I've had a really good time at this coffee bean. I used to work as a barista and I miss making my own drinks. They've always been very patient with me and my sometimes silly requests. Most of the time Katie was there to take my order and she's helped me figure out what I want to get several times. This is a great coffee shop. I'm able to come in sit down and get loads of work done.

Great as always! I missed having their white chocolate mochas being from California, they had coffee beans everywhere, I live in Flagstaff, they don't have one here but when I'm in town, I make sure to visit. Do not buy their K cups French dark roast, they were disappointing.

Omg! This is now my absolute favorite coffee shop! I had the cookie butter latte and it was amazing! I am normally a Starbucks girl but the taste has just gone down and I found this gem! The coffee is really good I normally am a dark coffee person I don’t enjoy sweet drinks. The cookie butter was perfectly sweetened for a nice mid day pick me up. The horchata coffee was more of a dessert coffee it’s sweet. My 9 year old loved the cookie shake they have. Overall I’d give this 10/10! I’m going back!

Had a subscription for dark roasted whole beans shipped to me for a few years. Was receiving 5 lbs every 8 weeks. I’ve discontinued my subscription because I now roast my own beans.

I usually go to the drive up. The coffee is far better than any I've ever had. It's not bitter very smooth, and they use powder for flavor, NOT syrups. So it makes the flavors taste real, not an after taste like syrups do. I go almost every day. Just wish there was one closer

The employees were friendly and helpful, I wasn't sure what to order and they were able to suggest something for me, and it was delicious. The shop was super clean. The patio was open for seating (indoor seating is not available right now) but you can order inside and take drinks to go. ALSO. THEY HAVE THE BEST ICE EVER.

I’ve been wanting to try a new place for matcha …. Other than THE OTHER BIG NAME PLACE ( we won’t name any names) but ordered an iced matcha horchata because I looove horchata as well and just why not 😁 …. Received this tasty drink and was so amazed by the size and they followed the drink instructions ♥️ and the taste was sooooo delishhh!!! Def way better than others and my new fave!!! Keep up the great work!!

Good coffee. They have a drive thru at this location. I got the vanilla iced coffee. My brother got the blended caramel and my sister the Oreo cookie blended drink. The vanilla iced tasted different but definitely good. Like almost a mocha. I got a coupon for 10% off when you sign up but that’s for retail. Apparently retail is for the coffee or tea that you can make home in a box or bag. Download the app to start getting points. Also when you sign you through email after your first purchase you get a free drink.

I love the iced hazelnut latte! It has a smooth and creamy taste. I wish there were more locations across the valley, but thankfully I have one close by. Their coffee powders are delicious and versatile, easy to incorporate if you're making coffee at home, and don't taste artificial like some of the coffee syrups other businesses use.

I have been under the weather for a few days now and came by for a tea. Sierra made a normal daily transaction personal. She went out of her way to make me a delicious hot tea, I said just make something! (she said I don’t know if you’re even gonna like it…I DID ❤️) she just brightened my day and wanted to drop a note to say thanks and please give her that time off or that desired shift she wants. My daughter and I tried the cookies and cream blend and a midnight mocha cold brew. Saw their pastry display case and had to try their dark chocolate croissant and their buttery croissant. Definitely will be coming back again to try their other menu items!

Love this place my family have been going here for years. Today we stopped by and this sweet Barista was super nice. My friend ask me to ask for 1 billion dollars so I was trying to ask the Barista but my husband who was driving said no he wouldn't ask that so I kept trying to ask she must of heard me because she still attempted to give outstanding customer service. She wrote a sticky note of 1 million dollars. Yes it was not the billion but it made our day, we laugh and told our friend and showed the picture.

Coffee bean makes THE BEST ice blended coffee and non coffee drinks! WAY better than Starbucks and Dutch Bros. We can't believe there aren't more locations and they aren't more well known. Also, their app has some great discounts and coupons. (07/25 - 50% off your first order/drink) Other offers and specials seem to be more frequent than other places as well.

