Being new to Johnston County we searched for a pizza business that offered cauliflower crust. Thank goodness that Papa's Subs & Pizza offers it. I can continue eating pizza from time to time since I'm a Type 1 diabetic. Yousef was very friendly and answered any and every question asked. I felt bad for him since he was working by himself. Papa's has a Help Wanted sign in the front window. Anyone looking to make some extra money, come check Papa's out.
I ordered 2 pepperoni strombolis 1 calzone, chicken alfredo with mushrooms pasta and garlic nuts. The price was fair the food portions were too and the food was delicious. Normally for a mom & pop pizza shops most think that the food portions are plentiful compared to the commercial stuff. The reality is these guys are trying to stay in business & times are rough. They do deliver, so you don't have to door dash. Thanks guys!
We got delivery from Papa's since it was a busy Saturday for us at Ashley's Furniture. Even though a pizza was forgotten when I went to pick it up, the gentleman at the counter with a sick beard (might I add in) helped me by - not only - by remaking our GF pizza but also threw in some jokes and free dessert breadsticks. Thanks Papa's for amazing pizza as usual and the customer service!!!

I’ve been coming to papas for years and hands down, it is the best pizza in all of NC. It’s the closest I’ve ever had to the pizza in Italy. Everything is made fresh - the dough and the sauce - so you know it’s great quality. The staff is always super friendly and I’ve never had an issue here. I recommend the meat and veggie supreme pizza. Also they offer a cauliflower and gluten free pizza crust that is surprisingly very good! The baked ziti is also to die for 🤤
Thank Goodness for this place. After Grubhub stood us up we were unsurprisingly hungry. So we called Papa's and had food delivered in 30 minutes. Thank you! Not only did we get food but it was piping hot and delicious. You want garlic knots? You get GARLIC knots. Fries? Crunchy and tasty. And the cheese bread? I wish I had a bigger stomach to eat it all. Great value. Great food. Would've given 10 stars if I could.
The pizza is delicious and genuinely Italian. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. You can literally request to have your pizza created any way you desire. (I'm from NY and let me tell you their thin crust pizza is the BEST, It’s truly authentic.) Also, the staff is super friendly and very attentive to whatever you request. You can tell they use fresh ingredients and make everything from scratch daily. Not to mention their sanitation score is consistently 100%! Seriously what food place can maintain that! I can't recommend this place enough!!
The food is great and the delivery is fast. only reason I did not give it 5 stars is they do not have an italian sausage sub yet, I am trying to get them to add it to the list.
Supreme Calzone was big in size and decently priced. Sauce just tasted like tomatoes, filling was tasty and dough was just dough.Really liked that establishment had a spread of additional spices to season food to better suit individuals' taste buds. Customer service was good as well.
We ordered two pizzas on the way back from an event to pick up and take back to the campsite with us. They said it would be 20 minutes. We were 13 minutes away so we stopped for gas and arrived at the 25 minute mark. They were just then making our pizza. Staff was snarky when we joked that was our pizza they were just now making. Denied it was and didn't acknowledge it when he boxed it and handed it over. Be humble and kind, it's free and will get you more business. We'll find something else in the area next time. Pizza was pretty good but nothing super special.
It’s a decent place if don’t mind paying a premium price for next to nothing. I’ve been there 2 times same experience as the first and will be my last. Try it for yourself and you be the judge. Food tastes ok. More ingredients on a frozen pizza from the IGA and 4 times the price.
Great Pizza—other things need help! Pizza is fabulous. I ordered lasagna and there was NO ricotta cheese. Lots of sauce (very good sauce) overt a little bit of flat pasta noodles topped with a little bit of mozzarella but there was NO ricotta cheese!! I also previously ordered a sub. The flavor was great and the bread was fresh. However the amount of actual meat on the sub was very minimal.
Poor quality wings and average tasting pizza. No crisp to the crust at all. Bready.
