I come here once a week at least, I’m a big fan of the poutine and my girlfriend gets the wraps. They’re always so delicious, the cheese curds absolutely melt in your mouth with. The gravy has me licking the box. It’s THAT good. One time my girlfriend asked for no onions and we had to give it back, but they whipped us up a new one free of charge and he even cut it in half to show there isn’t any onions. If you come here get the poutine with less than hot. You will not regret it. My favorite spot in all of Berkeley
The food tastes excellent and is very affordable, especially for how large the portions served are.
Authentic flavors & ingredients. Food was good & the service was nice too. Will be back inshallah.
I am in love with this place they are so kind and loyal and there food is amazing if i can i will give a million stars
I love the chicken shawarma plate!! They deserve 5 stars!
Got the extra hot chicken wrap with basics and fries with side of garlic sauce and SO GOOD! I love this place so much and will be coming more often now that ive moved
We have been looking for poutine in the bay area for a while and My O My does it right. Thick cut fries, lots of gravy, and real cheese curds! We ordered the chicken on the rocks/chicken platter as well and that was delicious. We will return. The service is great, the people working there are pleasant and accommodating with your orders and needs!
One of the best restaurants around the UC Berkeley campus. Quality, fresh tasting food and always hits the spot every time. A bit pricey for the portion size, but compared to the rest of Berkeley it’s 100% worth it. If you want fast, tasty Mediterranean food, this is the spot.
So yummy! I had a classic chicken shawarma wrap and everything from the bread to the meat and especially the sauce was delicious. The guys who work there are very kind and also efficient. Love the free toppings selection. I’d say this is my favorite new spot around campus!
Amazing service and even better food! Would recommend for anyone looking to try something new in the area.
I come here regularly and it’s one of the couple places in Berkeley I always take visiting family and friends to. Absolutely get the poutine, it’s incredible and the portion sizes are generous, I’ve never left hungry. The one thing is that the spice levels are really dependent on who’s making your food, so if you don’t have a high spice tolerance I’d be conservative with what level you order.
I come here at least once per week. The chicken on the rocks is very tasty. I just inhaled my whole bowl, yet again, and I'm totally satisfied. The counter staff is always polite. I like that I can walk in and order without having to go through an app.
Succulent fillings in crispy wraps bursting with flavours. Each byte is a perfect combination of taste and texture. Staff is welcoming and service is efficient.
As a student at Berkeley this has been my go to restaurant. Amazing food and generous portions. Highly recommend
5/5 Stars – Amazing Food, Huge Portions & Great Prices! My-O-My is an absolute gem in Berkeley! The food is delicious, the service is fast, and the portions are huge—definitely a great bang for your buck. What I love most is how they cater to everyone, whether you're looking for healthy, diet-friendly options or a hearty, indulgent meal. The menu has such a great variety, making it perfect for groups with different tastes. If you're in the area, don't miss out—this place is a must-try! Did I mention it’s halal!!
This is my favorite resteraunt in Berkley. They give huge portions for the mixed platter. with side salad. Repeat customer
My-O-My is easily the best Shawarma spot in the Bay Area. Most of the other shawarma restaurants in the Bay are too bland for my taste. D’Yar and Oasis were my go to for Shawarma in Berkeley, and the Bay Area in general, but My-O-My is on another level. My-Oh-My has bold flavors and many options. I got a on the sticks(Fries) and had to come back to try the on the rocks(Rice). Next time I will get the wrap. Poutine was very good. Last time I had poutine was at the old Smokes near UCB and this was significantly better. Crispy fries, nice gravy and delicious cheese. We are lucky to have a spot like this nearby. Update: Been back a few times and still love My-O-My. Tried some of the different menu items and I gotta say I love it all. Also some of the best fresh humus I’ve ever had.
AMAZING food (⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎)❤️ I like their spice and the good ingredients quality! They provide free water and the vibe inside is chill. I like how they didn't turn on crazy AC so you feel nature and homie as your home. The restroom is clean and the staff are nice :D Its going to be one of my go-to restaurants on Euclid now! *they also have vegetarian options *can customize sides and spicy level
NOW FEATURING GARLIC SAUCE. Bringing an absolutely ferocious shawarma game to the north half of the East Bay, brother Farhad and his crew, are serving up tender and delicious chicken, beef, slovaki, donar, and falafel shawarma, and wraps, with the crispiest fries I've had in a while. All the ingredients are very fresh, and I learned that the maple leaf in the logo is to honor the business founder, who is a cousin of Farhad, and their small family chain of shawarma restaurants, which have their origins in Canada. All good shawarma restaurants have to have a good sauce, and the garlic sauce here is killer. Not exactly like "Toum", the safflower oil based sauce with garlic and lemon that I'm addicted to, and not exactly like "Tzatziki", The strained yogurt sauce with herbs commonly found in a lot of Middle Eastern meat dishes, but a really nice combination of the both. Another thing to note, is that several different cuisines claim to have a particular meat which is supposed to be cooked on a spit. If it's not cooking on a spit, it's not really shawarma, and if it's not cooked on a spit it's not really Al Pastor, so I was happy to come in and talk with Farhad about his spit knowledge, and his desire to get an even bigger one. All in all, I'm in and out with the medium spicy, (mild to me) large chicken shawarma wrap, french fries, and a drink for just under $20, and thoroughly Happy about the experience. Highly recommended! NOTE, their spice chart tends to be a little on the mild side, so you can try with some of the upper levels. Their "medium hot" would be "mild hot" to someone used to eating Thai food. Also, you might want to tell them to go a little light on the salt or seasoning on the fries, while delicious, was just a tiny bit too much for me. I'll know next time, and there will definitely be in next time. Shukran jazilan, Farhad!
Super tasty and the service is fast! I ordered the regular sized mixed shawarma wrap (beef and chicken inside). It was so delicious and I plan to return!
they were out of fries so i got falafal half and half with salad and it was awesome. super flavorful, fresh and tasty. size small is pretty small but enough for one meal for me. would definitely come again to try the poutine
This is a perfect way for any student to get a quick lunch to go, or a resting stop as well. Try that chicken shawarma wrap if you can because that was TASTY. And the fries are a great addition if you can find some room!!! Phew
Extremely fast to get your food (never been longer than 5m. Last time was about 30 seconds) and it’s good. Staff are super nice
The customer service was warm and friendly, and the food was delicious. Everything tasted fresh and was clearly made with high-quality ingredients. I will certainly return when I am next in the area.

