Great experience. This is a great place to hang out with a small group. It's nice to have a bar that you don't have to try to fight to get the bartender's attention. A bit on the pricey side, but it's worth it for the benefit of the atmosphere and having a "space" where you can relax. Drink menu is great and you certainly don't have to be a brandy fan to find something amazing to drink.

Perfect for catching up with a friend over a cocktail. The menu is super extensive - they have so many varieties of liquors to choose from and some fun cocktails. Drinks were a little pricey - $22+. The music was not too loud so it was perfect for catching up. Our server brought us a complimentary serving of cheese puffs

I went to Brandy Library for the first time on a date and was pleasantly surprised by their spirit selection. The service was impeccable, and I've never had a server so knowledgeable about spirits. The vast array of spirits and the detailed knowledge of my server, a Japanese lady, was first-class. Their cocktail menu is extensive, which I found odd since their forte seems to be their spirit selection. I will happily come back for their service alone, next time as a student.

This was my 2nd visit & suspect I'll become a regular. The space is lounge like and the walls are lined with spirits from around the world. The staff is uber knowledgeable & the selection is endless. Great for meetings and dates.

This was the second stop of my birthday celebration and I absolutely loved it! I had been here before, three years ago, right before the pandemic and also had a wonderful experience! This time, everything was perfect. The service, the drinks and the surprise treat for my birthday. Luke, our server, was a superstar! He was super sweet. We liked him so much we asked for a selfie! And the resident cigar expert, Hetan (I hope I spelled your name correctly) was an absolute pleasure! Helped me pick out my very first cigar. This is a really nice place for after dinner drinks and a cigar. Can’t wait to go back!! Thank you for the memorable experience!!

My third visit here and it's a great experience every time. The staff is extremely professional and very knowledgeable. The environment is so unique and interesting. And of course the drinks are top notch. (Expect it to be pretty pricey though... $20 pour of Bourbon is what I had.) Spirits up is their specialty. So don't go expecting some sort of fruity mixed drink. But they do have everything - tequlia, vodka, rum, port, whiskey, and of course brandy. Highly recommend at least one - after dinner - visit.

The setting is comfortable and lined with dark woods, part old Library, party study/smoking room. The walls are lines with 1000’s of bottles of brandy, scotch, whiskey and everything else you could imagine. The bar is comfortable, but the perimeter chairs and couches are like being in a study of a mansion. The bartenders are incredibly knowledgeable, mind blowingly so given the breadth of offerings. Enjoyed a nice few hours sipping and selecting.

It’s between fancy and casual. It’s perfect when you want to have a date but you don’t want it to be too fancy. Minimum age limit is 25 to enter. They have downstair area which is bit more quite.

Amazing spot for high end tastings of whiskey, scotch, tequila, and rum. They also do cocktails, tasting flights, and beers. Service is impeccable as well. They only allow people to drink if they have a seat, so it can be tough to just walk in and get a drink - reservations recommended.

I have only been to Brandy Library during the cold months. This place is warm, cozy and inviting. The staff is friendly. The amount of whiskey options in the menu made it hard to choose what to drink first but the bartender gave us great recommendations. The food is delicious as well and pairs well with the whiskey.

This place is very good for a nice talk with friends or for a date. The drinks are delicious and there are signatures too.

Absolutely amazing experience! The lounge-like atmosphere is so cool and very spacious for New York. I went to ask a couple of friends to be my bridesmaids and the staff was on top of everything. They gave us a free appetizer, dessert, and champagne. And the drink menu is pages long, something for everyone. Highly, highly recommend for drinks and/or dinner.

Brandy Library was the icing on the cake of a great night in Tribeca. We weren't sure if we could be accommodated because we were a big group, but hostess Diana made it work right away. She also made amazing food recommendations, including accommodating food restrictions. Then Liam, the living whiskey encyclopedia, took us on a journey trying spirits we had never heard of while telling us the history of each pour. If you're a whiskey expert, this is the place to expand your knowledge. If you're just starting out, don't be intimidated, the experts here will guide you with no judgment.

