We had a great experience at The Bar. Garret was incredible giving us the best customer service ever!!!! Thank you for making my daughter’s birthday so memorable.

5/5 Amazing staff and hospitality. Drinks were great and they have a huge list for anyone (alcoholic and none). Food was also great with the prices matching what you get. We left happy and satisfied. They also have cigars here which is a huge plus.

We had a late dinner and some drinks at The Hotel Bar during our stay. The patio and cafe lights made for the perfect ambiance. The leather seats and dark wood paneled walls set for such a warm and welcoming evening. Our server suggested a beer that was brewed just for the property which was delicious. Patricia, our server, was fun and engaging.

Wonderful sliders (try them with a side of BBQ sauce) and drinks. Irish Coffee has heavy cream on top and the Bourbon Smash has lots of real mint leaves for the mint flavor! Mello live music went perfect with the atmosphere. Service was pleasant, personable, and appropriately attentive. Great evening!

The Hotel Bar at Broadmoor is a great place to enjoy drinks or even a light meal. It features both indoor seating in the bar and top lobby area, as well as outside seating overlooking the lake. A really pleasant and fun place to relax with loved ones or friends ❤️

You're paying for good tasting drinks, a relaxed and beautiful atmosphere, and the ability to feel fancy. And it all works! On top of this, the food is good and multilayered. I don't drink, but there's lots of good quality options on there, and a mocktail!

The inside of the bar was packed on the weekend day we visited so we took a gamble outdoors despite the 30 degree day. The heaters were perfect and kept us warm but the mountain views really sold the experience. It also snowed for a half hour and we still stayed warm from the heaters! Highly recommend stopping by for a cocktail!

The drinks are on point and the dang giant pretzel is to die for!!! Definitely recommend, very nice staff and for it being new years and packed our waitress was on it! We never had to wait longer than 5 minutes for a drink which is amazing for how packed it was!!!

Amazing bar with great cocktails and excellent, scenic views. The Mezcal Old Fashioned is one of my favorite drinks and I was glad to see it on their menu. Giorgi was our server on two separate occasions and was extremely nice, accommodating of our group, and ultimately made us feel welcomed in the space. Thanks again, Giorgi, for an amazing experience!

Lunch at the Hotel Bar was over the top. I had the Mediterranean Mezze Plate and partner had the Chicken Quesadilla. Food was tasty, presentation was lovely, and service was perfect. It's not a cheap lunch at $94 for the food, a virgin mary, and a soft drink, but we both took home enough for our evening snacks tonight. I think it's a great value, especially considering the historic decor and the mountain views as we enjoyed our lunch.

Nicole really hustled and made sure every need was met. We appreciated her attentive hospitality and detailed service. She even crafted a custom MOjito for me. The food was great and the environment...well, it's Colorado. I will return for that MOjito! Thanks Nicole, you made our short vist that much better.

Came here on a business trip. And I wanted to say that I have never had to wait for a seat at a bar in a hotel ever before. This place was absolutely slammed packed from about 1 o’clock until 5 o’clock when I passed by it again. They definitely need to make the bar larger or open another one on the grounds. With that said the interior is immaculate. Gorgeous beyond description and they have one of the most impressive high-end alcohol list. I’ve seen in a place. The service is impeccable in our waiter. Henry was just wonderful. Even for being very busy he was attentive, but not overbearing. I knew the answers to all of our questions. This place is going to be expensive. We spent about $110 for four drinks and one appetizer. So get ready! But you come here for the quality and the excellent service not for the prices. I’m going to go back and get some scotch as well as a cigar. Great place definitely need to try the pretzels.

Located within the Broadmoor property, the bar offered an endless selection of beverages as well as small and large plates and desserts. Plan ahead though, they say the wait for a table is about 1-1.5 hours. We were told an hour, but pleasantly, we only waited 22 minutes. The decor was rustic old timey. It looked and felt like an exclusive men’s lodge or club. The staff were friendly and efficient. They brought nuts and snacks to our table once seated, which was exactly what I needed with my “Improved Whiskey Cocktail.” We ordered carne asada fries and eagle’s nest ranch wagyu sliders. The carne asada were tender and flavorful. The fries were seasoned and all the condiments just perfected the dish. The wagyu sliders were perfectly cooked and juicy. We paid 200+ (with tip) and it was the best meal we had at the Broadmoor.