Make sure you check your order before leaving this place or you might not get what you ordered, as I come to find out. For one, they got my hot sandwich wrong, and then I checked my pizza for the extra cheese I paid for, and apparently they must have dusted it with cheese. I am so disappointed in them. I won't order pizza from them again unless I want to chew on leather. I took a picture of the pizza for you to try and find the runny cheese I had expected.
Ordered a Gyro with no tomatoes. It came with tomatoes, but had no onions or oregano.

Been coming here for years and ordered delivery 100s of times. Never again will I support this business. We came in to eat one-night and my wife ordered a sub. 1st half of sub had what looked to be an eyelash in it. No big deal, took it to the front and politely told them it had a hair in it. They acted like they couldn't see it. That's cool it was an eyelash so understandable. I pointed it out and they kindly made another one. Received the new half of sub and yet again another hair. This time a little longer like a beard hair. Several of the cooks had long beards ( could have been a beard hair ) no clue. Again I know this wasn't on purpose and took the sub back up front. This time I said keep it and I didn't want a replacement. The manager threw his hands up saying he couldn't see the hair again. I didn't ask for money back or to replace the sub after the 2nd hair was found. This so called manager got an attitude with me because he said he doesn't understand how they keep getting in there ( like we were putting them in there trying to get a free meal). I'm grateful that my wife came in to stop the boiling situation after putting our daughter in the truck. I will forever do my best to stop friends and family in the community from supporting this business. 1000's of dollars spent in the past but will never get a dime in the future from me. Owners you won't make it much longer with this guy working for you that's for sure.
Every time I order from here, something is always missing or wrong. It used to be not getting the marinara sauce with the garlic knots several times but now it's gone further than just sauce. I ordered and paid for 2 large 2 topping pizzas for pickup only to receive 2 mediums. When brought to their attention they would fix it, they took the 2 medium pizzas back and I waited longer for the pizzas to be remade. Not only did I not get my 2 large pizzas, but they turned around and gave me back the 2 medium pizzas I had previously gave back and just added another medium pizza. I would have sent it back but my children were hungry and I was already running behind because I had to wait for them to fix it only for them to not fix it. I order from here way too much my kids say but after this you have lost a loyal customer!!!
I ordered delivery today around 1pm. I didn’t get my order until 2:30. That’s way too long and I live like 3 minutes away. I ordered 6 wings extra crispy and extra wet and my wings were dry and barely any sauce on them and I also got garlic knots and they were also dry with hardly any butter and garlic and there was only 5 when I paid for 6 knots! A lot of sauce spilled all over inside the bag they put it in and the delivery driver still gave it to me while it was leaking.. very disappointing. My pizza barely had pepperoni on it and I paid an extra 1.50 to have pepperoni on my pizza and it barely had any on it. I’ve ordered food from here a few times and every time I do they always get something wrong with my order. I will no longer order from here again. This was the last straw for me. They are too expensive for the kind of food they are serving and stingy with ingredients. If I’m paying extra money to have my food done a certain way then I expect to get what I pay for! The drivers should be more careful with people’s food so that it is delivered properly without anything spilling. If I could rate this a zero I would! Never again ordering from here.
THIS is a “Stromboli”… FYI to anyone ordering, they do not serve a stromboli although it is on their menu. It is a calzone without ricotta. Strombolis are rolled, baked and filled. This was a sad deflated calzone that barely had anything in the top half. Incredibly disappointing. Take it off the menu if you dont actually offer it. Not just falsely advertised but also completely underwhelming. Yuck. The FIRST time this happened I thought it was a mistake, this time I called and it was confirmed the stromboli is a calzone. If something this simple is so off base at a pizza place I would hate to see what else is not as advertised.
Food is fine. But when their delivery driver hit my car in the parking lot and tried to leave like it was no big deal that’s a little issue, then tell them inside and the staff is like oh it’s nothing don’t worry about it. Nope that is not they to respond to that. Still not even an apology from the driver or the staff inside. Older guy (I assume the owner or manager because the driver kept saying my boss) just kept saying oh it’s nothing don’t worry about the damage. That’s completely unprofessional. Hope they don’t hit anything in your yard while they deliver because it’s not big deal to them if they damage your property. So never again will I do business with them.
