Celebrating our 1 year anniversary at the Seaport Hotel & had dinner at Tamo, it was delicious! And very reasonably priced. Highly recommend!! Why venture out into the cold from the Seaport Hotel when Tamo is right here!
Good good. Excellent service. The staff is very nice. Try the fish from the docks. Salmon Cakes were delicious. The avocado fries excellent. Truffle fries excellent.
Came here for restaurant week with a big party. Some folks ordered off the regular menu and others had the restaurant week menu. Our food took a bit longer than expected so they comped a bottle of wine. Once the food arrived we were all happy as the portions were big and flavorful. Since it's a hotel restaurant/bar we were pretty much allowed to stay as long as we wanted which was great.
Service was amazing! Waiters and staff all very friendly. I went at a busy time and the food still came out at a decent time. Would definitely recommend the buffalo chicken pizza and calamari. Everything was seasoned well. Restaurant was clean, not to noisy, and was beautiful. My new favorite spot at Seaport!!😊🤩
I had an amazing time visiting Tamo. Business casual space but with a sense of intimacy. It was spotless and they respected the guidelines for Covid. I had fried calamari and avocado fries paired with Tamo Margarita. Enjoyed every bite of them and ended up having a second Margarita. Did not make it to dessert but will definitely go back another time for some. Great service and very efficient staff
I really wanted a sweet treat but all the ice cream shops and bakeries were closed because it was kind of late but then I remembered that you can just go to a restaurant and order dessert so that’s exactly what I did. The tiramisu was delicious and came out very quick. Great service from the staff!!! I’ll have to come back for dinner sometime
Very good place. Had delicious authentic outstanding food. We were 5 people and each one had different type of food. Perfectly cooked and no match can be found for the taste you get here. Recommend to try Lunch/Dinner. Wide range of Food items on the menu from East to West. Service is pretty slow.
Nice relaxing hotel lobby restaurant and bar. Good food and exquisite drinks. The specialty drinks are beautifully crafted and use fine spirits and some with real and edible flowers. I had a hibiscus lemonade with a sweet edible hibiscus flower, a lavender Collins with real lavender, a rhubarb mint mojito, and First Empress-ions, made with Empress gin that changes color with the addition of lemon juice. The candied bacon seasoned with Chinese five spice and served in a small paper bag is so perfectly seasoned it will temp your taste buds for more. The chicken and waffle sandwiches were really good. Bacon waffles with crispy fried juicy chicken and cole slaw. The wait staff was very helpful and polite.
Delicious food & great service! We got the calamari, fish &chips, and the honey glazed chicken. Drinks: sangria and beer
The customer service is excellent. I ate here while I was in town for a conference and the personal touch was cute.
Delicious avocado fry's, pizza, burger! Great service!
Can't say enough good things. Drinks are mixed to perfection and the staff is amazing. Food is absolutely amazing. Ordered the Blackened Salmon Burger and it easily topped my list of best burgers to date. Good music while we dine and perfect lighting. This place is a must stop/see/experience.
Recently stayed at the hotel and we ate breakfast in the morning. There was a bit of a wait but we were seated and had a great, attentive server. The food was delicious and the kids enjoyed the buffet. We will definitely go back again.
Awesome atmosphere with very good food and drinks. Bartenders are personable and engaging paying attention to your every need. The Tagliatelle Bolognese is outstanding. Combine the garden salad with the Crispy Calamari for a light yet very satisfying dinner.
I went for dinner yesterday and had the haddock with succotash. It was amazing and full of flavor. We had a starter of lobster Mac and cheese. Another great choice. The atmosphere was very comfortable and festive.
8 of us went there last night before a concert! Ili was our waiter and her was AMAZING!!! He put up with our shenanigans and played along! Best waiter EVER!! The food was also amazing!! Great time!! Side note: drinks were fabulous too!! Get the green tea shot!
Stopped in to watch the game and was treated as though we were there for a special occasion. From the time the gentleman seated us to the bill, service was fantastic. The food was just as good. Kids portion was plentiful as were the adult orders. Seasonal salad with chicken.. sushi roll, all very tasty. We'll be back
I met with friends from nearby Boston. We ate at Legal Seafood and walked back towards our hotel. We decided we wanted dessert and do stopped here. Was one of the best decisions of our trip to Boston! Highly recommend the chocolate cake with peanut butter. Everyone in the group loved their share... of MY dessert! The others also enjoyed the desserts they had ordered and we're all great.
Great restaurant with a great atmosphere, food and service! The food was excellent. Server was very friendly and provided recommendations for how to spend our last day in Boston! Atmosphere was great, perfect for dinner but also just hanging out afterwards and visiting.
