This place is just off of 8th Ave in Midtown and it is the perfect spot for a fresh breakfast. I had the coconut milk oatmeal with collagen the first morning. It was creamy and not too sweet. I went back the next day for a classic açaí bowl and sprouted bagel with cashew cheese and marinated cucumber. Both were delicious. The açaí bowl was a reasonable price for the size. The bagel was my favorite item - soft and chewy with savory and nutty cashew cheese, mixed with tangy cucumbers.
Not your average smoothie shop! The smoothies and Greek yogurt bowls are so tasty and clean. They make in house nut milks and use only natural added sugar! We will be back!
It was by far the best acai bowl we ever had! Not only was it extremely delicious, but also very nourishing to start off the day. Everyone in there was so friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit when you are in NYC!
It's been 4 years since we were in Fresh from Hell and we still talk about it and can't wait to go back. This place is tiny but with a big heart and A as a grading on the window. Had the Kitchen Sink bowl and it was perfect, delicious and looked beautiful. On another ocassion I had a vegan sandwich for breakfast which was very good too. I highly recommend trying it out and can't wait to get back!!
This is the breakfast destination in NYC! I love the tiny place, fresh and organic food for a fair price. I would always come back. You must have been there See you in hell ;) ...or rather in heaven as your food is so great
The BEST bagel I have ever had in my life!!!! I don’t eat bagels typically but wanted to try this out since it had vegan cashew cream cheese on it because I don’t consume dairy. I wish I could have had another it was so good. Also got the clean protein smoothie and was great!
I couldn't decide ... It was to early for me and stil had no coffee ... so I took the classic ... I just tried Açai a week ago and love it ... we took it to go and I were very satisfied ... the waiting time wasn't too long for fresh made and healthy food and the price is fine for NYCity ... I think ... so thumbs up and I'll come back next time
Been here twice. I ordered the Hell’s Kitchen Sink açaí bowl. The flavor does not disappoint. It was warm enough inside to sit down and remove my jacket; which is very important to me. The staff are very warm and friendly. Whenever I’m in the neighborhood this is definitely where I will go for an açaí bowl. I wish the fruits were organic; although I’m sure that would drive up the cost.
The acai bowls were absolutely incredible. You can truly taste freshness in the fruit. Would definitely recommend to anyone
Best açaí bowl I’ve had. The gentleman who assisted me was so nice as well
Hands down the best açaí bowl spot in the city! Make sure to get the Hell’s Kitchen Sink! It is a perfect blend of nuts, granola, seeds, fruit and almond butter to leave you feeling satisfied. Their blend of açaí is one of my favorite and after having theirs, you won’t want to have it from anywhere else. This is something I would have no problem eating everyday! I highly recommend this place!
I’ve been on an açaí bowl kick lately and I was happy to find many options in NYC. I had the Hell’s Kitchen Sink and it’s the best. I loved the abundance of crunchy toppings. The final kickers were the peanut butter and cacao nibs. Very friendly staff too! I’m planning to eat here at least once a day during my stay.
Like I'm going to pass up a juice shop called Fresh From Hell! Beautiful smoothies, incredible juices, lovely staff. I was melting in the heat today and needed a cold, nourishing lunch on-the-go. The Açai Deluxe smoothie was just the thing to keep me going. I plan to drink my way through the menu in the coming weeks. 😎
I am an Acai Bowl addict and I must say I am obsessed with the ones sold here. My favorite is the "Hell's Kitchen Sink" if you LOVE peanut butter like I do you would LOVE this one. Everything is just so fresh and delicious. What I also love about this place is how friendly the staff is, They are always welcoming and friendly even if the place is packed. Thank you Ronny for the best service you provide whether it is in person or through the phone, Also a big thank you to Alicia, Gregorio and Giovanny. I am craving a bowl now. 🙈
THE BEST spot in Hells Kitchen/Central Park/Times Square area for a healthy smoothie and snacks! I stayed at the South point of Central Park and this was about a 5 minute walk, maybe 10 from Times Square. Extensive menu of smoothies with a wide variety of great options + a variety of non dairy milk options. Their vegan bagel sandwich was UNREAL, i ate at this place all 3 of my mornings in NYC. Service is speedy and friendly, quaint seating area, free wifi, great location! Depicted is the Collagen Glow smoothie (Banana, pistachios, collagen protein, coconut, kale, spinach, Medjool dates, coconut milk), C+ Cold Pressed Juice (Turmeric, lemon, ginger, pink grapefruit, orange) and Vegan Sprouted Bagel (With cashew cream cheese and marinated cucumber)
Absolute best acai bowl in the city. Fresh From Hell has friendly staff and quality, pure acai. The fresh fruit is delicious and presented beautifully. Places like Juice Generation could stand to take some notes from them. Instead of blending acai packets with almond milk, Fresh From Hell does it right. I'm so glad we found this place, a new favorite.
