a Gennaio 2026 abbiamo alloggiato in questo bellissimo Hotel ai piedi della pista STELVIO di Bormio. Posto incantevole , cibo buonissimo molto pulito senza parlare del servizio impeccabile dato da persone cordiali e simpatiche .

Hotel davvero carino, in posizione molto comoda alle piste da sci. Funzionale ed utile la skiroom. Il personale della sala è molto accogliente e socievole. Le camere sono nuove, ampie e luminose. La piscina è calda ed offre una simpatica vista sulle piste. Mi piacerebbe tornare!

Our stay at Hotel Funivia was absolutely fantastic! We spent a few days there celebrating our babymoon in the snow, and the management, staff, and everyone around made our experience truly unforgettable. The facilities are excellent, the restaurant serves high-quality local specialties, and the wellness area is just what you need after a day on the slopes. Our bedroom had the most beautiful view, allowing us to enjoy our morning coffee while admiring the ski runs. The hotel is perfectly located—just a short walk from the town center and right next to the ski lifts and slopes. It’s the ideal place for active travelers, cyclists (the owner is an avid cyclist), and anyone who wants to fully immerse themselves in the mountains. Abbiamo trascorso qualche giorno lì per festeggiare il nostro babymoon sulla neve, e la gestione, lo staff e tutti intorno a noi hanno reso la nostra esperienza davvero indimenticabile. Le strutture sono eccellenti, il ristorante serve specialità locali di alta qualità e l'area benessere è proprio quello di cui hai bisogno dopo una giornata sulle piste. La nostra camera aveva una vista meravigliosa, permettendoci di gustare il caffè del mattino ammirando le piste da sci. L'hotel è perfettamente situato, a pochi passi dal centro del paese e proprio accanto agli impianti di risalita e alle piste. È il luogo ideale per viaggiatori attivi, ciclisti (il proprietario è un appassionato ciclista) e chiunque voglia immergersi completamente nella magia della montagna. Ci torneremo sicuramente!

Siamo arrivati ormai alla fine del nostro soggiorno in questo magnifico hotel… che dire, io e la mia ragazza ci siamo trovati non bene, di più! Posizione strategica per arrivare agli impianti (2 minuti a piedi) e per noleggiare l’attrezzatura. Le camere sono super pulite, calde e confortevoli. Lo staff è fantastico, gentile e attento ai clienti. La cucina è di alta qualità, sia a cena che a colazione. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente , un ringraziamento a tutto lo staff! 👍

Ottimo Hotel, posizione strategica, servizi fantastici per bikers, al mattino durante la colazione forniscono cestino per i ciclisti, al rientro merenda molto varia, deposito bici custodito, area officina e angolo per lavaggio bici, in più servizio lavanderia indumenti tecnici che verranno riconsegnati al mattino. Cucina ottima chef molto attento alla buona cucina con piatti gustosi e non scontati. Personale reception, sala e camere tutti gentili, attenti e professionali. Assolutamente da consigliare e ritornarci.

Hotel molto curato e bello, pur mantenendo piacevolmente tratti della struttura originale. Posizione molto buona, tranquilla, con ottima vista e leggermente decentrata ma solo a qualche minuto a piedi dal centro storico. Allo stesso tempo attorno ci sono tutti i servizi necessari e soprattutto gli impianti sono a pochi minuti a piedi o di pista visto il collegamento diretto con la parte finale della Stelvio. Camere molto belle e curate sia quelle di livello superior che le standard. Ristorazione e servizio in sala di eccellente livello. Ottimo anche il servizio di ski / bike room nonché il parcheggio. La proprietà e il personale infine danno sicuramente un grande plus per la loro disponibilità, efficienza e gentilezza.

Perfetto per famiglie, silenzioso e in posizione strategica per gli amanti dello sci (a poche centinaia di metri dagli impianti) finito di sciare la pista arriva dietro l'hotel. Accogliente la hall con comodi divanetti, un camino e un bar ben fornito. Poi per il relax c'è una bella zona wellness. Il ristorante è discreto, unica pecca per me sono le luci troppo fredde che in un ambiente così stonano. Personale davvero gentile in ogni occasione. Consiglio vivamente

Veramente un ottimo hotel, pulito, ordinato attento a tutti i bisogni del cliente. Cortesia e gentilezza del personale al primo posto. Buffet della colazione variegato ed abbondante. Menù e cibo della cena di buon livello.