Drink not Food, some of the strongest coffee I've had yet extra shot with powdered vanilla, no sugar flavor and half and half excellent blend. Came here to do some work and have breakfast and coffee. I ordered a caramel latte and a ham and Swiss croissant. They did not have the ham and Swiss croissant so I ended up getting a breakfast burrito instead. They don't have a kitchen so it's a package burrito reheated. It wasn't bad but it was not great. The latte was good. The staff was friendly and service was quick. It was a relatively quiet shop so I was able to sit in a couple meetings and work uninterrupted.

Overall we enjoyed the drinks we had and the service was good too.

Had Carmel Frappuccino it is very good, I would put it above Starbucks everyday and at a fraction of the price. I didn't go inside, used the drive through so I can't really comment on the atmosphere but the lady in the drive through was very nice and cheerful.

Coffee is great! Cookie butter is the best! Staff is hit or miss the weekend kids don't do so great on orders.

Tried this for the first time yesterday and for my first drink I decided to get a matcha. As it was the first thing I saw on the drive-through drink, it was pretty good. It was a tadbit on the sweet beside, but I don't know if it was just because I had just brushed my teeth. But I will be going there again to taste it again.

This is my go-to spot for a matcha, but recently with the new baristas my matcha looks and tastes like milk. It doesn’t have enough matcha powder by any means. Very disappointing and it is not worth the purchase anymore.

They never put whip cream on their fraps. I've even asked them to and they still forget. Last time I was there I waited 15 minutes for a mobile pick up. They were very friendly though.

It wasn't that great...but I'm judging it based off of hot chocolate and the plant based breakfast sandwich. Both were just not good. The hot chocolate was like water chocolate. And the sandwich- the egg was fine, but the rest, um...not great, I'll just leave it at that. Maybe other items are much better. If I re-try other items and they are better than today's experience, I'll update my review. Staff were friendly, helpful and fast.

As a barista who takes pride in her craft and her customer service, I have something to say. The workers here are great (shoutout Jazzy for taking our order) and the food and drinks are off the charts but the MANAGER (or what I assume is the manager) is one of the worst I have seen. Taller man with glasses and a terrible attitude, condescending towards workers and yelling at them and creating a tense hostile environment in the cafe making me and other guests uncomfortable. That is not how you manage a team. Get better. Your team is not the problem, you are, and don't think your awful management skills (AND people skills. He was rude to other customers as well) go unnoticed.

This coffee bean is pretty decent with their drinks but the random closing of their lobby is a little frustrating. I just ordered a drink today, they forgot to add my cream cap, but because the lobby was closed, the line was insanely long and to get my drink fixed, I would have had to wait a long time. It’s just a little annoying to pay extra for a modification and then have to wait in a super long line to get it fixed instead of being able to go inside real quick. I decided to just leave instead, but still paid extra for something I didn’t get ;(

I got the cookie butter late with almond milk. The coffee was good but there was so much ice in it that I literally only got a few good drinks. Paid $7+ for a few drinks and some nugget ice

Service was great in the drive-through. Got coffee and a breakfast burrito. Seems like they just threw it together and punched it before heating it, lol. In all, just do better!

I just drove through and asked for a vanilla cappuccino. She did not ask me what size and charged me 7.15, ok whatever maybe I got a large. I pay and then she hands me the smallest cup and then closes the window immediately, no receipt. How did a $5 coffee order end up being $7.15?? Did she tip herself? Seriously confused on how my total was 7.15. just got home and ordered one online, it's only 5.55

The bad: Kayla’s customer service could use some work. She didn’t greet us coming in, we waited at the counter for about 5+ minutes (she looked at us multiple times),and she was rude when we asked a question. They weren’t even busy. 2 other people were behind the counter. July 28 2025 at 530pm The meh: only offer non-fat or whole milk. Tried the ube coconut latte- I’ve had way better and had a bit worse. So it’s okay enough. The good: a variety of drink options. The place was clean. Drink came out quick

2 weekends in a row lobby closed, they have a buy one get one free coupon and no staff to handle it. Where’s the manager? Not there!!! Left the baristas who were there so understaffed. No fault to them they were making drinks as fast as possible. Then this weekend the same situation. Where’s the long time barista’s that worked there for years?? The baristas that worked deserve a 5 mgmt and upper mgmt zero

Service was really off-putting… very condescending and rude when I mentioned my 50% mobile app reward. A friend of mine also mentioned how they didn’t give them their birthday reward and was rude, despite my friend telling them about it.

