I have ordered takeout twice from this diner. Lovely service both times! The guy who usually takes my order is super nice and their cakes are DELICIOUS! They're opened 24/7 and I love that! Especially as a student where I have to stay up pretty late until the early hours of the morning, this place has breakfast throughout the day!
Giant thick pancakes x3 and eggs cooked exactly how you like them. This was our perfect breakfast destination. Super polite and gracious staff who obliged me with a take-away container (it was more than you’d get for $AUD16 anywhere in Sydney). Coffee wasn’t too bad when you ask for Americano either.
Classic NYC Diner near Penn Station! The Tick Tock Diner is a must-experience Manhattan institution! Conveniently located on 8th Avenue, it's an easy walk from Penn Station and the perfect pit stop for travelers or theatergoers. This is where you go for authentic New York diner food. You must try the fluffy pancakes (served all day!) or a giant triple-decker club sandwich. For a hearty dinner, the cheeseburger and fries are top-tier comfort food. Portions are generous and the value is excellent. The staff is genuinely friendly and efficient, and the unique, time-themed decor (look for the clocks and quotes on the wall!) adds a fun, historic flair. A clean, classic, and welcoming spot to grab a great meal 24 hours a day. Highly recommended!
I LOVE this diner! The food is a cut above your average diner. The salmon is out of sight and the steak, believe it or not, is steak-house quality (I believe because they share a kitchen with a downstaris steak house). The atmosphere is very amusing too. The prices are what you'd expect for Manhattan, but no too outrageous. HIGHLY recommended!
The ultimate breakfast destination in NYC. A retro-style diner with tons of tables and booths and it was always busy when we went, but always space for another customer. We came here twice and didn’t have to wait for a table. The servers are polite and friendly enough but they are working at high speed so some may think they are a little brusque. Maybe they are but it’s really not a bad thing. Turnaround is fast. We didn’t have to wait very long at all for food or drink. Just long enough for you to look around at the decoration and other people and soak up the vibe of the place. The food was consistently good and there was plenty of it. Value for money is excellent, making it the best place to go to fuel up ahead of a long day of walking and sightseeing. It was such a good place to get breakfast we came back on the same trip. We will come again on future trips and will recommend to all friends and family who are coming to the city. If you don’t come here, you haven’t properly visited New York. You have been warned. We decided to find this place after watching some very well made NYC YouTube videos by Here.Be.Barr. (Would highly recommend watching for his review of this place but also his many other NYC videos too)
Breakfast was always great here. The service was fine as well. It was convenient for us because we stayed at The New Yorker Hotel which this dinner is next to. There is also a private entrance from our hotel. The bum side is sometimes homeless people come in and try to get food. We went to the restroom and came out to a homeless man asking my daughter if we were finished. I wanted to buy the man a meal but the workers told him to go away. Other than that we enjoyed this diner.
We’ve went to the Tick Tock diner on 2 different days, so we were able to try both breakfast as dinner. The quality of the food is really good and the service was both times perfect. They make time to do a nice little chat and service all your needs. Only con is that they charge an extra amount when you want to pay by card.
We recently visited Tick Tock Diner on 34th Street and had a great experience. We were seated promptly, and the food was served quickly. I ordered the Salmon Benedict, which was excellent, and the hashbrowns were cooked to perfection. The prices were surprisingly affordable, especially considering the prime location, just a block from Madison Square Garden. I would definitely return for another visit.
Safe, clean place to get good food 24\7. I had to fix some code around 2 in the morning, and many of the 24 hour coffee shops in the area don't have seating bc of the homeless, or are just super gross. I was able to work here for a few hours, get some good food. Coffee was the best part - a very dark roast, guessing Italian
Great diner with fast, friendly service. Coffee was quite tasty and served in metal mugs that do a nice job keeping the coffee hot. I always get a standard two-egg breakfast and was not disappointed. I will note that the tables have Heinz ketchup bottles on the table, but it was not Heinz ketchup in the bottles. Having grown up in Pittsburgh and being a ketchup lover, the much browner-colored condiment in the bottles is not Heinz. Ownership should change that.