Great variety of brandy’s, whiskeys, rums and tequilas. Sophisticated and intimate atmosphere. Definitely great date spot. You can do tasting and have professional explaining about your drink. On the way out they give you cookies for to go :)

Had a terrific experience here with my partner and close friends. It was everything I pictured it to be and then some. Definitely a scotch/whiskey aficionados' dream; between the decor, music and hundreds of bottles lining the walls. I went with the 18 & gorgeous flight, which was an excellent combination of fruity, vanilla, smokey and other rich flavors. This place is a must for any scotch/whiskey drinker. You will not be disappointed! They also have wonderful cocktails, like the Tori Tonic, and small plates too.

The term "well stocked" doesn't begin to describe the selection. This place has Brandy and whiskey from around the world at your fingertips, and their extensive menu is impressive. I appreciate that there are tasting notes for each selection, so even if you don't know many whiskies you can still choose one you like. There's also some good food options for nibbles, and a selection of cocktails.

We each did a flight and our Spirit Sommelier was incredibly knowledgeable and helped guide us through our selection. We thoroughly enjoyed our night and ended with the crème brûlée. The crème brûlée was the best I have ever had and a perfect ending to the experience.

Similar to its sister, Copper and Oak, the environment is enveloped in copper hues. The space is much bigger, allowing for lounging and group chills. If you're a brandy novice, they'll help you find what you might like. Good for romantic or intimate gatherings.

Very cool, sexy lounge. Feels like you’d be able to smoke a cigar and play cards or get into some trouble. You’re surrounded by shelves upon shelves of top shelf liquor accessible with a sliding ladder giving you the library feeling especially as you read a novel of extensive liquor offerings. Ask for Tomo as your server - super knowledgeable and hospitable!

You go here knowing you’re going to spend some money, and if you’re going in ready to try new things and get expert advice on your new favorite drinks, this place is worth every penny. The atmosphere is amazing, the couches are comfortable, and the staff is friendly, laid back, and exquisitely knowledgeable. I took my partner here because he appreciates quality and uniqueness in his food and drink and is honestly hard to impress, but this did it! I have been going to Brandy Library almost since it opened. I almost have too much to say. It is the place to go to enjoy and learn about brown liquors. You can take a course there should you choose. They serve classic cocktails made perfectly. It's about the art not about strange combinations. The atmosphere is on point. Jazz on the speakers at a level that all conversation. No TVs and no one standing. The bar or comfortable settees If there's no room for you to sit they politely refuse your entrance. Magical experience and ambiance. From the first step in the door, the staff greet you and offer the complimentary coat check. They check ID at the door and don’t allow under the age of 25. The staff and sommeliers are incredibly knowledgeable about all of their offerings. We got the 3 pour blind stave flight tasting and it was simply magical. I told our sommelier that I wanted a scotch flight from the Isles with finishes. They bring out your pours blind and check in with you on your opinions and guesses on flavors and which bottles you are drinking. It was New Year’s Eve so we were given the complimentary amuse bouche that included a foie gras pastry, an artichoke topped with hummus, and a tomato with mozzarella. The whiskeys were wonderful and the interior design is simply a dream. The reviews that say this place is inordinately expensive don’t factor in that they have some of the rarest bottles in the world, and there are plenty of pours and cocktails starting at $18 each.

Fun decor, good drinks, incredible selection of brandies and liquors, and serves food late into the night. But atmosphere is meh (bro-ey), and prices are very high for the experience ($23 for a plate of unexceptional olives, cheese, and nuts).

I came here on a Friday night for a few drinks. I ordered their old fashioned and espresso martini. The atmosphere is very neat and has a strong brandy/whiskey focus. The drinks are a bit pricey so it's a place that's great to visit but not to stay for that long.