I went there with my teenage daughters to try it out since we had not been to The Coffee Bean before. Sad to report that we will not be going back. 😕 It was very disappointing. Not many options. Very basic drinks. My drink tasted like a cup of warm milk with a cookie sitting in the bottom of it. Their breakfast burrito was inedible. Not sure if they are microwaved but it was hard on the ends and the wrapper was stuck on the tortilla. We were trying to peel the paper of of the burrito. Decided not to eat it. We also had a chicken salad sandwich which was mediocre at best. Very bland in taste, dry bread, and limp lettuce. Overall I do not recommend this place.

I was disappointed that they only had one sugar-free flavor (sugar free vanilla) and were out of cold brew when I arrived. I had to order a regular iced coffee instead; but they mix the espresso with water, not milk (you have to request the milk, which was fine since there was no up charge). My drink came out tasting good enough, but certainly not worth the $6 I paid for it. It would be nice if there were more sugar free flavors instead of watered down vanilla coffee.

It's been 5 years since I last visited this location. I was hoping for improvement. Unfortunately, it's worse. The coffee was so weak, it tasted as if the grounds had been reused. Terrible. Cashier asked if I'd like to add cream, and didn't warn me it's nearly $1 to do so. Paid $4.75 for a watery cup of coffee with maybe a tablespoon of cream. Neither of the (two) visible employees seemed happy, no greeting, no smiles, nothing as anyone left. Heavy coating of dust on most of the shelves and displayed products. Filthy windows inside and out. I don't need to try again if they're still here 5 years from now.

First time at this particular location. Ordered an iced latte with three shots (normally two), Got the drink and it looked like almost no espresso in it. Questioned the barista. For some unknown reason they made it with half and half vs. milk. They remade it with whole milk but still weak. Also ordered the maple donut that tasted as if it were made back in the Stone Age. Stale. Come on Coffee Bean. Do a better job.

comfty environment, people were doing their work. i’ve been waiting to try coffee beans coffee for sooo long and finally did but was disappointed with my drink :/ there was no flavor, my friend and i used the syrup sugar in the back and vanilla powder and it kinda helped but then i ordered expresso shots to add to give it flavor which didn’t really help. next time i go i will try a different drink. i got an ice blended half vanilla, half white chocolate large

It’s been 2x I have gone to location (drive thru) and have gotten a seasonal and always tastes off. I did return and asked if it was correct and they just said “yes” I felt bad asking them to remake. The times I have visited shop inside, it has taken baristas several minutes to even greet me. The last time I went I ordered a pumpkin cold brew, I legit received a regular cold brew. They’re just so inconsistent. So I just decided to stop visiting this location( it’s the closest one to me)

I drove 25 minutes to get a tea and hang out. When I arrived Tyler had closed the lobby and the sign said it was for maintenance. The drive thru lane was about 7 cars deep. The service by the barista was excellent and my tea was great. I was very disappointed I could not go inside.

Coffee Bean and tea leaf is not the great coffee shop. It once was 5, 10, 15 years ago. It used to be a really awesome comfortable atmosphere with fantastic coffee and I would go multiple times per week. Now I almost never go because it lost that charm and the friendly knowledgeable staff and they are stuck in the pandemic as if it was still 2021. It's very much a California company.

“Drive through only” on a Saturday?! Come on, get your head out of your booty. It’s bad enough that it took forever to get here with Spring Training traffic, but now you want me to set in a drive through line for 20 minutes?!