Great food and great service! I visited with a travel group of 16 people, and the team made everything possible for us — from splitting the bills to putting candles on the pancakes for our two birthday guests. A special thanks to Maria, who took wonderful care of us. Highly recommended 😊
So part of visiting America was to try a diner too. Taking into account diners are somewhere to go to get easy no fuss food that is tasty this place nails it. It isn't cheap but when you take new York prices into account I think it's reasonable enough. Ate here a few times during my visit and found the staff to be polite albeit no nonsense which I enjoyed. Breakfast coffee is never ending if you so wish. The pancakes with bacon and eggs were great. Toilets are available downstairs. The staff do prefer if you tip in cash, with there being a charge if you pay by card which many other places didn't.
Everytime I come here I am so happy and appreciative. The food is amazing. The people are all really really good people. I don't know where they find them but they're so helpful. I love this place and I can't say enough good things. I've been coming here for many years and it's always consistent
Look are you going to get something high quality or cheap here? NO. What you will get is bottomless coffee refills and a place where nobody bothers you or gives you any grief for HOURS while you wait for the first train out of new york. A godsend and a blessing in disguise. What would i be without the tick tock diner
Walked in for a quick bite to eat and warm up inside. Friendly service and enjoyed their French onion soup and a hot cup of coffee. Menu has a great variety and prices reasonable. Interior is pleasant and clean. Thank you, Jake!
mmmmmmmm the food was busssss. we ordered french toast and an omelette, no complaints! 👅 price was relatively reasonable, the seating arrangement is a bit crammed, but it is your typical cozy american diner:) service was pretty quick! there are clean bathrooms downstairs as well. def would recommend if you’re nearby, it’s a short walk from madison square garden/the penn amtrak station (nyp)🔥🔥
I am so happy I stopped here while in Manhattan. Great service, very clean and food was great. I was in for breakfast and everything was delicious.
I was extremely pleased by everything about this diner. We were greeted by friendly staff (at least 6 different employees) and I couldn’t believe how nice they were. The fruit bowl, Oreo pancakes, PASTRAMI BURGER 🤤 and everything on their breakfast menu so far.. are incredible. One thing I need to stress about this place as well, is that the food arrived to our hotel room literally within 10-15 minutes 🤩 oh; and the food was very hot! So many other restaurants deliveries end up being lukewarm 😑 Tip the staff because they don’t get any better than this. I forgot to mention the cheesecake ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
I had an hour to kill before my train to the airport at 5am, and nowhere to go. And you don’t really want to take a casual stroll in this area at that hour. This place was the perfect place to wait. The bagel and coffee were nothing exceptional but pretty good and at a fair price. Great service. Perfect atmosphere. I’m sure I’ll be back here next time I am around the area at some crazy hour
I've been here at least twice, but I honestly don’t remember because it's usually 2am and I'm blasted when I do (lol). This time I got the turkey club, which I really enjoyed. The servers are extremely nice, and the food is great! I love that they're open 24 hours! Would totally recommend this place for a late night meal that really hits the spot!
Classic diner. This place is open 24 hours, every day. Great location, right in the middle of Manhattan, very close to Maddison Square Garden and Penn Station. Food is ok. Nothing fancy, but they do the basics well. Prices are fair. Not the cleanest place, servers are not exactly the friendliest, but somehow this is what you’d expect from this type of diner. It fits very well with the overall atmosphere. I recommend this place and will be back :)
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tick Tock Diner NY, and I must say it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions and reasonable prices. I particularly enjoyed my salmon dish and the heavenly slice of cheesecake that followed. The diner itself boasts a warm and inviting atmosphere, with beautiful interior design that adds to the overall charm. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that my visit was nothing short of perfect. I highly recommend Tick Tock Diner NY to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with top-notch food and service.
If you ever looking for a place to eat near Madison Square Garden. Check out this Diner. Tic Tock Diner! On 34th st and 8th. A very nice place. They serve so much food and the prices are really good. It's a very cute and clean place to eat. The Milk Shake was one of the best milk shakes I've had.