If you like scotch, whiskey, whisky, brandy, rum, gin, cheese, and all things tasty in a place that's charming, go for it. Keep in mind it's not a cheap spot, but what you pay for it's darn good. The staff knows their stuff, too. You're paying for drinks, but also the expertise of the staff.

Stupendously posh, with an unparalleled library of whiskey, tequila, rum and other spirits. The servers are knowledgeable with the product on offer and can provide good recommendations for the brave explorers. Tasting flights are on offer, and feature some rare and unique spirits. The big downside is price. Whiskey's are marked up 20% above what most other establishments would charge. For example an Ardbeg An Oa is $18 a pour vs the $14 you'll find elsewhere (already quite marked up over the $70/bottle MSRP). Cocktails are similarly overpriced ranging from 18 to 22+ dollars, which could be ok if they competed on quality. Sadly you'll get a much better cocktail at Dead Rabbit, or even Pouring ribbons for $6-$10 less. All in all, a wonderful venue, very suitable for being seen and impressing with your wallet.

High end place to get essentially any whiskey, bourbon, etc you can think of. If you comr in a group, you can get a decent sized table to sit at, but I came with a buddy of mine and ended up at a table that could barely fit our glasses and the glass they give for ice. We had to combine 2 tables to get everything to fit. The space is a bit tight too; my seat kept bumping against the seat of the person behind me.

Beautifully and immaculately appointed in dark brown leathers and wood, there's a cozy and affluent energy as soon as you cross the threshold. Lots of copper details at the bar, and the walls are lined with floor-to-ceiling shelves, absolutely filled with every kind of brown spirit you can think of, and some you didn't even know existed. I enjoyed a very well curated flight of Cognac, while my friend opted for the American Whisky. We also ordered some cheese and olives to munch on. Beers, wines, and a modest cocktail menu are also available. Most of the clientele are of the "finance bro" types, of all ages, and I did notice a number of tourists as well. Enjoyed the experience, everything was very comfortable, the Cognac flight was superb, the server was really great and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend if you're into this kind of thing.

Popped in for a properly made Hendrick’s martini shaken (hard) with a twist. Just in the mood, y’know? My order was heard & delivered in less than 5. Quiet. Pure. Pro. The ambience is leather & woods and aged bottles all round. I sipped & enjoyed (of course wishing there were a couple more sips for $25.05 but hey..it’s Brandy Library and there ain’t no happy hour here!) I enjoyed my 2 complimentary gougères, paid the tab & rolled out. Mission accomplished.

Overall the Brandy Library was a solid whiskey bar experience. The variety of liquors available was impressive across types (mezcal, tequila, bourbon, scotch, etc.) I will say the rare bourbon selection was more limited than I expected. The flights were a nice option to see as well - I enjoyed the Smoked Out flight in particular. The food we tried wasn't to my taste, but that was a minor issue. I'd come back again for more whiskey.

Great place to lounge and enjoy whisky and a cigar. The decor is classy, yet comfortable and they have one of the widest arrays of whiskey I’ve seen to date! Our whiskey sommelier was friendly, personable and extremely knowledgeable guiding us to new flavors and profiles we hadn’t experienced before. I also loved the selection of flights to choose from and enjoyed indulging in some of my favorites that were included in the “Smoked Out” flight. I purchased a cigar for the road and plan to enjoy with a bottle of one of my new discoveries from the Brandy Library.

Exhaustive selection and knowledgeable staff. Main gripe is they cap at parties of 6 and you can't do 2 parties of 4 to get up to 8. They told us at that point we would need a room and that there was a min (which wasn't crazy but we were only going to be there for 90 min so hard to justify consuming that much). I understand this policy later in the evening or on a weekend but we were there at 5 early in the week. Anyway, decent spot but probably won't return.