Stopped in on a whim after shopping at Barnes & Noble and grabbed a nice coffee. This is the first time I've been here and I'm not real familiar with their coffee but the one I had tasted gritty. I've been to other coffee places and haven't had any of my coffees taste that way. The person with me also ordered an iced coffee that they didn't finish either because it didn't taste great.

FALSE ADVERTISING! This used to be my favorite spot for coffee until I found out what you are ordering is not what you are getting. I am on a strict diet and do not eat sugar. Their only option for sugarfree is vanilla, which is fine. Recently I found out that their SUGARFREE coffee actually has high fructose corn syrup in it. This is a total disappointment. I feel betrayed.

This place has gone downhill from what it used to be. That last 4 or so times I have come here it has taken a full 30 to 40 minutes to get my drink in the drive-thru. This last time it was 10 minutes before they took my order when I was at the speaker. I waited another 10 minutes before the people in front of me got their order. Then another 15 minutes before I got my drink….1 drink….. a cream cold brew. It wasn’t even the right flavor, but I couldn’t wait any longer.

I just don’t get it why tehre is such stress in this building, is like every worker hates beeing there, probably that’s why we had to wait 17 min+, they made like 7 drinks for peope that came after us, this is just lack of respect for customers!

Went in to get the buy one share one, the girl said she couldn’t scan the code because their “app” was down. It was the only reason I bothered driving out of my way to go there. They should of figured out a way to accommodate instead she was rude and said she couldn’t do it.

I used to be a regular all the time at this location. This location has gone so downhill in the last year. Today we came in for 1 drink and waited over 30 minutes. Were they busy, yes. But not overly busy. Orders were coming out for people who ordered 15 minutes later. There were people who order before us who still were waiting. Orders weren't being called out, they were unsure what the drinks were by that point. Absolutely ridiculous. The customer service was non existent. The kid making the drinks was spilling everything, complaining about everything and moving slower. 1 person making drinks. Get it together. Getting charged an arm and a leg for coffee and 0 customer service and ridiculous waits. I'm offically done with coffee bean. Bring back the old GM, at least the location ran with him.

This used to be a great spot to grab coffee. Let’s put aside that the chain lost me when they got rid of the ultimate vanilla (remember those chocolate covered coffee beans? 😋) but the girls who work here are rude and will treat you like they have a huge line (they don’t)and YOU are inconveniencing them. The coffee drinks I ordered were ok at best and I wouldn’t recommend buying any “food”. I’ll post a pic of the “grilled cheese” I ordered. Someone slapped some cheap bread together with some sprinkles of cheese and threw it in the microwave. 🥴

Don’t get me wrong, the coffee is great here. I just don’t understand why it took them 9 minutes in the drive thru to make a small coffee. Didn’t see any other customers there either. Would’ve left if it wasn’t a mobile order or if I knew how to cancel. Really have to plan ahead to get a coffee here and not be late to work.

Waited 20 minutes for my drink. The issue didn't seem to be the lack of workers, there were several baristas who were yapping with friends who came in. Not only did they present with poor professional attitudes but proved themselves to be rude talking about peoples drink orders loudly and laughing. Overheard them making comments about someones "tiktok drink" and how its "so basic & annoying to make". The coffees great when it's given in a timely manner with employees who value customer service. The employees seem to be lacking in common courtesy at this location. Please get rid of the awful workers and bring in people who will be inviting to the public.

Need to update their business hours. Placed a mobile order for 30 minutes after they opened (at 6:30, supposedly) and waited in parking lot for OVER AN HOUR being told that they would be opening in 5-10 minutes. Was late to work. At the window I asked what was going on and was told they had to stay closed for "policy reasons". No offer to make it right, just a quick sorry for the wait. An hour wait past pickup time is ridiculous. Am being told that this is not at all uncommon and that many people have arrived when they were supposed to be open and they hadn't yet. I understand a one off thing, but for this to be a regular occurance is poor management and employee professionalism. Service was very unfriendly I don't rec. coming here.

