Easy stop. Bathrooms has changing tables too
So, I do not live in the area, but come up to the area to hike. This location is better than the kiosk in Vons, but that is about it. But there is no other Starbucks option close by. I stopped using my environmentally friendly personal cup because they always messed up my simple drink order (literally every single time) besides that my hot drink was never hot, tepid warm at best. I stopped getting anything I wanted warmed up. I have ordered a “toasted” croissant twice before, both times it came to me COLD. So my last visit I order a basic (hot latte) standard size (grande) … seems to be my best option for it not to be screwed up. And yes like other reviews have stated, the drive thru is slow, every time.
This drive through is probably the slowest I've ever gone through, and it's not just one time. Routinely slow. It shouldn't take 10 - 15 mins every time I go through...
The store front is large compared to most of the Starbucks I've visited throughout California. Plenty of seating inside and outside without feeling crowded. However, the store was very dirty. Walking up to the store there were at least 10 used Starbuck cups sitting outside on balcony - I stayed for a couple of hours and no one ever went outside to pick them up. An employee walked out of the bathroom as I was walking in...there was trash EVERYWHERE. Toilet paper in clusters throughout the entire bathroom, trash ON toilets, trash on toilet paper dispenser...EVERYWHERE. I'm assuming she wasn't concerned because when I came out she was back at the counter taking orders. This location does offer many warm breakfast items, but they don't carry the cold lunches/protein packs (pics attached). I had the steak wrap and Brewed coffee. The winner for me was the large space and ample wall plug-ins - plus it's one of the only Starbucks in the area.
Slowest food order, North of 35 minutes to get 2 croissants and a sandwich made after ordering.
This place absolutely fell off! I don’t know if recipes changed but the drinks I usually order from here no longer taste the same. I stopped going because every time I’d order my drink it would either be extremely weak or just taste awful. The customer service is always awesome, it’s always clean and the food cases are always stocked with food items.
I'm from out of town and stopped for a venti caramel macchiato and a venti chestnut praline latte.....my husband's cup felt heavier than mine but I thought nothing of it until we started to drive away I checked my cup (the chestnut praline latte) and discovered I was only given a grande portion. Shame on you! We spend so much at these establishments and at 6 something a cup you could at least make sure the cups are full. Unfortunately I couldn't go back we're towing a trailer and on our way home to another state so I'm just out of luck.
Service is ridiculously slow. Waited 20 minutes for our beverages, while baristas prioritized mobile orders. Not coming back.
Disclaimer ***FOR STARBUCKS COFFE COMPANY /NOT EMPLOYEES OF THIS LOCATION*** Would have given less stars in the review if possible. I found it very difficult to believe there was only three (x3) “Glass Bears from the holiday collection available for purchase at this location in Bishop, CA the morning of their release. Very disappointing.
Very disappointing cashier. Inspite of spelling my name consisting of just five letters, the cashier deliberately wrote some other name , making me wait unnecessarily. I am sure it was intentional.
They put sour, rotten milk in my iced coffee this morning. They had to have smelled it and decided to make it anyway.. it smelled so bad when I later opened my cup to examine. Sadly, I paid $8+ for a drink full of food poisoning.
Be careful: The guy at the drivethrough moves the cardmaschine when choosing a tip. That is how he got an UNDESERVED tip of 5 dollars for one coffe which took quite a while prepearing.
I used to come here occasionally when the local spots were closed, but something with management changed recently. Almost every experience is absolutely awful. If you start an order with water, with an intention to add on other things after, you’re told “you can’t order that” or a “we can’t serve you water”. If you ask, it’s because you started an order with WATER…in bishop….during the heat of summer. In general the store itself is pretty grimy. Every time you walk in it smells like bad eggs and burnt coffee. It seems like no one has mopped or washed down a table ever. Go to a local place instead. At least local spots have compostable cups and friendly staff (and they give water away for FREE without being weird about it).
Trying to place an order on the Starbucks app, but this location said it was not available so I had to go in They were really busy when I walked in, which I get it, but no one looked up or even said hello or be with you in a minute. I waited at the register for almost 10 minutes before someone even came to take my order ( it took almost 8 minutes before a guy making drinks said we will be with you in a minute). The drive-through person and the other and the skinny girl were too busy having a personal conversation to even say hello to anyone that walked in. it was another two minutes before employee. Jennifer finally asked if anyone was working the register. I heard a reply that that person was on break. Jeniffer said well someone needs to be working the register. She finally saved the day and came and took our order. There was three or four people waiting in line. I go to Starbucks a lot and I spend a lot of money here. This was totally unacceptable experience at this Starbucks. Management might need to look into retraining some employees.
Ordered two coffee drinks on the app at 7pm on a Saturday evening for our drive ahead to Lake Tahoe. Store was open until 8pm and wanted to use the restroom. However they forced us to use the drive thru and would not open the doors. Both drinks were awful. The absolute worst I’ve ever had at a Starbucks. Could barely drink a few sips. This was a disappointing Starbucks experience to say the least.
Although a few employees deserve 5 stars, there is a serious lack of training or motivation in half the staff that will leave you with the worst Starbucks drinks you’ve ever tasted and old ingredients. This Mocha Cookie Crumble has no cookie, cream, and is melted into a barely cold overpowering mocha melt.
Stopped in Bishop as we always do halfway through a long drive (8+ hours) and arrived at 7pm. Hours say closed at 8 but as we were walking up to the door, the barista inside rushed up to the front door to lock it without even acknowledging us. Not sure what the problem was but even a “Sorry guys we’re closed” would’ve been fine. Guess we’ll go to the Starbucks inside Vons when we come by in the future
