Great Mexican spot. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Personally love their tostadas and Huaraches.

My favorite Mexican restaurant have been going there since 2004, nothing changed including staff. Great place for breakfast, as well, portions very generous.

Was able to come in and get food to go on a late night. Huge portions for the price, and a good variety of Mexican drinks in the fridge. It's a pretty basic interior with a TV so it's a good atmosphere for casual lunch and dinner.

Acapulco is hidden masterpiece. It's nestled in the quiet streets of Greenpoint, and the food transports you to another land. The steak taco, vegetable fajita, and nachos, specifically, are like eating a baby angel - perfection! I cannot recommend this eatery enough!

This was my go-to spot when I lived in Brooklyn. It's so far off the beaten path at the end of Manhattan Ave., but a gem. The prices are great, the portions large, and I've never left feeling unsatisfied. It's a smaller place, but the staff has remained the same since I started going there, about 8 years ago. The one meal that I always get is the steak burrito which is massive and delicious, and the chips and guac are pretty good too.

Does not get any better than this. Authentic Mexican food. Owned and run by a family, it's one of the original "mom and pop" places in the area. The fajita plate is my favorite! Their guac is amazing too! (served with most plates).

WOW! This hole-in-the-wall packs an authentic punch of flavors at a great price. My first visit I had the chorizo tacos and my wife had the carnitas tacos. Both were amazing but the chorizo were by far the best. We also got a side of guacamole which was fresh with just a little kick. Next time I got the Carne Enchilada.... my mouth is still watering from how good it was. Headed back again tonight for more!

I’ve had here one of the best beef/steak nachos in New York City. For the price to portion ratio it can’t be beat. I’m excited to go back and try other items on the menu. This is a hidden gem tucked on the dormant side of manhattan ave close to pulaski bridge.

I can’t believe I’ve lived in Greenpoint for 3 years and just tried this place. I’ve been missing out! This place is infinitely better than the other Mexican hyper-Americanized spots in the area. No frills, just authentic Mexican dishes like my grandma’s back home in Chicago. I got the Milanesa de pollo which you never even *see* on menus in New York. It was so good I felt like I was visiting family in MX. Delightfully surprised and can’t wait to return - it’s going to have to be often. 🤤

My second favorite mexican joint in the whole world and I mean that in the best way possible. Have gone through the whole menu and every item is excellent. Perfect diner setting and wonderful staff I love it/them so much.

Ten years ago, I was introduced to Acapulco by a friend who knew I was born in Mexico. Gracias a dios, Acapulco didn't disappoint. I have returned routinely for their breakfast! My go-to are their Hueveos Rancheros with a side of avocado and bacon.The Tostadas are perfect for lunch and for dinner I suggest their Milanesa Torta. I'm both, glad and surprised that Acapulco rarely has a long wait. Hopefully @greenpointers won't read this and spoil the experience.

My favourite place in the neighborhood. Seems all so homemade, including the delicious food, lovely staff and relaxed atmosphere. I highly recommend the tostadas, but the enchilada al mole poblano and the milanesa de pollo are also great values for a meal. The mexican beer served in a cold glass mug is a must in a warm day! Taking it home/delivery is sometimes messy, prefer to have the food there.

Incredible, fast Mexican food. The service is also top notch. I come in for the burritos. Only complaint is they pack too much rice in there but that's to be expected at the cost.

What have I been doing all these years in Greenpoint by not going?!?! All those wasted opportunities! I discovered Acapulco late in my years in Greenpoint and the regret is real. This place is just awesome! Affordable borderline cheap, delicious, and the staff is so sweet. Real Mexican meets some American dishes that sneak on the menu. They will alter things and spicy level just right. We ordered some beers and were so wonderfully surprised to see them arrive in frosted large mugs. Just beautiful.

Truly unique and one of kind flavors. Best nachos I’ve ever had in my life. Steak fajitas off the chain as well. Chicken got that addictive seasoning. A real hidden gem, no flash, all substance, all personality, all original.

Excellent local Mexican breakfast spot. I got the Huevos Rancheros which comes with 2 eggs, beans, potato/cauliflower and salsa. The beans were super smooth and seasoned perfectly. The tortillas were fresh and served as great DIY tacos containers (idk if this is how you’re supposed to eat it 😄. Highly recommended.