This used to be a great place to grab coffee over the last 20 years. The girls that work here now are rude, will scoff at you if you leave a nominal tip or refuse to use their stupid card machine that they throw in your face. We've witnessed them close early without warning and then be rude to guests of color and attempt to kick them out before white folks and have seen them lock doors in customer's faces 10 minutes or more before the posted close time. Management here is to blame, the quality of the coffee has changed too. No need to blame screwing up orders and bad attitudes on the noise from your machines or the fact that you can't clean spilled coffee from an expensive cup of joe before handing it to a customer. Shame on this location!

2 days in a row our drink order was incorrect. One day thru the drive thru, next day thru the app for pick up. Wanted hot tea latte, both times got iced tea drinks. Drinks were good, but not what we ordered. Time to find a new spot.

That’s my last time buying coffee from this store, I wait in the line almost half hour which is fine,cause I really want to get my coffee in the morning. I already tell the staff I just want ice latte with oat milk no sugar , after I got my coffee still have bunch sugar in my coffee,what a dumb joke,That’s not first time happened this thing but I keep giving them chances,no more! You guys not even pay attention on the order,I throw away my coffee not even want to drink,so stupid !

This is the third time that we come and they are closed before 8:30 pm the previous time we came at 8:00 pm and they were closing because their” system “ was down the second time they just turned off all the lights and never answered at 7:45 pm

Ok this is the 3rd time this has happened so I am leaving this review. I used to always come here for the rich bold black iced tea. The last few times I've tried, this is what I get. As you can see, the color isnt the light burgandy of a black iced tea. It looks more like water with a little tea added, and unfortunately that's what it tastes like. Tea is easy to make perfect everytime if someone knows the water to tea ratio when brewing and times the brew to get the right strength. This will get dumped out, yet again because it tastes like water and I wanted and paid for tea. Management please figure this out.

Definitely not worth $5 for a cold brew latte. Yet another proof of the benefit of brewing @ home. Maybe I made a mistake when I was ordering. Maybe I actually asked for a cup full of ice with a miniscule amount of coffee added. Or maybe this place is just highway robbery. By the way that comes out to a gallon of 20 hour cold brew pitcher being worth like $75 Asked how much for refill, since the cup was 90% ice, was told it'll be another $5. No thanks.

Unfortunately, when I express not being happy about the long wait in line only to be told they were out of my favorite holiday drink the employee felt it was ok to get snippy back. Showing no understanding why I would be frustrated. I asked to speak with a manager and at first he did not seem any nicer. Toward the end of our conversation he seemed a bit nicer. I order a back up drink since my favorite wasn't available. When I went to pay the manager said he would cover it. I proceeded to hand him my card as I really didn't need it free. He insisted and having spend many years on management I thanked him because I felt he was at least trying for good service. Well not the case I left and took a drink.....horrible. Not at all what I asked for. I guess shame on me for trusting the store and not having a drink while there Needless to say......after many years going to this store I will never go back nor will I recommend them to anyone We all work hard for what we have and there is no reason to be rude to customers when you are the one who ran out of product and can't even put up signs reflecting that

This place used to be good before they changed ownership and staff. Now the staff ignore your presence while they argument over who is going to take your order (i was the only one in store and thier drive through was empty when I Walker in). It took 5 minutes to take my order and 10 minutes to prepare my drink. I sat and whatched my espresso just sit the whole time. Eventually some people come throught the drive through and they prioritize their incoming drive through. I really liked this shop before, wish they kept the same atmosphere and attitude they had before.

My online order was supposed to be ready at 2:37. I arrived at 2:35. It is now 3:16 and I just got my iced coffee which is now warm. People came into the coffee shop and ordered and got their coffee before mine. I get that it’s a promotion but the drive thru seemed to be moving just fine. As did coming in and ordering. It was like they didn’t care for the online pick up orders. It shouldn’t take 45 minutes to get my drinks. Service was horrible. No apologies or explanations were given as to why I had to wait that long.

