The decor of this restaurant is beautiful and modern. The food was all perfectly prepared and arrived to the table very quickly. We probably ordered too much food as the portions are quite big! Make sure you leave room for dessert and a cocktail afterwards.

Fantastic meal again. Service was a bit shaky at the start, we had to collar the waitress at the start to order drinks and then another to order food. Training is fine but do it on another night apart from a busy Saturday night. Atmosphere was great and the singers are a great addition. Food was superb to be honest, probably the best Fish and chips I've had in a long time and even though it's a staple English dish is served well - love the pot of gravy - you wouldn't get that down south! 🤣 Cocktails good but expensive at £12 a throw.

The food is incredible, wine and cocktails also amazing! but honestly The one thing that really stands out is the staff. We were served by a couple of different people, and they are just so happy & pleasant! It really does create a lovely atmosphere to not just ‘eat’ but go for a nice meal. I can’t wait to go back! Hats off to the chefs and staff!

Rural location, plenty of parking, adjoining hotel, friendly staff, large bar menu, great food!

We came here for breakfast and it was great. We were sat down and had an offer of tea or coffee and got to choose from a varied menu with items such as all day breakfasts, eggs benidict, kippers and your standard bacon/sausage/egg on toast and more. While you are waiting you also have the offer of cereals, toasts, pastries and juices. The staff were really friendly and couldn't do anything more for you. Also I have to mention that the cleaner there was doing an excellent job, I've never seen someone do such a thorough job!! Also visited for Sunday lunch and wowwww. The beef dinner was great, so much option on your plate it was unreal! Definitely would recommend coming here

Was a little concerned with the portion size since I'd only gone for a main meal – will order a starter too next time. Wouldn't want an extra side to distract from the exceptional Greek Lamb, which was cooked to perfection, and presented with delicious aubergine & potato terrine, couscous, courgette and a sun-blushed tomato dressing.

Went for afternoon tea which was really good and service quick and efficient. Good choice of sandwiches and cakes couldn't eat it all and takeaway box was provided without any fuss.

Celebrated a surprise 18th Birthday on the 9th Sep for my niece. Restaurant manager Loui went above and beyond in making an evening to remember. The area that we had was perfect right at the side of the bar, was made private just for our party. The food was lovely and the staff were very helpful. Would definitely highly recommend any special occasion at The Artisan if your after a venue with beautiful, contemporary decor.

We had a lovely Afternoon Tea with Bubbles.. a gift from my son and his wife for Christmas 2021.. yes 2021.. we finally got around to booking it.. and we were not disappointed.. greeted with a lovely glass of prosecco with a raspberry garnish.. followed by the AT.. adorned with a cup of soup.. carrot & coriander, a lovely slice of a sausage roll/wellington fusion, freshly prepared 'crust-off' sandwiches, ham & tomato, egg, chicken with a tarragon (?) mayo.. a pepper and salsa wrap. Then cake.. a dainty portion of carrot cake, Bakewell and a chocolate cake. Next was a lovely fresh currant scone with ample servings of cream and jam in their individual pots. This was accompanied by a very nice pot of tea each.. altogether a genteel and delicious, perhaps (for us, with the bubbles).. decadent experience. I can honestly say that the quantity of food served is ample.. we both felt we had had a hearty delicious meal. My favourite... has to be the sausage roll/wellington thingy.. Mmm 😋

Food was really nice, menu had a good selection but slightly different to your standard menu which was refreshing. Atmosphere was great with a live singer but felt she finished too early after we'd finished eating we stayed for a few drinks but the singer left at 9 maybe 10/10:30 would be better

Absolutely spectacular Christmas Day meal. 6 of us ate a delicious 5 course meal in great surroundings. The Artisan team were great hosts and the atmosphere top notch. We’ll be back in 2024 for sure.

We hadn’t booked and popped in for Sunday dinner, the welcome, food and everything was wonderful. I recommend the hanging chicken kebabs with garlic pitta.

