Today, I visited this wonderful place for the first time and was absolutely enchanted. From the moment you step inside, you feel as if you’ve been transported to a charming European restaurant, perhaps somewhere in France, with its elegant interior, warm ambiance, and impeccable attention to detail. This restaurant is not just about aesthetics—though it is undeniably beautiful, with its sophisticated decor and stunning location by a serene lake. Here, you can truly immerse yourself in an atmosphere of beauty, tranquility, and refinement. I had the pleasure of trying the carrot cake, and it was simply perfect. Not only was it beautifully presented, but its taste was absolutely delightful—moist, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. A true treat for the senses! And the service—so warm, welcoming, and attentive—made the experience even more special. This is a place filled with soul, passion, and a deep love for hospitality. If you appreciate elegance, a charming atmosphere, and a place that leaves a lasting impression, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit!

Website says opens at 4. They are actually opening for lunch now. Ambiance. Friendly competent staff. Beautiful. Great food. Great music. A chef's table. A bakery attached with fabulous baked goods. The waitress was fantastic. Night brings even more ambiance white table cloths - fireplaces -makes this a great date night place. Full bar. Next to best buy. Outdoor eating. Wheel chair accessible.

My family blessed me with a visit to delightful place for my 59th birthday! I must say upon entering the building you see this beautiful scenery before you walk into the door. When you walk in, OMG, it’s absolutely gorgeous. You are greeted with a beautiful chandelier and smiles from the hostess Desk. You look to your left and you see this wonderful confection area! If you want delicious baked goods, this is your place! However, when you walk forward upon entering, you see this gorgeous bar and beautiful dining areas! We had the opportunity to get a seat by the window, which was a tremendous plus because of the ambience. As far as the food, if you want that pork chop meal, you better get there early or you may not get it, they will run out! We had the beef rib with wine sauce, mashed potatoes, and delicious vegetables. We also tried the halibut bites and the sweet and sour shrimp, Delicious! We also enjoyed the shrimp scampi. It’s really a must visit place if you’re in the Austin area or planning to visit the hill country.

What a hidden gem. I have the scallops with risotto and every bite was amazing. The interior is beautiful and so comfortable. The chef is very talented and offers great variety menu options. Perfect to celebrate a special occasion. The bar looked really lively too.

Went there for lunch. The place is really beautiful and their patio is very nice. Our waiter had the biggest and most contagious smile and our food was very delicious.

Plate was a true food experience. The menu is varied but you can't go wrong any direction you go. I have been told the hamburgers are great, the halibut was delicious for sure, and the risotto and scallops was fantastic! Along with great food the restaurant was intimate and the staff was very friendly. Plate is a great spot to sit at the bar and enjoy appetizers and a drink after work or go out for a full dinner.

Six ladies had lunch and a planning meeting at Plate today and the food and service provided by Marco & Ryan were both wonderful! We were seated at a nice round table so that we could talk and it was perfect for our group. Plate is always a great place for lunch or dinner and now they’re serving brunch on the weekend!

We wanted to be sure it was family-friendly and not just a date-night spot, and she said it was both and encouraged us to come in. From the moment we walked into Plate, we were welcomed and seated right away. The atmosphere is well done. Clean, warm, and thoughtfully lit. It honestly feels like a higher-end restaurant, on the same level as places like Perry’s or Bartlett’s. The food and drinks were excellent. There were great food options for our daughter, which we really appreciated. Cocktails for my wife and me were fantastic. Appetizers were delicious, and our main dishes were very solid. Our server gave great recommendations, was attentive, and genuinely kind. There was also a live guitarist playing, who was talented and fit the vibe perfectly without being distracting. What’s funny is that it’s located next to a Best Buy, because nothing about the experience feels casual or out of place. Everything about it feels elevated and intentional. I honestly don’t understand why they don’t already have five stars. Is it cheap? No. But good food, a great environment, and strong service cost money. The pricing felt fair and completely in line with other mid-to-high-end restaurants. The value matched the experience. We’ll absolutely be back.

I hosted a Birthday party for 11 people and it was perfection. Rosie one of the managers took care of every detail. Colton the bartender made sure everyone had beverages. Our server never left us. The Birthday cake was delicious and moist. I can’t thank them enough. The food was delicious and hot! Thank you for an unforgettable memory.❤️❤️

The private room was beautifully decorated with crystal stars hanging from the ceiling, paired with exquisite table settings that created a truly magical atmosphere. The staff was courteous, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout the event. The appetizers were delicious and lived up to the restaurant’s stellar reputation for scratch-made, high-quality food. Special thanks go to Rosi, the events manager, who collaborated closely with me on the menu, room decor, and arrangements. Her exceptional attention to detail and clear, professional communication helped everything run smoothly and made the day even more successful. I also had the pleasure of meeting Allen, the owner, who was warm and engaging—he even gave me a tour of the new breakfast bar. As an extra treat, I met the incredible talent behind the scenes: Dzintra, the Cordon Bleu–trained French chef whose passion shines through in every dish. Overall, the experience was flawless—a perfect celebratory occasion filled with excellent service and enjoyed by both guests and hosts alike. Plate offers delicious food, though prices are slightly elevated. Unfortunately, my wife's chicken alfredo needed to be sent back. However, the service was exceptional, and the atmosphere, though uptown, was pleasant. Despite minor setbacks, the overall experience warrants a return visit.

This place has some nice food. Love the Ahi poke bawl, it’s my favorite. However the service is little slow like there are bit behind, or not all together… for the price I would imagine to have a better service that is prompt and fast. Instead I feel like I am in France 🇫🇷 if you know what I mean. However the food makes it up for it as it is delicious and the atmosphere is nice and relaxing with live music. Overall I would recommend this place.

Had a lovely lunch here. The staff was very friendly, and we enjoyed our meal. I recommend stopping by the bakery area in the front before you leave.

We have went here a few times and it’s just “ok” for the price you spend. Recently, I took my wife and some friends there for her birthday and this photo sums up the whole night. “Happy Anniversary” (20 mins to get a drink, food undercook, and lastly they misspelled “birthday”. For $650 bill, it wasn’t really worth it.

So this place is just OKAY despite their attempts at being more than just OKAY. They charged me $3 for blue cheese olives OUT OF A JAR (not real cheese and not hand stuffed) which put the price of a martini at $19! I’ve had better at an airport 😥. The ‘famous’ risotto and scallops were not FAMOUS but mediocre at best. For what you get, WAY OVER PRICED! The staff is kind but lacking in responsiveness … including an overcooked steak and $3 for olives. This was second visit and last. Austin is full of great restaurants … find one of those. This isn’t it !

Decent for Bee Cave standards, I guess? Doesn't even come close to the bar for Austin cuisine though, and at $120+ per person it had better. Bland entrees looked like the most expense Luby's meal we ever had. Small plates (as apps) were okay. Service was nice but we had several forced up-sells since most of the cost-effective/popular menu items were out of stock. The hanging Christmas ornaments (in August) were an interesting accent to an already mixed-signal ambience. Definitely won't be back, just way too expensive for what it is.

I had lunch with two friends yesterday and we were very disappointed with our experience. They each ordered the Salad Sampler and the servings were so skimpy they thought it was more of a “tasting”. Our server was absent when we needed something so we spent a lot of time looking around hoping she would appear. I ordered 2 pieces of Coconut Cream Cake to go and my check was $32!!! $16 for a smallish piece of cake! Unfortunately it wasn’t even very good. We will think twice before going back.
