Seeyamañana is a go-to spot for chill vibes and top-notch drinks. Tucked away down those stairs, it's got that cool Mexican bar vibe nailed. I ordered their whiskey sour with bitters, and wow, it was delicious – perfectly balanced. The freshly squeezed grapefruit juice was a game-changer too, so refreshing! Whether you're winding down after a long day or kicking off the weekend, this place hits the spot. Definitely coming back for more!
I went to this restaurant last weekend with my friend while I was visiting in New York City and it was so cool. Definitely a very fun underground vibe. We shared the chips and salsa warning The salsa was very spicy and I got the fish tacos and she got the birria Slider, both of which were so good. The margaritas were also amazing.
Unreal tacos!! We sat here while waiting to get into Patent Pending last night. The pork belly tacos are best in the city. Also Mal the bartender shakes the best margarita on the east coast.
Love this place. The Birria quesadilla is one of my favorites in the city and the fish tacos are fantastic. The bartenders are always so nice and knowledgeable about agave spirits. Great selection of tequila and mezcal. The vibe can vary day to day with dj’s on Fridays or Saturdays playing a great selection of Latin music.
I really enjoyed my time here — the atmosphere was warm with a touch of subtle exotic charm. The person in charge was very pleasant. I definitely recommend it for a night out with friends — I went alone, but still had a great time for my last night at NYC.
The best place for some great cocktails and Latin vibes. Seeyaabajo hosted my 27th birthday and it was amazing. The staff was so welcoming and accommodating. Not to the mention the cocktails were delicious. Thank you!
What can I say about this place that others haven’t? I arrived 30 minutes early for my reservation and decided to wait at a bar, which had a great aesthetic. The staff was incredibly nice, and the hospitality was amazing. The bartender made me one of their signature cocktails, the Tenme Baby, which was delicious. It turns out I was already at the restaurant I was looking for! The food was both comforting and delicious—each bite was truly exquisite. I highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience.
A cozy little spot with amazing Mexican food that feels like a true hole-in-the-wall find. The bartenders are super friendly and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. If you love spice, definitely ask for the spicy green sauce—it’s the real deal and will not disappoint
The bartender Mel is a true hospitality professional! Her vibe and her drinks are unmatched! Most people are lucky to meet people with the energy she gives off. Perfect place for service, comfort and fun especially if Mel is there!
We got the enchiladas, pork belly tacos and chips and guacamole and I have no complaints, all of the food was so flavorful! We will definitely be going back. We also were able to be seated immediately without a reservation on a Saturday night. It wasn’t super busy and the service was excellent.
This restaurant was one of my highlights during my trip to NYC back in December! We booked a reservation and decided to eat in the downstairs part of the restaurant. The service was amazing and the food was fantastic. This was legit one of the best fish tacos I have ever had in my life. The micheladas were also the greatest and I still dream about them months later! I recommend this place to everyone who mentions visiting the city because of how amazing it is. If I didn’t live across the country, I would visit this place daily.
This was an amazing restaurant and I highly suggest you check it out. Ambiance: I love the vibe. It’s subtle and feels like a cozy local spot mixed with upscale decor. It makes you feel comfortable and also like you’re having dinner at a nice place. It’s a good spot for a date. They have a really nice table tucked away by the windows for 2 people. Food: I really enjoyed the food here. They had so many great vegetarian options and it was nice to be confused about what I wanted. Started with the chips and salsa, 2 of them felt really fresh and were well seasoned. The third was a pico de gallo and tasted like one. The last one was a chili sauce, was spicy but felt a bit too oily for me. The chips were clearly freshly made and were thick and crispy. For appetizers we got the taquitos, delicious. Crispy and didn’t feel over fried. It had the right amount of filling in it and the salsas it came with complimented it well. We also got the fried zucchini blossoms. They were amazing and such a unique take on zucchini blossoms. They were crispy and the filling was a good blend. As my main I got the mushroom barbacoa plate. The mushrooms were really good and well marinated. I liked that they had a different blend of mushrooms and it was smoky and spicy. Happy hour special: they have a great happy hour special from 4-6pm. It’s discounted appetizers: nachos, chips and salsa etc. and also discounted drinks. Service: it was fast and everyone was friendly and helpful. Insta: @TheShahLALand
Phenomenal! Some of my favorite Mexican food in the city. Definitely start with the chips and salsas, it comes with four flavors and they are all SO good and interesting. The street taquitos and birria quesadilla are both a must and perfect for sharing or on their own as a main. For dessert, their flan is the BEST flan I've ever had. I love the drinks here as well, personal favorite is the sea salt followed by the sage and the coconut. Vibe is perfection, I can't wait to go back!