First time here: got the chicken bowl, half fries, half rice, just below medium heat, added pickles. Happy to say I just finished the whole thing. I wrote in my journal earlier today that I wanted a nourishing meal that satisfied my body with nutrients and satisfied my soul. This place did that for me in this time of need, I’m so serious. I feel a lot better after having eaten this and I’m going to use this energy to work my mind for the rest of the night, getting all the work I need to get done, done. So thank you, and Happy Ramadan.
I've had My-O-My a handful of times and never once had a bad experience. The service is amazing, the portions are huge (I had to share the medium beef half and half bowl with two family members because it was that filling, and you can't beat their prices. I recommend this place to everyone and genuinely believe it to be the best shawarma spot in the east bay. I'd post a pic of the food for possible customers as reference but I can't help but dive right in as soon as the hot plate reaches my hands. Also- the worker didn't make me feel dumb for asking the difference between the "on the rocks" and "on the sticks" menu options even though it was clearly written in front of me (sticks=fries, rocks= rice) :)
The food was good, but there was a significant delay with my Snackpass pickup. My order number was incorrectly labeled, causing the food to sit on the counter for over 20 minutes until I spoke up about not receiving my food three separate times. No compensation, just an apology. Update: I've came back multiple times. I love the food, and I haven't had an issue since! Would highly recommend.
Fries are delicious and very well seasoned. Portion size for the large option is a good amount. They actually add spice to the food, so go for mild or less if ur not good with spice.
Incredibly nice people, and great food. Got the Chicken on the Sticks and I can definitely tell why they are known for this. It’s incredibly delicious and I’ll definitely be eating here again. Also great pricing and a good variety of choices, but not too many where you get lost in their selection.
Easy food for a good price (in Berkeley at least). The chicken is flavorful and moist, unlike most other places with dry chicken! Definitely recommend if you're in the area, it's super quick and the portions are awesome!

Stick to the poutine, which is fantastic. The chicken shawarma wrap was fine, but not great. The fatoush salad is very basic - only lettuce, Parmesan, pita crouton, and dressing. Not bad, but nowhere worth the price. Unfortunately my order wasn’t taken correctly this time. I ordered a *large* chicken shawarma combo with garlic sauce, and got a *regular* chicken shawarma combo with *no* garlic sauce. Finally, keep in mind that the spiciness option runs much hotter than you’d expect (or maybe I just hit an inconsistent day). Order down a level or two if you’re used to other restaurants where “spicy” means medium and “mild” means zero. No points off for that since it’s super subjective.
The place is always busy, and rightfully so. The fries are delicious, and their chicken shawarma is amazing. They have good plate options that are made for various hunger and price levels, and the rice is decent. However, the meat has made me and my friends sick on occasion, but the food was so good that we kept going back. This place is my go to for shawarma in the area. They are fast and try their best, but it can be a struggle if you are in a rush. This is a place for a filling treat.