The patio view is beautiful. My wife and I got hooked on the Pan Seared Salmon Greek Salad and ate it for lunch 3 days in a row. The craft beer on tap included a very good hazy IPA, and my wife enjoyed the mojito.

I am so impressed with this institution! We have lived here five years and have never made a visit until today. The architecture leading up to The Bar was exquisite. The bar itself had such a great ambiance, and it reminded me of the Titanic. I got a cosmo mocktail that was so good. The burger and the Parmesan fries were so rich and delicious. You have to get the tiramisu! Needless to say, we will be back.

My parents and I stopped in for an afternoon drink and snack while touring around Colorado Springs. We sat by the wall of windows on this warm April afternoon overlooking the lake and hotel grounds. The breeze was welcomed as we sipped on our whisky. We saw the pretzel on the menu and absolutely had to have one! We had the best time enjoying each other's company in this very relaxed setting taking in the hotel surrounds. I will be back at some point; in the meantime, you should definitely stop in for a drink and a relaxing time!

A friend and I visited the Broadmoor to check out the grounds and the Christmas decorations. It was SO crowded so we were pleasantly surprised when we didn't have to wait for a place at The Hotel Bar. I had an Old Fashioned and it was delicious - muddled fruit and all. There were complimentary apps (seasoned pistachios and corn chips). The pistachios were very flavorful and spicy. The corn chips reminded me of a frito. But way better, like a fancy frito. We ordered the Bruschetta for a quick snack and it was great. The bread was kind of oily but the tomatoes were very fresh so it balanced out. Original Yelp review 12/25/2018

Wonderful experience. Great outdoor seating. Karen is absolutely amazing! She was our bartender last night and went above and beyond to make sure we had an incredible experience. She's incredibly attentive, always checking in to see if we needed anything, and her knowledge of the drinks menu is impressive. Karen truly listens to what you want and crafts each drink to perfection. Her friendly demeanor and warm smile made us feel right at home. We can't wait to come back and request Karen as our bartender again! 10/10 would recommend!

We come here every year and always enjoy the vodka martinis. We were here yesterday (Sept 25, 2024) and had the worst martini. Way too much olive juice. If I’m drinking at a 5 star hotel, I want a 5 star martini. See y’all next year when, hopefully, the bartender has learned how to make a great martini!! We do love the Broadmoor!!

Wagyu sliders topped with caramelized onions were delicious! Pretzel bites were good, but the sauce that came with (pickled beer mustard?) tasted off. We requested cheese, which was much better. SO loud late at night, the wood everywhere absorbs no sound. But we would definitely go back, glad this option was available until midnight.

The Hotel Bar is a beautiful speakeasy style bar. They have bottled and draft beer, cocktails, martinis, cigars, and a fair assortment of food. We have been visiting here for several years, and in the beginning, every visit was great. However, over the past year, things seem to be declining in the service area. Usually, if anything is not right with your order, they will go above and beyond to rectify the situation. We recently went two separate times where once the server spilled one of our drinks over us and our son and did not offer to comp or discount anything. He did however bring extra napkins for us to clean up the spilled Martini on our son. On the second occasion I ordered a Martini that was prepared wrong. When I brought it up to the manager she blamed me for the liquor I chose. With an attitude, she said she would remake it and upon returning with the same attitude, said it was the liquor I chose, and she changed it. I know different bartenders make things differently, but for the price you pay at the Broadmoor, you expect a certain level of quality and service.

Very chill and warm atmosphere. The wall murals were very colorful and a big plus to the decor. The wait staff was on point and very polite. We ordered the charcuterie plate and it was very fresh and flavorful. The views of the lake and patio outside from inside are very nice as well. Would recommend this for guests to try.

3.5 stars rounded up Stopped in to escape a rainy Saturday afternoon. The hotel grounds are stunning and the bar's outdoor seating views are fantastic. We ordered the meat and cheese board, which was about 50% fruit and 50% meat and cheese. The honey was a standout on the dish particularly as someone who doesn't typically like honey. For drinks, they were sold out of a champagne we tried to order so we switched gears to cocktails. I had the Colorado sunset which was a tasty beachy rum drink. We also tried the lemon drop which was fine, and tried to get a French 75 which was a bit of a situation. The first one came out tasting like straight lemon juice, so we sent it back and got a second one that was much better done, but I don't think they have the right gin selection for a great one or the right bartender for balancing it well. Staff seemed frazzled but friendly! Garage parking is $25.

