I love this place. The service is great. The waiter i think Andrew was amazing. The execitive chef and the entire kitchen is really amazzing amazing and talented. The menue is perfect. Drink was amazing. It was a perfect way to say goodbye to our coworker.
Excellent neighborhood spot. Always delicious and relaxing. Interesting cocktails. Mediterranean flavors throughout the menu. The specials have never disappointed.
One of the best features of this cozy restaurant is their menu. Everything was unique about it and I thoroughly enjoyed the vegetable crepes. Great find in a place you wouldn't expect it.
Elegant but cozy, great food and wine selection.
Truly inspired food! Complex cmbinations, that separately wouldnt intuitively go together, but when combined create something outstanding. Have never had a bad bite of anything in our 3 visits so far. Halloumi cheese and scallops are our faves. Excellent service, and food is worth the price. Eat here!
R.I.P Wildwood Kitchen! I Loved the time I spent working here and all the Spirited Regulars! We had some fun times…. Featured Food Credits: Chef Brandon Shapiro
Great food, good service, a bit pricey for a neighborhood spot, but good none-the-less.
Had lunch there today and it was great! The Romaine Caesar salad and it was light and tasty. Had the brisket sandwich and it very moist and out of this world. Too bad I live in Severna Park because I would eat there every week if I could. Also, try Jamie's home made syrups. They are out of this world, too.
What a delight! Though we were easily the youngest people in there by about 30 years (must be the strip mall effect) the food was a delicious blend of adventurous and sumptuous. Best food we've had in a while. The haloumi and duck pate make wonderful, palette pleasing appetizers. The scallops are cooked to perfection in an excellent balance of flavors. The lamb was also cooked perfectly and married almost perfectly with eggplant, and kale tabouleh. The only misstep was an overwhelming pistachio tahini under the lamb. There was way too much and it was too bitter and overwhelmed everything. If you just leave that part out of the meal the rest blends beautifully. The chocolate halvah mousse with banana ice cream, graham crumbles and a smear of cinnamon marshmallow was divine. Wines by the glass are good, but outshined by the food. The service was very friendly and attentive. The ambiance was quiet and nothing to rave about, but nice enough. Definitely a splurge. Better for adults only. Ample parking in the shopping center.
Robert Wiedmeir's food does not disappoint add the food is delicious. However, Grace the bartender delivers excellence with every drink and a warm personality. Must tries for cocktail enthusiasts include peach caprinha, lavender bees knees, and the inside job.
Best food! Chef Brandon Shapiro has an amazing way of making Tahini for all dishes...just exquisite in taste, design & presentation! Make a reservation to be sure & get in!
We appreciate all they are doing here for safe dining. All the time, they are putting out great food. We had the scallop dinner and it was delicious.
Great little local restaurant with excellent food and good service. Not a huge place so it usually fills up even during the week. Definitely popular with locals.
The people who work at this place are some of the nicest and most professional employees i've ever met in my life. Not only that but the food is creative and delicious.
Wonderful and attentive staff. Excellent preparation of food. Go at least once or twice a week. Exceptional food in wildwood shopping center. How convenient!
Great food and service! I had the steak entree and it was delicious! Our waiter was very tentative to our table
Amazing food. Atmosphere and ambiance were very classy and sophisticated. Reservations are a must
Really delightful meal. Highly recommend the seafood paella for two... Only $65 total or 80 with bottomless sangria
What a delight! First time there, will definitely be back. Delicious imaginative food, and as competent and friendly a staff as you can ask for.
I had the best scallops at the Wildwood Kitchen that I've probably ever had. Delicious. I enjoyed every bite.
Very good service. Everything was fast and delicious. I recommend the soups and the chocolate bombe cake.
Service and food were top notch and we truly enjoyed our visit. We both had chicken sandwiches and the flavors were off the charts. Fresh bread to start and last, but not least we split the cheesecake. Next time we will both order our own! It was a divine ending! Thank you, Wildwood Kitchen! We are sure to return!
I've eaten there twice now. I've had the salmon- blackened- and it has been excellent, very tasty and light, but a little spicy just as I like it. The pricing is reasonable, although they wanted to charge me for a refill of diet soda, which I did not like. A friend had short ribs of beef, and said it was also excellent. We had a table right up in front; it was comfortable and relatively quiet. The on-line reservation system is very convenient. Parking is free. Overall, a solid 9 out of 10. I plan to eat there regularly.
The food was well prepared and presented. My companion had a salmon entree that she enjoyed. I had braised lamb meatballs. Attention from host and servers was just right, there when wanted but not hovering. We had lunch but would anticipate same quality for dinner.