The ONLY issue with this place is that there is nowhere to put your jacket or bag if you are seated at a high top table. With backless stools, seating arrangements quickly become awkward and uncomfortable when trying to figure out where possessions should go -- especially with winter jackets. Food and drinks while a little pricey were fantastic. Service was spot on. Overall enjoyable evening.
Was confused on who to speak to in order to be sat, but we managed to sit downstairs which was pretty nice. The vibes were chill, upstairs was definitely busy, as for food wise the birria was really good and I got to try a beer drink that had tajin and chamoy I believe? Pretty good as well. Customer service was friendly too despite attending so many people at once.
The presentation of the food was appealing, but unfortunately, the taste didn't match the appearance. I'm quite amazed that even a Mexican restaurant struggled with something as basic as preparing guacamole; it was so sour that we couldn't finish it. The seating area was cramped, and the loud music made it difficult to communicate with the server or anyone else at our table. I ended up spending $50 plus a 20 percent tip on a meal that was disappointing. The restaurant seemed strategically designed to encourage drink orders, likely due to higher profit margins in that area. Won't recommend!
Seeyamanana is a decent option for after-work drinks, mostly because it is in a nice, well-located area and the happy hour prices are really good. The food deals during happy hour are excellent, and the guacamole is great. The churros, on the other hand, were extremely sweet and probably too much for most people. Note: happy hour ends at 6pm. The servers were pretty nice overall and friendly enough, but out experience was marred by some ambiance issues. First, the music was insanely loud. This was during a time when our group of eight was literally the only group in the restaurant. We asked if the music could be turned down and were told it could not be done, which felt unnecessary and kind of inflexible given the situation. The bigger issue was a safety problem near the entry staircase. There is a very low ceiling at the end of it and one of my friends hit his head on it and was actually injured. When he mentioned it to the server, the response was basically "that’s just how it is" or something, which came off as very flippant. It was especially frustrating because this could easily be a serious liability issue if someone gets hurt badly. Overall, this spot has great happy hour pricing and some solid food, but the noise level, the hazardous low ceiling, and the dismissive response to an actual injury really take away from what could otherwise be a good after-work spot.
I go there once in a while after work. I am in industry as well. Last time a server included 20% gratuity for drinks of party of 2, which never happened before. It felt like racial profiling. Made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I don’t think that owners or managers aware of that.
Food is good, but they charge an automatic gratuity so the staff doesn’t seem to care about service. I asked if I could grab a table for friends and the server said “Sure. you can sit at the table or the bar” then pulled a seat out at the bar for me. I asked if I could sit at the table as I waited for my friends who were 5 minutes away. The server rudely said “Sit here at the bar.” Keep in mind, there were 3 empty tables at this time. I asked a couple of more times, and she finally let me. My friends arrived shortly after. It took almost 30 minutes to get chips and salsa on the table. After about an hour, the server came up to us and said there’s a 2 hour limit on tables so we had to wrap up soon. We were never informed of this, even when I was asking about the table before my friends had arrived. Keep in mind, we had just finished our food and I had only been sitting at this table for 1 hour, my friends maybe 50 minutes. We had about 40 minutes left at our table, and the server threw down our check to get us to leave even though we were planning to order another item. At that point, we were so angry that we left.