Siamo arrivati solo da poche ore, ma tutto è perfetto! Camera doppia (2 stanze ed un bagno) stratosferica, tutto di legno, bagno grande, 60 metri di terrazzo attrezzato, cabina armadio ed armadiature ovunque. Piscina, area wellness con sauna e bagno turco, solarium. Paese molto vivo e ricco di esperienze ( mostre, musei, ...) Non abbiamo ancora sperimentato la cena, ma se tanto mi da tanto...🤩

HOTEL FUNIVIA Oggi lo descrivevo ad un'amica e mi ha detto: "cos'è? Un 5 stelle?" In realtà per me è un'esperienza, di cui sono sempre soddisfatta! Pulizia, posizione, cibo sopra la media e tanti servizi, anche su richiesta! Noi siamo ciclisti, con il pacchetto dedicato abbiamo lo snack al sacco (banana compresa), il buffet pomeridiano (tanti carbo e un po' di salumi) e servizio lavanderia quotidiano. Puoi sperimentare le salite iconiche da solo, oppure chiedere indicazioni o di essere accompagnato, altrimenti ci sono lezioni di fitness, yoga, pilates nella palestra in giardino e...se ti va di non fare niente, prendere il sole o leggere, ci sono solarium esterno, divani e sdraio all'esterno o la grande hall. Basta chiedere! È un hotel sportivo, ma per fortuna nessuno insiste e ti attivi x quello che ti va! Tutti disponibili e pronti ad essere d'aiuto! Colazione varia, dolce e salato, ove possibile è tutto home made, la cena ha tre opzioni (carne/pesce/veg), segnalando diete particolari le proposte vengono adattate. Ecco, do tre stelle alle camere, perché non sono tutte uguali, noi chiediamo l'ultimo piano, forse meno recente, ma intimo e con tanti armadi per organizzare meglio la permanenza e ci piace, ma quelle al primo piano sono più recenti, con ampi balconi. Anche le bici dormono comode -e sicure- in bike room, con apertura gestita in reception. Bene! Buona vacanza e buona pedalata in quel di Bormio!

We spent a week at Bormio Funivia Bike Hotel and could not have asked for a better experience. The hotel is designed with cyclists in mind: secure bike room, laundry service, hearty breakfast with snacks to take on rides, afternoon treats when you return, plus a spa, pool, and fitness area to recover in. The location is perfect—just a short walk to Bormio’s charming center—and from there we rode all the legendary climbs. The owners are exceptionally friendly and go above and beyond. The husband, also known as the Stelvio Man, knows every detail of the area and gave us invaluable tips. They even drove us to the start of a ride one day due to a road closure and upgraded our room for maximum comfort. Everything was simply perfect: the facilities, the atmosphere, and above all the warm hospitality. We are already planning to come back and were genuinely sorry to leave. Highly recommended for anyone who wants the ultimate Bormio cycling experience.

I spent a week at the Bormio Funivia Bike Hotel and it turned out to be one of the best cycling experiences I’ve had. Everything about the hotel is set up with cyclists in mind—secure bike storage, laundry service, a great breakfast with food you can pack for your rides, and sweet treats waiting in the afternoon when you return. The spa, pool, and gym are perfect for recovery after long days on the bike. The location couldn’t be better—just a few minutes’ walk from Bormio’s beautiful center—and it gave us the perfect base to ride all the legendary climbs in the area. The owners make the place truly special: warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. He runs the Stelvio Man brand and knows every road, every climb, every hidden corner—you really feel you’re in expert hands. They even helped us get around a road closure by driving us to the start of one ride, and upgraded our room to make our stay extra comfortable. For me, it was the mix of top-notch facilities and genuine hospitality that made the difference. I was honestly sad to leave and already know I’ll be back. If you’re coming to Bormio to ride, this hotel is exactly where you want to be.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We have just returned from a wonderful week at the Hotel Funivia - and we cannot wait to go back! Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 boys) were on our first ski holiday and this was the perfect choice. After lots of research into the ideal hotel for us, we opted for the Superior Quadruple Room -and it was incredible with stunning views of the Stelvio! Hotel Funivia was perfectly located close to the slopes, beautifully clean and well maintained, the breakfasts were excellent (including my gluten free options) and the staff were super friendly and just brilliant in every way. The addition of the pool and steam room was ideal after skiing - and our youngest son would quite happily have stayed there forever after falling in love with Bormio, the hotel and Italian food! Thank you Hotel Funivia, we will see you again!