Stellar place with real quality stuff. Love the Hell’s Kitchen Sink! The girl and the guy who work there are fantastic and the reason I keep going back!
Peace to whom ever is reading, I came here for the first time today and was welcomed into the cute establishment by the lovely worker Ronny. Customer service was a 10/10 which is what I look for first walking into an establishment before I even check out the menu. I like to be recognized and greeted. Now on to the product itself the acai bowl was so delicious. I got the classic without all the seed options and added peanut butter & cacao nibs. Only thing I would change is no strawberries added I think I’m just not a fan of them anymore. All in all if you’re looking for or deciding to visit an acai bowl establishment this is the right place. Enjoy & tell them Cloud sent you. Ps: I also had the Lemon Twist which was very refreshing for the juice lovers in the back !
Googled best acai bowls in NY before our trip. Delighted that Fresh From hell was a stroll from our hotel. The acai was delicious, fresh fruit, loads of yummy goodness. Huge bowl kept me going all day and craving more. Definitely a must for acai lovers in NY. Will be back daily on our week long trip. Services is superb Happy family.
Hi I am that customer that orders her acai bowl for every single meal. The nutritional value is so complete and wholesome, and the flavor and texture really gets me excited on the daily! 🥰 My go-to are "flu shots" for morning green juice (bitters are good to get the stomach digestives to rev up), and "classic bowl" or the "hell's kitchen sink" (add extra Nutella 🤝) for meals. Their food is always super fresh and delicious. During winter season, my go-to was their butternut squash soup. YUM. I hesitated leaving review because it has been my special little gem in NYC but what better way to celebrate local business that makes you happy everyday without fail, than to leave a meaningful review 🥺💗 thank you team and thank you Gio for leaving me a kind note today!
It does feel a little hard to find fresh and healthy food that isn't super expensive in new york. If you are looking for a healthy, delicious and quick breakfast I would highly recommend coming here. They don't have a lot of seating as it's a small and popular spot, so you might have to takeaway and find somewhere else to enjoy.
Great wee place for good healthy breakfast , only on holiday but will be back when next in NYC
Probably the best Acai Bowl of NYC Very fresh! Nice Service
We stopped at Fresh from Hell and really enjoyed it. We had the Creamy Coconut Oatmeal Cream Bread and the Hell’s Kitchen Sink Bowl — both were prepared quickly and tasted delicious. The freshly squeezed orange juice was a great touch. A well-made, healthy option and a perfect way to start the day in New York!
Exceptionally impressive atmosphere! Employees here treat customers like old friends. It's a good thing I plan to come back here very regularly to try them all. You'll find outstanding cuisine in this small space. My visit was remarkably good.
Such a great place for fresh and healthy food! Lots of choices and great quality too! Very attentive to the customer, and went out of their way to make sure I had all my questions answered as I have lots of dietary restrictions! Would definitely recommend! The acai base was really thick and smooth and stayed that way while eating the bowl. The flavor combination was terrific and tasted really really good! The fresh orange juice was super delicious!!!
Ate breakfast here two days in a row. Had the Italian Acai bowl. Was absolutely delicious! Acai was almost like an ice cream (non dairy, of course), and it included chia seeds, granola, blueberries, strawberries, and bananas. Fruit was fresh and delicious (strawberries were especially delectable)! It was topped with a pistachio sauce that was to die for. Highly, highly recommend (I went back, didn't I). : )
This place is so good! Located in Hell's Kitchen, it's just a few blocks from Times Square. Well worth the walk! We wanted something relatively affordable and healthy. That's hard (impossible) to find in Times Square. This is a small little shop. Just a few bar style seats at the edge of the shop. The employees are friendly and helpful. The salads are really good- you get 3 toppings from the display fridge on a bed of greens. Their basil dressing is ! We did the beets, lentils, and brussel sprouts. Hmmm! also, the green machine smoothie was prime. Definitely come here!
Acai bowl and smoothies are fresh and delicious. Restaurant is small, so mostly for takeout, although there were a few tables and high top chairs. Service is good but slow as they make it fresh in front of you. A great healthy breakfast option though!!
Cute juice bar. I got the vitiamin C one. Be advised it is very tangy!! They are 100% natural. It is very small. Only 2 seats but the staff was nice. The prices are about 7-8 for the juices. They also have healthy snacks and sandwiches. My pictures include a large and small so you get an idea of size.
