Tip: For the best experience, dine in and request Elijah for sushi. Be aware that hibachi cook quality can vary, and some find the music loud.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had the most memorable experience tonight at Nami’s Hibachi and Japanese Steakhouse. We came in with our two younger babies who, unfortunately, were not having a great night. There were tears, little fits, and one of those moments where you’re just hoping to get through dinner without disturbing everyone. Instead of feeling stressed or judged, we were met with so much kindness and grace. The owner/manager (I’m not sure which, but he truly went above and beyond) was incredibly caring, patient, and attentive. He genuinely tried to help make our kids happy and comfortable, and you could tell it came from the heart. That kind of compassion is rare, and it meant more to us than he probably knows. The entire staff was in a great mood, welcoming and understanding. Our chef was amazing — talented, fun, and full of personality. The food was delicious, cooked perfectly, and the whole experience felt warm and positive from start to finish. It was one of those nights that reminds you there are still truly kind people out there. We left feeling thankful and taken care of. This wasn’t just dinner — it was a memorable experience for our family. We will absolutely be back. Thank you for your kindness. 💛
The food is so good and being able to watch them prepared in front of you and interact with your chef is so fun! The fried rice is on point and the stakes are splendid!
First time here and certainly will not be the last! I typically am not a huge fan of sushi but I am now!! Had the Spicy jazz roll and just when I thought a roll couldn’t get any better here comes the longhorn roll. Was DELICIOUS‼️. The fried rice was the best I’ve ever had! So flavorful and the steak, lobster and scallops were on point. Drinks were very good also. We were thanked profusely upon existing which showed us how much they appreciate our business. The exterior entry could use some sprucing up such as fresh paint surround, greenery, lights and possibly an awning. The interior is perfect and so inviting. Love it!! Thank you so much! See you soooooon!
Went here with a friend, was a little apprehensive at first, but it was delicious! The atmosphere was great! I would definitely go again!
Our cook Cloud kicked ass. In the words of weird Al “he’s pretty fly for a white guy”. He put on a different show that wasn’t the typical cookie cutter hibachi show. We loved his humor and appreciate how accommodating he was with our family.
We made reservations for 4pm for 6 for my birthday. I had to wait 20 min for my brother to show up and they still sat us after and made sure we had the best experience. Josh from the Namis in Killeen was our hibachi guy, and he was awesome. Manager worked with us as well! Overall great experience.
Friends and family brought me here for my birthday! I have been here a few times and the cooks are hit or miss (hibachi chef's). Oit of my 4 times at the grill, 3 of these times were extremely enjoyable. Chef's were amazing and entertaining! This time was by far the best! The Chef was engaged with everyone and entertained the 7 children with ease. He made the hour wait for a party of 10 well worth it! We all played scrabble with one another on our phones. Once the Chef arrived, it was a blast! Once food was served, not a single child was not eating. This Nami is definitely a great way to spend time with loved ones. Just be sure to make a reservation if your party will take up the entire grill. I did not.
Love the food depending on who’s making it. Some cooks season very well, some under season. I guess it comes down to a personal preference. I would recommend to eat there when it’s freshly made in front of you vs taking it Togo. The experience was not the same ordering Togo and very much a let down for the price paid.
Took my daughter for her birthday she had to step out to get air. It was a bit warm in the restaurant and smoke was a bit too much. It was our 2nd time there had a better experience the 1st time. Hostess told us there was a 45 min wait and wasn’t very hospitable on greeting us or making us feel welcomed. Was talking to other staff members. Waiter was prompt on drinks, refills and bringing our appetizers. Chef was ok portions are great meat was tender and made to our liking but didn’t have any seasoning Salt & pepper bare minimum would have been ok. In other restaurants I had a sauce for steak one for veggies and one for shrimp set out for us. One sauce I think it was for the vegetables. One chef had a loud speaker going off next to us same song every time he can out some type of club music. Not for everyone I understand he’s trying to put on a show but he left it on for the whole duration of the time Every time he came out same song. Was hard to have a conversation with the family like I said not for everyone. It was for us spent $178.00 tip included tipped waiter & chef. Nothing that can’t be fixed maybe I’ll have a better experience next time.