We had a great evening, but as soon as we had finished the starters the main meal arrived, so was a lot of food all at once. It would have been nice to have break in-between. The entertainment was fab and had a great time.👍

Having received a Buy you a Gift Voucher, we decided to use it at the Artisan to celebrate my husbands birthday. On arrival, we were shown to our table which was just off the main busy dinning room. The staff were attentive but not over, checking up everything was ok and topping up our tea and coffee. The food was lovely, which included warm sausage rolls and pigs in blankets. The scones were lovely and fresh, with more than enough jam and cream. All in all, a very enjoyable experience and we shall certainly return for another.

Thursday evening, it was a quiet atmosphere, and I was able to hear our conversation over a delicious three course meal that had been prepared for us, also taking into consideration our dietary needs. Artisan is definitely on my top 5 restaurants list.

We came in for Afternoon Cream Tea today, one of us four being vegan. Great effort goes into this, and the vegan option had the same high standard as the "regular" one. We really loved the whole experience, food, and service. Our two German relatives were suitably impressed too 🙂

The food is incredible! The prices are not cheap but it is justified with the quality of the food. The service is also outstanding, friendly and attentive staff. I will most definitely be returning. David, the owner was also extremely friendly and welcoming. First class from start to finish.

Had family up from London and managed to get a table on the day. We all commented on how fantastic the roast was. The beef was exceptional and the vegetables were fantastic. I would highly recommend.

Attended a work Xmas Party here. Very impressed with the level of service and quality of food. Bar staff provided instant service on entry , a theme that continued throughout the evening. The upper section catered for around 30 on a U shaped table. A pre ordered menu , soup and Pate were really tasty …. Main course of Turkey or Beef (that separated with a touch of the fork). All served on a nice hot plate , with beautifully cooked vegetables , sweet & roast potato. The food delivery was expedient and gracious, despite people popping in and out of their seats. There is no doubt I will revisit the restaurant and hotel , it was simply that good. Well done to Poppy for booking such a great place & thank you Artisan for setting a standard others should aspire to.

Had a lovely Afternoon Tea. Lovely venue. Service, could have been more attentive, we had to go and find staff for extra drinks as they were moving chairs. Venue nice, maybe background music could be played when venue not busy.

5 Star Review We recently held an event gathering to celebrate my mum’s life after her passing at Artisan Ribble Valley, and the experience was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcomed and at ease. They were so attentive, friendly, and truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly as we needed. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they brought a warmth and professionalism that made the day feel even more special. The venue itself is stunning and very classy, with beautifully stylish decor that adds sophistication while still feeling super cozy. As night fell, the atmosphere became even more relaxed and serene—exactly the right balance of comfort and elegance. The food was simply outstanding; everyone commented on how delicious it was, and it really elevated the day. Artisan Ribble Valley was the perfect setting for our gathering, a place where we could come together to celebrate my mum’s life in a heartfelt way. Knowing my mum had enjoyed many meals here herself over the years made it feel all the more special and meaningful. Having also held my son’s christening here, I can confidently say this is the ideal venue for any occasion, whether a casual lunch or a major celebration. Thank you, Artisan Ribble Valley, for making us feel so welcome and cared for. This was a truly five-star experience, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Went for an afternoon bite to eat (4 of us), booked a reservation for indoors but the weather was good, so sat outside.. waiter gave us a tab number and we had both table service and went to the bar ourselves.. great service and food as always.. brilliant place to relax and dine.. highly recommend 👍🏼

We had our wedding lunch here after a small ceremony at the registry office. Kayleigh was amazing at helping sort out our preorder and booking for 20 people. The food and service was perfect on the day! All allergies, dietary requirements and children were catered for and everyone enjoyed their meal. Kayleigh made sure we were at an accessible table for elderly grandparents. Honestly couldn’t ask for more and such a beautiful venue made it really special.

