My family has been coming to Manettas for many years and they were the obvious choice to host a wedding luncheon for about 50 guests. We couldn’t be more thankful to Lisa, Roseann, Nelly and the whole staff for making sure everything went perfectly. They were so gracious and accommodating with helping us to plan. The food and service was excellent as always and very reasonably priced.
If I could give it 10 stars, I would. The owners pay particular attention to detail. The waitstaff was attentive and food out of this world. Even although we typically stay in Manhattan, it’s worth the trip across the bridge to eat here.
As always, Manetta's Ristorante in LIC, NY is excellent. We've been going to this restaurant since the 1990's and the food is always great and reasonably priced. We recently dined at Manetta's and were so pleased with the service we received especially during a very busy weekend evening. The restaurant was packed. Rosanna, one of the maître d's went above and beyond to make special accommodation. On a very busy evening, she made sure the table she assigned for us was comfortable. We were so pleased with our server, Jose. He was very pleasant, attentive and responsive. He ensured that our meal was a memorable one, ensuring our satisfaction. As always, our overall dining experience was excellent. I highly recommend Manetta's Ristorante.
We have been going to Manetta's for over 15 years. The food is always fresh and delicious. The homemade pasta is second to none. And we love staff, service and atmosphere as well.
Delish and friendly. Super service and good prices.
Very good food and especially service. Thank you
Expansive menu with options for everyone. Delicious food. Friendly and helpful staff. Family vibe. The table next to us said they have been dining at Manetta's once a week for 22 years. We will be returning next week as well.
Welcome dinner for wedding party. Wonderful food, staff, and venue. Staff pleasant and accommodating. Food excellent! Good portions and well prepared. All of our guests, 30+, were impressed and enjoyed their meals. Had set up in-house catering and they were very good to work with. Highly recommend!!!!
We had after-work gathering at this restaurant. Everything was awesome. Friendly waiters and good quality food. Loved their homemade pasta and pizza.
Nice little italian spot is the way to categorize this place. Great food, nice wine list.
I come here several times a year. Food is very good, reasonably priced - feels like a warm hug and a home cooked dinner. Awesome change of pace from the new, sleek stuff we see all over the city (and especially LIC). Service is exceptional too. Totally recommend to anyone who likes Italian!
Really solid neighborhood Italian restaurant! The portions are quite large but I guess that's typical of small neighbor Italian restaurants. The service is quite attentive and pleasant. The interior is pretty standard and unimposing. I highly recommend the seafood pasta and gnocchi. Overall, a great choice for a casual dinner.
Their pasta dishes and calamari are some of the best around.. I never forget to order the tiramisu.. Highly recommended
Great place .. celebrated my dad's bday and it was very pleasant and relaxing ... my father was very HAPPY .. definitely coming back 😊
Last week I had my daughter's second birthday at manettas and I can't say enough good things. 95% of the time my daughter is very well behaved and the other 5% she's rambunctious but still friendly. The staff easiest worked our table of 18 adults and 4 children ages 2 - 5. We did a price fix menu and they easily let us make some changes before hand and although the kids all also had a price fix, the staff went aka cart as it ended up being less expensive. When my 2 year old needed some room to stretch her legs, she accidentally ran into a waiter serving and he started playing with her. When she got a tattoo on her hand she excitedly ran into the servers area before I could catch her and they all knelt down and admired her tattoo and talked with her. I can't say enough about how friendly and kind the staff was to children even when the kids were technically getting in the way of them doing their jobs. The food was also top notch! Ten stars
Pickup/ delivery timing can be a little spotty for those in rush but otherwise a great spot. The chicken Francese is the standout as I cut it with a fork, the flavor was terrific and the egg batter wasn’t too soft. Veal Marsala also had lots of flavor and good quality thinly pounded veal. Gnocchi was basic but in an inviting way so as to not jeopardize the 5 star rating.
Quality food and service. Fireplace during the holidays was an amazing extra touch.
Came here with my Mom, without a reservation on a Friday (I know, our fault), but got seated within 30 minutes and had an incredible meal! Will definitely be coming back here again to try out more things from the menu.
Yesterday evening we held our son’s rehearsal dinner at Manetta’s. I cannot say enough about how Lisa and her staff took great care of us. We opted for the family style dining and were not disappointed. The food was delicious and plentiful and the service friendly and professional. Thank you once again for a wonderful evening!