Very nice hotel, friendly staff, breakfast is perfect for cycling and dinner is really good. The location is nice, slightly outside the centre so it is not so busy, but the noise from motorcycles going can be quite loud. Overall really nice place to stay, will return for my next trip to Bormio

It's my third stay in Hotel Funivia and i consider them as the best bike friendly hotel in Bormio. Rooms were always clean and tidy whenever i'm back from my ride, their halfboard covers both breakfast (handy sandwiches and bananas for your ride) full course dinners and if you miss your lunch after your ride, they had refreshments after 3pm so that you will not go hungry till dinner it's serve. All their staff were very friendly from counter staff, cleaners, waiter and waitress. The location is perfect to conquer some passo in Bormio (Passo Stelvio, Gavia, Montirolo, Cancano, Foscagno, Eira and etc) Thank you Elisa, Anna, Daniele(Stelvioman), Cleo, Sara and everyone else for providing your best service while me and my friends were there to enjoy our cycling holidays in Bormio, we will definitely be back.

We recently stayed at Hotel Funivia on a cycling holiday. The hotel provided transport from Milan, had local guides, plenty of support and knowledge with secure bike storage and cleaning facilities. Everything was geared around a fantastic cycling experience. Bike hire was arranged with Spot On Bike Hire working closely with the hotel. 4 meals were provided during the day, breakfast, cycling snacks, post ride afternoon finger food & a multi choice evening meal. Stayed for 5 nights to complete some of the famous cycling climbs in the area with a group of 5. The hotel was perfect, with secure cycle storage, great facilities (pool, sauna, steam room etc.), amazing food and incredibly helpful/knowledgeable staff. Would highly recommend.

Great hotel that has a great location. It backs to the slopes and there are various restaurants right across the street. But don't let that be a distraction as the hotel offers fabulous dinners. The dinner menu is changed daily. Also they have a great breakfast buffet as well. This hotel caters to the cyclist. It has a storage room for your bike, a work station to work on your bike and a bike wash as well. They also do laundry for your biking clothes. The rooms are nice and they have big bathrooms. You can get rooms with views of the mountains. They have a small pool and gym area as well as on-site parking. This is the place to stay for your biking adventures. They also provide snacks, sandwiches and bananas for your daily bike rides.

Instantly fell in love with this place. Somebody put a lot of love and attention to detail into everything. We had the bikes with us, and if there is a bike friendly hotel, this is it. Extra pasta in the afternoon. A garden to chill out in the sunshine. A outdoor weight room / gym. A complete workshop to fix your bike. A breakfast to get you going (with 2 well cared for coffee machine). Home made jam in little jars as alternative ... The entrance hall a real meeting place, to share stories and meet new friends. Could write here on and on, but this is one of the few places that knocks it out of the ballpark.

Great base for lcycling to some of the superb climbs in the region. Geared up superbly for cyclists with a secure room for bike storage and equipment room for maintenance of your bikes. Pre and post ride catering is great. The en suite rooms are simple, yet very comfortable. The spa facilities are good too and there is a superb sports masseuse available to keep you going after the big rides. All staff do their jobs superbly be that reception, catering, cleaning. Oh and the kit laundry service is a nice touch too. Would definitely go back if the chance arose and recommend it unequivocally.

The location is wonderful, at the base of a beautiful mountain. The rooms are clean and quiet. The front desk staff are knowledgeable and helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to help my daughter and me work through a lost-luggage issue. I went there to do some rigorous biking, and I loved being in the same space as the Stelvio Experience, with their amazing team, too. This hotel, its amenities and its staff all came together wonderfully for me.

Lo stile dell'albergo è abbastanza interamente, richiama il luogo in cui si trova. Ben curato nei minimi particolari. La stanza che abbiamo preso aveva un ampio balcone con vista sul paese. Essendoci andati in inverno non è stato utilizzato però in altri stagioni può essere un plus. Le camera, tutte in legno si presentano molto semplice con il minimo indispensabile. Abbiamo utilizzato i servizi disponibili ovvero la parte relativa al centro benessere. Un po' piccoline il bagno turco e spa ma l'ambiente era comunque abbastanza confortevole, anche la zona relax. Mi sarei aspettato di più dalla colazione, sperando di trovare più prodotti tipici. Tuttavia, l'hotel si presta bene e direi che tutto sommato l'esperienza è stata positiva.