I ate here last night for the first time - somehow I have missed the sign in Wildwood Shopping Center all these years. The place is very upscale yet the wait staff is super casual and friendly. The meal was delicious from beginning to end. I highly recommend the octopus appetizer and the duck special was also very good. I will be back soon!
4 of us met for a late dinner. We all had a wonderful meal. Crab cakes were on a special. Awesome. Short Ribs. Chicken. Scallops. All we're really well prepared and well accepted. Yes we will come back soon. Thank you for putting up with us.
Outstanding food, service and ambiance! This was my first time and I took a risk coming on my birthday to have celebratory lunch. I wasn't disappointed! Quite the opposite! Everything was awesome and I will be back. Love this place!
Have visited Wildwood Kitchens at least 10 times! Menu is based upon Mediterranean style of cooking with clean, fresh flavors being embraced. Crab cakes, beef short rib, diver scallops and the beet salad are all stellar! Kudos to a well executed Kitchen. Big Guy.
Fantastic food. Attentive, not invasive service. Each item is a unique interpretation of a classic. Scallops? Tender and fresh, delicately sauteed in what tastes like a butter and garlic sauced pan - SOP with any decent restaurant - but how about with small crowns of broccoli and aromatic but tender mushrooms on the side... and a sauce that includes what tasted like a bit of fruit plus small, diced hot pepper... contrasts, overtures, nuanced. Amazing. The food isn't particularly pricey (for Bethesda, main courses average about $28 as of 2/16), the drinks are.
Had an amazing dinner at the Wildwood Kitchen this evening. If I could I would give them 10 stars!! It's located in a small, cute and quiet neighborhood shopping center, there's plenty of parking.🤗 Walking into the small and cute restaurant, we were welcomed by a warm, soft music and perfect lighting atmosphere. From the furniture to the lighting, it has a small modern antique and rustic style decor. It has a calm aroma when inside the restaurant, the colors are very warm and inviting. We were greeted with a warm smile by Dan. He walked us over to our perfect, cozy and intimate booth for two which had a simple table setup. 👫🏾❤🍽Handed each of us a menu, he gave us some great suggestions on the food.👍🏾👍🏾 The prices were reasonable and not over priced.🙌🏾👏🏾💲💲 The menu wasn't overwhelming with food options. We were given bread to start off with,it was nicely toasted with a drizzle of oil and chili pepper flakes. Our server Allison came over and introduced herself. She was really sweet, knowledgeable and kind. My fiancee and i started with appetizers; we enjoyed a duck liver patè, lamb meatballs, a pear salad (I loved the salad.... i mean i loved all the appetizers but that salad,so refreshing, my fiancee's favorite was the liver- it was smooth and flavorful, it just melts in your mouth.🤤🤤🤤🤤) we also enjoyed three cheeses (a sheep, a goat and cow.... I love cheese😁. And their cheese platter was simple, adventurous and amazing). For our entrees, we highly enjoyed the Atlantic Salmon and Bistro Steak....🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤. Every bite was perfect and different, you will discover different seasonings and flavors with each bite. My tastebuds were very happy and from the looks of my fiancee face- he was very much into his dish. 😊His steak was a perfect and juicy medium rare steak and my medium well salmon was full of flavor. The chef👨🍳 is a very talented man!! Dan (we learned was the M.O.D)was attentive to all his guest ,welcomed our feedback and was always helping his staff. While enjoying our heaven sent food, I enjoyed my dish with a glass of Cheateau Paradis Rosè and my fiancee enjoyed his with a bourbon base cocktail called the inside job. Allison made sure we were comfortable through out experience and removed all dishes as we were done. She paced out the food perfectly! Of course, we had dessert!! I had a dark chocolate mousse and he had a cheesecake. The perfect ending.... the chocolate mousse had a good s'more marshmallow flavor spread and caramelized banana slices with a tiny scoop of ice cream. The chocolate mousse isn't too heavy but rich, but with everything together....it breaks that richness down, definitely a shareable dish. The cheesecake was delicious, and a shareable dish as well. The cheesecake had this shredded wheat topping which gives the cheesecake a pop in it's smooth and soft flavor and fulfillment of satisfaction. It's light but holds a nice amount of deliciousness!! Perfect way to settle your evening and indulgents experience. Definitely an amazing and memorable experience, it is 35 minutes from where we live and we are excited to travel back again to try a few more items and to experience their happy hour. Perfect place for a date night, girlfriends get together, guys cool down, get out the house, spoil myself alittle without emptying my pockets kind of spot!! It has a nice small intimate bar as well!! ❤👍🏾🤤!! Go check it out and Enjoy!!
