We went for dinner at La Pergola for 2 nights out of the 4 that we stayed in Bellagio. We had the best service and dinner both times. The waiter was so friendly and welcoming and looked after us so well. The food was just wonderful too with a varied menu with lots to choose from. Their champagne is also delicious! Thank you to all and enjoy your well earned time off at the end of the season.
A Hidden Gem in Bellagio - A Must-Visit! Restaurant La Pergola was an absolute highlight of our trip to Bellagio! Nestled in the peaceful area of Pescallo, this beautiful lakeside restaurant offered a serene escape from the busier parts of town, with breathtaking views of the lake. We dined here twice during our stay and were consistently impressed. The staff were not only friendly but also had a great sense of humor, adding to the delightful atmosphere. They truly made our experience memorable with their dry wit and warm service. We don’t speak Italian very well, but we really tried our best and I think saying buongiorno and making an effort to speak Italian goes a long way. The food was amazing! Every dish we tried was packed with flavor, but the local lakeside fish, octopus, Ossobucco and ravioli were standouts. If you're a wine lover, I highly recommend pairing your meal with a glass/bottle of Vermentino, or one of their recommended red wines– it was the perfect compliment. Portion sizes were generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the area. Plus, they always serve fresh bread with your meal, which kept us very full. A couple of tips: - While the website mentions taxis, local taxis apparently (from what I have read) don't often service this area, so be prepared to walk. We however stayed in Pescallo area so we arranged a Taxi on the morning that we left and just rang different companies until one accepted so I guess it could be possible of you arrange it in advance. - The cobblestone path (Vicolo Streccetta) next to Hotel Belvedere is steep but manageable, though it may not be suitable for those with mobility issues or if you are heavily pregnant. The walk takes about 10-15 minutes – easier going down, but a bit more challenging on the way back up. We did this everyday as we went into town to buy groceries, and now we have strong legs! - If you have hired a car, there is some side street parking in the area and some restaurant/hotel parking. Just give them your car registration at reception if you are dining there. - They are open every day except Tuesdays and Wednesday lunch. - They are open from April to November. - I can’t make a comment on the hotel as we didn’t stay here. Overall, I highly recommend La Pergola if you're visiting Bellagio. The tranquil setting, delicious food, and wonderful service make it a must-visit. Be sure to book in advance, as it can get busy!

Stunning Setting, Solid Food We ate here twice — dinner and then lunch the next day after a boat rental. The view and location are absolutely unmatched, a true escape from the busy Bellagio crowds. The food was fresh and flavorful (a solid 4/5), though not extraordinary. Our only critique: the staff seemed less welcoming compared to other spots. Still, a beautiful place to unwind with a glass of wine.
We only ate at their restaurant: really enjoyed the lovely terrace with scenic lake view. A fried saffron rice ball was offered as amuse-bouche. We took the risotto with prawn, good quality of prawn and flavorful risotto, even though the look isn't quite flattering, I highly recommend this dish. Little downsides: the waiters made us wait long time before getting our order, we almost lost patience and left. The lamp on the table with white table sheet attracted lots of small insect when it got darker, one fell in my plate, this is maybe not an ideal combination of table setting.
We came here for dinner and the food was amazing!! 5/5, local fish platter was unique and flavorful, and the coffee dessert was my favorite. Service, as other people have mentioned, isn’t the best.. except for Joel! He was super sweet and funny. View is beautiful as well and it’s is right next to the spiaggietta
Restaurant Review- Poor. The food was seriously poor. There is such a thing as Al Dente spaghetti and there is such as thing as just not cooked. Even when returned and politely requested a second por…
The menu suggested a higher standard than was provided. Service extremely slow and staff require hospitality training. There was no sense of welcome. Amazing location that promised so much and deli…

Better than expected from reading reviews. Huge room with amazing view. We didn’t eat or drink in the restaurant so can’t comment on that. Short walk into the centre but it is quite a lot of steps …
The rooms are large and bright. The view of the sea is spectacular. Food is absolutely tasteless and expensive. If hotel breakfast is important to you, don’t bother. If you don’t have good mobility and fitness don’t stay here as it’s down some steep cobbled steps. Taxis don’t exist much in bellagio if at all.
The view is spectacular. It’s on the lake. The food is bad. The included breakfast is paltry. The owner is a bit grumpy. If she’s the owner. The rooms are comfortable enough.