Me and my boyfriend stayed at The New Yorker Hotel and we had dinner here most of nights, we experimented a lot of dishes and sure they are a little bit expensive but the amount of food is really generous too! We experienced different staff almost everyday and they were all friendly
If you want the full diner experience, they've got the full diner experience. Just a pop over from the train hall this place has it all. Expansive menu? check. Pretty good prices? check. Interior decor that is one of kind and probably hand made by a guy's friend's buddy in the mid 90s? Absolutely. To rate this anything less than 5 stars would be sin
So funny story about how I got to this place . We were looking for a place to eat after leaving MSG. My brother found a diner so figured it would please everyone. I originally said sure I never been to TikTok diner so should be fun to see what the vibe is like. Not realizing it was Tick Tock like a clock lol. Needless to say it was still a good place to eat. The place feels a little tight but what should you expect for NYC real estate. The food was good our service was pretty fast. The waiter wasn’t pushy and checking in on us every second but available if we needed anything. It worth a try and wasn’t too busy midday on a Saturday.
They deliver on everything you could expect out of a 24 hour diner. I was able to order breakfast for late dinner and it was hot and tasty. I should call out that my French toast was made exactly how I like it. Perfection. And my shake was delicious. Has a perfect diner atmosphere and hits the spot. No complaints and would go again
Huge space and a LOT of options. My friends and I met up to send off a friend to his study abroad, and so we wanted to give him one last truly American experience before he leaves. The food was scrumptious, and amazingly plated, perfect for pictures! I was so full after. I shared a few dishes with my friends, and it was nice to get a blend of savory and sweet. The pancakes are to die for!! We asked a nearby waiter to help take a group picture, and he was very funny, and jokingly joined us in the picture. Overall, an amazing experience with amazing company.
Tick Tock Diner in the New Yorker hotel has a nice menu with a lot of options. Breaths is the expected American style breakfast with eggs , pork meats, plus starchy items like pancakes and toast. Service prompt and attentive and food freshly made. Worth stopping by if you’re staying at the hotel or in the area.
5/21/25 work lunch. I went for the Fish & Chips - ehhh not the greatest. It was ok, except half of the fries were not completely cooked. The fish was good & hot from the fryer. Kinda small for $22. However, the rice pudding ($10) is a huge portion and very impressive. It's thick and the rice is Al dente. I should have taken a picture before i ate most of it... Sorry, I'll go back and get another one ;) 12/20/22 back for work lunch, had the turkey burger (good) with salad instead of fries. The salad was impressive! Also, chocolate cake and coffee. 3/2022- Been here a few times. Today was a work lunch. I had a Reuben with Disco fries and 7 layer chocolate cake for dessert. The sandwich was good, the cheese on the fries was meh... Not the correct cheese. But still tasted good. Cake and coffee was good. Service was great! So friendly and fast. Thanks!
It was surprisingly GOOD! I ordered the Mediterranean veggie bowl with chicken which was pretty good, it was quite a big portion, very favorable and rich (for a dinner) my friends ordered the salmon fillet and some burgers and they all enjoyed their food. The service was pretty good as well and the place itself is kinda cute.
This is a NYC institution, at least for us. Food. Amazing. Service? You feel like you're in a Seinfeld episode where you're half being ignored, and at times being talked down to. This actually makes it fun. We've been several times over the years. Piece of advice, do NOT reserve a table on Open Table. You will not be able to fight your way through the crowd to be seated. Stand in line, wait your turn, and enjoy the amazing food.
Had a few meals here while in NYC for a conference. Really wholesome food and a relaxed way to start or finish your day. For breakfast I recommend the waffles and the breakfast burrito. For dinner the half & half burger is a winner! Staff are friendly and the coffee is strong. I’ll be back
A very good diner! Our waitress (Dora) was the best and had beautiful nails, too. She has such a great personality and really was a wonderful welcome back to NYC for our first meal of the trip. The food was delicious, service was great, and prices were decent. I'd definitely go back, though I like trying new places, so it may never happen. We talked about going back for dessert, since it looked great, but we didn't get there.
Perfect spot to go get a bite to eat after seeing a late night movie The chicken and waffles was good, but I enjoyed the hot chocolate more which was made with milk The ambience is decent and quiet, but there was a vagrant who entered at one point, and was begging people for money. Thankfully they escorted him out before he could approach the table I was at, but that’s New York City for you.
This restaurant is in an unbeatable location steps away from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden - as well as the rest of what 34th Street has to offer. The food is great. Tables around about a 7 out of 10 on comfort level. Service was good, but I was disappointed when the server actually asked for cash as tip. The only excuse for this would be if management was somehow withholding tips - which I doubt.
