Due to hectic schedules, we often order Door Dash for dinner and are regularly disappointed by what we receive (or don't) from various restaurants. However, everytime we order from BRISKET BBQ, the order is exactly correct, everyone's meals are included, prices are reasonable and the quality is awesome. It's my favorite, thus far!

Their brisket is soooo delicious!! If you go on wednesdays they have a brisket chef salad on special and it's so good! I can never eat it all! Gotta take half home!

I patronized this place for close to 15 years before leaving the city. I was very busy my first day back in the city, but I got myself over there on day 2. It was as good as ever and site renovations have made the atmosphere better than before.

I've been coming here since I was a kid. They never let me down. The food is AMAZING. The sauce is awesome! The one and only thing I can complain about is the fries. No seasoning at all. But then again who goes to a bbq place for some fries?

The gentleman cutting the meat and taking my order today was awesome. He listened, he asked questions to make sure I had everything that I needed. Surprised by the good service. I hate to say this but I don't look like the people that live in Bellaire and they were very nice to me.

We went for lunch today and had brisket, sausage, and baked potatoes. Every bite was delicious. I really liked the BBQ sauce too. Will definitely return.

It was the leanest brisket I've ever had. Not an ounce of fat on it. When I go to Pappas I have to throw a good portion of the "meat" away because it's fat, here nothing was wasted, my son & myself were able to eat every ounce we purchased. Great service as well.

Good food and good service. My 13 year old loves this place. The St. Louis Ribs are a good flavor and great tasting. We have had the sausage poboy, smoked turkey, brisket, and the ribs. We have yet to be disappointed with the food yet.

Ordered lunch for my hospital staff The food was on time,fresh and nicely presented everyone loved it. Very tasty. The brisket was very nice and lean, sausage and chicken as well. A popular item was the coleslaw. Comments from employees when can we order again and they will take their families to taste. Definitely will order again!!

I'm a Texan! And if it's one thing Texans are serious about, it's BBQ. They're meat is succulent and savory I had their loaded baked potato with meat and it was piled so high I couldn't finish it all. You can tell a quality BBQ spot by their sauce. It's the signature that seals the deal. The sweet BBQ sauce had me smacking my lips and licking my fingers. Stop in and get a plate. You won't be disappointed.

This is my family's go to barbecue joint. Whenever we have friends come from out of state we visit here regularly. Love it haven't had anything that we have not enjoyed. Love the low-key atmosphere and the great barbecue. It's a regular stop after a sporting event. I only wish they had jalapeno sausage :) two thumbs up all the way you won't regret it!

The staff is very professional, but not very personable. The stuffed baked potato with chopped brisket was delicious. Plenty of menu options and reasonably priced.

Got the burger, tasted great. Burger made fresh AFTER I ordered it and not ready to go once I did order it. I like that....means it's not frozen and it's real meat.

Good stuff , I'm always a fan of their brisket. The downside is that the pies are frozen. I had a slice of pecan pie that needed heating up before eating.

This is one of my family's go to places with good Bar b q, hamburgers, and large baked potatoes. I prefer a spicier sauce, but this place works great for my family. Service is best if you dine in or pickup. Call-in or online orders tend to get backed up at times.

The guy at the counter who slices the meat is an artist! The brisket is always moist. Chicken and sausage are on point. I don't really like sausage all that much but I find myself ordering it at Brisjet BBQ. The sides are great...especially the potato salad and the green beans. The sauce is...good...not great...but good. Now, I've never ordered it myself, but those loaded baked potatoes stuffed with bbq look amazing. Then of course, the little thing that keeps me coming back to many restaurants and besides they're good bbq is their fresh sweet tea!

First time experience for me. Great food, and a good value. Parking somewhat limited and entrance/exit from driveway can be dicey. I'll be back, but will try to make it a Sunday morning again. Traffic in this part of town is notoriously bad.

The butcher was on point and the BBQ was good but baby them sides is a little funky and baby said the brisket was a little dry lol but I liked it though its not they fault he don't know how to ask for his cuts

This place was okay but super outlandish on prices especially for the ribs and what you'll receive for it. Huge disappointment. Ordered the ‘weekend special’ with my boyfriend, anxiously anticipating some delicious bbq. The special consisted of two meats and baked potato. I ordered the chicken and turkey while he had the sausage and ribs. All of the meat was super dry and just bland. After digging in, I asked my boyfriend to see if they had more options of bbq sauce. Nope, they only have one. You’d think there would be a sweet, mild and spicy..their sauce was almost if not more underwhelming than the meats themselves. I’ve seen other reviews that have praised this establishment and what I’m hoping is maybe our experience was just a bad day of cooking because we really were expecting the same great meals others have had.

