My experience was beyond words, from being welcome at entrance to being served with awesomeness customer service from the cook . The food 😋 delicious and all homemade. The atmosphere was so cool and i will diffenitly going back upon my next visit to Big Bear.

It was a great choice for breakfast. YUGE pancake. Sausage Pattie’s were more the size of a hamburger and everything tasted great! We were there during the week in off season. The place is small, so there may be a wait during a busier season!

They make a delicious from scratch waffle. Crispy on the outside, light, hot, and fluffy inside, and tender enough to cut with the side of the fork. The waitress recommended the sausage patty - they are made fresh every day. This was so good. This was a fun place. It was very much worth the drive. If you know when you'll arrive, call ahead for reservations, else, enjoy the company while you wait at beautiful Big Bear Lake. The staff were polite, helpful, and friendly. I strongly recommend this cafe.

This is what I consider a local business. Stickers plastered everywhere for decor. People put up small notes or even on dollar bills. Friendly staff but busy. Our visit was the week following Fourth of July. I can imagine during weekends, this place is packed. Portions are huge. Didn't order pancakes, but we saw them. It's bigger than the plate it's served on. I had the Desi breakfast muffin sandwich. 2 eggs, cheese, and bacon. Don't bother trying to eat it like a sandwich. It's loaded. My wife had French toast. Maybe four pieces, no, six fat pieces. Best breakfast we had all week. If we stopped here earlier in the week, we probably would have had another meal there. Please tip the cook. He busted his butt while we were there. Nice guy. Highly recommended.

The portions here are enormous! Especially the pancakes!! They overlap on top of the large plates! Service was good and quick. We got there at around 11:30 on a Friday morning and we only had to wait a few minutes for a table for a party of 5.

Worth the hype!! Came in blind and the staff was soooo nice. Super accommodating of foreign customers who sat next to me who didn’t speak great English, I was so happy to see how patient they were with them despite the rush. Pancakes were HUGE and delicious. Bacon comes out pretty crispy so specify if you want it less cooked. Great prices but more importantly, delicious food. Also try the pepper plant garlic hot sauce!!!

This is a local legend. Place is always crowded. Food is awesome and prices are fair. Portion size is great. Be prepared for a long wait. You should go when you're not pressed for time and not "I can't wait" hungry. Highly recommend!

What a gem, if you want great breakfast look no futher. This place is tiny so just note that you will be waiting a while, especially on weekends. We camd here at 10am on a monday, cook us 15 mins to get seated. The good here is so so good. You must get the The Blob, youll thank me later. Other things that are great is the french toast and pancakes. What make this place to amazing other than the food is the staff. They are working so hard and really make sure you have a great experience. They are always on the go. If you are in big bear you need to visit.

My friends and I recently visited this place, and we absolutely loved it! It’s pretty hard to find a real, hearty country breakfast these days, but this place delivered the full. From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in the right place. The pancake was huge, and the taste was absolutely amazing, I loved its fluffy texture. I also got to try a bite of the sausage, which was perfectly seasoned, and the French toast was soft and delicious. The atmosphere was unique, and we had such a nice time chatting and enjoying the food. Unfortunately, it’s a bit of a long drive for us; otherwise, we’d be visiting way more often!

Came for lunch around 1pm with a few people. Was a decent experience, staff was amicable and food was served fairly quickly. This is a cozy space in which we waited 15 minutes to be seated. Food was okay, price point to proportions is great. Pancakes were cooked and moist. Eggs and hash browns were also good. Parking available on site.

Haven't been up to Big Bear in 3 years. Happened to pass by the Grizzly Manor Cafe, w/o reading any reviews. It's a small place under 50 seats. The ambiance is local & patriotic! I was pleasantly Surprised of the portion of food (make your own omelet!). Their menu is very simple 2, 3 pages. Plus you can tell Alot of visitors have passed through here, & had a bite to eat here from the foreign bills & and stickers. Was honored of seeing all of the different service badges up on the wall. Overall, if you're looking for something local, good food & want to support the community, this is the place. Aug 23, 25 Came bk up to Go camping, ate here I already new it was going to be good that I brought my son he's a bit picky but he enjoyed the food as well surprised of the PORTIONS of each plate that went out. If you go later than 9/10 am on the wkend most likely you wait for a table. Definitely I'd be back when I'm up here. * Keep up the WORK!!!

It's a pretty grunge hole-in-the-wall, but the breakfast is solid and comes out fast. Not much of a line and the service was pretty quick to get in and out.

We decided to try this place for breakfast after reading some good reviews , but honestly, it was just okay. The food wasn’t bad, but nothing really stood out ,pretty average overall. The service could’ve been better too; our server seemed a bit rushed and not very accommodating. We were seated right by the front door, and every time it opened, a cold draft came in. When we asked to move, the server told us we’d have to wait again and mentioned they “should have warned us” about that seat ,which didn’t help much. If there isn’t a line, it might be fine for a quick bite, but for how long the wait can get, it’s really not worth it. IMO

This place is overrated and they expected me to wait outside for two hours with a neck brace in pain. No priority whatsoever for disabled people.

Not good food. Sausage Gravy didn't have sausage in the gravy. The steak wasn't cooked as asked, hash browns were hard, french toast tasted more like just toast. Overall food just wasn't good

Was excited to try breakfast from this place but came away very disappointed. Gravy is a cheap mix with little flavor, biscuits are dry, bacon burned, everything tastes like old burnt grease more than food. Honestly it was so bad I had to throw most of it away, and I was ravishingly hungry... some of the worst food I've ever gotten from a restaurant
