the margherita pizza is so delicious. i literally only order it everytime, to the point that they know my name with my order HAHA. super authentic, delicious, and the staff are really friendly as well. I'm lucky to be able to go as often as I do, and i love the food here so much!!
It was all delicious. It’s pretty over priced unfortunately. Here’s what we got- Little Gem salad: crisp, small portion, but tasty Meatballs: the white sauce drizzle was great, I wish there was more of it. Napolitana pizza with mozzarella: light and tasty, I recommend adding the cheese (though it is 5 dollars extra) Pasta with beans: (I forgot the name) very comforting and packed with protein. House red and white: we enjoyed the white more than the red. Overall, I will be back, just with a little more in my stomach and a little more in my wallet too!
Our Italian friend recommended and took us to this place, so you know the pizzas here are pretty legit. We didn’t even realize the pizzas are gluten-free until we read the reviews. The servers were friendly, but the place is super busy. So we waited for a while to make the order and get our food.
Lucia's, a charming small Italian restaurant, truly impressed me during my recent visit. I decided to try their Neapolitan pizza with anchovies and burrata cheese, and it was exceptional. The Italian colleagues I dined with vouched for the authenticity of the pizza and other foods, which made the experience even more delightful. Before the main course, we enjoyed a plate of calamari as an appetizer, and it was perfectly cooked - tender and flavorful. In addition to the delectable food, I was pleased to discover that they offer a selection of alcoholic beverages, including beer and wine, which complemented the meal nicely. The service was excellent, with friendly and accommodating servers who were happy to provide recommendations and answer any questions. Despite the restaurant's small size, it had a cozy and intimate atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a romantic dinner or a gathering with friends. One thing to note is that Lucia's popularity was evident as the restaurant was full even on a Thursday night. It's a testament to their delicious food and inviting atmosphere, so I highly recommend making a reservation to secure a table. I look forward to returning to Lucia's to explore more of their menu and savor their delightful Italian dishes.
Was easy to get seated on a Sunday afternoon but watch out for pre and post show crowds from nearby venues. Crust was sublime. We had the Norma and the topping combo was very good. Couple of good vegetarian options. Aperol spritzes were also refreshing.
The gluten free pizza was phenomenal! The dough was soft and bendable yet had some crunch. The flavors were fresh and bright.
First time I had Lucia's pizza was at their pop up at the Grand Lake farmers market in oakland, and completely fell in love with the 4 cheese pizza! Decided to try the restaurant a couple of months ago and the didn't disappoint! Pizza was delicious and staff were super nice and friendly! Totally recommend them if you're looking to have a legit Italian pizza experience!
We booked Lucia’s PIZZA TRUCK for a lawn party in the presidio and they were AMAZING. Easy to work with, great price, and all the food was so good, from salads and appetizers to wood fired pizzas. They were so gracious to make gluten free and vegan pizzas on request. Our guests loved them.

I was up on Shattuck at the Pillerbox Auditorium for day 1 of the 5 day Rickin-Sticktillian Debate, and Lecture on the pitfalls of attending any of the UC campuses particularly UC Berkeley! Being just right around the corner from the restaurant Lucia's of Berkeley was a huge bonus because I could just walk over there and leave the trunk parked in Hobo John's driveway. I'll tell you..it was a big surprise to see a 1%er motorcycle club running the security there, but not as big of a surprise as the chicken pasta in alfredo sauce I enjoyed from Lucia's kitchen..it was Amazing. 5 stars all day long. ☆☆☆☆☆

Love Lucia’s! Their pizza and pastas are delicious. Also consistently the best tiramisu around! This time we came only for a drink and dessert at the bar and they were very kind and the atmosphere lovely as always.
Delicious food. Tasty drinks. Friendly bartender. We did not have reservations, but we're able to sit at the bar. Amazing gluten free pizza! My husband is Celiac and we decided it was safe to eat the pizza here because of their protocols and attention to cross contact.
The food was really good. The standouts were the Calamari Fritti, Caponatta, and the Cosacca. The Ruccola was the only dish that felt flat, but tasted fresh. Service was good and we luckily did not need a reservation. Would definitely return and it's recommended!
We ordered the brussels sprouts as an appetizer, they were delicious. My wife and I each ordered a personal pizza, I feel like they were almost watery. As soon as you picked up a slice, it dropped down and all the toppings fell off.

Exploring more restaurants thanks to Restaurant Week! Food was all okay, and service was good. Calamari was tasty but not crispy. The vegan pizza was interesting and had good flavor but was soggy that and had to be rolled to be picked up. (Maybe because it's vegan?) Notably, there is a 20% service charge instead of gratuity. This was no problem because service was good (we always had drinking water!) and that is reasonable. The server also pointed out this service charge upon bringing the check- I appreciate them being upfront. There was no line on the receipt for a tip, so it didn't feel like you were being tricked into tipping twice. I hope this is also stated on the menu though. Pros: good service, parking deck one block away Cons: mediocre food, mediocre/slightly high prices for the area
The food was good, honestly alright for the area, but the price on the personal pizza for the size you get is outrageous. You’ll realize this once you compare it to other pizza restaurants in the area (🌹). It was about $40 a person.
You know that feeling when all you want is a good red sauce pasta? That is exactly what we got. The only reason I don’t give it more than 3 is because I agree with the other reviews on price. 25 for a personal size pizza is insane. You can go to Jupiter or Cheeseboard for a quality pizza and almost double the size.

I would have given 5 stars if they had a vegan pasta dish. While I commend them for having vegan cheese and impossible meat for their pizza, it was disappointing to not be able to have 2 different dishes for a party of 2 vegans who spent over $100 on dinner. They list a pesto pasta dish as “V” but that means vegetarian here (confusing). It so easy to use vegan Parmesan and most people can’t even tell the difference.
The pastas were good that my 2 friends and I ordered but the atmosphere is unpleasant. Dim, crowded, and so noisy. I don’t want to have to basically yell for the person sitting next to me to hear me over dinner.

The pizzas are very flavorful and not oily. The service is also really nice and very friendly. It’s just absurdly expensive for a non-fine dining restaurant, like $14 for a tiny plate of appetizer and $25 for a personal sized pizza. Ended up spending $40 per person for just two people, I have no idea how Google Maps lists the place as $20-30.

We started by ordering the meatball tapas which was $14 for only 6 tiny one-bite meatballs. They tasted alright but $14 for 6 bites was absurdly overpriced. For the main course, we had the bolognese and the vongole clam pasta. The bolognese was nothing special, and was also extremely overpriced at $25. The vongole clam pasta was flavorless, used store-bought pasta and had undercooked clams. The clams tasted super fishy and were mushy in texture. When we brought this up with the server, she was very unaccommodating and condescending. Overall, this place is very overpriced for very mediocre food and service. Would not recommend.
I ordered the Vongole pasta for over 20 dollars and it was such a disappointment. The pasta was really bland and honestly tasted like pasta water + butter. For the amount I paid, it was also crazy to me that it was not fresh pasta (had a box pasta taste). Worst of all, the clams were really fishy. Complained to the waiter but she was aggressive and gave mean looks. Do NOT recommend.
Were do I start. Had reservations. Sat us wrong so moved us after 10mins. Waitress was nice. Fries were scraps and fried in old oil, bartender did not know a easy drink, pizza crust was paper thin and part burnt. Tried to pass off corn beef as Italian sausage, and the spicy oil to drizzle was also going bad. To top off they spent more time putting together to go call in orders before seated customers, so service was slow. And FYI high top seating lol is tall table.
