The associate who helped us was awesome. She was funny and very helpful. I love Pete's coffee. Its a coffee shop for coffee lovers. I'd prefer it over Starbucks. I wish we had a Pete's where I am from. Overall we had a great experience at this location and great coffee to match :)

It occurs to me that counter help doesn't want to interact with customers at other "coffee shops". When you go, everyone is busy filling the digital orders instead of taking the cash in front of them. Not the case here! At Peet's, the body at the counter is still welcome. Thank you Peet's for a terrific experience, fantastic brew and prices based on actual quality. I Love Peet's!

They greet you if you go early in the morning and the coffee as it is dripped and may be some roasting technique and keeping it fresh makes it better than Star bucks! I like the aroma of coffee in the store. Staff are pretty friendly!

Really good coffee....... I'm really quite surprised at the quality of the beans...... I'm normally a Starbucks kind of guy....... and I can definitely say there is a difference I have the Costco Starbucks beans at home and we bought a pound of beans from Pete's and there is a noticeable difference......

I go here everyday and today a lady went out of her way to make a new drink because it wasnt right even though I said it was okay. Very thoughtful and I was grateful! Should have got her name!!! I was there at 4:00pm

Visited here quite a few times for latte. Nice place to relax hangout and enjoy the coffee. Service was good. Restrooms were clean and well maintained.

Stopped in to get a cup of coffee while waiting for my dogs at the groomer. The mint mocha and banana nut bread hit the spot, the service was also great!

A few months ago I was in a different location and was disappointed to see that paneling had been removed.

I'm a regular, meaning twice a week. Congenial atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. Someone cranked up the music too loud over the past year which makes conversation more difficult, and my hearing is fine btw. When I first came in six years ago the music was quieter and was kept that way for five years. Now it's intrusive. There's always some yo-yo who wants to jack up the sound. Whoever said parking is difficult is plain wrong. Parking is more than adequate. You can't always expect to park withing five feet of the front door.

I'm not a huge Peets coffe fan more of A Starbucks person but the employees are nice. I dont like that peets doesnt "complete" your coffee and you have to doctor it up yourself and the station to do that is always busy and sometimes dirty.

Too much “fluff” (like ice???—-how much am I paying for ice???!!) Now it’s $3.70 for a cappuccino. $4 for a green tea latte. (Cup was filled with ice and I got maybe 4 gulps out of it). Plus gouging on the nondairy milk. +.60...Figure it out: It’s thievery Sure they wanna impress you with their smoothness and coooooooolness. But, it doesn’t impress. bottom line, they are simply and plainly cheating you. no wonder I don’t frequent coffee shops. Make your coffee at home. You’ll probably get more done there anyway.

This particular location is not my favorite because the floors are ALWAYS filthy and the behind the counter scene generally looks unkempt, however, I love Peets coffee and this one is nearest to my house. I often opt to order delivery, so I do not have to observe the lack of cleanliness.

They were super behind, and the workers seemed overwhelmed, which is understandable, but they did not seem concerned or apologetic. They made my drink incorrectly, and instead of remaking it right away they put it behind other drinks and seemed to forget about it. I feel like since they made the mistake they should have taken care of it right away.

On Thursday, January 19, 2017, at approximately 0730 hours, I've ordered to go, my favorite Almond Croissant. However, I'd detected, after my departure, that 2 long hairs were baked inside the pastry. Attempts to call the Store (4 times), were to no avail, namely, I got V/M every time. Nevertheless, I did leave a msg which included that parts of the pastry would saved so that Staff can officially inspect the cited infraction. In defense of the Store, this irregularity was probably caused by their bakery... most likely a subcontractor? Too bad. Returned to the Store with the aforementioned pastry and learned that their telephones are down. Staff offered a free coffee and/or a refund for monies spent on the Croissant. Respectfully, I declined their offer.