We recently celebrated our engagement with a meal on the mezzanine at Artisan for a party of 22, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The service was fantastic from start to finish, the staff were incredibly attentive, helpful, and made sure everything ran smoothly. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable, and the singer really added to the occasion. The food was excellent, with every dish arriving hot, plentiful, and full of flavour. A huge well-done to the whole staff team and management….you were outstanding 🤩🤩and truly helped make it a memorable night. Thank you for making our celebration so special!

We had dinner here last night for the first time and I have to say the service was exceptional. We never had to ask for anything and we were checked on multiple times. The food was fantastic quality and decent portion sizes. We had a wonderful evening.

Based on the price of the food which was a tad expensive in some areas. I feel like the menu is a little disjointed, the starters and mains on offer don't really compliment each other. The food is undoubtedly tasty though. It seems as though they are trying to please everyone but at the price of potentially diluting their excellent dishes by adding burgers and pizzas and pasta. All crowd pleasers of course but I think the restaurant hasn't yet decided what it is. Compare the duck breast to the burgers the food that comes out are poles apart and the bajan fish cakes to the pitta and hummus. Definitely worth a try though. Everyone really enjoyed it. But think about adding a pie or chicken breast dish to the mains or a proper scotch egg starter or mushrooms on toast done really well. The ladies loos were nice and clean but apparently the men's weren't. Plenty of parking and a nice veranda to sit for drinks too. We will be back!

Wasn't impressed with my fishcake starter, tasted bland with no flavour. Had the black and blue burger for main, which was absolutely delicious. Atmosphere was great, live music in the background was awesome. Would definitely return.

Our first visit to the Artisan, very comfortable dining, attentive, & efficient staff. I ordered the burger, it came with coleslaw, fries & onion rings . It was delicious. Others ordered halloumi bites, Moroccan meat balls, & various pies. Everyone enjoyed their food & the birthday cake arrived on cue! Would definitely go again any time.

Relaxing atmosphere, not too bad pricing, usually a decent meal, sometimes it is great others it's just average, so can be hit and miss but mean many times as it's easy to just arrive and eat.

Went for a private party in the private room upstairs. Lovely atmosphere. Food looked lovely and most people enjoyed theirs. I had the chicken and pesto pasta and it was okay but not much chicken and quite bland, not much flavour. Creme brulee was satisfactory not amazing. Service was good, one server very bossy and shouting though. Enjoyed the evening and would go back to try another meal.

Went on a quiet Thursday night. Beautifully decorated inside and lots of outdoor seating for when the weathers better. There were probably only 20 people in the restaurant. I ordered chicken wings as a starter which were nice. My main course was the Salmon Pad Thai. The salmon was nicely cooked with a crispy skin but the accompanying veg, noodles and bean sprouts were so salty, they verged on being inedible. I mentioned this to our sever who said he would pass it on to the kitchen. My wife had the chicken skewers which she really enjoyed. The problem with my meal was likely a one off but it spoilt the enjoyment of the meal.

My good wife booked the place. I had never heard of it, and didn't really look before hand. It is the restaurant attached to the country hotel. Which I found out by driving past. All metallic and glass, which is no bad thing, but it does make it a bit impersonal. I was seated in an alleyway, and the place was empty. Basically people were going past my back al night. Not a great table. The staff are young and lack a little warmth. Not the best combination in a place like this. I think that might be down to experience rather than intent. The menu covers every base without stating a definitive or distinct style. Sadly I could not find a single thing I wanted. My good lady decided to have something off the two courses menu. So I picked some olives as an appetizer and burger and side salad. The food tasted nice. There was enough. The staff were attentive. It was just all done clinically without a single bit of style, it was like sitting in a hotel airport lounge Then I'm sorry but I hate it when you have to eat a burger with a knife and fork...honestly short of dislocating my jaw there was no other way of eating it. Less is more with a burger. Not bad. Not going back though.

