I stopped by after walking the Windsor City River Trail. I was drawn in by the smell of a lobster truck and the families and friend groups eating at picnic tables looking over the river at fishermen and small boats. I ordered the truffle burger which was a double patty on a grilled bun cooked fresh right in front of me. I ordered tater tots and got a huge pile of them enough for a family to share. Chatting with the owner, Jennifer, it is clear how much energy and love they have put into this business, not only in the menu but in the recent renovations. They have clean bathrooms and ample parking. I enjoyed a perfect night looking over the river, and hope to visit again, but with my family next time. Worth the stop.

Barts is BAAACK - YEAH!! Great chili dog and fries today. First Pic is what I got last year. Below from a year ago: Update: I see it now - halal has been added to the name. Look it up if you need to, but don't go until you know what that means.... What a disaster. If the name wasn't built in the building, it shouldn't even be callled Barts. Waited 15 minutes for the worst chili dog ever. Forget this place Barts is dead

We recently visited Bart's in Windsor after hearing great things, and we decided to try a few popular items, including the cheeseburger and the lobster roll from the Lobster Tales Truck. I opted for a single-patty cheeseburger, fully loaded with toppings, and it was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the French dip, which he found was good but not quite what he expected—he probably wouldn’t order it again. The French fries were perfectly crispy, though the onion rings were a bit too greasy, likely due to old fryer oil. We chose to sit outside at the picnic tables, which were thoughtfully arranged, with some shaded by trees—a lovely spot to enjoy our meal. It was evident that Bart's is a local favorite, especially in the mornings when they do brisk business with coffee and pastries. They’ve also transformed the old grocery store section into a cozy indoor seating area, which was nicely done. Windsor Center itself is charming, with a rich history that adds to the overall experience.

Very good foot long hot dog on a toasted bun. Loved the onion weeds. Outside and inside seating. Lobster food truck on premises Lobster Tale. The lobster roll was fair, very greasy and not much chunks of lobster meat. French Fries average.

The staff was very accommodating. I felt bad for them because the outdoor section is incredibly hot for them. But they were very nice and the food was good. They must be very popular because people were lining up and getting their food one after another. I especially liked the decor inside. I thought it was really cool the way they had decorations that were of some entertainment and they also had some games so that you could play a board game or something at a table if desired. I think that's a great added touch.

Have not been since Bart's was sold and remodeled. I went there many years ago when it was more of a diner kind of feel to it. I was happy to see the drive up counter was still there and the menu looked amazing. I had ordered a couple of Grilled Chicken Sandwiches online for quick take-out and they called to confirm a missing detail. The sandwiches were excellent. I also saw the new dining area and am anxious to try it out. Looking forward to my next visit.

I have been going to Barts for a long time and have seen it through several owners. This has been pretty seamless and the quality remained. On 09/02/25 This changed for me. I went there at 12:10 to get 2 plain cheeseburgers and a fry. No one else was inside. I ordered and three other customers came inside to order. I waited and saw my cheeseburgers placed in a bag and put up on a shelf. I waited some more and then asked if there was a problem with my order as 2 customers who ordered after me were served. I was told that my order was right there, pointing to the shelf. She still did not give me the order as she went to cook french fries. I still did not receive it. I then asked again, where is my order and the waitress became upset and scowled at me. She gave me my order at 12:37 and sarcastically said "HAVE A NICE DAY"! This should not happen especially at Barts where it has been our hometown restaurant for many years. All the waitress had to say was sorry for the delay and they would keep a longtime customer. I guess she doesn't care if I return.

Our burgers were pretty good. Unfortunately when ordering I had said one plain with nothing but the burger and cheese, it came with lettuce and mayo on it. He hates mayo. I ordered mine with mayo on side and again it was in the burger. Wouldn’t stop me from coming back but attention to detail is key in that business. Everyone makes mistakes. I understand. Everyone was very nice.

It’s good place to have simple lunch. Food quality is ok and service is bit slow but overall I can recommend someone who is looking for Halal food in this location.

Its so unfortunate that I have to put a low score on as a review. I am a first time guest and I made the staff know that. I didn't get no help or recommendations. I placed an order for the Baja burger no tomatoes and old bay fries and I get the Baja burger with tomatoes and I get regular fries instead of old bay fries. Having a look at the place I had super high hopes I was even talking to someone on the phone about this establishment and boy was I let go because of every one's care more for the talking and walking around then to make the food I paid for right. I actually lost money on this because old bay fries are more then regular. There was no interaction with staff and customers just loudness from their conversations. Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend a place that doesn't hit all the marks on service. Look at my history on reviews if you did great I will give you a glowing review and recommendation. But it feels like this place got to comfortable and have been slacking on service excellence.

I love to go to Barts. And I enjoy the food. But if this is a true grill place please don't give me little packets of catch-up for my fries. Why do I need to take 10 minutes to open 20 packets just so I have something to dunk my fries in. I always have to beg them to put catch-up in two cups for me likes it's something foreign to ask for, since there are no catch-up pumps provided.

Use to Love this Place. Last night i choked on a plastic Bread clip in my Bacon Cheeseburger. Lady gave me new burger and apologized. No comp. Made weak excuse how it ended up in my sandwich. Young cooks complaining about Job. I can only hope that wasn't on Purpose.

Today I had the worst food experience ever! I live in Windsor all my life and the new owners definitely don’t know how to cook or just don’t care! I ordered a steak & cheese and the steak was just horrible! The lettuce was wet ! I ordered home fries and they tasted dull, no seasoning what so ever! Not even a little salt! We also got chicken nuggets for my little one and she only 4 years old, she spit it right out! I’m so sad, wasted my money!