While I had an enjoyable time, it was sort of weird that our group of four was placed in front of a group of two, when the rest of the place did seem like they had other table options to place us. So, it seem a bit odd. Especially when online reservation showed they had no openings yet the place was half empty? The service was top notch though, with the wait staff taking their time to carefully explain the drinks, and advice on what to order based on individual taste preferences. Cannot fault service. A great variety of whiskey. Cheese board was also delicious. It sort of exudes old boys cigar club kind of feel? Ambience...not sure how I feel about it or whether I would come back. Maybe I'll come back to reassess.

Beautiful atmosphere, impressive drink selection, fair prices... but rude service. My friend was so excited to take me here, and right when we walked in, the bartender, Jean Claude Van "Dan", treated us very coldly. My friend, who works at a five-star restaurant in Time Square, tried to get Dan to liven up, but it just wouldn't work. Dan passed judgment on us right when we walked in, and never allowed us to kindly redeem whatever we did wrong. We weren't loud, dressed business-casual (there is no dress code here) and bought some nice bourbon. Despite my friend saying Dan was the worst bartender he's ever communicated with (and, again, my friend deals with snobbishness at his work all the time), he still took the high-road and left a tip.

I used to come here a lot and this is not a cheap place so each night with the team here can reach into the high hundreds. However, after my last visit and what i felt was discrimination that I and a guest had experienced on my last visit, i will not be coming back here again. The hostess was extremely rude. Very stuck up and just did not feel inviting. The bartender tried to smooth it out, but she was just making it worse of an experience. There are a lot of great places to spend my money in NYC, we're you do not get treated poorly.

If you want to be treated poorly and reminded that “strict policy” matters more than hospitality, this is your place. We showed up with one extra guest — nothing dramatic — but the staff immediately turned hostile. The person at the entrance was dismissive, robotic, and obsessed with repeating “strict policy” like a mantra, even though we weren’t arguing or even asking him to be lenient. It felt that he was getting a kick out of rejecting the group. Instead of trying to accommodate or show basic courtesy, they acted as if they were doing us a favor by letting us stay at all if of course, we paid $800 for a private room. The entire experience was cold, arrogant, and completely out of line for a place where people are supposed to go and have a good time in a welcoming atmosphere . If you value being welcomed and treated with respect, go literally anywhere else.

I was treated very poorly by the staff, specifically Emma, the maître d’. She followed me around for most of the evening, which made the experience extremely uncomfortable. Her behavior was rude and unprofessional, and it’s surprising to see this in a hospitality setting. After reading other reviews, it seems this is a recurring issue. Overall, I would not recommend this place. The food was subpar, and while the drinks were okay, they didn’t make up for the service.

I’ve never experienced such shockingly poor hospitality as I did at Brand Library. We came in as a friendly, well-mannered group of girls excited to celebrate Valentine’s Day, and instead of being welcomed, we were met with hostility. The hostess was unbelievably rude and accusatory from the moment we arrived. Despite the restaurant being half empty, she refused to seat or serve us, offering no reasonable explanation and treating us as though we were inconveniencing her simply by walking in. Her tone and attitude were completely unprofessional and frankly embarrassing for an establishment that claims to offer a quality dining experience. It’s baffling how a place can expect to build a positive reputation while turning away polite customers on a holiday evening — especially when there were clearly plenty of available tables. The poor customer service overshadowed everything else. If you value basic courtesy and respect, I would strongly recommend choosing somewhere else to celebrate. No one deserves to be treated the way we were.

While we were looking forward to a nice evening, the service we received—specifically from a server named Emma/Ama—was unprofessional and felt targeted. Our group felt consistently ignored and treated with a level of dismissiveness that was not shown to other tables. It was uncomfortable to feel as though we were being singled out or treated differently based on our background. This was further compounded by the extreme noise levels coming from the 'Chaos' room next door, which made the atmosphere chaotic rather than the refined experience this venue usually promises. Management needs to look into the conduct of their staff and how they handle diverse groups. We did not feel welcome here and won't be returning until these issues of service and inclusivity are addressed