Flies on pastries and declining service: I’m going to be honest: I’ve been coming to this Peet’s for over six years—whether to relax or get work done. I’ve always appreciated the longtime baristas, whom are true professionals and genuinely kind people. I’m touched they still remember my name after all this time. Even when I lived elsewhere, whenever I returned to Antioch, I always made a point to stop here. That’s how much this place has meant to me. But after my visit today, I’m seeing a clear decline in customer service over the past few months. I’ve noticed that afternoons tend to have newer or less experienced staff, but today’s visit (around 2:15pm on 7/3/25) was unusually frustrating. The two young women working were disengaged—one was chatting with a customer (or friend?) and then continued talking with a co-worker. The other seemed largely absent, occasionally stepping up to take an order. When a customer politely commented on the slowness, one of the baristas replied something along the lines of, “I’ll have my co-worker make your drink when she’s done.” That just shouldn’t be the standard. The phone also kept ringing and ringing, but the barista was too busy....talking. She finally told the man she was talking with at length about she "guesses she should answer that" (to paraphrase). The other barista was no where to be seen during this until she realized patrons were waiting, she came out from the back. I did receive an under-the-breath apology for the wait, but honestly, it wasn’t the delay that bothered me—it was the reason for it. (Also, not to nitpick, but I wasn’t fully confident about the cleanliness of the blender.) I get that the A-team usually works the morning shifts, and yes, it’s slower in the afternoons—but that doesn’t excuse inattentiveness or poor service. As someone who’s spent both time and money here regularly, I left today feeling genuinely disappointed. Also: the AC doesn’t need to be blasting that hard, even in summer. And I say that as someone who hates being hot! Finally, a long-standing issue that really needs addressing: flies on the pastries. This has been a problem for years. The Peet’s I frequented in LA had a clear cover over the pastry case. This location really needs to implement something similar for basic sanitation. I’m not saying I’ll stop drinking Peet’s coffee altogether—but I’m seriously reconsidering spending extended time at this particular location going forward.

I’ve placed online orders and waited over 15 min for my order (from the pick up time) because the cashier /barista forgot to put in my order. I went in for a Pumpkin Spice Latte and. Con panna 9/2/2023. I have come to this location many times in the past and never had issues. For some reason the two women making coffee this time around need to find another profession. Very cold, unprofessional and looking tired from carrying funky attitudes. They were just yelling out drinks...no names. They had everyone waiting looking confused on who's drink was who's. The one with glasses and redish pink stripes in her hair was the worst. I picked up my pumpkin latte and drank some. It did not taste right at all. I went up nicely to the nice guy by register and told him I didn't think it was my drink. I told him I wanted a pumpkin spice latte with oat milk and it didn't taste right nor was I sure it was the right drink since they were just yelling out names. As I was speaking the skinny rude one next to him stated...this is not Starbucks so ours isn't made the same. I picked up her snarky frustrated attitude and I just waited patiently for the guy to fix the issue. Lol...I guess that's why your so angry cause any logical person would know that Starbucks and Peets coffee are different and prepared differently. But I guess when you are upset with your sad unexciting life you would make an ignorant statement like that. As I waited for my coffee to be corrected the out of fashion hair monger with her pink and red dried out hair yelled...pumpkin latte with oat milk...again there are 5 people there...was that my corrected drink or someone elses drink that ordered before me?!?!? She yelled a second time so I assumed it was mine. I left without an apology or thank you. I was very calm and did not say one word because if I did it would have been an issue. I normally don't write reviews on public forums but this place has lost my business. Good job ladies! Your stank attitudes that are a reflection of your misrable lives has lost a customer. Congrats!!!! I will make sure I advise my fellow workers, friends and family that this place is not the one. Good luck to anyone that goes here....you might end up with a nasty drink with a side of unhappy, unprofessional, see you next Tuesdays 😉

Upon entry I stated that I was a first time customer and asked for a recommendation for a drink with espresso and brown sugar, similar to a drink at Starbucks, he said “I don’t know what that is, this is real coffee” I was taken by surprise that the gentleman at the counter belittled me by saying such thing as a first time buyer, the lady making drinks looked over and said “This isn’t Starbucks we don’t make those drinks”, I responded that I did understand that but I was looking for something similar, they were not helpful in any way, he could’ve made a recommendation of his personal favorite and I would’ve loved to try it, instead he stayed quiet, I was still hopeful and asked what the most popular drink was and he said “coffee”. The amount of snarky-ness and attitude was unnecessary.

This Peet’s Coffee is completely out of tune with the quality standards of other Peet’s Coffee in the Bay Area. I don’t think any baristas have had training on how to actually craft a latte or cappuccino - they just heat the milk and dump some espresso in the cup; which is fine if you’re into that. Peet’s for me though was the first coffee shop to open my world to higher quality standards than Starbucks. But this place is like Starbucks with Peet’s Coffee branding.

I walked in a few minutes prior to closing time. The employee in there had her back to me as she washed the dishes and about 5 mins later she turned around and said we are closed its 530pm. What a great way to not have to take a coffee order! Back to Starbucks!

At July 11 about 1:30 pm, i ordered a French Press medium coffee. The barista, a heavy set Caucasian short male who looks disheveled with curly long brown / auburn hair, said “ are you sure you want French press, I just brewed a new pot of coffee.” I said “ yes” . French press usually take a long time to make ( I know because I make French press),so I watched the guy make my drink, and saw him pour the regular coffee to my “ French press” cup.. I would usually wave this off and not write anything but this is the third time I saw him cut corners. I’ve been coming to this Peets for two years

The barista did not get my order right and put real milk instead of oat milk, which is what the recipe calls for. I am highly allergic to milk and I hate to think about what would of happened if I had drunken that beverage!

