Legend Hot Chicken

I ordered the #3 medium spicy. I have to say that it was so spicy that my tongue went numb. From what I tasted, the chicken is delicious. The chicken is juicy, crispy. You're going to pay around 20$ for a meal but it's worth it. The portions are ridiculous big. The staff is friendly and the food is quality and quantity. I will be back for sure and get the food not spicy. I enjoy spicy food but this one knocked my taste buds off. One meal can be shared by two people because the portions are that big. I can't wait to go back.

Absolutely delicious food. Absolutely delicious. Their chicken sandos are better than the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwiches from Lucille's. Their fried chicken is so huge and crispy and fresh 😍 😋🤤 WARNING: their medium sauce is spicy as hell. I was tearing but it was a happy tear lol. Anthony, the young man working the register and phones is so incredibly nice and helpful. A+ customer service. My brother loved the drumsticks in fire soy sauce. We will definitely be going back!

Finally they opened! Today we had it for dinner and it was delicious. I had the medium hot chicken sandwich and I cried a little lol. But it was good. Tender, juicy, chicken with a great spice! Can't wait to try their other goodies.

This place is dank. I got the number one combo sandwich and I was not expecting what I got. I got a sandwich FILLED with delicious crunchy HOT spicy chicken. The fries were good too everything for the price seems reasonable. Place looks a little Danky. People judge a lot but Don’t judge a book by its cover. Go in.

The fries were the crispiest, even with sauce on them. They are the fries that have potato starch on them so they are super crispy and fresh. You gotta give them a shot. Best $20 I spent in a while. Don’t come on here talking about the paint being chipped on the floor. Some of your comments scared off customers so they can’t afford it. I bet you didn’t talk bad about the food. I bet you still come in to eat too. I already ate half my food cause it smelled too good. Great job Legends.

Solid place recommend the food. If you’re use to eating spicy food get “Hot”. Tenders were amazing with the fries the toast needs an upgrade. Overall, they have great food many of these people are too picky. It’s a great local business.

The chicken sandwich with cole slaw and pickles gives it a good flavor. It's pricy but the big portions and taste are worth it. I tried the extra spicy and it was hot. Next time I will try the reaper flavor. Also order ahead of time to avoid the wait time...

Today, me and my girlfriend ordered a Sando Sandwich, that comes with Mac and Cheese. Overall the chicken was deliciously juicy and soft, seasoned fries are very good, but will definitely say the only thing that needs a big improvement to my taste budz is .. They're "Mac N Cheese". Besides that, I would've given 5 stars.

The nashville sando was very very good. Chicken was very well cooked and flavorful. Staff was friendly, but there was an odd smell in the air and the inside could use some work cosmetically. Food alone would be 5 stars, but overall experience needs work

Got to try the Mac n cheese pretty tasty , fries were okay lol would give it another chance but hopefully I get to try with sauces 😂 also I guess depending of the time they’re short staffed, we ordered maybe around 5:30pm and only one person was inside working but overall wait wasn’t too bad , and I’d recommend calling ahead to make sure they have boba, I got a taro milk tea with extra boba but when we picked up they said they didn’t have any boba soooooo I paid extra for nothing . Music inside was bumpn though , overall for the price it was very good portions can’t wait to try again and give it another shot !

I always start my review with the Positive part of my Experience. Customer service was Good, alot of parking, and alot of seating, place looked clean. Now for the negative part of Experience. I have been here several times and have always been Satisfied!!! However Today was Disappointing. The Sandal sandwitch today was not the level of Spice it used to be,also the Size of the sandwich now is smaller, it had too much sauce coleslaw was runny . It did Not have EXTRA Pickles like I ordered.Before the order would come with small container of honey for Dipping.The price Went UP. If the FOOD is GREAT I will PAY for it..Bottom line yall I will NOT return for awhile!!! I'm taking my money to Grimson Coward resteraunt.Have a good day yall.

I tried to support this business the chicken is not that bad. The service is horrible, they have an attitude. The lady with the short black hair gets upset if you ask for an extra sauce. Always with her attitude I ordered an 8 pcs for my family and she gives me only one dipping sauce. I don't mind paying for the sauce but at least be professional. The Mac and cheese is disgusting pasta with canned nacho cheese is not the way to go.

Food: The meal didn't stand out, I went basic because I figured you couldn't do chicken tenders wrong. The most overpriced hot chicken place in the southeast LA region. The food was mediocre at best not to mention the employees were rude and gave you attitude for asking for extra sauce (I made it clear I understood it was extra and was willing to pay for them). You’re better off going a few blocks west on Florence to the Popeyes and get a better tasting chicken sandwich for cheaper and believe it or not better customer service. This place is the result of poor management and the name “HOT CHICKEN” being used as an excuse to charge over double as any fast food restaurant. Save your time and money and just go to Dave’s hot Chicken or even jack in the box at this point.

This place isn't all that good. My kids, for whatever reason like it. It's overpriced, that's for sure. Because of this, we don't order often. Tonight, Sep 15th, I decided to order online for pickup. I waited close to 30 min at home before heading to pick up my order. I get here 5 min passed the time my order was supposed to be ready, and I'm told that I was to wait an additional 20 min because the oil needs to be changed out. Imagine, waiting for an HOUR for mediocre chicken...

Worst of the worst. These guys had MY PREGNANT Wife wait over an hour for 2 chicken tenders. Worst service ever!!! Oh and then my little sister had let the staff know that there was no toilet paper in the restroom and what she does, instead of going to the restrooms to change the roll of paper is she hands over (get this) a roll of toilet paper to my sister over the counter 🤔 🤢. This place is disgusting and rude. Don't waste your time here. This place is horrible and shouldn't even be open. They need negative stars.

Wow. That was bad. I'm spoiled by Howling Ray's though. The Legend in Montebello was way better than this one. First off, the room was smokey as hell. Then a sando combo with Mac and cheese over $27. The slaw ran into the sauce and was a mess. The dill pickles were like the pickles you use for a BBQ. The Hot was not hot. No real flavor and the chicken was like the kind you make in a bag. I think they left the skin on. I tried just eating the chicken alone but stopped. All I ate was the Cajun fries which were the highlight but just like Popeyes.

Had Legend for the first time in Lakewood and was hooked. I had ordered extra hot savo and Cajun fries and ended needing three glasses of milk to keep my tongue from bursting in flames. So I expected the same quality at Bell Gardens. But it was complete 180 degrees. Cajun fries were old and not tasty at all nor was the “hot spicy” sandwich. It was really poor quality. I guess going back to Lakewood for my next one.

This place is over rated prices are to high for the quantity and quality of the food. If your looking for a good chicken place try Dave's Hot chicken they are inexpensive, customer service is on point and the quality and quantity of food is amazing. Im just being honest

This all spoiled our experience and we left and will probably never return. How are you not going to have chicken at a chicken place.