Lovely ambiance. I had roasted squash soup and the chicken salad - it looked so good I forgot to take a photo! A mix of people, older and younger. Excellent service. I suggest walking around the small mall afterwards!
Alison’s customer service was superb. I had the Portugués octopus and the falafel salad. The food was good yet barely achieved four stars. Nice setting, good music.
Its location is surprising on a strip mall next to the highway, but it is a welcome surprise. The food is pretty good and prepared delicately. The service is good but pretty slow. The outside seating is nice and less noisy than you'd expect being next to the parking lot.
An intimate place for a quiet dinner with that special someone. Friendly staff and high quality cocktails, food and dessert.
good service. appetizers are not really my taste but are really unique (duck liver). main course is very delicious. pricy but worth it.
Excellent meal. Very attentive wait staff. Had scallops they were done to perfection. A thoroughly enjoyable meal.
Great brunch. Healthy options, no frying in this Wiedmaier kitchen. Seems to be popular with the "established, mature" outer-Bethesda residents, though. ;-)
The food and service it good. Just a little bit expensive. All the food shows on the picture is over $70.
Great little spot for unique food and drinks. Step a little outside of the norm at this place and be delighted with the experience.
The ambience of this place, especially the patio is really charming. They had a variety of sauces to use - favorite being the jalapeno style one. Had the perfect sweet flavor with a kick at the end. Came here with a few coworkers so we tried a few different options. We tried the chefs plate so we could sample a few items. The pulled pork was good, as was the ribs, but the brisket was so dry it was like eating chewy meat. It was terrible. Even the sauce couldn't help how poorly cooked that meat was. Coming from Texas, I know what good brisket was and sadly, this was a major let down. Everyone at the table couldn't even eat it so it sadly was left untouched after a few bites. The mac and cheese was a great comeback though. It was super gooey and really had great flavor including the bread crumbs on top. We also had the Locals only sampler which everything there was really good if you want to jump off traditional bbq. And of course, the ribs. They actually were quite a great surprise and cooked almost perfect. Meat was delicious and had great flavor across the board. I may have been a little more picky than most people from the south. However most items were great with just a few really missing the mark.
Dinner with friends while visiting the area. Our first time to this restaurant and all was good, except one issue, and it is a big one; The swordfish was cut so thin we thought they had brought me the wrong dish, it looked like veal, seared nicely, but overdone. I did not send it back because I wanted us all to east together, but any novice seafood chef knows you need to cut swordfish at least 3/4" thick to maintain moisture. Really, in my mind, no excuse for this.
Food was delicious! Place was nice and classy I would have rated my experience with 4 stars but the prices were too high compared with the value of the food.
I got the ribs. It felt thoroughly slow-cooked and the meat just dissolved in your mouth. It's a nice dinner place to take your special someone to for a nice relaxing night.
Decent quality food but pricey. The environment is kind of a dark with everything wood decor. Need to provide more seasonal options.
Mediocre food for high prices. Waiter was not so hospitable and seemed distant. Good lighting and atmosphere.
Food is good. We're ordered a bottle of wine and rather than receiving what we ordered we were told they had no more bottles of that type. Rather than bringing a comparably priced different wine, she brought one substantially more expensive. We had to query for a more reasonably priced bottle. I consider that poor service.
I went here with my family soon after it opened. We had reservations and still had to wait about twenty minutes to be seated. The place itself is small, yet cozy with nice decor. The food is okay, but it is overpriced for the quality. My family all ordered different plates and tried one-another's. They were all good and very nicely presented, but none of the dishes stood out as something that I adored and had to return for. Overall, the place is just okay.
I've been here 4x in the past year and a half, always for a business meal, and everytime has been consistently mediocre. The menu for lunch has fairly limited selections, and all taste very so-so. We went for lunch last week, and our server mentioned a lump crab meat soup of the day. She didnt bother to tell us the soup was in fact a gazpacho, so we were quite shocked with our first bite. Our server checked in several times but she lacked any real emotions or facial expressions. The bread is always the best part of the meal. We'll definitely be going to Flower Child couple doors down now that that's open.
Great service, but really barely mediocre food. Which would be fine if they didn't charge like they are an upscale restaurant.
Ordered take out for dinner. The restaurant had a special on red clam sauce. Also we purchased lentil soup and baba ganoush. The red clam sauce was like water no flavor no clams. The soup was so thick you had to use a Fork to eat it. And all of that cost about $50 with a mandatory tip that the restaurant asks for before you submit your order. I don't mind tipping kitchen help Etc but when I asked at the restaurant the manager told me he shared in the tips. Overall I'd avoid this place