THE CHEESE WAS NOT EVEN MELTED ALL THE WAY I WOULD DEFINITELY GIVE AN ADVICE TO MANAGEMENT…KEEP THE STORE CLEAN AND CHECK ON YOUR EMPLOYEES CAUSE THE SERVICE IS REALLY BAD ALSO TRAIN THEM ON HOW TO MAKE THE DRINKS CAUSE THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HOW OTHER LOCATIONS MAKE THEIR DRINKS AND HOW HORRIBLE THEY TASTE AT YOUR STORE 👎 I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL

Terrible and snarky customer service. Rude and off putting. Good thing food is cheap bc that's what it tastes like. Don't order through the app. Especially on a Saturday morning. You will not get a refund until you make a request to corporate on Monday and only during certain hours. The people here really just seem to hate their lives and it spills out onto people by the way they treat them. I went here for convenience and now it I stay far away. Please hire better help. This is a coffee shop for cripes sake. Not even anything special. You're better off going anywhere else. Even sugared saturated Starbucks because at least they know how to treat their customers.

Bad customer service On July 7/20/24 at 10:33am Order 20064 I placed my order and waited 30 min for my order. I stood up 3 different times to check for my order. It was busy, and I was trying not to pressure them for my two drinks. 30 minutes later, I asked for them, and they told me that my drinks were there the entire time. I asked to speak to the manager, and a barista named Alex came. She told me that she called for my order multiple and different times... Let me assure you, SHE DIDN'T!!! I asked her to remake my drinks. "I don't like my drinks melted." She refused to make them ( I asked her about 5 times ), and she refused. She went to the back and had me waiting for an extra 5 minutes. Another person came out, and she claimed to be in charge (I ask for the manager from the beginning, who was Alex than). When I asked to speak to the manager, that's who I wanted to speak to ( not a person impersonating the manager). When Bri ( the person claiming was in charge) came out with a full arrogant attitude, interrupted me when I was explaining (she didn't care for what I had to say) she told me Alex had informed her of the entire situation. She didn't solve anything for me. Well, let me explain something. I have worked in retail and customer service for the last 18 years. Issue could easily be solved by remaking my drinks ( I waited 30 minutes). My time is valuable and very important. 2. The attitude from the stuff is absolutely unacceptable, and it's a disgrace that you have people like them working for a great company like Peets. Employees like them derogate your brand, and you will loose costumers for that time of service.

Very unpleasant experience this morning with the cashier named Amanda and a costumer. After the costumer complained with gestures and all that my husband and I were standing on the other side of the counter that’s in the middle filled with merchandise. He told her we were standing on the ”wrong” side and she responded “I just have to keep training them” mind you there was no one else in line we were not on the way of no one else not blocking at all AND we were looking at the menu. We were not ready to order.. I don’t know why the customer had an issue with us standing there but what really bothered me was her response so when we were ready to order we went up I asked her what the issue was and she responded and pointed “the line starts there” with an attitude like ok.. I responded we haven’t been here in a while and I don’t see any signs that show where the line starts plus we weren’t ready to order, laughed it off and made my order. Very rude And unprofessional for the establishment that is.. PEET’S. The whole situation was very unnecessary.

I'm sad this is the only Peet's Coffee in the area. This coffee shop is by far the worst made Peet's coffee! The coffee is watered down, and taste horrible every time. No matter what day or time of the week. When I want to enjoy a cup of coffee I have to drive out of town to get my Peet's made, and what a difference at the other location. I would like to also include the customer service is unprofessional. I will not revisit this place. I have high hopes new management and new employees will come on board soon to turn this place over for the the better.

I only order from Peet’s — it has always been my favorite for many years, which is why this is so disappointing. Over the past month, I’ve noticed a clear decline in consistency at the Brentwood, California location. Two drinks were ordered and both were made incorrectly twice — far too much milk, unbalanced flavor, and poorly crafted. The most recent one was honestly disgusting and I couldn’t even drink it. It also upset my stomach. I called to speak with a manager, but she was unavailable, and I’m hoping to receive a call back. I’ve called in compliments more often than complaints so this truly saddens me. However, after these repeated issues over the past month, unfortunately I will no longer be returning to this location and will be looking for a new coffee spot near my home moving forward.