I stayed for 2 nights room good view ,Restaurant good food but just the reception (lady not friendly ! and when we're asked some thing more detail she love to make her face like complain and up set!! I don't like !!
This hotel was quite difficult to access and you SERIOUSLY must check in by 8 pm or you will be left out in the cold. The email I received upon check in said you could make arrangements for check in at a $50 charge but the day of they told me I must be there by 8 pm. I had to take three trains and a fairy my day of arrival. I got to Bellagio at 7:30 pm. There welcome email said that you could access them by a 20 minute walk in a stone path....what it didn't mention was that this is stone steps. We had to get our very heavy luggage (we had been traveling in Italy for weeks) up 100s of stairs just to go back down 100s of stairs on the other side. On the way back, I did opt to book Uber black and paid 60 Euro to go just a couple of miles but quite honestly the best 60 Euro spent. After getting checked into the hotel (I made it on time, barely), the front desk staff were gone, lights out, gone. There was only ever someone at the front desk for a couple of hours in the morning and only if they knew they had someone checking in or out. The views from my room were absolutely amazing but that was the only good thing about this hotel. No air conditioning (which is understandable), but the cleanliness of the room also left much to be described. There was a lot of built up dust in places and spiderwebs everywhere. I wish we had just stayed in Como and taken a fairy over to explore Bellagio.
The good: Huge room some have excellent balcony with direct or side lake views, nice staff, there is breakfast they have restaurant with lake terrace for eating in nice weather. The bad: breakfast is minimal served from 8-10, tiny bathroom even smaller shower. The curtains are good in the day but provide FALSE PRIVACY at night if any lights are on can see directly inside. The ugly: it is extremely difficult to get to this hotel no direct transportation, very steep walk up long cobblestone hill going up then down, now imagine that with luggage, and imagine doing that each day to get to town/ferry/shopping/dinner. They need to figure out hotel shuttle or something.
My wife and I have travelled throughout Europe and this is one of the most unpleasant and rude staff ever encountered. There is no question or request too small that isn’t met with disdain or annoy…
Very rude staff. They are still living in the Stone Age and have not yet received any training in customer orientation. I was very disappointed. It was my first and last time.
So much promise here as the location great, views outstanding, room clean and bathroom new, but the owner/manager and breakfast staff pretty surly and unable to crack a smile or even be courteous…
Ordered black coffee and toast - the toast was cheap, poor quality white bread from a supermarket. When I went to pay i was given a bill which was €32 (€6 for coffee and €26 for the toast!). I asked if this was correct and was told yes. After questioning how toast was €26 I was advised again this is the correct price by a member of staff, I questioned again how and the server then spoke to a woman who worked there who then grabbed the bill and replaced it with a new one which was €14 for toast. Still complete rip off but couldn’t be bothered to complain again so just paid it - no apology from the staff for overcharging.
Do not waste your time or money on this restaurant. The actual, limited menu was totally different from the on-line menu. The only thing that tasted good was the wine. We had spaghetti with pesto and calamari. NO CALAMARI. No real flavor. The food is terrible, and the prices are ridiculously exorbitant for what you get. Nothing had any flavor, and nobody cared. What has happened to IBellagio?
Shocking service, there was duck poop on the tablecloth and when asking the staff to change the tablecloth, it was like I asked her for her first born son. Then the food, tasteless and not fresh. The "home made" Lasagna had just come out of the microwave. For a beautiful location and island, the food and service was the complete opposite.
We went here for dinner one night on the recommendation of the staff where we were staying, the location was perfect, but the food and service was the complete opposite, every staff member looked at you like you were doing them a favour, depressing looks on their faces and flat out rude. I ordered the steak medium, came out blue, not cooked at all. when we went to pay the lady at the register wouldn't get off her phone, then looked at us to say leave a tip. wouldn't go back if you paid me. Jerome
I politely asked if I could quickly use their bathroom, and the staff responded very rudely, saying they were closed. This is a hotel, and they were clearly open (they even had a guest at the reception they were speaking with at the time). Very unprofessional and unwelcoming.
The personnel is lacking basic hospitality manners. They seted us to a table and we ordered some drinks and 2 deserts and the waiter said that we have to move to another table if we are only taking the desert! They had three separate tables without any table covers like we were third country people!
the rudest and most primitive owner who refused our booked stay and charged a night and then cancelled our dinner reservation for 12 people for our 20th wedding anniversary. we have initiated a police report and a procedure at the bank
I had an awful experience at this restaurant. The waiter was extremely rude and initially refused to seat me because I had children with me, which was both unprofessional and discriminatory. After much insistence, they finally seated us, but the problems didn’t end there. The food was a disappointment—bland, poorly prepared, and not worth the price. On top of that, the service remained dreadful throughout the meal. I would not recommend this place to anyone and certainly won’t be returning.
It's bizarre that this beautiful old building in such a stunning location should be run so grudgingly. Some individual staff members did their best but the management treat the guests as an inconvenience. Why have the restaurant closed at the height of the season? Breakfast was quite skimpy (cheapest ham and cheese, croissants run out quickly). Indifferent coffee. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the view is lovely. But what a waste. Someone with interest/experience in the hospitality business (clue in the name) please take this place over and run it properly.
