Best cocktails that I have had out recently, and very nice presentation. Food was really good as well (just had a couple tacos), except one minor thing- the salmon taco had way too much sauce slathered on the underside of the fish filet

I always come on taco Tuesday. One of their best deal in my opinion. $3.50 a taco. It's so good. My favorites are chicharrón and chicken but they have lots of options!

Came for a couple of drinks and decided to order some Guac... the Gauc is pretty standard but they paired it with pork rinds and it was a game changer. Can't wait to go back for more. BTW the drinks are awesome, wife had the margarita flight and I had the Cucumber margarita all very good.

I really like this place, very cool atmosphere and really good food if you don't like spicy food at all it might be too much for you. They're very accommodating with the cocktails and was more reasonably priced than I thought.

Great tasting food and exceptionally fast service. Thank you to all the staff at Kalaveras. The birrias tacos (3) we're delicious. Very flavorful but not very spicy. The empanadas (2) we're delicious with the chimchuri. The shrimp tacos were absolutely delicious. The piña con chile margarita (8 oz) was delicious.

Our first experience with Kalavers in Whittier was horrible and I bowed never to visit them again. But my son invited us to the Bellflower location and what a contrast! We had the time of our lives. It was May 13 and it wasn't crowded. The service was not only prompt but also the friendliest and the atmosphere was just perfect for dinner and drinks. Definitely a must-go and come-back-for-more restaurant.

Went here to celebrate my birthday on May 30th. Our waiter Gustavo was the best, great personally and customer service, he was very attentive of our needs. Food was delicious and fresh. It was my family's first time coming and were very please with the atmosphere, waiter, food and especially the drinks. The decorations is very bright and colorful, they have music playing which make this place very lively. I would totally recommend this place, for any celebration as they have a mini birthday show. Ask for Gustavo to receive the best services.

Visited this location for the first time with my BFF. I frequent the LBC location. Service was great here too. The food was delicious, actually tasted slightly different, but in a good way! I order the exact same thing every time. Service was great. Upon entry and while seated! I will definitely be returning! I can get to this location quicker than LBC, but you can't go wrong either way. Kalaveras has a great thing going.

This place is 🔥! The service was excellent. I like the unique food items like barbacoa which isn't always available at other places. A lot of unique signature cocktails, not to sweet but I do prefer beer and hard liquor which is also available. They have a variety of mezcal.

My boyfriend and I visited Kalaveras Saturday night 7/7/18 the service was great. Food and drinks were delicious. Our waitress was very attentive. We had nice time and we really enjoyed the live music, the band was awesome! We will definitely go back and I will order the Guera cocktail drink again cause it was so delicious and enjoy the great atmosphere!

The food here was delicious, and the ambiance is colorful and vibrant. I wish that I had taken photos of the background without people in it, so I could post some of the artwork on the walls. Our server Luis, and everyone else on their team, were helpful and attentive. We had the strawberry margarita pitcher and some guacamole with pork rinds to start with, which were great. We ordered the molcajete and the carne asada plates-- generous, flavorful portions. I will be back again.

The atmosphere grabs you and for me takes control. Its just a total experience. The food is an eye catcher along with some of the cutest drinks and they also tast good too. A lady behind me got a drink delivered in a wood box as the box opened a puff of smoke came out. Very dramatic but oh so cute. I had the margarita flight. Yummy!! This place is just a good time. Taco Tuesday was also great hadn’t visited here in like 3 years prices went up too in their tacos but worth the price $1.49 for tacos Loved the Chicharrón and the Mushroom tacos the most then the Al Pastor…their Happy Hour menu and appetizers are tasty too loved the Tacos Gobernador which I highly recommend getting the larger size not the appetizer size Lol! A tasty red chile tortilla with shrimp and cheese so cheesy and deliciously paired with their mango pico de gallo Yummy , Mom enjoyed a refreshing Jamaica Margarita and I picked the Piña con Chile💯❤️🥰Alexis was our server she was super attentive to our needs and our order was very understanding that I had my walker so she offered to go get our tacos and garnished them with sides that were really good spicy guacamole and then a red salsa that was just right not to spicy just in case…but she also recommended getting the larger Gobernador tacos from the menu …should of listened to her well! I will have to return to their Happy Hour again and then some❤️loved the setting of the different iconic singers and actors on the walls! The Artwork is eye catching and matches to their names Kalaveras… oh by the way parking 🅿️ available in the back but handicap accessible throughout the restaurant …until we meet again 🌻💯