Very unpleasant experience this morning with the cashier named Amanda and a costumer. After the costumer complained with gestures and all that my husband and I were standing on the other side of the counter that’s in the middle filled with merchandise. He told her we were standing on the ”wrong” side and she responded “I just have to keep training them” mind you there was no one else in line we were not on the way of no one else not blocking at all AND we were looking at the menu. We were not ready to order.. I don’t know why the customer had an issue with us standing there but what really bothered me was her response so when we were ready to order we went up I asked her what the issue was and she responded and pointed “the line starts there” with an attitude like ok.. I responded we haven’t been here in a while and I don’t see any signs that show where the line starts plus we weren’t ready to order, laughed it off and made my order. Very rude And unprofessional for the establishment that is.. PEET’S. The whole situation was very unnecessary.

Bad customer service On July 7/20/24 at 10:33am Order 20064 I placed my order and waited 30 min for my order. I stood up 3 different times to check for my order. It was busy, and I was trying not to pressure them for my two drinks. 30 minutes later, I asked for them, and they told me that my drinks were there the entire time. I asked to speak to the manager, and a barista named Alex came. She told me that she called for my order multiple and different times... Let me assure you, SHE DIDN'T!!! I asked her to remake my drinks. "I don't like my drinks melted." She refused to make them ( I asked her about 5 times ), and she refused. She went to the back and had me waiting for an extra 5 minutes. Another person came out, and she claimed to be in charge (I ask for the manager from the beginning, who was Alex than). When I asked to speak to the manager, that's who I wanted to speak to ( not a person impersonating the manager). When Bri ( the person claiming was in charge) came out with a full arrogant attitude, interrupted me when I was explaining (she didn't care for what I had to say) she told me Alex had informed her of the entire situation. She didn't solve anything for me. Well, let me explain something. I have worked in retail and customer service for the last 18 years. Issue could easily be solved by remaking my drinks ( I waited 30 minutes). My time is valuable and very important. 2. The attitude from the stuff is absolutely unacceptable, and it's a disgrace that you have people like them working for a great company like Peets. Employees like them derogate your brand, and you will loose costumers for that time of service.

Upon entry I stated that I was a first time customer and asked for a recommendation for a drink with espresso and brown sugar, similar to a drink at Starbucks, he said “I don’t know what that is, this is real coffee” I was taken by surprise that the gentleman at the counter belittled me by saying such thing as a first time buyer, the lady making drinks looked over and said “This isn’t Starbucks we don’t make those drinks”, I responded that I did understand that but I was looking for something similar, they were not helpful in any way, he could’ve made a recommendation of his personal favorite and I would’ve loved to try it, instead he stayed quiet, I was still hopeful and asked what the most popular drink was and he said “coffee”. The amount of snarky-ness and attitude was unnecessary.

Terrible and snarky customer service. Rude and off putting. Good thing food is cheap bc that's what it tastes like. Don't order through the app. Especially on a Saturday morning. You will not get a refund until you make a request to corporate on Monday and only during certain hours. The people here really just seem to hate their lives and it spills out onto people by the way they treat them. I went here for convenience and now it I stay far away. Please hire better help. This is a coffee shop for cripes sake. Not even anything special. You're better off going anywhere else. Even sugared saturated Starbucks because at least they know how to treat their customers.

I went in for a Pumpkin Spice Latte and. Con panna 9/2/2023. I have come to this location many times in the past and never had issues. For some reason the two women making coffee this time around need to find another profession. Very cold, unprofessional and looking tired from carrying funky attitudes. They were just yelling out drinks...no names. They had everyone waiting looking confused on who's drink was who's. The one with glasses and redish pink stripes in her hair was the worst. I picked up my pumpkin latte and drank some. It did not taste right at all. I went up nicely to the nice guy by register and told him I didn't think it was my drink. I told him I wanted a pumpkin spice latte with oat milk and it didn't taste right nor was I sure it was the right drink since they were just yelling out names. As I was speaking the skinny rude one next to him stated...this is not Starbucks so ours isn't made the same. I picked up her snarky frustrated attitude and I just waited patiently for the guy to fix the issue. Lol...I guess that's why your so angry cause any logical person would know that Starbucks and Peets coffee are different and prepared differently. But I guess when you are upset with your sad unexciting life you would make an ignorant statement like that. As I waited for my coffee to be corrected the out of fashion hair monger with her pink and red dried out hair yelled...pumpkin latte with oat milk...again there are 5 people there...was that my corrected drink or someone elses drink that ordered before me?!?!? She yelled a second time so I assumed it was mine. I left without an apology or thank you. I was very calm and did not say one word because if I did it would have been an issue. I normally don't write reviews on public forums but this place has lost my business. Good job ladies! Your stank attitudes that are a reflection of your misrable lives has lost a customer. Congrats!!!! I will make sure I advise my fellow workers, friends and family that this place is not the one. Good luck to anyone that goes here....you might end up with a nasty drink with a side of unhappy, unprofessional, see you next Tuesdays 😉