Just ordered maybe 10mins ago and was enjoying it until I found mold in my fruit cup. This was mine and my husband’s first time trying here.

I love Coffee and Bean location in Scottsdale - thought I would have the same experience here at this location but the staff were not friendly nor attentive. The coffee was bitter and creamer tasted expired. Super disappointed this location is not well kept . Would not recommend coming to this location at all.

The Lobby closes at 6p The only thing that indicates that, is by showing up in person to see the sign on the door. Very disappointing. I hate to go drink crap drinks at Starbucks just so studying doesn't have to end short. The drinks aren't very strong.

I hate to leave this bad review because on most days this place is awesome and the coffee and staff are exceptional! Today that was not the case around 7pm fought thru traffic to get a couple coffees for me and my husband, we ordered them blended as always! Mine white chocolate his caramel , the gal working the window handed us two runny and beyond yucky coffees ! Right away as she handed them to my guy , he said we ordered blended not iced, she looked at him as snottty as possible and rudely stated “ THEY ARE BLENDED!!! “ before we could speak another word she shut the window in his face and never even came back with our change! On most days the change would have been her tip anyway but still she should’ve asked! I am thrown by how she made these coffees! I am not one to leave a bad review but I have experienced nothing but great service and coffee in the past . I tried to call and talk to a manager but no answer and voice mail is full! I really hope this review makes it to the owner so that she can tune up this rude lady who has no clue how to make a blended coffee l, or how to be polite to her customers! 10 bucks a piece and we are throwing them down the drain! :( not cool !

I have now learned to never leave a tip before you are served! Nice person waited on us, then things went downhill. We waited forever for our coffee drinks, then she forgot to give us our food. When I reminded her about that, she went to the drive-up window and started helping those customers instead. When we finally got our scones, they were so dry that they must've been made the day before. We will never ever support this coffee joint again and I will never give another tip until the job is done!

I’ve been hesitant to wright this review but decided it was the best thing. My sister and I decided to get coffee from here before Christmas shopping on 12/19.. As I was drinking my coffee I noticed a very off taste and so did my sister. About 45 minutes to an hour after drinking it I felt sick… I had to call our night out to early. I immediately went home and started having diarrhea, the next day vomiting. This went on for almost 3 weeks until I caved and went the ER on New Year’s Day where i was diagnosed with infectious colitis from food poisoning. After being placed on 2 separate antibiotics im starting to feel like my self again. I really just want everyone to air on the side of caution when getting anything from here

Got vietnamese coffee, it tasted so burnt and bitter(I can handle dark coffee and have been to south east asia) and nothing like a real viet coffee. I went in and was treated like a chore and not even having much dialouge, they atleast swapped the drink, I got a matcha cream strawberry latte, the drink tastes artificial and the strawberries taste like plastic. We waited 15minutes for my girlfriends remake, the whole time we waited it was just sitting on a counter...waste of time. I asked the plus size blonde lady if this is ours, she just looked at me for not even a second and kinda did a nod thing that was fast and weird and then she ignored me. Horrible passive aggressive customer service, will not be coming back and not having my friends or family support that kind of bs

If you are okay with paying $7 for a medium drink, then getting the wrong drink, rude employees and managers. The employees do not confirm back your order at the drive through. They consistently get my order wrong no matter how specific I try to be to prevent this issue. When you let them know they look at you like you’re the one that ordered wrong. The managers might even be worse than the employees in terms of customer service. I would skip this place unless you are specifically looking to receive a surprise drink and rude employees who only engage with you long enough to tell you to answer the question on the pin pad for tip.

If you want to pay $7 for a cup of flavored ice, this is the place for you! You can get a TON of great tasting ice. Would you like some coffee with your ice? Not really! Ok, great, this is the perfect place for you. This place is a joke. They don't even let you get napkins, or stirring sticks. They took them all away, I assume, to save money? To treat grown adults who paid $7 for a cup of ice like children? Not sure. I used to love this coffee shop. I think they really took a turn for the worst and I would assume they are cheap because they are losing so much money for being cheap.