Good location. A minute walk from ski rental, 5 minutes walk from the lift to Bormio 2000. Very friendly staff. Clean. Good breakfast, though i wish there would be vegetables. The pool is for kids. The saunas facilities are not comfortable. I would recommend the hotel.

The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. This hotel is especially recommended to cyclists. They have great accommodation to store the bikes and every tool in the book for cleaning or maintenance. A big shoutout to the fantastic Mechanic Paolo from Spoton bikeshop that worked with the hotel. He opened his shop on his day off to help us out with a mechanical issue while climbing and saved the day with excellent assistance. Would highly recommend this hotel!

We recently shared a wonderful 5 days at your hotel, enjoying your hospitality and riding in the local mountains. The food, staff service, guides and support were outstanding. Bormio itself is a charming little town and there are many local walks and shops. The hotel itself is perhaps a little tired but this is more than compensated for by the staff and setting. I expected that the meals may be below standard or repetitive but the food was great and service excellent! I highly recommend you to anyone interested in cycling.

Prima volta a Bormio quindi non conoscevamo bene l'area. Abbiamo soggiornato due notti in una Junior Suite in questo hotel in quanto veniva decantato come la soluzione migliore per i ciclisti. Con molta gentilezza da parte dell'adetta al ricevimento la camera ci è stata data in mattinata ben prima dell'orario di check in. La camera perfettamente ristrutturata e molto pulita. Arredamento freddo e minimale piú idoneo ad alberghi business di città che ad una camera di montagna (ma questi sono gusti personali). Priva di balcone, senza nessun kit di cortesia non giustificava assolutamente la tariffa richiesta seppur in alta stagione. Ristorante. Si sconsiglia la mezza pensione in quanto il prezzo non è proporzionato alla qualità e al servizio. Colazione con vasto assortimento. Prodotti confezionati e brioches surgelate. Ottima posizione specialmente in inverno, ottimo il parcheggio e il garge. Servizio di deposito e cura/manutenzione bici eccellente. Nel complesso è una buona struttura abbiamo trovato però sproporzione tra qualità servizio offerto e prezzo. A tariffe più modiche potrebbe valerne la pena.

The whole concept which hooked me was that this is a hotel for cyclists. The website says „Excursions with George on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays“ and “Daniele, Elisa and Sara will show you hidden places and traditional alpine landscapes”… well it took a week for me to discover who George was and, when I spoke to him, he said he doesn’t work on Sundays - the next tour he was doing was apparently for mountain bikes. I never saw Elisa or Sara. I invited myself on one ride with Daniele (the owner) because I recognized his ride buddy. But there was absolutely no information about guided rides in the hotel. There was an info board for fitness classes, why not have something similar for riding?! The hotel is ideally located for some big name climbs and I did enjoy some fantastic riding but it would have been nice to do some group rides too. The good: The restaurant and reception staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was generally very good with a wide selection at the breakfast buffet and unlimited coffee. Dinner was 4 courses, plus a salad buffet except for BBQ night, where we were a little surprised that no veggie alternative was offered, but we did not go hungry due to the salad buffet. The cleaning staff were very hard working, efficient and friendly. The bike room was a secure place to keep your bike and there was a maintenance corner with ample tools available, as described in the hotel website. There is underground parking available at a charge (10€/day, I think) or outside parking at no extra charge. Nice to see fitness classes offered daily at no extra charge. The bad: After a long journey we were pretty disgusted to be met by a very strong smell of cigarette smoke in the landing, which pervaded our room as soon as we opened door. It is a sports hotel and supposedly non-smoking but we experienced this several times during our stay. Perhaps we were just unlucky. The room can best be described as budget hotel for a boutique price. Cracked sink, tiny, leaky shower, small windows, no balcony, dead wasp in the woodwork (!), one pillow about the thickness of a house brick and about as hard, and one ridiculously fat pillow. Don’t expect any post ride chilling. There is a bike park and summer Rodelbahn next door where the host continuously shouts through a loudspeaker. Nights are not much better. The indifferent: The pool/wellness facilities were small but nice enough. My daughter and I often had the pool to ourselves. Opening hours were bizarrely only between 16:00 and dinner time, but they were happy to open earlier upon request. The post-ride snack bar is a nice idea, but was very limited, especially for non meat-eaters. Conclusion: For a group of riding buddies, this hotel could work well. But I cannot recommend it for cyclists traveling with their families or anyone expecting group rides or guides. I could have had the same/better experience in a budget hotel where I can keep the bike in my room; for a lot less money.