Edit - second visit: gave it a second chance and ordered Hawaiian Lover. I might just not be the fan of the açai bowl here. I used to have organic açai base a friend made at home, or those bowls in California taste better. I could still feel the spoiled fruit taste in the acai base, but I started to get used to the sweetness. Fruits are fresh and tasty as always. First visit: Ordered a classic açai bowl. It was packed well and looked pretty, but the taste was rather disappointing. The acai base tasted like spoiled fruits with a little bad smell, and it was way too sweet. Neither do they have nutrition facts, so I don’t know how much sugar was put in. The fruits were fresh and good. I would give the shop a second try and see if there’s any improvements to adjust my review.
Was looking for a healthy place to eat and found this hole in the wall. As soon as we walked in we realized the A/C was broken. It was pretty warm inside but people were still eating there. The place was tiny. There maybe two small tables and seats along the wall and window. Their classic acai bowl was really fresh and tasty. I added granola to make it more filling. They gave us a bowl that sure had character. I could tell many people had used this bowl before me.
We went here twice for breakfast during our stay in New York. Excellent fresh, healthy food with many vegan-friendly options. The shop is very small and quite busy so it can get pretty cramped whilst waiting for your meal. Service is friendly and quite fast considering that everything is made fresh to order. Our only real negative was the price. Both occasions cost us about $60 USD for breakfast for two people. Possibly normal for New Yorkers but as Australians, we found it very expensive. However if your priority is super healthy, fresh food, you’d be hard-pressed to beat this place.
Delicious bowls, quick service, however a bit small place, no washroom. It was nice that we were able to bring the coffee from the next door cafe. Good pricing. They have a big variety. I just removed one star, cause the tables were a bit dirty after previous customers. Other than that - everything was perfect!
Our bowls were small and frozen solid, maybe because we ordered them to go. They tasted good, the customer service was good, but considering the price I was disappointed with the texture of the bowl base and the size. :-/
I got the açaí bowl and it was not great. It was very icy (so either they mixed it with water or it was frozen for too long). The fruits on top were fresh and a generous portion. A/C didn’t work or was very low so it was quite hot there (I was hoping my açaí would melt but it didn’t). When I ordered I asked if they have lemonade and I was told they don’t . Only when I set down I saw that they have strawberry watermelon lemonade - I guess the person at the cashier doesnt know her menu.
Slow service, sadly dilapidated bagel (see picture), decent acai bowl. Prices also increased. Around the corner on 9th Avenue is a similar place called Juice Generation which has better service, cheaper acai bowls, and larger portions (at time of writing). Would recommend trying them first.
I am a frequent smoothie drinker in the neighborhood and I would recommend going to juice generation on 45 and 8th and skipping this place all together. The smoothies at Fresh from Hell are $1 more and surprisingly smaller. The place has a fine ambiance and the smoothie was fine. I will admit I am writing this review a bit perturbed as I was there for nearly 15 minutes waiting for a smoothie and when I asked why they said it was due to the influx of seamless orders. I understand being busy but making people wait 15 minutes on a bustling morning commute seems unacceptable.
The smoothie was very good. I also ordered a sandwich. The bread was fresh and delicious . I was shocked to see literally one single slice of salami though. I'm not asking for a pound of salami, but I feel that ONE single thin slice is an outrageous rip of for a 9$ sandwich... tried to call them and the number didn't work....
The acai bowl i had was not good and very little fruit was put in. Update- i decided to give this place another try because in all fairness the first day i tried it, they were having technical/electrical issues. the acai bowl was a big puddle with the fruits completely sinking in. Today It was better then before however i have definitely had better and cheaper. I paid $14 for the chocolate lover. It is small compared to the ones i have had at other places.. almost chipped a tooth from the chocolate crunch things. I would not go to it again because it is definitely not worth the money.
Had the Dream Date oatmeal. The service was really slow, the portion incredibly small, the dates were just cut up into big pieces and not blended in, the chia seeds just sprinkled on top so you can't even digest them properly, and the taste was disappointing as well. Not worth the price. I'm still hungry.
Wouldn't recommend their acai bowl. Looks really good in the product photos, but very standard in person. The acai isn't anything special and is overpriced for what you're getting. The person at the counter was very quick, making it though!
No no nooo. Should've given my completely rock hard frozen acai bowl right back. Wanted to dine in but that plastic spoon was like paper covering rock. And the counters were sticky and the toppings tasted a bit off. Should've just handed the bowl back for a refund but didn't wanna get in a cat fight with the employee loudly watching tiktoks without headphones. Got home and even with a metal spoon the acai was icy and low on flavor.