First time eating there. The food was delicious. We started out with the nachos appetizer. For my entree I had the shrimp cavatelli. Pasta is made in house which was so perfectly cooked. For dessert, I had the ginger vanilla creme brulee which was heaven in a dish. It was busy for a Wednesday night. Our server Devon was TOP NOTCH. It seemed they were short staffed because he was the ONLY server on last night and I still felt like the only guest there. I watched him run a round crazy but I noticed he stayed calm, cool and collected the whole time. I would most definitely go again. Thank you Devon, for an exceptional experience.
We got two pizzas for takeout that were delicious! The best part of our takeout experience was not the food but the service! We didn’t get his name but the host at Tamo was amazing and helped us with our order right away. After paying we left our card there and he ran almost 2 full blocks to return it to us! Amazing service, we cannot thank him enough!
Fantastic service, food, wine , and cocktail !! Make sure you take the time to try it out !
Can't rate the food as we didn't try any. We came to the bar after attending a concert. It was packed. We were able to get the bartender's attention, order two drinks which were promptly made & enjoy them in our room. The drinks were wonderful. The service was fantastic. I really was not expecting the hospitality we received given how busy it was & we were blown away. He also mentioned that gratuity was included (we paid cash). Of course, when you go above & beyond, you deserve above & beyond. Thanks for a great end to the evening.
Even though it took awhile for the food to arrive (even a small bowl of rice), I was quite happy with my orders! It's also been awhile since I enjoyed eating out. First off, the creamsicle drink was so good, love that it tasted just like the ice cream. Good enough that I wanted to chug it, but the alcohol was just enough to slow me down. The Thai mussels are by far my favorite, the curry's addictingly sweet, with a kick of heat which I LOVE. So much so, I paused my frenzy to ask for rice to savor the curry...which took quite the while. My main dish was the salmon, which I enjoyed, but only because I haven't had fish for a while. I enjoyed the pecan nuts and veggies underneath, which my diet has been lacking lately. For dessert was the smores, which my first mistake was biting into the honey and it got stuck in my teeth lol. Fun Fact: they have a bee farm inside and some of their ingredients are made there, which I thought was cool. Definitely coming back for the creamsicle and looking forward to trying other dishes. Also, the bill was by default tipped 18% (I prefer 20%, but didn't have cash with me).
TAMO was pretty good. We went two separate nights, once at the bar, once at the table. The bar service was a little better than table service. The drinks were all great. It wasn't too loud. Everyone was pretty nice. Dinner was fine, not the best. The desserts were wonderful. I forgot to take pictures the first time. That bread pudding was amazing. We would sit at the bar if we stayed at Seaport again.
The food was good, staff friendly, nice harbour view. Avocado fries were quite nice with the spicy mayo, but too much for one person (8 slides). I was not even halfway with my starter when my steak already arrived. The waiter should check if the main dish can be served out, this was not pleasant and felt rushed. Also had to walk up the bar myself to order a red wine for with the steak. Both wines (oaky chardonnay, cabaret sauvigon) were excellent though. The veggies that came with the steak were already a bit cold when the plate arrived on my table, but they were tasty, especially with the spicy mayo of the entree. Spent USD 113 incl 18% service charge for 1 person, which felt a bit overpriced.
Had dinner at Tamo. The service was very friendly and attentative. The food was quick to come out and fresh. The poutine was good, although a little bland. The pizza was good. Drinks were inconsistent, but strong. I would go back for a bite if I stayed at the Seaport hotel again.
A great space to relax and dine. The staff was friendly and the drinks were great. The food was okay, a little bland. The ambiance and comfortable seating options still make it worth checking out, also a great area to be in to go explore before or after dinner. Check it out!
Tried old fashion and it was good. The waiter was super helpful to recommend things I could have liked based on my preferences. I ordered Nepalese dal vegetarian and it was nice with lemon pickle. Very close to the taste back home. The place is indeed very lively.
Great bar relaxing atmosphere and good service. Austin my bar tender made a great margarita.
Nice place in a fancy new hotel, just a bit pricey for my standards (but not pricey for the area so it’s all relative). The pros: comfortable chairs, not too loud music so you can have a conversation, easy to meet new people at events that they host, and very friendly staff. Cons: it was a bit pricey and took a bit long to get your food. I ordered a pizza to go (to my room) and it was priced by topping count. I chose a single topping pizza (pepperoni) and it cost $23, which I found a bit excessive. But I checked out other restaurants around and didn’t immediately find another option for pizza, so I figured this was better that ordering a pizza from UberEats that would be cold by the time I got it. Once I ordered the pizza, I was invited to stay and wait at the bar. Conversations there were lovely, but I waited for what felt like a long time. It took me over 30 minutes to get served the food, and the pizza itself felt like it had a pre-made base, so I don’t know why it took so long. Hardly anyone else in the restaurant was there to eat (just there for drinks), so I was a bit annoyed when I was still there waiting past that half hour mark. But the pizza was tasty, I’d rate the food itself as a 3.5 or 4 out of 5. It hit the spot, at least, because I was very hungry by the time I finally got it 😅
My food was very good. I had the cheese, bread, meat, mustard charcuterie board. It was very good. The issue was when my dessert came, and it more than half frozen still. It had ice crystals in it. Brulee is not supposed to be frozen, they made the issue right, though. Would still recommend.
