphere was new but still old town comfortable.
Very friendly service, super cute atmosphere, and tasty, feel-good breakfast bites. Several tables and an adjoined juice bar with healthy juices great for an on-the-go grab. We loved our drinks and our breakfasts. Also free bottled waters for the table. Nice single restroom kept very clean behind the counter.
Great little spot in the downtown area of Beaumont. I ordered a Pumpkin Latte with oat milk and cinnamon steamed into the milk. It was perfect! These baristas are on another level.
I got the Avo Smash and sausage roll And black coffee. Avo smash: 10/10 thick layer of avocado Great flavor Sausage roll: also great for what is. Dinning room area: very cozy, but the building is small, so it's understandable Seems very trendy, college kid vibes. However, there was a variety of ages there. Would visit again
Great find in the Beaumont downtown desert! Great coffee and Aussie treats. Made this my breakfast stop when working on a new mural.

Enjoyed a quick pit stop at Oz’s for coffee! A nice specialty coffee shop in Beaumont that I’m sure locals love and appreciate. The story of the couple who started Oz’s is special, and it’s nice to see them bringing a unique spin on a cafe to Beaumont.
I’m so happy Beaumont has a specialty coffee shop now! I visit from Chicago a couple times a year and I used to dread the coffee situation in this town. I go here every day during my trips down here and each time the coffee is on point and the baristas are so knowledgeable and friendly! It’s always full too so that’s a plus. Between this, the smoothie shop, two pilates studios, and the health food grocery story, I would say Beaumont is improving a lot. I do wish this cafe was open on Sundays though. Looking forward to my next visit so i can drink more honey lattes

Oz Cafe is seriously one of the best spots in Beaumont! The atmosphere is cozy, welcoming, and makes for an amazing study spot! I love bringing my laptop here and getting work done with a great cup of coffee by my side. Speaking of coffee… it’s always on point. Smooth, flavorful, and made with so much care! You can tell the baristas know what they’re doing! Their Avo Smash is amazing too, super fresh and packed with flavor (definitely my go-to when I want something delicious to eat). But what really makes Oz stand out are the people. The staff are so kind, friendly, and genuinely awesome, it makes every visit feel special. Between the food, the coffee, the vibe, and the community, I honestly just love everything about this place. If you’re looking for your new favorite coffee shop (or your new favorite study spot), Oz Cafe is 100% it.
I needed some coffee and decided to try Oz Cafe a second time. This time, we got brunch. The food was very good. The only thing was the crust on the bread was very difficult to cut with a butter knife. I really needed a knife with better teeth. The bread didn't taste fresh and was a bit chewey. Even though I felt this way about the bread, it was still delicious. The prices aren't cheap. So I did eat every bit. And so did my son. (Pictured with an empty plate) Just he and I it cost $34. The service was excellent! The young lady realized she didn't give me what I requested with my latte and offered to make a new one. I passed. Later, they added some oat milk for me to make it not so sweet.
I've been wanting to check this place out, so I met a friend for coffee and lunch. It is a really small place. There were 4 tables and a bar. It was packed and we had to wait for a table. Lots of customers were getting to go orders and told us it would be worth the wait. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive. They didn't have any sugar-free drink options, so I got a no flavor latte and added stevia. We both ordered the Avo Smash, and it was really delicious! A large slice of french bread with a generous portion of avocado, sprinkled with tomatoes, drizzled with olive oil and some red pepper flakes. I only remembered to snap a pic when I was half done eating. I would have given Oz 5 stars if they had a sugar-free flavor or two. The coffee was smooth and not bitter with good flavor.
Finally had some time in the morning to stop here for breakfast and coffee. The pumpkin latte was really good, flavorful and had an artistic design. My husband had the cinnamon roll, he said it was ok, it is on the smaller side, especially for the price. I had the Strawberry Nutella on sourdough, while it tasted good, I will say dinning in the bread would be much easier to slice and eat if it was served on a plate verse the to-go container. It tasted good, but I was getting frustrated and stopped eating the bread part, I don't think it was worth the price. Overall I will say it was worth the stop for the coffee, not the food. Parking is located in the back, between their blue building and a pink house.

I definitely love the uniqueness that the coffee shop has. Coffee so far is awesome. I have tried the strawberry matcha that is sooo delicious(too bad it is just seasonal). Also, I recommend their honey latte. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 star review; it is because prices are bit on the high end, and they don't have a rewards program that could at least compensate the price for their drinks.

The atmosphere was fabulous! the people were fabulous! The coffee was fabulous! The food - meh. I thought the food was prepared here on sight, it's not - I got the meat pie and a sausage roll, both were not all that great. The meat pies were super runny and the sausage roll was very overcooked. They buy them frozen from an out of state place - not Aussie enough for me! My guest had the Nutella dish and said it was really good though. I would go back for coffee though - the prices are ridiculously high for the quality of food.
I wanted to like this place but we did not. It’s cute but that’s it. I love supporting local businesses but we will not be back. The black coffee was overpriced. The staff wasn’t welcoming or friendly, they were polite just enough. The food was okay, nothing serious about it. We asked to be topped off on the black coffee and was told it was for dining in only after we were inside having sausage roll and latte and a black coffee. We won’t be back!
Handed exact case and change for 2 coffees 14.18, and was told the price went up because I was paying with cash. What happen to companies accepting a cash payment? Do disappointed i went out of my way to support a locally owned company.