Brisket had no flavor on its own and was dry. BBQ sauce was ok but nothing fantastic. Made the sandwich better. Got order of onion rings. You could tell they were from a bag and not battered in store.

Food was 1 star but the staff seemed really nice n polite so I'll tack a second star on there. I'm in Texas visiting so I figured I had an opportunity to finally have authentic Texas BBq. This place does not represent that at all. Might as well have been Alaskan bbq. Turkey was nursing home/soup kitchen dry slices. Chicken was rotisserie, not smoked or grilled at all. Brisket slices tasted brittle and dry like it was previously frozen. I can assure you none of the meat on my sampler was ever on any form of a bbq grill. The sides were mild and flavorless. Like catered food when most of the guests are elderly. Just blah. Bbq sauce literally tasted like nothing. No tang, zero zest, spice, NOTHING. Such a disappointment. I was just very sad.

Destination bbq this is not. I ordered a chopped beef sandwich and half a chicken. The brisket was quite bland but what really killed the meal was the bbq sauce. It was more of a gravy than a bbq sauce -tasted as if it was laden with flour and fat with no sweetness or tang at all. Thankfully I skipped the sides which looked like typical assembly line fare. The people are friendly enough but the food was very disappointing.

Edit: 10/17/2020 Something changed here since my last visit. The brisket was very dry, no smoke flavor or seasoning, the fatty brisket tasted like liver, and the sauce was very bland. Horrible. I've been coming here for almost 40 years and this was the worst. Original review: Old school BBQ joint. My favorites have all closed down , glad brisket BBQ is still around. Very reasonable prices, good service, good sauce and good food

I ordered the brisket sandwich, french fries and a 1/2 lb of sausage. The sausage are very good. I was disappointed that they don't provide bbq sauce for the extra meat. The brisket, while given ample amount on my sandwich, was very bland and there was just a spot of bbq sauce, which did not seem to have any taste. The french fries were very hard, like they had been sitting there for awhile. I will probably not order from here again, unless its for the sausage.

My roommate picked up some barbecue from this place today. I ordered the mashed potatoes as a side and found out when she got back they didn’t come with gravy. I have never been to any place in Texas that sells barbecue and doesn't have gravy for the mashed potatoes. Apparently this place is that one place or they forgot. My side of corn looks depressing and could have used some actual seasoning. The barbecue sauce lacks flavor as well, but the sausage is surprisingly tasty. Whatever kind of ribs and rub they use seem to meld well together. Overall it's edible. I won't be going out of my way to eat here in the future though. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go whip up a quick pot of gravy to save these mashed potatoes and corn from a sad existence.

Came to pick up a ToGo order here and the Lady Cashier looked at me like I came to steal their meat! This is not a place I’d come back to!

My co workers and i went for lunch on tuesday. We really enjoyed the food here , we even order for our office on Saturdays. But on this day we went to have lunch there and we ordered a salad and noticed that the lady who was on the cash registar grabbed the tongs with no gloves and threw it back into the salad pan with no gloves, barehanded. The other employess were not wearing gloves either. I asked for the manager they said it was the same person who was at the cash registar. Wow , then i asked for owners name and of the employess said we could not give name..I was rally disappointed with the service this time ..

The Customer Service is TERRIBLE. When I ordered my food the lady who answered said it would be about 45 min until we got our food delivered. I called back an hour later and they said it would be another 10 minutes. I called back at 12 minutes to see if maybe the driver got lost and no one picked up the phone, so I tried calling from my office phone and the lady picked up on the first ring. The driver showed up as I was speaking with her asking to speak with a manager. She informed me that she was it at the moment and her boss Sion wasn't in yet. As I tried to explain why I was upset to her she continued to speak over me, rather than let me talk. I wasn't upset because it took so long but because I wasn't informed when they realized that it would take longer than 45 minutes. When myself and my coworker started splitting up the food we noticed some items were missing. My coworker called back and asked for the manager and was transferred over immediately to Sion. Sion was also speaking over her telling her delivery was a free service and not to order from them again and hung up. My coworker wasn't able to let him know that the restaurant forgot some items on our order. She had to call back and tell the first person who answered the phone that they messed up the order. Beyond that the food was mediocre at best.

The only thing this place has going for it is that you can get a beer with your small portion of dried out brisket, horrible sauce and rude service. Right down the street two blocks, the food is much better and so is the service but no beer at Hickory Pit. If you want some really serious Q, you'll have to drive to Pearland and hit Killen's. No sauce required.

No flavor meats. First time and last for me. Went on Friday 4-20 for lunch been sick since then. 2 meat plate, not again. Wife couldn't eat her fries because they were hard. Meat looked boiled not smoked. Sure was an expensive way to cleanse myself.