Comfortable, well-appointed hotel bar and restaurant, with prices about in line with what you'd expect from a place like this. The service can be surprisingly up and down — our waiter ghosted on us and refused to make eye contact with the table for 20 minutes until Michael finally swooped in to take our order and take care of the rest of our meal. As others have noted, there's a "no-tip" policy at the hotel, which means an 18 percent gratuity is automatically added to your check — but they do give you the option of talking to a manager, etc. if you want to do something different. The food's tasty, the drinks are great, and the dessert is worth ordering — all in a cozy spot good for people-watching and/or carrying on a conversation.
Service left something to be desired. Was with a large party and the dead eyed stare from the server and slow response was disappointing. Serving team was in line to receive a $1000+ automatic tip, you would think they would be excited. Nice atmosphere, rather loud. Food was ok, but I don't remember exactly what I ordered, so not super memorable.
Staff was super friendly and sweet. Even helped me make a decision between drinks I was debating on; the drink of choice - Espresso Martini 🍸- and it was delicious! We ordered the truffle fries and a pizza with bacon for dinner, but it was nothing special - unfortunately I can I had better when it comes to the pizza and they never brought out of truffle fries (which I was excited to try ☹️). The chocolate trio dessert, however, was to die for - just the bit of sweetness I needed. We were there for the snowstorm and got to watch the Patriots game with the crowd at the bar which was a great time.
The place is aesthetically pleasing. There’s lounges right outside the bistro with board games and a fireplace. The inside had been decorated for the season. Checking in, the hostess was not always there. Isn’t that the point though? Hostess was not rude but also not accommodating. If trying to get seats during peak times, expect to wait at least 30-40min. They say they have reservations but the place was half empty. There were enough tables to go around. Do yourself a favor and book ahead through Open Table and not through their website. It comes to an error message. There’s an option to order at the bar to go or sit in that immediate area on high tables with only seats for 2. The bartenders were great. Pretty good for the demand. Didn’t get the chance to eat my food since it was never prepared even though it was on the bill. Again, ordering at the bar and paying upfront. The item was removed and provided but even though the hotel rooms have a mini fridge, it doesn’t have a means to warm it up, it just went to the trash. Such a waste. Might be different for a local. I could say that the peanut butter brownie is so much WORTH IT! It was paired with a roasted marshmallow and ice cream.
Mixed. Loved the atmosphere, decor, and my meal - prosciutto meatballs and seafood fra diavolo. But my sister, nephew, and parents hated theirs - tuna poke (2 scoops of guacamole on top of cold rice, with a little tuna), burger, hot dog. The waitress was terrible, and they added 18% to the bill. I'd go again tho.
Our appetizer was brought, which was fine. Then my husband's entree was brought, also fine. Our server seldom came by but when he went to the table next to ours, we asked about my food (fish and chips: Beer battered fish, with house made vinegar and sea salt chips). The server said "they" must've forgotten. When it was finally served, there was no vinegar and the person that brought the food acted like we were crazy asking for it. He returned after another good 10 minutes wth a little dish of regular vinegar and one with a wine vinegar. Again they thought we were crazy, when this was actually on the menu. Finally ate my non -vinegar food 45 minutes after my husband finished his dinner. They offered him a dessert. He ordered creme bruleé. This certainly wasn't authentic and tasted like some processed custard-like stuff and had the sugar flamed on top. The whole experience was disappointing.
We were quite disappointed. Ordered eggplant bucatini and it was very bland. Lacked flavor, salt, etc. Tomato sauce tasted cheap as if from a jar. Bread was good. Potato gratin was nice but a tiny portion. We paid $19 for glass of average wine. Definitely not impressed. So many amazing places in Boston so we won't be back to this restaurant.
Food was good, martini was tasty but the service was horrible. My friend and I ordered cheeseburgers. Our server brought us our food and drinks and never checked back until 20 minutes after we finished eating. I was completely out of water halfway through my meal. It would have been nice to at least have a hostess come around to refill our glasses. The server was guaranteed an 18% gratuity since it was automatically added to the bill. Not worth it.
Lovely and pleasant ambience in a good hotel with perfect location, easy for weary travelers. Some offerings look quite good, but ours were less interesting than the usual cruise ship appetizer. Charcuterie had only 3 small pieces of good cheddar and blue, but nothing unusual, a tiny bit of nice prosciutto, and large amounts of sliced deli meats- which I typically avoid-and soft goat cheese to fill the rest of the board.
