Just out with my pals Headbuster and BangBang following the pings on the tracking device I had hidden on the Dropdeck Scalljumper that someone accidentally borrowed from my barn up in Grillhaven last night, and they lead me to Shattuck ave, and then disappeared. So, I'll grab a couple of sandwiches from Crave Subs, after all they're the best deli in Crazy Town, and wait for the pings to come back. 5 stars all the way.☆☆☆☆☆

Just dropped in here for my first time and OMG am I blown away. Got the regular "Bart Simpson" from the "Cravin' on a budget menu". Not only was it amazing, but HOLY COW has it become hard to find food that's both good and filling when funds and time are tight. This hit every mark for me. Best of all, they throw our local students some love with "Meatless Mondays", I believe it was something like 15% off of veg items. Whatever the case, this isn't just a really good restaurant with good people and good food. This is a legitimate RESOURCE our community needs. Y'all get out there and support support support them so they can keep these good deals going! P.s. Sammy is only a little smooshed from how I carried it home, that's on me. Lol

TLDR: Overall: My top place to eat at Berkeley My Order: Usually Tom & Jerry, Chicken Little, or Patrick Star - all are very good. Dutch Crunch is my go-to Price Breakdown: Usually $16-$17 per sub. A bit pricey, but they do not skimp on the meat and the portions are huge! Portions: One normal sized sub is so incredibly filling, I'm either stuffed or I end up with left overs. Halal/Vegetarian Friendly: Meat is halal and they have vegetarian/vegan options. Would get again: 100% absolutely, I have to physically restrain myself from coming here every day. This place is absolutely phenomenal, I would eat here all the time if I could. I've already been here more timrd than I can count. Halal with so many options, and the subs are so juicy and addicting! Anytime a friend visits Berkeley, I take them here by default and each of them have begged to come back. Definitely a messy eat and a bit on the pricier side, but with the portion size and how flavorful each sub is, it is absolutely worth it. The balance of the tang, sweet, and savory is perfect every time yet varied enough that it feels like a fresh experience every visit. Will note that the wait time is usually a bit long, I either order first and then hang out at Half Price or order on snackpack abt 15 minutes before I get there. The shop itself is very vibey and uniquely comic book themed, making this such a fun spot to visit.

Delicious, mouth-watering halal subs. Lots of variety. It is located near Berkeley campus. We ordered a Grogu, an Ed, Edd, and Eddy, and a Crave Reuben. We also ordered the curly fries. It was about $75 total for the meal for three. It's a bit on the pricier side, but everything was amazing. PLUS: There's a yummy ice cream shop that shares the same location.

I recently visited Crave Subs and was blown away by their amazing sandwiches,crepes and ice-cream options! The menu is packed with mouthwatering subs made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the flavors are absolutely delicious. Whether you're craving a classic sub or something more gourmet, they’ve got you covered. But the real surprise? Their crepes and ice cream are next-level amazing! I have not tried the crepes but what I see in the menu and the varieties tjey have just amazing. I did little peak on people orders and they look yummy. I tried theIce cream which is rich, creamy, and full of flavor. It’s the perfect way to end a meal—or even make it the main event which one of my daughter ❤️ did. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and every bite was pure satisfaction. If you love sandwiches, crepes, or ice cream (or all three!), Crave Subs is a must-visit. Highly recommend—I’ll definitely be back for more! A delicious paradise for halal subs, gourmet crepes, and ice cream.

We just stumbled across this place while visiting Berkeley. Stopped in for lunch. Got a medium sub. There were a lot of choices. I didn’t realize how thick the subs were could’ve went with a 4 inch added a bag of chips and a drink. The service was very good. They were very nice when we got in thereand answered questions about the menu.

Crave Subs is one of my favorite go-to Vegan Sub-Sandwich spots when in the area. The regular size over the large is already Ginormous & you'll be filled / 'stuffed' if you're able to finish the whole Sub!! Always fresh & on point w/ the flavors!

These are great sandwiches! I now have a great option for pickup before the football games! The size of the sandwiches are very reasonable. The curly fries are fantastic. The menu have meat, veggie, vegan options and is very straightforward.

So I was in Berkeley craving a sandwich and I saw this sandwich spot called Crave. So I thought let's see if they have the sandwich I was craving. And by golly did they. Big heavy sandwich with mad flavor, yummy Dutch crunch roll, and a happy mess of sauces that caused quite a few napkins to be absolutely obliterated. Total Nerd-core vibe with sandwiches named after 90's cartoon characters and comic books fixed to the wall. A definite go to for anyone seeking a filling sandwich exploding in flavor.

Did an on line order, and was ready in 15 minutes. The bathrooms and store front is nice and clean. I got the vegan goku on sourdough and my wife got the shaggy we both enjoyed our them out after a short drive to tilden park. Parking right in front and close to the uc Berkeley.

2/21/22- Stopped by after spending the day in Downtown Berkeley. BART station is underground here. Arrived at about 7pm, the close at 8pm. Wasn't very busy, so was able to place my order and received it after about 10 mins from ordering. Had my Beast Boy sandwich on Sourdough and it was toasted to a nice crunch. The sandwich was tasty and filling. It has a comic/cartoon theme.

This place is a 10/10. We got the fried chicken sandwich with Korean bbq sauce and coleslaw. It was amazing! Messy to eat but so so good. Their signature sauce is delicious. The atmosphere is cute with comic books on the wall. They share the space with an ice cream shop. Service was fast and friendly. We had the French bread which was soft.

There are better options in the Berkeley area and I suggest spending your time and money there. Overall 3/10 experience.

It's like they took inspiration for their design from tik tok or an AI tool absolutely horrendous. The menu was hard to look at it. So many colors everywhere. Literally an overwhelming experience. I tried to get past that ugly shop and decided to order something. I got the loaded fries and they were DISGUSTING. They were so salty and they had no flavor whatsoever. It just tasted terrible. I really dont recommend this place to anyone. Their sandwhiches aren't too bad but they aren't spectacular as well.