Just ate there today. Terrible service. After I bought my food I went to the bathroom and came back out my cup was gone. Clearly on my receipt I paid for a cup and the cashier at the register didnt want to give me another plastic cup. Really...smh. Just tried it foe the first time. The brisket looked and tasted like thawed out "steak-ums". No flavor, dry and overcooked. I actually toasted a bun and put cheese on it to make a philly cheese steak.

I just left, I waited 12 min for a burger I always enjoy but I over heard the workers speaking spanish. I spoke in English the whole time. I speak both English and spanish so I hear a lady ask the man if the order was with cheese he said yes and she then said you didnt charge it. He proceeded to say but they asked for it. I assumed they would just put cheese or at least tell me to pay the remainder but instead they just let me leave knowing the order was wrong. Who does that? They were more worried about cooking their lunch and taking their break. I wont go there again.

I don’t like to leave bad reviews but this may be literally be the worst bbq I have ever had. None of this is fresh and the fried okra is especially sad. It’s all covered in some sort of misguided gravy that i’m assuming is supposed to be sauce? The ham looks and tastes like cheap deli sandwich meat, and the brisket...come on. You can’t pass this off as bbq, this is actually horrible.

This was my first time here and I ordered the 1 meat beef baked potato. 1 there was no flavor to the meat, taste like it was not cooked all the way, the sauce was horrible and the baked potato also didn't have any flavor to it. I also ordered a side of brisket which also did not have any flavor to it. That was the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten. I will not be ordering or visiting there anymore. I deserve a refund for not being satified with my order.

Just ate some catering from this place and literally came online to look it up and leave a negative review. Sauce tasted like a blander version of spaghettios. The meat was bland, cold, and brisket tasted like old roast beef. Perhaps the in-store food is better but wow this was disappointing.

Their weekend special is actually a weekend ripoff. My “two meat” combo of double ribs consisted of 4 ribs. The service is great but knowing the owner’s attitude and having heard through the industry lines about the kind of person he is makes me want to vomit. Don’t come here, if you do than make sure to tip 50% because those hard workers aren’t getting paid what they should be.

I have never writing a review, but based on the meal I just had, I felt a moral obligation to do so. This food is horrible. I had the the Ribs and Chicken. The chicken smelled of fish, and not like oh we used fish grease some how to prepare the Chicken. No it was more like prepare to spend some time in the bathroom after you eat this. The potato salad if that was what that was. Was more like mashed potato salad. WHY WOULD MAKE YOUR POTATO SALAD LIKE THAT! And the Ribs OH BOY! Were obviously boiled and then cooked in the oven to give the appearance of being bar-b -qued. I'm guessing because that would be the only explanation for the lack of any smoke or fire flavor what so ever. Honestly I could go on forever about how wretched a place this is, but as I write this I'm beginning to sweat that cold sweat you get before a long evening of food poisoning. I have no fight in the bar-b-que game so take from this what you will, but you've been warned.

I have eaten here quite a few times over the years, and today was the worst. I dont know why you are using hash browns instead of potatoes in the potatoe salad but the texture is awful, changes the whole concept of potatoe salad. We had the chicken, sausage, & brisket. It was SO dry couldnt eat it most of it The sausage didnt taste like sausage at all. The Cole slaw was the only decent thing we got. Very disappointed over all. (And so was everyone else). So wont be eating here for a long time & will be telling everyone I know.

I have had better bbq in hospitals. The meat is dry. No flavor. I'd even bet they par-boil the meat before they smoke it. If it was my restaurant I would seriously ask myself why the dining room was empty on a Friday evening.

As a first time visitor into this establishment I was unimpressed. The employees behind the counter were rude and inconsiderate. I got my brisket baked potato and and the "bbq sauce" was so watered down everything felt like baby good in my mouth. Wouldn't eat here again even if my life depended on it.

Man, I’m not one to write a review but I will today. First, take the potato salad off the menu… Why is it mashed? Potato salad is supposed to be chunky not mashed. The mac nd cheese was cheesy water. MY CHICKEN WAS UNCOOKED, PINK AND BLEEDING IN THE MIDDLE. The ribs and brisket was no where near seasoned, smoked or grilled. The bbq sauce needs to be thrown out on Bissonet for rain to wash away. It was no flavor and honestly tasted like a gravy. Along with papas Texas has been very disappointing with their “bbq”. Im sorry but this was a 0/10 experience, I threw my plate away.

The brisket was also especially lame....dry, stringy.. Get it together! The people that work here are kind and the place is clean. I ordered the baked potato with pork. The meat has absolutely no flavor other than just salty. The chopped meat had an abundance of fat in it. One good thing there was a good amount of meat, however it looks as though some of the potato was taken out to make room. First time....last time.
