It’s a beautiful little Irish pub in jack London square. The food was awesome and so was the dessert. The place was cozy and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.

Good atmosphere. Oscar Wilde portrait welcomes you or maybe he’s judging you as you enter the venue. One of the best Guinness and fish and chips I ever had.

This is by far the BEST fish I had ever tasted on a fish a chips order. The red cabbage coleslaw was a perfect side! 😎🤙 The Irish Seafood Clam chowder was also really good. Different but in a good way 🙌. Decoration of the place is really beautiful. Music is great! And staff very attentive and friendly.

Visit Ireland without the cost of a plane ticket or the jet lag. Beautifully designed, Slainte recreates the look, sound and feel of an Irish pub right in Oakland on Broadway off of Jack London Square. As is the case with Irish pubs families are welcome. There is a seating area for meals and conversation separate from the bar area.

This place transports you directly to the emerald Isle. The instant you walk in the door and are welcomed by some of the fantastic crew you know you are at the right place. The decor is all from the auld country, Irish photos and souvenirs adorn every wall and shelf. The owner came over from Co.Donegal and knew exactly what she was doing when she opened the place! As for the food, 🤗 words can't describe well enough. I will just say that every bite I put in my mouth transported me back my mother's kitchen in Ireland where I was raised. Cooked to perfection and obviously sourced very carefully. Enjoy the varied menu, but it's hard to beat the "Full Irish", a breakfast you will never forget 👍 If you are in the bay area, get on over to Jack London square in Oakland and visit, thank me later 💚

My favorite place to grab a drink in Oakland. It has a true pub feeling, not fancy but very cozy. They have an extensive whiskey selection with some really hard to find bottles. The prices are really reasonable too for the Bay. The pork belly and curry and chips are awesome!

First time to visit here and it was truly an Irish experience! Great location on the corner within a block of Jack London Square. Went for a Sunday breakfast when they open at 11 :00a.m. Must get the Full Irish Breakfast, plus their Irish coffee is the best I've ever tasted. Our server, Jules, was everything you could ask for - we will be returning! p.s. How could I have forgotten - after walking around the Square, we returned to savor the Guinness Ginger Cake and apple pie. A very Irish ending to our morning!

My favorite Irish pub in the bay! The atmosphere and decor of the place is fantastic and the food is absolutely divine. This is the best Irish food I’ve ever had, and a class above any pub food. If you love Irish whiskeys they have 185 available; I’m no expert but they have pretty much every distillery I’ve ever heard of. As for the staff, they are absolutely fantastic. Our waitress, Amber was so sweet, gave great recommendations, and took the time to talk with us during slow moments. The bartender, Lucas, was also awesome! As for life events, have live Trad every Sunday at 4 pm too; can’t wait to check this out. If you’re around Jack London Square Sláinte is a can’t miss!

My kid has been coming here with their dad for about a year now and they've been raving about the lamb sliders and Brussels sprouts. We finally had a chance to come on a Tuesday night and it was just as charming as they described. We got the lamb sliders and requisite Brussels sprouts, but I misunderstood and thought they said they could polish most of that off by themselves, so I got the fish sandwich (that came with house made chips). Wasn't sure if they meant UK dtyle chips which are what we consider French fries, or if they meant American potato chips, aka crisps. The portions are generous on all three dishes. I took a bite of my kid's lamb sliders, which was juicy, tender, and the lamb patty cooked perfectly. My fish sandwich had a healthy portion of fried cod, but too much slaw and tartar sauce- made for a super messy, drippy sandwich that sogged out the poor potato roll trying to hold it all together. The Brussels sprouts are a good way to make you believe you're eating healthy (they're vegetables!) when you're gobbling down a plate of deep fried goodness 🤣 good thing they didn't feel greasy or laden with oil. Next time I'll have to try their sausage roll, Portobello sandwich, and shepherds pie, though they have tough competition with my own versions! Overall Slainté gets my vote for a cozy little place to have some lovely, unpretentious food and soak in a slice of Irish ambiance in Oakland.

Great Irish pub in Jack London. Their food is tasty and hearty, great drink specials, and always a lively crowd. Great spot to link with friends, have a nice meal, or even celebrate St Pattys day. Fun events hosted here in occasion too.

We came in as they opened so we were one of four inside. However the hostess and bartender were super friendly. I have to give shouts out to Joe!!! I enjoy whiskey but they don't have my personal favorites. He made me an old fashion with an Irish Whiskey...Im in love....the downside is will someone back in Ga be able to make me happy when I get back home. 🥺 Value added- Joe LOVES his craft...it was great watching him.make drinks and hearing his answers to our questions.

Had drinks here with two friends Sunday night. Place was very busy. The server who greeted us (guy with a beard) could not have been more brusque and rude in telling us there were no tables indoors. We said we would sit outside— he didn’t seem to care if we stayed or left— and took our order as if it was a terrible imposition.