Food was scrumptious! Had the salsa verde chicken enchiladas that come with rice and beans on the side. The birria queso tacos were delish! Both were flavorful😋The drinks are beautiful and tasty. Definitely worth it! Will come back again for more drinks and entrees 👍

I like the music they play feels like your at a club but sitting down and eating. I have been there several times had never had an issue staff is polite. I always order a drink like a michelada with a modelo and then a Cadillac yummy. I know it’s a bit pricey but sitting down and having a good time priceless. The environment is also family friendly the menu might not be big but I’m sure between tacos or fajitas like the trio yummy

Came here on a Tuesday randomly. Service was super nice and conversational. Even had the manager greet us. We ordered 2 Asada tacos ,1 chicken taco and 1 salmon taco. We also ordered desert. The flan was super soft and melted in our mouth. Will be back

This place is pretty cool. I been to the Garfield location but this location i like a bit better. The food was great , the drinks are amazing, the staff is wonderful. The karaoke got me by surprise. I enjoyed everything about it. I believe the price Fits the experience. Overall i think the best things are the decor and the drinks. The drinks are pretty amazing. The fruit is fresh the candy on the rim. The beer comes out cold. No complaints from my side. I definitely will be back. Maybe even sing next time you never know. Went for Happy Hour, prices are still a bit on the higher side for happy hour (in my opinion) appetizers where good, wings and birria tacos had good flavor. For me, this is just another chain Mexican restaurant.

Food and drinks were great. Appetizer potatoes and chorizo not good since they only had bland potatoes. It was brought up to our server. We ordered tortillas since we never got them but we were charged for them.

Margarita flight was ok. $35 for 4 small drinks. We didn't eat, but the salsa was tasty. It was blended, NOT chunky with too many onions. This was just the first stop before going to New Wave👍

First time eating there. I went with my daughter and learned while there, it was her first time. My drink was a pineapple margarita and it was good. My daughter got those drinks (4 margaritas) for $35. I ordered two tacos, which were OK. I ordered an enchilada which was prepared differently than what I'm used to. The rice and beans came on a separate plate and were not hot. I'm not complaining about the food, it's just not what I am used to. It was crowded, the music playing was very loud, but people seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Great place to celebrate and spend some time out with friends. Only downside is after a certain time it's hard to hear your conversations as it will get crowded and loud with the music. Drinks and food is a little overpriced compared to other places.

Had a good experience, drinks were on point and lots to choose from. Went on Halloween and there was one bartender, one server, one buser and a manager taking care of the whole restaurant so short staffed. With that said, they really did a remarkable job so I feel terrible giving less than 5 stars. I'll give it another shot and I'm sure if they're fully staffed it would be a 5 star experience ✨️

My first time coming to Kalaveras, I had a server named Alexis who was rude, yelled at someone on the floor, and overall had nasty energy. However, I decided to give the place a second chance and was met with Juanito who exceeded my expectations and provided me with AMAZING service. Thank you Juanito!

The drinks were absolutely great! The food is okay. Definitely not the best but not bad at all. It reminds me of a more "watered" down version of Mexican food, definitely not that authentic taste you'll get from the taco stand or mom and pop restaurants lol. The AC in this location is horrible though. So many flies and the heat overpowered the AC since the front is an open area. The service was great. I would return and would recommend this place for drinks for sure!

I was staying with friends nearby and it was taco Tuesday. Tip: get two tacos at a time for more meat. They skimped on the meat on my first plate of six to make it fit the plate I guess. The tacos were good, I liked the carnitas better than the asada. All of the salsas went great with the tacos. It's nice having the toppings bar for you to customize.

I came here on a Monday around 5pm just in time for Happy Hour. They have drink specials every day of the week and 2 tacos for $7. Nice size tacos and pretty presentation too. The ambiance is nice here. There is outdoor seating on the patio too and looks very welcoming. Staff is very friendly and service is fast.

This place has a great atmosphere! The mix drinks are very tasty with natural fruit flavor they’re light they don’t mix too much alcohol perfectly soothing. I always get the margarita flight as first preference. Service was awesome! We were told our table was a 45 min wait we got seated quickly less then the time expected. Outdoor view was perfect and relaxing I recommend.

