Very interesting experience, I had already been there some time ago, this is different from the first experience, the atmosphere is restaurant-like but also beautiful, the staff very kind and helpful, excellent dishes from appetizer to dessert, as for the price, I can't say, because it was an invitation, quality and price are acceptable, I think I will repeat the experience as soon as possible.
Spacious space, suitable for groups. Excellent service. Excellent food. Reservations recommended.
This restaurant serves traditional dishes like kidney, snails, and fried porcini mushrooms. They specialize in fried frogs, but they also serve them in many other ways. The only downside is that the atmosphere, at least when I was there, was a bit chilly. To warm us up, they drank almost two liters of the house sparkling red wine.
A typical old-school restaurant. Every dish is homemade, the food is exceptional (their own jardiniere is amazing), and the value for money is incredible. The service is friendly and fast. There aren't many places like this left, and it's a real shame.
In a small village nestled in the Milanese plain lies Ristorante Torradello, known for one of its most unique specialties: frogs. We chose a lunch entirely dedicated to this ingredient, starting with an excellent frog risotto, followed by exquisite fried frogs, and finally, baked sea bream with potatoes. Everything was simply divine. The frogs were truly delicious, cooked with great care and flavor. The atmosphere is refined, clean, and welcoming. The service was impeccable: the waiters were knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely polite. The price is absolutely reasonable for the quality offered. I will definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for something different, in a genuine and relaxed atmosphere.
Nice restaurant with friendly staff. We ate risotto with frogs and fried frogs, everything was excellent. I expected the baked stuffed vegetables to be au gratin instead they were soft, but the quality of the product was still noticeable. Very good still white wine in bulk. We recommended this place to a friend who went there immediately the next day and confirmed our impression despite having had other dishes. We recommended it, we will recommend it again and we will definitely return.
Best food Very friendly Family operated Super clean They eat same food they serve to the customers .
This is a very atypical restaurant. Most of their dishes are frog based and they are delicious! The service is perfect and the waiter/owner is courteous and always available.
Great Restaurant, delicious food, friendly service.
Good morning, we were at this trattoria restaurant last night. It received the highest rating because we chose the local specialty: fried frog appetizer, frog and parmesan risotto for the first course, and frog stew for the second course. All three dishes were excellent in flavor and taste. We paired them with the pleasant house white wine and finished with coffee and dessert. The service was quick and courteous, very friendly, and the bill was fair at €25 per person. We were satisfied!
Posto molto suggestivo ed accogliente. Cameriere molto simpatiche e bellissime, soprattutto la mora un po' gotica (se leggi questo è Instagram gj_alen). Cibo a dir poco squisito, risotto eccezionale.…
Discovered by chance given its location, but certainly well-known given the number of customers present. The welcome was exquisite, and the quality and price were excellent.
Typical restaurant in the Pavia countryside. Frog specialty. First course: risotto with frogs, delicious. Second course: sea bream with potatoes and duck with blueberries. Very characteristic, but the duck was especially good. We then had a taste of fried frogs, since frogs are their specialty. House dessert was okay. They don't have a large wine list, but perhaps that's better, although a few more labels wouldn't hurt. Adequate price. If the parking lot is full, you can park on the street next to the restaurant or nearby. Friendly and attentive staff.
Restaurant serving traditional, but unfortunately not very popular, dishes like frogs and snails. The carpione was excellent, and the frog risotto was very good. I didn't like the duck with blueberries, however... I expected it to be sweet with jam, but instead it was very tart, with lots of currants. The dessert was excellent. The service was prompt, although I found it unpleasant to see the waiters constantly under the watchful eye of the owner. The restaurant is spacious and elegant, despite the excellent prices.
A traditional country inn with an "antique" style. Many frog dishes are available (risotto, fried frogs, omelettes, etc.), all delicious. Alternatively, you can enjoy the specials of the day; for example, I opted for the delicious hand-made braids with wild boar sauce, which were delicious. The desserts were also delicious. The staff were friendly and the place was super clean; definitely worth a try!
Arriving, it might seem a bit pricey from the outside, as the saying goes, but it's equally true: never be fooled by appearances. There are two large dining rooms, and you eat what's available; there's no real menu. The friendly waiters explain the options, and from there you decide what to eat. Typical local cuisine, such as Pavese, frogs and snails in season, and excellent fish and meat options. Excellent value. Approximately €45 per person for an appetizer, a first course, a second course with side dish, dessert, and drinks.
Overall, frogs were good but seemed a little too expensive. I definitely recommend it if you like fried little bones
We are in the presence of a restaurant that has existed and operated continuously for 109 years. It's clear that, given the number of generations that have contributed to this figure, it deserves respect, and obviously with a different focus than one is accustomed to. In a place like this, you'll come primarily to sample diverse, home-made flavors, such as frogs and snails, even though the raw ingredients are generally unquestionable in terms of quality and flavor. The large, square spaces don't allow for any attention to detail in the dining rooms, which are nevertheless pleasant thanks to the decidedly large tables and vintage tableware. The very friendly waiters offer verbal recommendations based on the day's cuisine and don't provide any paperwork, but instead manage the customer's tastes as best they can. The fifth star isn't awarded due to the truly minimal selection of dishes available, even considering everything, and, in my case, the uncompetitive quality-price ratio, but it should be noted that I went on the weekend. Definitely a recommended experience, but not a memorable one.
