Didn't know what to expect but I knew the moment we walked in, we hit the jackpot, Cajun spices wafted trough the air. The service was a bit slow at first, I think the waitress was double / triple seated but we didn't wait too long. we got the garlic and cajun steam pots, they were delicious, one of the most satisfying meals I've ever had. Our server was friendly, chatty and efficient. Definitely go back.

Lilian was amazing! She was super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed the entire time. She checked on us often without being overbearing, and her friendly attitude made the experience even better. The food was great, but her service really stood out.

The drinks are top tier. Madison is very attentive to the customers and made a great Passion fruit mojito. The seafood is great especially the lobster bisque and the broil bags are 👌🏻 If you’re also looking for sports on the big screen, this is your place!

The food and overall dining experience here is one of the best I’ve ever had, especially in New York. But what made it an exceptional experience was my waiter, Amir. He delivered the best service to us and he spoke Spanish, which was helpful since my mom barely speaks English. He made sure our table was consistently taken care of and he has one of the best personalities of anyone I’ve ever known ❤️ I love this restaurant and I loved our waiter even more. I will be back again when I come back to New York! Thank you so much!!

I love this place so much! The seafood boils within Manhattan simply cannot compare in terms of BOTH quality and price - which is insane! I came in for lunch on Tuesday and got shrimp head-on, black mussels and crawfish. Every single thing was delicious and the sauce was just so savory and flavorful (I got the house special, fire spice sauce). The server was also wonderful and helpful - he helped me pick the right order and was really attentive. I will definitely be back again!

Amazing drinks, great food, quick service. Ordering on uber eats is fast and in person; service is fast and efficient. Sometimes it can get a bit loud but other than that the food is great.

My friends wanted a new fix for the weekend, so I explored 161st Street during the day. I happened to notice a Cajun restaurant located near the shopping center. This was no ordinary restaurant. I went in and was greeted by the hostess, who showed me options to dine for the day. I ordered a delicious 1/2 pound of Lemon Pepper Shrimp, loaded with Potatoes and Corn. It was savory to my palette. And the restaurant itself was decorated with wall designs with a chill oak wood interior. The waiters had asked how I was doing while I enjoyed my time. The food is on point, the seafood boil, catfish n chips, and even the shrimp n chips. The bartender Nikki is making the 🍸 with liquor and love. My daughter and I have a great time when we go. Our days is Mondays 3-6.

Food was amazing! Came here before yankee game. Saw it and wanted to try it. Buried in a strip mall. Service was quick. The building was old and dated but clean. A little more lighting would be nice too. Overall it was great and will be back

It was my first time here. Menu options are kind of limited but fine for quick gatherings and casual eats. Drinks were strong! DJ played straight bops from the 90’s to now, wasn’t overly loud to prevent conversions like some places.

Large space and helpful waitresses. The food was good but the drinks are better. The steamed food came in a large bag full of hot goodness. I didn’t know how to open it. But I didn’t let my ignorance stop me from eating my steamed shrimp with broccoli and noodles drowned in garlic butter. And when I say drowned, I mean drowned. Not bad overall. Happy hour must be good if all the drinks are as good as the blue margarita.

Food at Hook & Reel is fresh and tasty. I thoroughly enjoyed the hush puppies, crab bites and calamari. Frozen mango margarita and rum punch was very good. Had the catfish basket for an entree. It was fine. However, I think I would prefer the fried shrimp basket. The restaurant decor is modern.

Food was good , sadly I found out that waitress split gratuities among each other Evelyn was ultimately so nice so I tipped her in the side extra for discretion The other staff that was there during the visit display a bullying attitude towards her after we paid . Will not be back because I know her last day is this Thursday

I want here for my birthday a couple months Ago and was exited to try king crab for the first time. The first time it came out it wasn't even edible. The shell was so hard to open and the meat wasn't edible I couldn't even chew it. I asked for it to be remade and the second time was the same thing. My step father tried to show the owner how na crab is supposed to look and taste but the own still made us pay $40 even though I didn't get to eat any of the crab. The waitress was amazing and tried her best to handled the situation so kudos to her. I always come back for the food tho just never get the king crab from here

I ordered late tonight through uber eats. And to my surprise after eating 2 pieces of chicken from a 6 piece fried wings basket. It’s was still piping hot, and very very undercooked, pure pink in the middle… I then immediately contacted uber support, to report the food safety issue. I take Immuno suppressant because of a health condition and cannot eat anything raw. My stomach felt queasy and then I begin to vomit. Next, I decided to call the restaurant. The manager thought I wanted to place an order, so before asking me, She passed the phone. This staff member She did look up my order and tells me that I have to call Uber. They’ll give me the money back. It’s not about money. I could’ve been hospitalized for weeks or worst. I just wanted reassurance that the cook would know about his mistake and either get extra training or get help during crowded time. So he can check and double check to make sure all the food is probably prepared before sending her off to your customers, She did apologize several times and said that it will be handled. I’m going to post this here and on every social media outlet that I have and I will be sending it to my entire family that’s been living in this area for over 50 years. Unfortunately, hooking reel has lost a customer

I ordered delivery from this location and the potatoes were rotten. My man bit into his potato and it was black. I called the store to inform them that the food was not edible. The man on the phone who claimed to be the manager was like “he doesn’t see my order” he was very rude and inconsiderate. He basically was like oh well contact support on the website and there isn’t even a support number online. I asked if there was a way to accommodate me and he hung up on me. I attached pictures and a video. I wasn’t mad until the manager was so rude and insensitive to serving my family rotten food. A waste of money! I’ll stay away from this location.

I opened one of the Crawfish, and the taste was off. After checking the rest, I found that many of them had eggs and a lot of the crawfish were a brownish color instead of the expected red. I will absolutely never order from them again!

This place is an absolute no go for me. Tried it out this week’s because I was curious. We know what they say about that cat. Needless to say the service was horrible, the food needed more time in the microwave. The drinks were terrible. As for the place itself, the tables were sticky and the floors were filthy.