Right by Penn station, convenient, touristy, long wait, fast service, noisy, crowded, difficult to find seats, they have some long tables in the center of the restaurant where people get to share tables. Family and large groups friendly. Price is on the cheaper side. Service was very efficient as for taking orders, but afterwards the foods did take awhile to come out. To judge the food by a diner restaurant quality it was pretty good. Definitely recommend this spot if you don’t have anything else pre planned.
Food was good for an early morning. It was also served at a fair price point and at a good quantity. It’s a great option if you are staying at the New Yorker. If you aren’t staying at the New Yorker, you could probably find better breakfast in the area.
I came in for breakfast the other day and the service was great. We were accommodated right after entering. I am giving three stars on food because the avocado in my breakfast burrito was overly sweet from going bad and it ruined the taste of the burrito. I was not able to finish it. The half I was able to eat though was incredibly delicious. Perhaps this was a one-off because my partner enjoyed his omelette. I’d give this place another shot as the service and atmosphere were both great.
Great food and the services of Bozana was amazing. She was great going over the menu and constantly( not overly aggressive at all, just perfect) answering all our questions. Huge menu to go along with high portions. Had the griddle breakfast which was 3 huge pancakes with bacon and eggs. Also tried the buffalo chicken grilled cheese. It was good but had it hard just a little more chicken, it would have been insane! Will come back! Right in the middle of Manhattan.
Update: they just changed the mashed potatoes to having skins in them, not the skin-free type that I like. Original post: I like this place, and come here often. The service is good, and the place is clean, neat, and with simple but cheerful decorations. Most of the food is quite good. The only exception is that the white bread is a little dry (like maybe not kept wrapped).
Tick Tock is my go-to for breakfast in Midtown. The omelettes are huge and perfectly cooked, and the home fries are crispy and seasoned just right. The coffee keeps coming and the service is always efficient. Korra was so sweet and made sure everything was perfect. The vibe is classic diner—nothing fancy, but that's the charm. Highly recommend for a hearty, affordable meal!
Had a lovely meal at the the Tick Tock diner! After finding it on Tik Tok itself. The steak Philly and eggs Benedict were incredible, hats off to the chef! 🧑🍳 Lady that took us to our table (maybe the manager?) was a little stand offish when we arrived, we wanted a window seat as we love to watch the hustle and bustle of NY city - we are tourists! The lady said it’s not clean, but we were happy to wait or even help clean it. She grunted and eventually cleaned it… quite rude with us… passed our menus and left us to it… then talking to other guests which was clearly aimed at us as she kept looking over. A very uncomfortable feeling but Nevermind… Anyway, we didn’t let that ruin our experience, our food server was great and was very bubbly. The diner was clean, spacious and efficiently staffed. Highly recommend the steak Philly … and a window seat!
A true Diner experience at 34th and 8th. Tick Tock is open 24 hours and serves delicious food including breakfast all day. Don't look for a lot of frills, just wholesome delicious food, huge portions and good service. Fries, burgers and sandwiches are all done well. Try the half and half burger or the Juicy Lucy for a special treat. Fast, convenient and delicious. What more can you ask for a classic diner?
Food is fair but is of Good quantity. Service is fast paced which you could not enjoy your meal as they want you to finish your food immediately. Somehow pleasant. Not a child friendly place. No high chair seen and restroom is a level below on a tight stairway, no koalabear seen. See images below.
Been coming here for years, the servers used to be attentive, friendly and kind. The last time I went however was a horrible experience! Our waiter didnt know French toast was made with eggs and couldn't simple replace the French toast with normal toast in my order (as im allergic to eggs), he left mid order and forgot about us, when he came back he still processed the wrong order and another member of staff had to help!
Had breakfast there for 2 weeks straight. I’ve noticed that some of the staff are great while some are rude. One of the most senior waiters were rude at me when I pointed at the menu to say what I wanted. It’s like they don’t like/want foreigners at their place. The lady waitress was great tho. Pancakes are not tasty at all, tasted like flour (maybe it was raw). The bacon had its good days and its bad days.
I had high hopes for a great diner (which seem harder to find in NYC these days). It was decent. Nothing amazing. The decor is super cute and colorful. The menu is varied as a diner should be. Our waiter was a little odd but friendly. I did watch the bartender blow his nose, throw the napkin away and proceed to grab 2 coffee cups and pour coffee into them without even considering washing his hands. The ricotta pancakes were average and the cream on top was good. The waiter forgot my bacon. The disco fries were decent. Good people watching from our table.
