Shiki Bistro is a very good (excellent) Sushi restaurant with extremely fresh sushi. The chefs are perfect and the food is delicious. Whether you want a sushi roll or just the fish, the place is great. Price is not cheap but sushi never is. Try it and you will be hooked!

I’ve been to Japan at least 25 times and know great Japanese food. This is an awesome, family-friendly find even by Californians’ high standards for Asian cuisine. The food is delicious and a tremendous value (especially the kids menu, which includes multiple main dishes, miso soup, sushi and ice cream). The specialty rolls are excellent, with fresh raw fish and daily market selections. The wasabi is made fresh. The green tea is one of the best in the bay. The atmosphere is vaguely Parisian, with large banquettes and comfy chairs, with a beautiful mosaic of Mt. Fuji looming over everyone. The bar is classy too. We are super lucky to have Shiki in our neighborhood.

Stumbled upon this gem while traveling for the Santa Rosa Marathon. The sushi was melt-in-your-mouth delicious with a flare of creativity. Not only was the staff welcoming and friendly, but Yue also spent time providing recommendations tailored to what we most enjoyed. The head chef spent time with us and even brought over a complimentary seasonal dish - Black Sea bass. The entire meal was one we will remember. Next time we’re in Santa Rosa, we’ll be bringing our friends!

Stylish and innovative Japanese food with something for every palate ! We ordered the Agedashi Tofu for appetizer and Rainbow, 49ers, Spider-Man and Lion King sushis for main course. Everything was delicious, served promptly and in generous portions. For dessert we ordered mochi ice cream and chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. The mochi was the absolute best I’ve had in a while and the chocolate lava was also amazing. Greta service, great food, five out of five stars !

Honestly beyond impressed by the wonderful owner and his amazing staff at Shiki Bistro. They made every effort to make my mother's birthday a happy and memorable one. Their toro, uni, and wagyu were so fresh and premium in quality. The dinner sets were beautiful, generous in size, and delicious. Definitely recommend and will visit again.

Their sushi is out of this world, so fresh and delicious. They have an extensive menu of many different fancy/specialty rolls that are all so good. The service was super fast, and they were all very kind. Lots of seating inside and outside!

Came here for my girlfriend's company dinner. We were seated in a private area. The service was excellent, sake was plentiful and the food never stopped coming. The finale was a whole fish sashimi that was both beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! Given the excellent quality of the food with the large party, I have no doubt their food will be great for a small party. I will definitely be coming back in the future to try their other dishes!

Absolutely loved it! They have great outdoor dining and delicious California rolls. Also, if it’s your birthday they provide you with a small mango ice cream or other dessert for free! They are quite crowded but safer than other restaurants in San Carlos as they are farther away from the main strip.

We were party of 5 on Sunday lunch. Sat down promptly near by the window. Loved the restaurant’s atmosphere, interior space, food, drinks and the service by Jesica and Ratish. We had three big hot sake and two apple juice. We started with potstickers which they call gyoza or something. They were really good so we ordered 2 more plates. We had house salad, pretty good. We ordered two ramen with pork that was just so good. Haven’t had that kind of ramen for long time. We had jalapeño Sushi which was pretty good as well. Lastly, we had different flavored ice creams; mango, strawberry and chocolate for the dessert. Oh man! good lunch, yummm and healthy. Going back again.

Nice chill. But also feels like date night. They give you enough pickled ginger, usually I have to ask for more, but better they're very generous, give you a nice stack of it. They have a weekend happy hour too.

This is a place that will treat you like a “star” unconditionally of your party size. My family is a regular and this is my go-to place for big events as well. Their fish is always fresh, waiters are well-trained and always with a big smile and the Management under Paul is superb! Keep it up Shikki Bistro!

Overpriced mid quality rolls, they cover up having subpar fish by coating the rolls in thick syrupy sauces. Not the worst dining experience, but definetly far from great, and not nearly worth the price.

I ordered dinner from here through DoorDash last night and tried to leave a review on DoorDash, but they don’t seem to be putting it up. This was the worst sushi I’ve ever had and I got really sick ( violent stomach aches and vomiting). The sushi rolls, seaweed salad, nigiri and hand roll looked and smelled like old fish and like it had been sitting out for awhile (I should have been suspicious that it was delivered within 15 minutes after ordering on a Saturday evening). It all just seemed like very poor quality and not fresh, NOT what you want when ordering sushi especially. Even the shrimp nigiri was horrible and a rip off- they literally sliced the very top of the shrimp and placed on a bed of old smelling rice (see pic). The seaweed salad looked and tasted like it was from out of a can and was like soup with all the syrup-like sauce on it. The snow dragon roll just tasted like fake crab and mayonnaise. And the tuna hand roll was just as bad. Just for reference I do not have any food allergies and I am a regular sushi eater. I was excited to try this place out after reading some good reviews and it being my first sushi in California and man was I disappointed and sick. Save yourself the risk please and order elsewhere! I’m a nurse and just wanted to warn others. Side note: no chopsticks or soy sauce were given and there was not an option to add to the DoorDash order.