We went last night for our Valentine's date and left disappointed. We have kids and have been there multiple times so we know what to expect, usually whoever is cooking puts on a performance/makes a show out of cooking, volcano onions, eggs, we laugh and joke all good. This time however, it was pure disappointment. We arrived as soon as they opened at 5 pm to beat the rush and be able to enjoy dinner but the service was terrible. We sat at the hibachi and the gentleman cooking literally told us he was too busy and wasn't even going to talk to us, and made it not even worth sitting at the hibachi. Remind you,we got there at 5pm, they literally just opened. The veggies were still raw, tasted like freezer burn, the fried rice, the only other reason you go, was dry and lacked all flavor. If you didn't drown it in yum yum sauce, you won't be able to swallow it because it was so dry. We bought hibachi chicken and they used to be really good and they added sesame seeds and other seasonings, now they cook it and pour a blog stuff out of stuff all over it at the end. I genuinely thought they were making teriyaki chicken for someone else. What makes matters even worse is we arrived at the same time as another group and they sat at a different grill and the guy was phenomenal, he was genuinely putting on a show with fire sticks and music for the adults and the kids. I was literally telling my kids to watch the other guy. I'm just disappointed because you pay for the experience with the meal and you get 1-star service for a 5-star price. On a positive note: I had noticed they repainted and made the restaurant feel and look cleaner so that was nice.
Way overpriced for the quality of food. I placed an order for pick up. I paid $70 for 2 hibachi with fried rice, chicken/shrimp and filet mignon/shrimp. I only got 2 pieces of filet mignon in my meal. One piece was kinda big and looked like fat. They were very chewy. It looked like a poor cut of meat. The shrimp were so small- like salad shrimp (which cost $13 more to add). My husband’s chicken was cut rather large and were dry. The miso soup had no flavor. I would have went to Taco Bell and paid $20 instead. Also- when I picked up the food and had it in my car, it didn’t even have a good smell- it smelled like “dirty kitchen” or had a “dirty carpet” smell- at first I thought that was my imagination, but after seeing my food and eating it- it kinda makes sense. I should have taken before pics, but I didn’t… but here’s my 1 out of 2 pieces of my “filet mignon”.
If I could give my atmosphere a -10 I would . The food was great and my waitress was too until I’m watching one of the waiters with braids young guy biting his nails and start spitting them into the air! Like are you serious?! He on his phone just scrolling biting his names spitting towards the drink fountain then in front of him . Then he start touching stuff behind the counter like ewwwww. I was disgusted. I informed my waitress because it’s unsanitary. To each its own at this point .
The nami restaurant in temple was my first and last time. The servers were very unorganized. Like any other place we told we had to wait for the complete party to arrive. Once everyone arrived they were notified twice before being seated it wasn't like they were busy they were walking around talking to other working staff. The servers were very unorganized the 7 meals was prepared as usual in front of us. But the other 3 we were told would be 15 minutes late and were being prepared in the back. We waited while the 7 other parties ate their food. Well 15 minutes turned into 30 then to 45 and finally after all others were finished eating we asked again. The server became very unprofessional with us and informed us that they were working on our 3 orders in the back. Well this of course turned into an argument with a 20 year old server who was trying to justify the delay. Finally 1 hour later we just told the server to make the 3 orders to go everyone else was done eating. This restaurant was very unorganized and poorly ran that I would not recommend 😕 anyone to go. Then to top it off the orders that took an hour were nasty the rice and steak didn't taste good and the noodles with rice was N A S T Y!!! The 3 orders were thrown away to say the less. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE AND WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
We’ve gone to Nami in Belton for years and the food has always been delicious. However, the last few times we’ve been the food has been VERY bland and undercooked!!! The bathroom has been dirty and smells awful. I don’t think we’ll be going back again.
I witnessed something very disturbing a couple weeks ago. Mike the manager openly talking to a server like she was dirt. It is clear that he is this type of person and I’m sure if he is behaving like this in front of customers, it is 10 times worse behind closed doors. This is the definition of a hostile work environment and ownership needs to handle this immediately. I will not be visiting this establishment again and neither should you.
This is ridiculous, called to place order and asked for medium namis soup with vegetables as listed on the menu, and order of California rolls and rice. Price was decent $21 something not a problem. Honestly thought it was over $30. But the soup is a joke! Opened it and thought it wow they’ve said we are out. 🤣