Laid back lunch counter vibe. Great place for people watching. You get the feeling this is a true meeting point for people of all kinds of backgrounds. Portions were embarassingly generous. I had the soup and the steak burrito and the quality was excellent. Refreshingly honest service (no fake smiles here, but everything comes promptly).

Ordered a pernil tortas and a dos equis. The portions were enormous and the pork on the sandwich was nice and crispy. The beer was served with a frosty mug and a bowl of limes too. A++ definitely will go back when in town again.

First off the cost of dining here is not for the faint of heart. In fact if you forgo a meal here you may actually be able to afford to pay for heart surgery out of pocket. We had lunch here on a weekend after a crazy night in Manhattan clubs the night before. There was copious amounts of alcohol, strange sex, and even being set n fire.. But I digress all THAT happened the night before. Upon waking I text my buddies, and they tell me to meet them at The Russian Tea Room. I'd never heard of it, but google maps to the recue and shortly I arrived to find them at a table by the window. We ate caviar, and some more caviar, maybe some tea, and maybe some vodka.. It was all a bit hazy. I enjoyed some conversation with the couple at the table next to us, and the caviar was AMAZING! Honestly, I didn't I even know that I liked caviar. Maybe it was just because it was good, or maybe because good vibes from the crazy night before we're still percolating in my mind. Either way.. I think we easily broke $1000 dollars on a 'lite' lunch.. No joke! Definitely an experience! I recommend going when it's more busy so that you can enjoy more of the atmosphere, which was rather lacking while we were there.

This place a has the charm of a laid back diner, and delicious food to match. The chips, salsa and guacamole are all fantastic. I’ve only had the huaraches, tostados, and tacos - and they were all delicious. The Central American/Mexican beer selection is impressive.

Pretty good food. Don’t get the burrito if you’re trying to take out. It’s not rolled up and it’s all covered in sour cream so you really need a plate and it’s a giant mess. I could have just gotten a burrito at Taco Bell and rubbed the insides all over my face and clothes to save a few bucks. Tasty tho.

The food here is ALWAYS THE SAME...good. Not great, not fancy, not innovative not trendy, but good. Cheap and big portions. Dont come here to get waited on hand and foot tho...their specialty is Mexican food not customer service....and if you want, do what I do! Go to the fridge and get your own drink! The place is like 50 feet by 20 feet!

Cheap, greasy, and delicious. The service is thoroughly indifferent, but the tacos make up for any other shortcomings at Acapulco. I cannot vouch for anything else on the menu, but all the tacos are great. Also, frosty mugs!

My daughter had a steak burrito fully loaded and my son had a bacon cheeseburger with french fries and I had a cheeseburger deluxe. They should add a little bit more french fries to the plates and I did not like the coleslaw at all. They charge for everything even for a little bit of barbecue sauce which my son did not like because it was very spicy. I would not recommend it for anyone that doesn't like spices or can't have anything spicy.

I got charged 8 dollars for a beer here, I went because the reviews said they have affordable good food, 30 dollars for a plate of food and one beer is not affordable. Portion was big, but the quality of the food was normal. For the price you can eat a plate of food wherever else in Greenpoint

The food at this restaurant is good. Large portions. Good service but my one complaint is the inconsistencies regarding opening time. Google map indicates that they open at 7:00 AM but that is often not so. It is not unusual come to the door long after it is indicated to be open and find the gate pulled down and closed or half way up while the cleaning guy gets the space ready. It's unfortunate for the customer and the proprietor too since I my case, I simply drive to the next diner.

I have been patronizing this location since its inception. The food and service has been relatively decent. Last night was an exception. The cashier claimed I had only given her a single $20, when in fact I had given her $4o. I needed change to tip the waitress. How do I handle this matter? Do I lose my temper and risk a long protracted confrontation with the owner or law enforcement? Or do I just take the loss and not return. I took the latter. I have the best occupation in NY as a NY Firefighter. I will not risk the job over $20. I will take the loss and rely on Karma. If your going to patronize this location—just be careful you not swindled.

Ordered two carnitas tacos and it was hand down some of the worst tacos I've ever had. Overcooked and no flavor. Even the tortillas tasted bad.

Five people were working a slow shift, and not one of them showed an ounce of hospitality. I somehow ended up with the worst of the bunch—a very rude waitress—and the food was painfully mediocre. Honestly, I bet even a sandwich made with processed meat from the deli around the corner would’ve tasted better. Hurts my soul, too, because they’re paisans. 💔
