I've been to several places to eat ramen, and I can say I have a lot of experience with ramen. This place really had me a little surprised. It was a spot in the middle of nowhere, on our way from Reno to Los Angeles, and it ended up being a really good place. The service is excellent. The ramen came in a plastic bowl, and the water cups were foam cups. They have their station where you serve yourself water and grab napkins. But the waiter was always checking if everything was good. The flavor was good. I don't have any problem with that. The egg was original, ramen-style egg, ajitsuke tamago. The pork was two good pieces, and with good garlic, bamboo, ginger, and a little chopped onion. More or less like that. The plate costs around $18.50, but definitely the portions were generous. I was very satisfied, and everything was delicious. Excellent service.
Came in with my son on a Friday night. There was a line all the way to the door- and for good reason - the food is good! We had the tonkotsu ramen and chicken karaage- both excellent! The only bummer was the people who didn’t clean up after themselves. The 2 guys working did doing their best to keep up so we bussed a table to have a place to sit. We’ll be back!
Had the Gojira Miso Ramen — it was fantastic! Spicy, but still full of flavor. Exactly what I wanted. The balance between heat and taste was perfect, and the broth was rich and satisfying. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys a good kick without losing the true ramen taste. 🍜🔥
It is a very unique stop, but perfect for your mid trip pit stop to have sushi. My wife and I are were coming back from lake tahoe and we stopped in bishops to charge our car. While we're waiting we ate here and we are pleasantly surprised by the Poke bento box. Highly recommend for anybody who's looking for a spot to charge and enjoy a good meal.
First time here, 7/27/23. Heard around town it’s worth a try. In the Rite Aid/Big 5 shopping center. Lots to choose from. Had the Fried Sushi California Cream Cheese Roll. 8 pieces, very tasty. Everyone around me were having bowls. Was informed the Calamari is incredible. I’ll definitely be back! Not super expensive either.
We were quite hungry, I went with the beef bowl and enjoyed the miso with it. The gyoza was crunchy and savory. Overall exactly what we wanted and expected.
Cute and amazing place in Bishop. We took a stop here on our way to Mammoth lakes. This place surprised me with its food options and cost too. It's amazing food at reasonable price. They have plenty vegetarian options. Their miso ramen are good but their sushi rolls are amazing and so tasty. We tried their sweet potato with avocado rolls. They are definitely a must try. Definitely a must visit when here.
It's a restaurant with just a few tables. Easy to miss if you don't know where is it. Nice service and very tasty, great quality food. When you order a spicy ramen and you are not sure how hot it could be they offer a hot pepper paste on side 👍It was great eating experience. Definitely will come back.
What a delicious little gem in Bishop! I really appreciate the gluten free options. THEY HAVE BOBA!!! I highly recommend the lavender flavor! Also had the edamame and Philadelphia. The roll had so much more salmon in it than I’m used to-which is not a bad thing! The staff was really attentive and made our experience enjoyable.

Great food, super flavoursome. Quite expensive for sure, only 2 pieces of pork in the miso ramen which is not cheap. I understand costs have increased but worth noting there are other places around that likely have better dollar to volume. (I’ve put 10-20 but none of us got drinks or dessert) Excellent food though, and great staff who were very attentive and also gave some recommendations on things to do in the area when we said we were from overseas. Definitely recommend!
Very happy to find this place while charging around the corner. Excellent, quality Japanese food. Even the boba drinks were really good. Friendly service. Highly recommend while your in the neighborhood ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Food was great. We came here on a Friday around 6 and it wasn't hard to find a table. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely recommend this spot for sushi and poke.