Always consistently delicious Italian food from Manetta's! Great for group meals as well. We appreciate their daily specials which always has great seasonal options to choose from. Surprisingly their rice pudding dessert is an underrated yummy option.
The best place to eat. I absolutely love this place. The fried calamari was great. The gnocchi it's always a hit. Dessert was fantastic as well. The vanilla bean cheesecake was amazing as was the lava cake. Thank you for the great food once again!
Food was delicious. Moderately priced which was good and the portions were a nice size. The eggplant rollatini and salmone were delicious. Our waitress was so nice and very friendly. Cozy atmosphere. I would definitely go back to Manettas.
Just had the Quattro Formaggi and it was mind blowing. Loved the flavor of the cheeses, the cream, and the perfectly chewy noodles. Some of the best flavors outside of Italy I’ve had in a while. Also had the house cab and it was tasty. The cab was a somewhat light for my taste, but good flavor overall. And.... snuck in the flourless chocolate cake for dessert and i think I’m about to explode. Wish I could eat more though, sadly, will have to come back another time to sample the other wonderful dishes.
I love this restaurant. One of the best in LIC. The food and service is always spot on. I have never been let down once! Try the mushroom pasta!
This place is AMAZING! Extensive menu for pasta, pizza and entrees. The pasta I ordered is flavory, unique and delicious. The mussels appetizer is also really good, with just the right amount of seasoning. An awesome restaurant and not expensive food. I will come back for its other dishes and try them out.
Such a delightful Friday dinner at Manetta’s! We walked in without a reservation and they kindly accommodated us. We started with a bottle of Chianti and the burrata special. Then we split the gluten free carbonara and gluten free Bianca pizza. Both the gluten free pasta and pizza were incredible. Our friend enjoyed a glutenful salmon pasta. Friendly staff and warm atmosphere - they even had a gorgeous fire going on this cold winter night.
Absolutely love this Italian restaurant! Been here over 15 times and it never disappoints. Manetta’s continues to maintain its quality of food and service. From their mouthwatering garlic herb focaccia and their scrumptious salads that look and taste like a work of art to their home-made, delicious pastas and brick oven baked pizzas, I have tried it all. Has to be one of my favorite Italian restaurants of all time in Long Island City as well as NY as a whole. My top favorites for vegetarians like myself: - Della Casa Salad - Garlic Herbed Focaccia - Rose Fettuccine (unique and absolutely delicious) - Penne a la Vodka - Roasted Garlic Margarita Pizza
Manhattan who? Take the 7 train one stop out of comfort zone and experience Manettas. Hands down one of the best Italian restaurants the boroughs have to offer. Their knowledgeable wait staff are able to help you pair your dishes, drinks, desserts and probably even your outfit for the next day. You cannot go wrong with any of the tried and true pasta dishes, mainly the Fettuccine Rosse or the Pappardelle Della Nonna. The homemade desserts will leave you scraping the crumbs off your plate. Great for anything from casual dinners to date night - Manettas does not disappoint.
Absolutely perfect in every way. The food, the ambience, the service...the authentic Italian gem of LIC. So glad I discovered this restaurant. The staff are so kind and treat you with great attention and care. Each dish is impeccable. The vegan ravioli is a knockout! My boyfriend loved the lasagna. It's our new favorite spot in the neighborhood.
Manetta's is incredible - I recently came to visit for the first time with my family and it was a great experience! Their staff are so kind + accommodating and the atmosphere is really lovely. The food is absolutely amazing - the Fettuccine Rosse was my favorite dish. I don't come to Long Island City often, but I definitely plan to return here when I'm back in the area!!
This place was great!! First of all, it was so cold out tonight, entering the restaurant was immediately warm and cozy. Nice ambiance -kind of old school, classic Italian ny vibes. I got the pesto which was amazing. I ate every last bite, and I already wish I could eat it again. The fontina on top completed it 🤤🤤🤤. I also got the cocktail on special: pumpkin apple cider martini. Delicious!
When our company was in LIC we used frequent. We just had a get together and the food and service was even better than I remember. Glad one of the original restaurants is still in LIC.