This used to be one of my favorite spots in Berkeley, but lately, both the food quality and service have gone downhill. I asked for a salad and rice half-and-half, but ended up with fries and rice instead. Additionally, the chicken had inedible bits, including small bones. I’ve noticed a decline in chicken quality multiple times over the past few months. On top of that, they’ve raised their prices after NY
A Disappointing Dining Experience at May O My I was quite let down by my recent visit to May O My in Berkeley, CA. The hype surrounding this restaurant didn't quite live up to the reality of my meal. The pricing felt excessive for the quality of the food. The combo plate was a particular disappointment. The rice flavor was mysteriously absent and cold, leaving me with greasy fries that seemed out of place with the Middle Eastern-inspired cuisine. The chicken were not upto standard warm and the lamb was overwhelmed by an excessive amount of sauce, masking its true flavor. Overall, I cannot recommend May O My based on my experience. The lack of warmth in the food and the questionable flavor profiles were major drawbacks. It's unfortunate that such a highly-rated restaurant fell short of expectations.

Beef poutine looks like vomit but tastes fine. The ranch is definitely not needed. They used generic cheese instead of actual cheese curds like authentic poutine.
I paid $11.45 for two falafel balls and a bowl of rice. The pricing is not worth it for the small "falafel on rocks". I would spend $11.45 elsewhere. The food itself tasted okay, not very tasty but not too bad. The people and atmosphere are great, no complaints there. Wouldn't go here as a vegetarian.
I like the concept, there’s never enough Mediterranean food places, but I think this place is a little confused of its identity— It’s Mediterranean and poutine. I came here because it was Mediterranean food, but after looking at the menu and trying a wrap, I was left desiring more thinking that this place probably specialized more in poutine. I tried the beef shawarma wrap and it wasn’t bad by any means, but it didn’t knock my socks off. The flatbread itself was 10/10, not many places have a thin flatbread like this. The toppings were customizable, but I felt like all the options were doing a little too much, and I just went with the basics. The beef shawarma was not bad, but it left me a little confused. I was expecting a nice sliced beef shawarma, but it was diced into little bits that would be most suitable for taco meat. Speaking of tacos, I felt it was a little over-seasoned, or perhaps incorrectly seasoned- it was very cinnamon forward… I’m familiar with Mediterranean cooking style, and I know they use warm spiced, but all I could taste was cinnamon flavor and there was no real depth of flavor to the seasoning. I felt that it could have been done this way purposefully to pair with the poutine gravy (which I haven’t tried) leading me to assume it’s more of a poutine restaurant than a Mediterranean spot. I think they went with both because poutine might have a harder time succeeding as a restaurant. Nonetheless, I saw good ratings so I tried it, but it didn’t really meet my culinary expectations. It’s a run of the mill “chipotle’fied” restaurant catered toward college kids. If was to go back I would try the regular poutine, or the chicken shawarma because the beef really didn’t hit the mark.

This place was good. Then it went bad. That's why they took a hit on Doordash. & Then maybe a month ago they were doing well. As soon as their stars hit Gold on Doordash, they went bad again. Went bad I mean ordering a large poutine with little drops of cheese..little gravy and now they even removed some ingredients. Sometimes fries that's not fresh. Whoever is the manager needs to do quality control. Also ordering at night time I would not recommend because it's never come out Ok. I actually got tired and decided I am never ordering from you guys again.
The staff was rude and unwelcoming, the food was low quality, and the prices were not cheap at all. Overall, a disappointing experience.
I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. While waiting for my order, I saw the person preparing the food eating customers’ food with his bare hands while making it. There were no gloves, no utensils — just directly touching and tasting the food that was being served. That completely crossed the line for basic hygiene and food safety. It made me uncomfortable and concerned about how food is handled behind the scenes. Cleanliness and professionalism are the bare minimum in any restaurant, and unfortunately this experience did not meet that standard. I won’t be returning.
This place was very disappointing. I stopped by while in Berkeley and decided to give it a try, but it did not live up to the hype. I ordered the chicken on the rocks, and both the chicken and rice lacked any flavor. My husband order beef on the rocks and that was tasteless as well. Honestly, I’m shocked at how busy this place was, given the quality of the food.
Service could be better, and prices aren’t always consistent. My sandwich was soggy and falling apart. I hope they improve soon.