Awesome spot! The Mothramen and Tonkotsu ramen were spectacular, the atmosphere was humble and sweet with an impressive Godzilla collection. 10/10 stars y'all!
Had their AYCE sushi and it was great. Very reasonable pricing, amazing service from the wait staff, reasonable wait times. I hope the AYCE selection increases a bit, but I also understand their location and size may hamper that. Overall was very happy with this place all things considered. Had the Ohno roll and Destroyah roll and very happy with both. Takoyaki, gyoza and chicken karaage was pretty good well. On the ramen I would skip the spicy chili, it's a little too much burn and not enough flavor. The marinated eggs were amazing, and noodles and broth were pretty good too.
After a day of boarding we just wanted sushi and there’s not too many options in the area, we found this place with good reviews. Big parking lot, easy to find, sat down right away only one other person here, not the best quality sushi, fresh fish it seemed but not rolled great, it was good, but very expensive, $20+ a roll, I don’t think I would return because of the price but worth trying out.

We went here for the All you can eat and were surprised at the low price for AYCE. The menu is limited, but still good enough variety for us. The nigiri were huge with way too much rice, but still least the rice and fish quality was pretty good. Rolls were unique and delicious. Overall very surprised that there’s an AYCE sushi place in bishop and that it’s pretty good!
The place was really busy and I could tell locals enjoyed but I sadly did not. Maybe I am too spoiled with good ramen in Southern California but I had the vegetarian ramen and it was bland, tofu was cold(which waitress told me is what it was supposed to be), and I just did not taste any flavor. I gave 3 stars because my husband did like his chicken bento box and waitress was quick to serve and bring out food.

The only positive aspect of our visit was our server — she was friendly and did her job. Everything else was a letdown. The restaurant has clearly taken a step backward: all the food is now served in disposable containers, and you have to go to the counter to place your order and get your own water and napkins. The salmon special roll was mediocre at best, and the regular rolls were only okay — overpriced for what you get. For nearly $100 for two people, the meal was completely not worth it.
This place surprised us last year with both quality and generous portions, but today was a complete letdown. The ramen barely had any broth, just a handful of noodles, some bamboo, and half an egg. The “beef bowl” was more like a side dish for the rice, with a portion size fit for a child. We drove out of our way to come back here because last year’s visit impressed us — but as it often goes, good things don’t last. The waitress seemed mentally clocked out before her shift was even over, and the whole experience felt off. Such a shame. We definitely won’t be recommending this place anymore.

This use to be one of my favorite places to eat in Bishop…..but not anymore!!! The change in style was a huge let down. The ramen had hardly any meat and the broth did not taste the same at all. Seems like fast food now, big let down.
Used to love coming here but this place has really gone downhill. They have changed the format of the restaurant (and no longer do AYCE). You now order at the counter and everything is single-use plastic/styrofoam. They have a water/napkin station and you're expected to bus your own table. Portions seem to have shrunk. Disappointing overall. Considering their steep prices, I'll be dining elsewhere from now on.
This place sucked! This was the worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant. Gojira should be ashamed they let people like this run the restaurant. I ordered a sushi burrito and they had run out of many of the ingredients. I asked for someone to get some more avocado and the clerk said they wouldn’t be making any more. Then 3 minutes later after paying for my overpriced burrito they brought about avocado. I’m thinking it had to do with the fact that I was Asian. I would this ridiculous overpriced roll. I paid $20 for basically an oversized California roll. It was also hard to eat and it fell apart after a few bites. I talked to the clerk and you would expect some sort of apology. But nope. He just said, “yeah that sucks.” If you go here to eat, remember I tried to warn you
This is no longer a restaurant, AVOID! Used to love this place. Great food, great service. But clearly the owner saw the popularity of this place and got greedy. Prices are up and no more kids menu. They moved the host stand to the back so we waited in a long line of people ordering to go. Got to the front, wasn’t greeted, asked for a table for two. Was told I have to snag a table when it opens and then wait in line again to order. And no waitlist. A table opened up and we were told we could have that table. I started to order our food then was told, oh I guess someone else just grabbed that table and we were just out of luck. We could stand there and wait for another one, sit outside or leave. We left. Won’t be coming back here.
