⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ El Catrin Mexican Restaurant is an absolute gem. I’ve had a lot of margaritas in my life, but theirs is hands down the best I’ve ever tasted—perfectly balanced and dangerously smooth. The food is consistently delicious. I had the steak tacos with rice, beans, and their chorizo cheese dip, and everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. They’re also great at accommodating large groups, and the atmosphere is unbeatable with two spacious outdoor dining areas that make it perfect for gatherings or just relaxing in the sun. If you’re looking for incredible Mexican food, outstanding drinks, and a welcoming vibe, El Catrin delivers every time. Highly recommend—5 stars, no question.

I live in the area and have tried to come here a few times. I am so glad we finally did! Wonderful food. Wonderful service. Beautiful restaurant. I would love for the ice cream to be in a small container on it's own with churros to go considering it all melted lol but I'll ask for it next time. Catrin Rolls were so delicious! I love getting baja Rolls at other restaurants so I love the twist of adding shrimp. Catrins Alambre & Guadalajara extremely fantastic.

When we got there the place was completely packed. They told us 35 minutes. 20 minutes later we got a table for five and we all sat down. Food only took about 15 minutes to come out. Servers were very good at attending our table refilling, drinks, etc. I had the Xango dessert for the first time. It was so delicious. I highly recommend it. Dishes are very large and you will probably need a box unless you are super hungry. I recommend this place to family, friends, kids. Everyone good place for parties. Restaurant does include a bar, two bars actually.

I really enjoyed El Catrín Mexican Restaurant. They offer a great variety of dishes, and while the food is similar to other Mexican restaurants, the atmosphere is vibrant and lively, with fun music and friendly staff. When we arrived, it was quiet, but it quickly filled up. A nice touch was the complimentary birthday dessert they brought us without us even asking. It’s a very cool place, and I definitely want to go back and sit on the patio!

The weather was nice so we decided to come here for the first time for margaritas 🍹. Parking was available but tight, you could park on the street or also across the street on the lot. There are stairs leading inside where we were quickly greeted by a hostess and seated outside. The decor inside and out was very clean and nice. We chose patio seating and it was very spacious. The server, who I imagine had a long day, was not very personable or helpful with choices, took our drink orders and sent out chips and salsa (some chips were thin and crispy and some were hard mixed together) After perusing the menu we decided on the queso fundido, the hot wings and the quesadilla fajita. The fundido was a very, very small bowl of queso and meat mix. I've had bigger portions at other places 🤷🏾‍♀️ but it was OK tasting. The wings although presented sloppily were actually very good. They had an amazing crunch while being smothered in sauce!!(recommend these) The quesadilla was stuffed to the brim with goodness. It was very flavorful but I wasn't offered salsa or pico which definitely would have elevated it, nor were there lime slices served alongside. The guacamole salad tasted great but the rice was bland. At one point I opened my silverware and there was food dried on them but they were replaced as soon as I asked. As we were leaving we stopped at the bar and ordered shots and the bartender was very friendly and conversational, he got the bigger tip 🤷🏾‍♀️ Overall I'd return again if only to enjoy the patio dining and the bar. Pets are allowed on the patio, wasn't a bother they were well behaved and quiet, I barely knew they were there until they were leaving. 8/10

Have been with my partner 3 times now and each time it was amazing!! We are vegetarian and have never had an issue with our orders here (that’s more uncommon than one might think, but not here!) The margs are delicious and the music will keep ya dancing in your seat. Service was amazing every time

Fun atmosphere... big restaurant with indoor and patio seating. Huge portions. The enchiladas verdes were good and the carnitas tacos were AMAZING... perfect corn tortillas and really flavorful. Loved the Catrin Dip as well. The churro sunday was our favorite desert. Great prices... fast service... great staff. Will be back...

In a market that is saturated with Mexican style restaurants, this place stands out. We ordered the chicken and steak fajitas. Wonderfully seasoned, cooked just right. both meats were tender and delicious. Too many places overcook them but not this place. And there was plenty of meat on both platters, which is also unusual. This is a big space with a patio. a rooftop bar and lots of seating downstairs. Crazy pictures on the wall. Upbeat fun place. Great food great service. Definitely worth a visit.

Food was good and reasonably priced. They have decent lunch specials also. I got the dos burritos and my wife got the shrimp enchiladas. Both were good. Really nice spacious interior and outdoor patio seating.

Honestly, the chips were the most satisfying part of the meal, and I wish they would have their rooftop patio open regularly; the lower patio next to the street is so noisy. The food was yummy but our queso was served already with a thick dry colder layer on top, and my friend's order was served with two limes, one of which was used already. My burrito birria was tasty, but the meat was only in the ends, with the rice and beans and guacamole only through the center. The server told me to order it mixed up and disbursed throughout next time. Really??

The level of customer service was completely unacceptable and appalling! My adult daughters visited the establishment for lunch with a few friends and ordered margaritas. The server, Ida, served one of them without asking for identification, while she requested IDs from the others. They wrongfully accused my daughter of possessing a fake ID, which is completely ridiculous! She provided her birth certificate as proof. When the manager arrived, they anticipated an apology; instead, he instructed them to leave the premises and to contact the police for their return. These are young, respectful adults simply trying to enjoy a quick meal, yet they were unjustly accused and forced to leave, which is both horrifying and humiliating. This is not an acceptable way to treat customers, and I assure you that neither I nor any of my friends or family will be returning! The ID in question was a standard Missouri Driver License. Nevertheless, they served another young patron without requiring or requesting any identification. They must be consistent and adequately trained regarding identification policies. It is also worth mentioning that the restaurant had an unpleasant odor reminiscent of dirty mop water. Do better, El Catrin, and understand that "for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction".
