I got the matcha green eye drink with oat milk and sugar free vanilla syrup. I honestly loved it because it wasn’t too sweet and the only sweetener in the matcha was the sugar free vanilla syrup which was perfect for me. It also has two shots of expresso which taste so refreshing. Overall it was a nice and relaxing place, and my drink was great.

I had a hot cafe au late with a ciabatta sandwich that had bacon eggs and spinach was delicious.. i was going to add a shot of espresso to my coffee because everywhere else taste like milk here it’s perfect, i can actually taste the coffee.

I love this place. It's actually crazy but me and my roommates have gone here like 4 times in a week, just for the wide variety of delicious drinks. The matcha drinks are great, the coffee drinks are really great, and the protein coffee makes me feel good on the inside (and tastes pretty good). My all time favorite drink is the Dark mocha, because of the chocolate flavor I get, which is just unmatched compared to any other cafe. It's amazing. Definitely use Snackpass for the discount during happy hour if you can, the drinks can get a little pricy :)

Solid find. New coffee spot that opened in April 2022. Fast wifi, clean bathrooms, GREAT customer service and definitely not least awesome bagel sandwich and drinks. I got an egg & cheese bagel on cheddar jalapeño with avocado and veggies. Superb choice 👌 Take ✌️ with the blueberry muffin.

I love to try local and new coffee shops in the east bay and Gold Bean Cafe did not disappoint. The setting is beautiful and great customer service, they have a wide variety of drinks and food to order all which look phenomenal. I opted for the famous egg and cheese with bacon, and a dulce de leche iced latte both were less than 18$ and worth the price. If you haven’t tried it yet get yourself some great coffee and a wonderful breakfast bagel.

Gold Bean Cafe is my girlfriend and I favorite local cafe. A great place to stop at before heading to the saturday farmers market. With a really friendly, top notch group of people working here. The horchata cold brew is my new favorite coffee, after trying it for the first time here.(Horchata made in house) Their bagels are really good and make for some of the best breakfast sandwiches in town! The muffins are always moist and delicious as well!

Tried their oat horchata cold brew and dulce de leche latte, both were great drinks. If you’re adventurous go for their cold brew and if you have a sweet tooth get the latte. Super sweet people and the service is really quick too. There are tables to enjoy your order while studying. Plus, they have free Wi-Fi. Awesome place near campus! ^^

This is my new coffee spot in Berkeley. Family owned/operated and they treat every customer like they’re a welcomed member of the family. Make sure to try their horchata cold brew…it’s the one! Plenty of tasty bagels and baked goods for your morning fuel too.

I just went in to pick up my order, but the aesthetic was so clean and cute! My drink was ready in such a short time which was amazing. I enjoyed my drink but wished the menu offered some cafe staples, like strawberry matcha, though that may be a personal preference. Overall, quite nice.

coffee flavours are awesome but why are they so milky? i got the Spanish latte and the taste was amazing but 1) espresso was at the bottom, should always be milk first and 2) I could barely see any coffee tainting the drink, it looked white like it was just almond milk. i was unsure if two shots were actually included The veggie bagel with avocado and cc and tomato is amazing. I would love to try more drinks but this is the second time I have gone and for some reason the coffee looked like it barely had any in there

really good coffee. great roast on the beans. i got a ice mild pink foam latte. Sweetness comes from oat milk and foam. really nice slow vibe music.

I love the atmosphere here, but I had a small issue with my order today. I ordered a pistachio matcha, but they were out, so I got a regular matcha instead. Unfortunately, I wasn’t offered a refund or adjustment for the price difference, and when I brought it up, I felt ignored. Hoping this can be handled better in the future!

great atmosphere and music selection perfect for studying, but SO expensive. $17 for a regular bread chicken sandwich :(. Def not that affordable for independent college students. matchas are okay but kinda watered down.

Got the seasonal flavors and it did not taste like what it was described as. Dark Chocolate Peppermint & White Chocolate Peppermint both did not have any peppermint flavoring in them. Just tasted like sweet syrup. No coffee, no peppermint. Very disappointed. If you’re looking for a strong coffee taste, this is not the place but if you like syrup tasting & light coffee flavor then I would say this would be okay.

I walked into coffee place as i was in the neighborhood, and thought it was a normal cute spot to a grab a quick coffee. Little did I know it was not quick and there was no coffee in my vanilla latte. I waited 25 minutes after ordering from a very confusing kiosk. My whole drink tasted super watered down, it was all ice, and the milk seemed to be off. I asked the barista who was super nice and apologetic. She offered another one but considering of my drink i did not want another one and did not want to wait another 20 minutes for a simple vanilla latte, she could refund, but also was so overwhelmed by the kiosk orders she couldn’t really help me. I get the kiosks are faster for ordering but not really if i have to wait 20 minutes for my drink because baristas are overwhelmed by the kiosk orders. Wouldn’t recommend, if you want a normal cafe experience with good coffee. But also can’t really blame the baristas the kiosk systems seems super overwhelming for them and the time it took was not worth it in the end.

I was able to ask a barista about which drinks were recommended since it was my first time. The extremely nice barista told me her recommendation for the Iced dulce de leche latte so I decided to go with that. I added the pink foam (was told it was a vanilla flavor). Waited a good amount of time and got my latte. Upon my 1st sip, I couldn't believe how sweet it was.. Like pure caramel.. So much that it was warm and this was an iced drink if that even makes sense. I tried to stir it around but it was just a sugary mess. There a zero taste of coffee. Like did they forget the espresso?! I was highly disappointed. Not only because of the hype on IG but also because I came from so far! I stopped at whole Foods on my way back to Hayward and bought a can of black unsweetened coffee to try and cut the sweetness. It helped a tiny bit but it just was gross if I'm being honest. So I threw it away. I guess you win some and you lose some in the world of cafes but for a $9 cup of coffee, this isn't somewhere that I'd return to! The employees were nice enough but the lack of interaction is just not my favorite either. Maybe this is the future of all businesses but I sure hope not and I guess it makes me glad I was born when I was.. I miss the days of actual human interaction and conversation while ordering. Regardless of that though.. The drink was really subpar. And if you're looking for your drink to actually taste like there's coffee in it, I might skip the dulce de leche latte.

consistently mangles your delivery order, informs your delivery driver that they ‘can’t make food’ (a bold position for a restaurant to take) then neither refunds the missing items nor removes said imaginary food from the delivery apps. an avant-garde dining experience sung to the tune of fraud. absolutely not.