Been to a couple other locations and this one happened to be closest to my wife's college and graduation. They have a great selection of Mexican food and are really good with their style of serving you up some great Mexican cuisine. Our service was excellent, at the time I counted 3 different employees including our main server who made sure our visit was a warm welcome. We got a margarita flight which was delicious and my wife and guest got a couple other drinks to celebrate the graduate. Our daughter got the quesadilla with grilled carne asada, I got their carne asada taco, wifey got their 3 rolled chicken taquitos, and our guest got their grilled carne asada burrito (picture not provided). My only gripe was the music selection that was played over the pa, they could switch it up a bit, there are plenty of music genres out there including a plethora of Mexican styles, they only stuck to just one genre which was top 40 and most popular. Place was clean, organized, and plenty of parking in the back. I'd be more than happy to come back, only if I was the DJ, I mean c'mon throw in some Rock n' Espanol and or Banda at least.

Colorful and lively bar. Food and drinks were different than most Mexican/Hispanic locations. What I mean by this is that the margaritas had a different taste ; my coworkers and I weren’t sure if it was the cups that were not washed correctly or maybe the ice is from tap water…. The manager was nice enough to discount my drink though. Every employee here was extremely attentive. The alcohol is the only thing I did not like from this bar. The candy shots are $10 . All it is, is a lollipop with some tequila that had a bitter - unwashed cup taste. Maybe next time I’ll visit a different location , but the Bar-restaurant itself is worth a try to enjoy time with friends .

I liked the music but couldn't even talk to each other (Thursday evening). Waitress was very nice and friendly.

You ever look forward to a place and when you get there it's just average? The best thing about this place was taco Tuesday. Tacos $2.50 each and a plate of taquitos $5. The service was above average but the drinks OMG, $16 for a Cadillac margarita that was mostly ice in a small glass. Maybe it's better for picking up some tacos on Tuesdays to go then make your own margaritas from a handle of tequila you can buy for that price.

I will say hard to get the attention from waitresses and I guess it's because they automatically charge me the tip so they don't really try thier best at customer service . Besides that great place to eat and drink my bill was $345.00 by the end of the night.

Our service was horrible and I'm very disappointed. My husband and I came in during happy hour and the restaurant was DEAD. Our server was extremely slow and very un-attentive. A near by server who kept us in her side view, Laura, was phenomenal. She kept an eye on our drinks, asked if we were okay and took care of us when she could. As time went on, staff/servers were pouring in and still our service sucked as our original server DISAPPEARED and Laura had left for break. What food and drinks were ordered were great, the taqutios were delightful and the Kali burrito was delicious...drinks were flared with presentation and nice. There was four managers that we could see on the floor and one of the female managers noticed we needed service..took a drink order, followed up, we expressed our concerns regarding service and her response was so dismissive. Our bill was nearly $200 and had our service been consistent and great, we would have stayed and continued to enjoy ourselves. Super let down...would not come back based on services BUT Laura was GREAT.

I was really looking forward to trying Kalaveras in Bellflower since I had a great experience at their Redondo Beach location. Unfortunately, this visit didn’t live up to expectations. We had made a reservation through a third-party site and showed up on time, only to be told by the host that they only accept reservations through Yelp. This was surprising, especially since I had a confirmed reservation in hand. She went inside to check and then came back saying we might need to wait 30 minutes. Meanwhile, my wife had already gone in through the back and was seated, having placed our order! Definitely a disorganized first impression. The management seemed scattered and the service wasn’t very attentive throughout our visit. We were there on Taco Tuesday, and while I’ll say the tacos were flavorful and the variety of salsas was a nice touch, there were some letdowns—like no complimentary chips and salsa, which we enjoyed at the Redondo Beach location. Overall, I left disappointed and don’t think I’ll be coming back to this location. There are better-run spots nearby that value customer experience more consistently.