Meh services, the waiters and waitresses whisper the whole time, don't know the menu well, and ours rarely checked on us and couldn't remember what I was drinking (soda water, not something crazy here). The salad was terrible (great veggies and greens) but only had a very gross dressing available asked the waitress and for a different side of dressing and she seemed disgusted and said that and ranch is all they have... the odd creamy green "thick vinaigrette" wasn't good enough and then she had someone else bring more of it?!? (The manager did note that it was not how it was usually prepared, so very well may be better on other days). The poutine was really good, highly recommend it. Great manager that did all she could to remedy the situation with a great attitude and creative solution to help.
My mom and sister were looking for good, local seafood. Since this place accepted reservations my sister booked there. I offered to find something more local, but we decided to keep the reservation since we had our elderly mother with us, and it is difficult to stand and wait at restaurants with her. As I expected this restaurant is exactly what it is; a mediocre hotel restaurant. I ordered the avocado fries because the waiter promised they had no breading on them just seasoning. When they arrived they were clearly lightly breaded with some sort of breading which I can only assume contained some sort of wheat, which I am allergic to. The waiter continued to insist that they had nothing other than seasoning on them. I gave them to my daughter as her fish and chips (waiter recommended) were heavily fried (very dark) and bland and tasteless, so we sent those back. The waiter was very gracious and kept asking us if he could bring us another plate, but I was just ready to leave. My youngest daughter ordered the shrimp cavatelli (waiter recommended) I ate the shrimp out of her dish (quite bland), but the pasta was cold and mushy with little flavor and the broccolini in the dish was also lackluster. If you are at the hotel and do not want to go outside this would be acceptable to go to. Other than that I would not return.
Lovely space, comfortable seating, pleasant staff. The lobster roll, however, was extremely disappointing. It was not chunks of lobster as expected but some sort of ground up lobster pieces lacking in flavor. The bread was good…. Very sad. I was not asked for my opinion, even when leaving 3/4 of the dish uneaten. MP was $38 for the lobster roll plus automatic 18% tip
Let me start by saying that I am not a picky eater. I literally eat cafeteria food everyday at the school I work in and it is far better then the food I experienced tonight. I’ve never sent a meal back, tonight I did. It started with clam chowder that was cold. I sent it back to get it warmed up. Then came the fried calamari. It was like the cap of the old bay fell off and dumped into the food. It was so salty it was not edible. My kids picked at it but ultimately when the roof of your mouth begins to peel it’s a no go. Then they came out and said they ran out of chicken tenders for my son. No biggie, just more bad luck. Then came the lobster roll. It was dry and could have been chicken salad for all I know. Couldn’t taste the lobster between all the stuff in it. The fries were so salty they were not edible. I sent it back and got a salad. The salad wasn’t great either but I was already fed up with the meal. The kids meals were good and $9. Not like the expensive food that was bad. Kids meal was fair. Everything else was way overpriced for the quality. The server was very nice and very professional.
Food was average. Arguably not worth the price, but was totally fine. The service was the worst I've experienced in Boston. Server kept dissappearing for long periods of time. Waited almost 20 minutes after we finished eating just to find him and ask for the check. Then another 20 minutes after I gave him my card. I had to go ask for someone to find him. People with other servers were seated and able to leave before we even got our check. Then we see 18% tip was auto applied to the bill when we were only 5 people and received absolutely terrible service.
Since I was staying at the hotel, feeling under the weather and wanting some hot food, I ordered some takeout. The food was not great plus it was barely room temperature, ended up throwing out most of it. The apple crumble was still cold/frozen and I had no way to heat it up. And they have the audacity to include 18% autograt for a barely edible order... The sangria was really nice though
Meals were heavily fried and unpleasant. Servers were nice, but we ordered a drink as we got our meal and it arrived after we both finished our meals.
When sat at our table, receiving only 2 menus for 6 people…we waited a half hour to be greeted and that was only after asking the hostess twice where our server was. Two tables sat after us were greeted and served drinks before we were even greeted. Once our order was placed, we waited another 45 or more minutes for our food to come out. Again others sat after us received and finished their food before we even received ours. The food arrived and the pasta dish wasn’t even cooked. We sent it back and that person had to share an entree with another person in the party because we had to leave for a show. Uncooked entree was removed from the bill and drinks were comped. Food was not worth what we paid for it, service was just ok. Will not return.
This place is absolutely ridiculous! We came in for a nice meal with friends and had the worst service and experience EVER! We were judged from the moment we walked in and treated very poorly. The waitress messed up our orders several times, the appetizes were brought out after we were finished with our meals.