Food was mediocre but portions were large. I had the red velvet pancake. It was pretty dry. The cream cheese was pretty good. But the syrup didn't help the dryness. The hash browns were mediocre. We had to add salt and pepper. The eggs and sausage was good. Overall, service was good. Food came out in 10 mins. But the food itself was mediocre. Well priced. We paid less than $50 for the both of us.
Overall it was a pleasant experience at NYC diner. For the city, price was reasonable and perfect for a quick breakfast or brunch. Eggs with hashbrown was ok. Pastrami Ruben was good but had way too much fat on pastrami. Had to flag down the waiter to get coffee refilled. If you stay in the hotel above or just getting off from Penn, it’s a good location to have a quick bite.
I went on a weekday so that may be a factor but the atmosphere felt like a tourist trap that everyone in there knew was a tourist trap but we all just had to play along. Food was mediocre at best but served a purpose. Wouldn't rush to go here again but I don't think there's many diners that will be much better in all honesty
We were visiting New York and decided to eat at Tick Tock Diner. The food was good and the prices were reasonable, so we actually went back again the next day. On our second visit, the staff who seated and served us were very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the experience was let down at the end. Our bill came to $62, we paid $70, and as we were leaving, the woman who collected the bill stopped us to say the tip wasn’t enough. We then gave an extra $5. She wasn’t our server and we barely interacted with her, but her attitude was very rude and uncomfortable. That was the only negative part of the experience, but it was disappointing and left a bad impression. Overall, the food itself was great, which is why I’m still giving 3 stars
Don't expect much. Service was alright. Maybe I should give them a pass since it was a very busy holiday weekend night. Food definately not something to write home about. Very basic. It is what it says it is. Nothing more. Only positive is that it is located across from Penn Station and has a lot of seating. Turkey sandwhich was good though. Tasted fresh and carved. Not deli cold cut. A large serving considering it cost the least compared to the other sandwhiches on the menu. I took half of it home and enjoyed later that night. BLT was also good. Penne ala vodka was unsatisfactory/ needs improvement. But your not supposed to order italian dishes at a diner.
Diner was clean and our servers were attentive. The mac & cheese balls were a cheap knockoff in comparison to The Cheesecake Factory's version. The pastrami burger was okay. Large portion. The bread held together well. Pastrami was sliced thin on the burger but the burger itself was flavorless. The waffle fries were very well seasoned. I did not like their ranch, too much buttermilk.
We had breakfast at the TikTok Diner on Friday morning around 9:00. It was easy to get in, which was a plus, and the place was clean and comfortable. I always appreciate a clean diner with clean menus and tables. That may sound basic, but when you’re traveling, it’s a big deal. Our server was really nice and kept our drinks refilled without us having to ask. I ordered the classic Eggs Benedict. It was good, just not the best I’ve ever had. The English muffin was a little tough to cut with the standard butter knife. I probably could have asked for a steak knife and solved that, but I didn’t. The hashbrowns were the bigger miss for me. They weren’t cooked enough and were more like lightly warmed shredded potatoes than crispy hashbrowns. My husband had the classic two-egg breakfast with toast and pork sausage and said it was pretty good. One small note for anyone visiting: our server mentioned they really appreciate tips in cash, and we were happy to oblige. Overall, it was a solid, convenient breakfast spot. Nothing over the top, but it did the job. Next time we’re in town, we may try somewhere new, but this was an easy and decent way to start the day.
Food was good with huge portions at fair prices. The menu is very extensive, so it took us a little while to decide, but our server seemed impatient even though the diner wasn’t full. When we held on to the specials menu to look over for a possible return visit, he demanded it back quite abruptly, which was disappointing. On the positive side, the person who seated us was fantastic, and the server who brought our food was also excellent.