So first off I've been waiting to try this place for a while now so was super excited! First off the atmosphere is excellent and the over all restaurant look is nice. Well we were sitted in a timely manner and greeted with a smile by the hostess and our waiter! That's where the good stops! We ordered two margarita's which were ok but would be better if they were blended. My wife orders the "molcajete" which i put in quotations because it was served in a cast iron pan! Not my idea of a good quality molcajete! I ordered the combination plate which was average at best! A couple of items tasted like fridge..... my son had the chicken nuggets which he liked. The highlight was the band playing which was having some trouble with the sounds system. Over all I dont think I will return for the food at all here, maybe just a quick stop by for the bar

I just ordered food and was anxious to try it because of the reviews. I get home and the fish taco is more like lettuce tacos it was a small strip of fish under my lettuce. Very disappointed especially after the hard day I had at work. Was hoping for a night off from cooking. I really was craving ceviche and when I ate it the shrimp was still a little raw. I know the shrimp isn’t cooked in ceviche but this seemed like it was just put together. I spent 50.00 here and had to share my cheese enchiladas with my wife because the rest of the food was a fail. I don’t think we will be returning

It was my first time here and been wanting to come for awhile so I had high expectations. The vibe is nice and my waiter was very helpful . I got the lomo saltado and it wasn’t good. I guess it’s cause the restaurant specializes in Mexican food and I got a Peruvian dish. The drinks were good too a bit pricey though. I’m willing to give it another chance. Also there is almost always no parking

First time here and was looking forward enjoying a nice drink first, second an appetizer and hopefully finish with a meal. That went out of the door. First, the drinks are not well made; zero alcohol, with an ice cube the size of my cup. I don’t mind paying for a good drink, but it looks like you’re trying to turn a $30 or $50 dollar bottle and make a 3k profit using a measuring cup. Not cool charging the prices with bs drinks, probably needed to purchase $500 dollars worth of drinks before I even feel a buzz. Appetizer was o.k, salsa and chips were good. I think you guys have the right crew and positive attitude, but you guys really need to stop being greedy on the drinks. TGI Fridays went bankrupt for bad drinks and food.

if they don't want white peoples money, just say so before being so rude. we were looking forward to eating there but the manager or host was the rudest person and so unwelcoming.

Came for the advertised happy hour margarita slushie specials that started at 3:00. Is now 4:30 and they still do not have any slushies. This is my first visit and will be my last. Staff wasn't apologetic and just shrugged it off. They made no attempt to make it right. Way to go management!

I'm sorry but my experience there was not good. I'm pretty sure they are nice but we never got our appetizer nor our food. Just 2 glasses of water. We complained to several of the employees but nobody helped. I can't even put on a star on the food cause we didn't even see anything.

When to try this place they had told me it's good but disappointed no one came to great us or to seat us or give us a table and two workers saw us just ignored we were there it says it opened at 10am Saturday and we were there 11:30am we waited 15min seating down but nothing

Took the family for taco Tuesday it basically empty in the restaurant but had wait 20 minutes to be seated the and the dodgers are playing third game of the series another 15 minutes to take the order so we can get our tacos the waiter takes for ever to bring the drinks we were almost done eating we had a bill of 44.03 gave him a 50.00 and 5 cents he return with a 5.00 bill I guess he kept a dollar for his tip I don’t recommend eating at calaveras in bellflower

I was very disappointment on this restaurant i and family members went there for a surprise party 80th birthday we were about 40 people, services under Staff not very good service everything late it was my first time being there and last time , what the advertise their menu is misleading you can see my octopus very dry overcooked nothing looks like what the advertise on the web, the molcajete was not was an flat pan skillet Wow. their meats were dry the cheese was really hard not mounted over the pot like a molcajete should look like with a nopales no Seafood on it that's kind of odd because molcajete comes with different variety of food of meats. I might say this place I will never go back again plus add on to this the restrooms on the man very filthy not clean for some reason they seem like they're short out of staff.

We have been to Kalveras in San Pedro and always exceptional experience, on the other hand, this one has a huge room for improving it's costumer service. We have had to wait for a good fifteen minutes before anyone approached to ask how many in our party, workers just saw everyone in front waiting, and no one took the time to come and greet. The person sitting didn't ask who was first in line, and just told everyone it would be 5 minutes, came back later and again said it was five minutes. The food is pretty good, but the front staff needs to be properly trained.

This location sucks, I with I could give negative, they have months or even years saying they close at 11 but the it website says 12. They still let you order and charge you and then at 11:15 they say you have to leave like what the helllyyy like bruh you close at 12 WORST LOCATION
