My fav coffee spot! Signature drinks are amazing. I like Dubai Dream (their summer drink) and Tiramisu Latte. So good! Turkey fig sandwich is also delicious. Indoor decoration is very cute. There are parking spots right next to the coffee house which is convenient and plenty of charging stations inside. It’s really an amazing spot!

I love this place! I keep recommending others to try it out too! I’ve tried 4 different drinks and a sandwich and it was all so good! I love the different unique options they offer. The staff has always been so nice. The place its self is spacious and so cute. It’s also a place for all people. I also appreciate that there is parking! It has become my new favorite coffee spot! My most recent drink has become my favorite- the raspberry changed the game. I got the #87 iced.

This is my neighbor coffee shop and they did not disappoint. Everything is so fresh. The customer service is top tier. You will not get bored because the menu offers something different every few times. I suggest keeping a list of everything you try, and try everything! 🤏🏾🤏🏾🤏🏾🤏🏾 01.20.26 Update: my gf and I decided to get out in the cold and support our neighborhood coffee shop, I would not recommend the $3 side of potatoes. We are surrounded by many great coffee shops. But. When we have family over from out of state and want to take them to try excellent coffee. 1888 is the place. We have tried the most delicious and interesting coffee flavors. And their foam is out of this world.

Delicious coffee, stumbled across this place on doordash one day. Since then Ive told everyone I know about it, really good lattes. Had the whole office order and they all agreed, definitely worth a try! I had the velvet caramel. My only tip would be check for straws, they've forgotten them every order I've placed ahaha.

Edit: Matcha is not consistent! Wonderful location and decor but I simply need a consistent matcha to continue enjoying a coffee shop. I'm a matcha girly so unfortunately, I tend to feel disappointed when grabbing a matcha latte out in the world. I usually make my matcha at home to prevent this. On a whim, I decided to try out 1888 and I'm so happy I did! Each time, I've gotten a matcha latte with light oat milk and a cold foam on top. Sometimes you just want a fun little drink you know? I was able to truly taste the matcha, which is something I enjoy but having a cold foam on top gave it a little flavor and it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet! Each barista I've interacted with has been so kind, even with my odd request of less milk. I will be coming here to this coffee shop once a week now so thanks 1888 for a fun drink on my lunch break!

Atmosphere is awesome. Service is fantastic, but it would be nicer to see larger coffees. Especially when it comes to iced coffee. Food is great as well. Had the chorizo burrito, and the kids had sausage ones. They were pretty amazing.

What a fantastic spot!! The staff are so kind and engaging. The owners are incredibly thoughtful and generous. I had the best matcha ever too! Seriously so good. The barista recommended I try it with lavender cold foam and wow did it not disappoint. Tons of space to work or meet a friend. Good volume too, not too loud! Definitely check it out.

My daughter can’t write the review on her phone but here’s what she thinks!- I love 1888 their smoothies are delicious, I love the mango one& I love their Pastries, Their lworkers are really nice, and care about all the kids that walk down from the school & that they are safe, it’s one of my favorite places to get a snack and hang out with friends, love their couch and chairs very comfyyy :) and I love all the decorations there. I would definitely recommend studying here or hanging out with friends!

1888 has been such a welcome addition to North Hyde Park! Our family has a weekly date there and there’s plenty of room and interest for our children to play or read while my husband and I catch up over some delicious coffee. My children love the hot chocolates with whipped cream and their choice of edible glitter. I love their coffee in an iced Americano, but the few lattes I’ve had are great too. They also have some unique and tasty sandwiches and other food offerings I’m looking forward to trying. The staff is so friendly and I love knowing the owners are Hyde Parkers, too. PLUS they’re right next to a great bookstore… It’s a one stop shop. We are excited to become regulars here!!

This is my new little coffee shop! I love all the things about it. Their iced coffee actually taste like coffee and they make it look all pretty 😍 plus it's a whole vibe in the space! Not to mention there is covered parking making it so you stay dry on rainy days. Kudos to the owners.... Y'all did that!!!

For anyone who loves to drink delicious things or eat delicious things, I highly, highly recommend 1888 coffee. 💖

Absolutely love 1888! Everytime I go into 1888, the baristas as are so helpful. I’m also so indecisive and apprehensive about ordering, but they make it so fun and always put me on the right path. Oh and I love the fact that the alternative milk options aren’t extra! Food is also delicious, but I have not made it through the whole menu. Don’t worry though. I will be going many more times! 🤎

One of the best coffee shops in KC! They offer unique lattes with tons of flavors to choose from. Staff is very kind and creative if you need help deciding what you want. Haven’t tried any food yet, but have heard all great things! Super cozy, cute atmosphere that is great for meeting up with friends and/or getting work done. Would definitely recommend checking this place out!

I love the cozy atmosphere here—it has such a good vibe that you could come every day. The food and drinks are a bit pricey for a coffee shop, but the Coconut Matcha is definitely worth it—especially with oat milk, it’s my favorite! I also tried one day the turkey melt sandwich, which was a little sweet for my taste, other day I tried , the lox bagel, bacon bagelwich were delicious! 👍

Ordered via DoorDash because I was in the mood for a smoothie and breakfast sandwich. First they refunded me the smoothie because they were completly out. So that already started on a sour note. I ordered an egg and cheese on a toasted sour dough and it was very bland no spices the bread was also barely toasted while the egg was nice and fluffy there was just no flavor to the item. If ranking individually I’d give it a 3 out of 10. Next I tried the avocado toast and I added scrambled eggs I saw the area where I could add cheese but I don’t like avocado with cheese so I didn’t add it. Lo and behold when the item arrived after my first bite of barely toasted bread a huge bite of cheese more cheese than avocado. Ruined it for me. 2 out of 10, the scrambled eggs were bland. Next I ordered the butterbeer latte and finally something that slapped with flavor. I visit universal a couple times a year and this latte is comparable to the real thing I highly recommend 9 out 10. For a snack I ordered the crème brûlée donut and it didn’t disappoint it was warm and the caramelized sugar was sweet and tasty. The donut itself was fluffy and fully of flavor reminded me of fried dough at a fall carnival. The custard was a great balance to everything. This was also a 9 out of 10. Overall I ranked this a 2 star because while I had two top choice items it failed me on 3 areas including customer service your also paying a premium price for breakfast items I paid almost 50.

When i brought it up to the cashier, he immediately took my burrito and threw it away which seemed suped wasteful. And now today there was BARELY any filling (see my photo). How is this worth $13??? It had a few crumbles of meat and hardly any potatoes and eggs...

Waited an hour for our food and when we went up to see if they have our order they just looked at us and didn’t say anything. Not very apologetic. We got cinnamon rolls and put that we wanted it to be warmed up. The worker said can I give you them and you can warm it up at home. Umm no. Poor service food is good but the hour wait is not worth.

Service is great, people are great, but holy hell is the food expensive! It's not like you're getting huge portions or cream of the crop food, either; it's basic food for eye-popping prices, and that's considering they recently dropped the prices. I don't buy their food because of it. No complaints otherwise though.