2⭐️ for food. Serving time is slow even if there are only 4 tables occupied. Place looks clean. Ribs - some parts are tender, but some overcooked Beans - taste something like straight from the canned beans Burger - my friend just had a bite and didn't finish it. the way they cooked the chicken in it isn't good Chicken n Pancake - hit or miss. white meat is so dry; dark meat is good after we placed the order, I saw the server went to the bar area and drink from a small (shot glass?). IDK what that is, but the way he served us, looks like he is too tired. This diner is at the corner of two busy streets, no parking as there were constructions on the road
We were staying at the New Yorker for a night and ate here before a concert. The Chipotle chicken bowl was nice and big but had zero Chipotle flavor. It was like a salad with chicken tossed in mayo. Chipotle has a smoky flavor...... the service was very friendly, though. And the food came out quickly so we could get to the concert on time.So that's a good thing
The food was tasty but that´s it. The whole dissapointment we had from our visit was the staff. The guy asked for 5$ more in tips. I gave him cash with around 12$ in tips but it was apparently not enought. So I gave him this 5$ more. Not gonna make me poor and him rich but makes it so wierd and pathetic in my opinion. The day before we visited other diner where no one complaied about the same tips. We are not comming here again ever.
For New York, prices are reasonable and it’s in a cool diner setting. Food however is very basic, theme park quality mass produced and served on plastic plates, canteen style. Not authentic American diner style, although reasonable in price, very expensive for the quality of food. Would recommend looking elsewhere.
We were staying at the hotel so we ate her once for dinner and once for breakfast. Supper was fine. We ordered only fryer food so that is hard to mess up. Service was good. Breakfast however was a very negative experience. Pancakes had no flavor, hollandaise was lumpy and cold, eggs were overcooked, the hash browns had onions in them which were not listed in the menu. Service was so slow I had to go find a counter to eventually pay my bill. Dirty glass and knife.
I’m torn on this place, so I landed on two stars. The service and atmosphere are fantastic and a lot of fun, but the food just doesn’t measure up. I’d give the food 1 star, the service 4 stars, and the atmosphere 5 stars. I’ve eaten here twice now, and both times the flavor and overall quality of the food were disappointing. The dishes simply don’t taste very good. On this visit we had the avocado toast Benedict and a cheese omelet; previously we tried scrambled eggs and over-easy eggs. There’s an odd, hard-to-place flavor in the food – maybe from the oil on the grill – that really throws things off. The hash browns were flat, bland, and greasy, and the avocado tasted old rather than fresh. If you want to sit in a diner next to the beautiful New Yorker Hotel, this spot definitely delivers on vibe, but I don’t think most people will walk away happy with the food.
Looking for brunch options with few friends and found this cute place. Food was absolutely amazing! Shoutout to the chefs!! The decoration was nice as well! However, the service was subpar. Older gentleman with tattoo on his left wrist that served us was very rude. My group was stared at by the whole staff the entire time we were trying to eat, making all of us very uncomfortable. Anytime we asked for anything, even just ordering or asking for a box, he would give us dirty looks and say nothing in response. We usually tip very well at restaurants, but they received not as much as they could've had if they were just simply nicer. We wanted to come back for dinner simply for the food, but due to the service we received, we will not be returning.
Honestly disappointing. I was recommended this restaurant but when I got here nobody showed us to a table right away. Finally we got sat and the dinner is almost empty at 12pm on a Sunday. Not a good look. The food arrived and it was…there. I got the chorizo Benedict and my wife got an egg white omelet. She kept saying it was like putting something in her mouth but had no flavor. The toast was overdone and the hash-browns slightly burned. Neither of us finished our food. When the check arrived, the waitress said she wanted cash for her “big tip”. She literally said that. It’s my first time in New York City and I don’t think I’ll be back here.
Writing this from inside the place. Very very disappointed. Food is average, bad quality. Everything look like frozen food. Disgusting. The fish and chips is expensive for 3 pieces of frozen fish. The smokes salmon benny was a joke, it’s NOT salmon but TROUT, too much spinach. The poached egg was overcooked and taste like boiled egg. Staff was in such a rush they were almost rude. Wait 20min to be seated. 15 to take our order.
The only thing this place has going for it is it's location. We ordered chicken tenders, a Buffalo chicken sandwich, mozzarella sticks, and 2 shakes. Almost $80. Now, I'd be ok with that if the food was any better than what I'd expect from an old hospital or third rate amusement park. If this was Chuck E Cheeses then I'd say I got what I expected. But this place had a higher bar. The mozz sticks were passable. At least, they were when they arrived as they were still kinda warm? Had to ask 3 times to get my water refilled. Asked for ranch when I ordered the tenders, got nothing. When I asked for ranch again, I got buffalo sauce. The chicken itself was terrible. No flavor, and again, kinda warm? The fries were ok if you like soft, soggy, flavorless fries. Tried some of the buffalo chicken grilled cheese sandwich. Different chicken, oddly, and marginally better. The buffalo sauce could have been straight vinegar for how potent it was. And again, warm. So warm the slice of American cheese that made this a grilled cheese sandwich wasn't even melted. We were seated quickly, but then the staff turned into ghosts. Place wasn't all that busy, either. Not sure how this place gets high marks in anyone's book. Avoid. Taco Bell Cantina or White Castle are right up the road.