Have only had a Ceasar salad with grilled chicken. The chicken seems to be reheated grilled chicken, which was a little odd. The ceasar salad itself was quite good though. Ill need to try a hot dish if I get another chance to visit again.

My husband gave his hamburger (medium temperature) "3.5 to 4 stars". I give the colossal pretzel 4 stars, he gave it 3.5. Our server Henry was nice, prompt, friendly, and professional (and ok'd the photo I took for this review). Very pricey. Pretzel and cheese was $15. The cheeseburger and fries were $19. The soda was $4.50. Total bill was $51.22, 20% service charge was added, and my husband added an additional $5 for exemplary service. Total experience: 4 stars.

My Husband and I visited the Broadmoor. for the first time last week to dine and enjoy a holiday experience. The Hotel and Christmas lights were beautiful upon arrival. The staff were very welcoming at the valet, concierge and host at “The Bar”. Our never smiled which began to make us feel uncomfortable. Surprisingly, a second server was also aloof and appeared almost annoyed that we asked a question. We chose not to let the attitudes ruin our experience. As we were leaving we thanked the host Ryan for his hospitality and asked him about the parking/validation policy. Our server approached, interrupted the Host and curtly answered the question. As my husband and I walked towards the outdoor area, the server continued to raise her voice and sarcastically wished us a happy holiday. I was stunned and saddened by her actions. The Broadmoor is prestigious by reputation and well visited by world travelers; however, this local was very disappointed in the service and the soggy cheeseburger bun my Husband was served. :(

This really would have been a great place to eat, however, they allow people to smoke cigars on the patio. Yeah, I want to pay 30+ bucks for a meal and have it taste like a cigar. Not to mention they placed us in rocking chairs with a low table. How are we supposed to eat there? The staff was friendly, which was the only upside really, beyond the views

L

The food was alright. Not worth the prices IMO—fresh, sort of flavorful, and seemed well-prepared. The service, however, was just okay. It wasn’t terrible, but it lacked the attentiveness and warmth that would have elevated the experience. A little more effort from the staff would’ve made a big difference.

We went to the Broadmoor last night to see the Christmas decorations and decided to have drinks and small plates in the Hotel Bar. The hostess told us 20 minutes but seated us sooner. We ordered the Wagyu sliders based on the menu/online description and pictures. They were a HUGE disappointment. The buns were charred, the burgers were dry and overcooked, and the various toppings were no where to be seen. Just some very wilted lettuce and traces of cheese. For $33, I expected more. We were very disappointed in the food.

I was extremely taken back by the $30 drinks that were less than desirable. They were equivalent to drinks that I have made at my house and I am not even a good bartender. The waiter brought our drinks out and as he was walking out $12 of the drink spilled out onto the tray. They add on 20 percent tip, not acceptable . 61 for two luke warm half spilled drinks. Save yourself the money and use the mini bar which is probably also unreasonable. Wouldn’t be surprised if they also add gratuity to the mini bar. Huge waste of money. Bring your own booze and enjoy the view.

M

Terrible food (and very overpriced). Definitely do not come here to eat. Our avocado and tomato salad came out wilted and the sliders was sooooo dry. Wonderful service and beautiful views of the Broadmoor. I guess the main draw is the atmosphere. They also charge a mandatory 20% service fee, which is probably why the service was so great.

P
Peter Petrick

Pretty terrible cocktails, and pretty limited menu to boot. Not at all a balanced cocktail. Think elevated dive bar at $$$. Service was superb, ambience on point. If you're looking for some decent cocktails walk across a bridge to the bowling alley, the offerings a bit better but you're still going to $$$. If you're looking for balanced proper drinks go to a speakeasy outside of this place

A
Aria

I was taken here as a distraction while my friend is in the ICU, barely alive. They took so long to seat us and even longer to bring out our food. They demanded our credit card so we couldn’t leave before the food got here because they’d charge us anyway. I have been here for over an hour waiting for my extremely overpriced food. They also add 20% gratuity for their incompetence and lack of function which is absolutely disgusting. I just want to go back to the hospital. I can’t even talk about the heaviest thing in the world without them interrupting for the most basic things. There are only three other tables seated.