Vegan review: I ordered the jackfruit spring rolls to start which were really good! For the main I had the roasted Romero pepper dish, it came with bhajis which were quite hard and the poppadoms were greasy. It was ok but I wouldn’t recommend it or have it again, the jackfruit spring rolls I absolutely would. Service was great, staff were lovely.

Very nice place in a great location its very modern and clean the food was ok but nothing special we got a bread share board there was only two differnt types of bread and it was a bit stale, i had king prawns for my starter the prawns where a bit over cooked and small for king prawns, i had sea bass for main the fish was nice cooked well but what it was served with did not work and it was very bland, the dessert was the best part of the meal i had a very nice lemon tart served with meringue and ice cream which was one of the best desserts ive had just a shame about the rest of the meal

A

We only called in for drinks. The restaurant was quiet whilst we were there. When we entered we were totally ignored by the staff on the welcome desk. It's a shame because it looks a nice place. It's well furnished and decorated

Nothing other than posh butties on the menu, but had a hungry toddler so decided to try it. I ordered a pastrami butty but asked for no bread and some salad instead. Assistant very perplexed I didn't want bread. Tuna sandwich for my mum and a toddler ham one for granddaughter, which came with chips. 35 mins waiting, with a now restless 3 yr old. When we asked about the wait the manager rushed to the kitchen, I think we had been forgotten. Mine came with 6 slices of emmental cheese and a load of very chewy pastrami, other sandwiches were just well sandwiches! 3 soft drinks and 2 one scoop ice creams, £40.. Expensive for what they were, and sadly far nicer in local butty shops!. Wouldn't bother again

I ate here yesterday. Originally we went for afternoon tea, as the poster stated served daily from 12-5pm to then be told on arrival that it needed 24 hours notice so we could not do it. A little disappointed we still decided to stay and order food, I have heard lots of good things about artisan and I was still keen to try it. The food and drinks did take a while to come which was confusing as we was the only people in. I ordered a chicken bacon lettuce club sandwich, which came with crisps and salad. The first thing I tried was the crisps which much to my disbelief were soggy/stale. Leaving them to one side I went onto the sandwich, which looked OK I however I wasn’t blown away with the appearance. When I bit into the sandwich the bacon was over done, chewy and very dry, the chicken was similar it was not very soft it was very dry with some hard parts. The bread tasted like it had been toasted but then just left to one side for a while, it was cold and tasted stale. The best bit about the sandwich was the egg on it as it was the only things that enabled me to actually swallow the sandwich due to the sheer dryness of it. There was also very little sauce on the sandwich. However I did order chunky chips, and they was actually ok I can’t complain about those. But overall I was disappointed with the quality of the food here for the price and even though I live in the ribble valley I would absolutely not go back or recommend artisan.

Unfortunate enough to spend an evening with an employee of our company who had travelled up from Derby to stay for the night before heading off to a local meeting the following morning. He was awoken twice by the fire alarms going off due to the staff being unable to control vaping of a few in the bar at 3am. The food was by far one of the worst meals I’ve ever had (pics attached), this is the most expensive item on the menu - Himalayan Rib eye steak. The staff haven't bothered to contact me and all I get told via fb messenger is the manager is a very busy person. Doesn’t deserve the 1 star, disgusting value for money, inept staff and even worse food. Embarrassed that I put up our sales rep in this hotel and suggested eating here too.

My daughter bought an afternoon tea for 2 for my Christmas gift. We have sampled a few at different places. We were looking forward to this one, as it was a little more expensive. It was very disappointing, the place itself was empty. The pot of tea came 20 minutes before the food. The sandwiches were tasteless. A slice of salty sausage roll. Tiny cup of warm soup. A couple of bite size cakes, and a scone each. Definitely wasn’t worth £55 We were not asked at any stage if we wanted a refill or if the food was ok.