Went in at 1:55. Was seated right away. Only 4 tables with customers. All I could hear was the waiters complaining about slow day yesterday while myself and 2 other tables waited for over 13 minutes until I turned around and gave them a look and THEN they decided to take my order. Ordered Crab Cakes Benedict. Crab cakes=frozen. Fries=frozen, English muffin=burnt and rubbery (no clue how they achieved that). Hollandaise sauce=canned. Only the eggs were done fresh and nice. Other than that, NEVER AGAIN!!!! Place was quiet except for waiters complaining!!!
If I could leave zero stars I would. IM TYPING THIS SITTING WAITING ON CHECKThe service was absolutely awful walked in and they told us to just walk to the back. Then proceed to let us sit for 30 minutes literally. Started a timer after 5 minutes. Anyways. Order our milkshakes. Because let’s still have a good time. And he makes us order food too. So rushed and there was maybe 5 other tables in the whole place with plenty of workers. Got our food quick after but no milkshakes had to ask for them and they ran off and did them. Anyways had to walk to the front to get our check and never got my to go box. Was the first time to never leave a tip.
Been to tik tok diner handful of times. I’ve always enjoyed it but won’t be going there anymore. Took a bit to get menus and order. Once we did order it was quick but then while we were eating there was a damn roach on table and the booth. We lost our appetite. I did tell waiter he discounted like $5. We paid and left. Last time going there.
Terrible experience. The food was awful — my poached eggs were burnt on the bottom, and the hash browns were the worst I’ve ever had. The steak, which was ordered medium-rare, came well-done. There was no soap in the women’s restroom, it smelled bad, and the floor was sticky. The service was just as uncomfortable — the waiters hovered over us, clearly watching how much tip we were leaving, and tried to grab the signed check even before we had a chance to stand up. The only redeeming thing about this place was the waiter’s sense of humor. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
If I could give this place a zero star, I would. The food wasn’t too bad but the customer service was awful. At first the lady sat us and gave us water (fine service). Afterwards it went downhill. Young kid name Johnny who served us had terrible customer service! He came to take our orders without a greeting nor did he ask us if we wanted any drinks. We had to ask. In the middle of us eating, he asks us if we’re good and drops off the check, telling us that he will be closing our register. We assumed that he was either going on break or leaving for the day but neither one was the case. An hour has not pass since we’ve been sitting there. Johnny didn’t even offer us a to go plate. Again we had to ask. It was the three of us. One of my friends asked for to go box and my other friend asked also. Johnny brings three containers, two lids and no plastic bags. One of my friends asks him if he’s expects her to carry the to go plate like this and he says well you have a lid and whispers to himself, “I guess I’ll get you guys some bags”. He brings the bags then disappears. While one of my friends were in the bathroom, He comes back and say “will that be cash or card?” It was less than 6 minutes. I have to tell him to give us a minute. He proceeds to ask if its Apple Pay. Again I told him that he has to give us a minute. So he says “if it’s Apple Pay, then you have to come to the back.” then he leaves. Due to his behavior and the treatment that we we’ve received, we later found out that he was a family to the owner as to why his behavior was unacceptable. This was our first and last time. What a bad experience. We left chump change for his chump service.
maybe we went on a bad day, but my bf and i had subpar experience. i ordered "the chicken & the egg," which wasn't bad, but not good. it was dry and the chicken was just ok. i didn't even finish it as you can see by the last photo. i also ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese. it was burnt. the picture doesn't show it that well, but it was definitely burnt. my bf had a worser experience compared to me. he ordered a $18.50 "griddle deluxe" which wasn't essentially french toast with 2 eggs and bacon. that's it. for almost $20. and it wasn't even good. i tried the french toast which was fine, but the quality doesn't match the price. waffle house is better than this. maybe we'll try this place again in the future and give a follow up then.