I came here with a friend on a Monday, late afternoon. Our server Jose was exceptional from when we entered to the moment we left. Attentive, kind and great sense of humor. Next, the food was delicious! We had the eggplant rotini(?) - fresh and tasty. House salad with the vinaigrette, hazelnut and apple gave such a fall vibe. Delicious as well. The Mona Lisa pizza was also fresh and truffle oil was faint, not over powering. Chefs kiss! Also, lasagna on point too. Overall, lovely meal and day. Will be returning next week 😌
They don't serve Cacio e Pepe , still this restaurant rocks! I mean it , this is the best Italian food in LIC and for your Cacio e Pepe , you might want to go somewhere else , like ... Go to Testaccio , Rome . Having lunch here is a precious experience ,and you can try the daily soup , the sandwiches , the eggplant parmigianс , or the pizza . Have a pie of Mona Lisa , you will love it ! As a resident of LIC for a few years now, I am regretful I have not found it earlier .
My favorite place to eat when I visit New York. So many great dishes! Try the amazing pizza with prosciutto and figs.....incredible.
My friends and I went tonight for a farewell dinner for one of friends moving away. The staff, food, service, atmosphere, and absolutely everything was so amazing. It’s unreal how great of a time we had! Habib was the most amazing help in suggesting what dishes we should have even down to the wines and cocktails, which were equally amazing(Thank You Jose!!!)! The calamari, baked clams, antipasto, lamb chops, ribeye, bolognese…..I can’t even begin to describe it all…..15/10 experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! Again thank you so much to Habib, Jose, and the entire staff that made this an incredible experience! Truly made our last dinner together an unforgettable experience and we cannot thank you enough!
Second year in the neighborhood and I was wondering why didn’t I come here earlier? Definitely outstanding pizza and homemade pasta. Dessert was not that impressive compared to main dishes but didnt go wrong. I’ll say not everything perfect but some good points to visit. Staff were friendly, professional, providing nice services. ✨🍕Highly recommend the pizza, the dough was so chewy but crispy at the edge. Mona Lisa looked boring but trust me, it’s an impressive flavor, especially the mushrooms on the top. 🍝Gnocchi we had was absolutely good. It was soft and chewy with elegant flavor. But the sauce was a little bit dull which was the part can be improved to build up layers of taste. Although we didn’t get the original tiramisu, I guessed it would be better than the amaretto one. I felt the taste was also dull and lack of depth. And because.. I’m a cream lover so for me the mascarpone cheese layer can be thicker.
Live near by, one of my favorite spots. Food is good and consistent. Love the vast specials and staff is friendly.
1st time but will definitely be back.. Thank you so much for such a wonderful dinner.. Wonderful staff.. Thank you Veleria and Roseann for making us feel @ home.
My husband and I go here quite often. Our fondest memories are at this restaurant. The food, staff, ambience are all wonderful. We absolutely love this place!
I went in on 2-11-2026 to pick up my take out order they had Great service when I got there making sure I had all my condiments to my order also the fettuccine is to die for tasted so fresh and it was definitely gulten free my stomach didn’t feel bloated and heavy after I was licking the plate after I was done I will be back for sure if you want authentic Italian food and a great atmosphere when you walk in look no further this restaurant will definitely bring you back to Italy ( yum ,yum ,yum )
On a cold winter night in 2021, I visited this cozy restaurant and enjoyed the vodka penne. I returned today and the vodka penne is as good as I remember it. The salad is fresh and delicious, and the panna cotta paired with fruit compote is a nice ending to the meal. They also serve bread and brought some house-made cookies at the end of the meal. They also have outdoor seating for the summer. The service is very good. And it’s a lovely restaurant.
Their tripe is the best I’ve ever had! The owner is so friendly and accommodating. I always get a tray of pasta for my holiday parties. Very authentic Italian food with large portions!
I love Manettas! Always delicious. Met one of the owners and learned about how her family built this amazing place from the ground up. If you’re looking for a great Italian dinner with a welcoming atmosphere in LIC, look no further!
The food here is always excellent and the atmosphere is beyond homey & comforting. We loved the amaretto tiramisu for dessert! This is our favorite local restaurant in LIC for delicious italian dinner in a warm and welcoming environment. 🍝
The food was delicious and the staff were efficient and friendly. The atmosphere was nice overall. I got the veal with eggplant and the dish had great flavors and texture. The calamari is also crispy and well cooked served with some hearty marinara. My one feedback is regarding the parsley on the side of the plates. I thought this made the presentation look messy. But overall an excellent restaurant for Italian food.
Had a great last-minute New Year's Eve dinner at this gem of a restaurant! The staff went above and beyond by allowing me to customise my dish, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable, offering great value for such a fantastic experience. One of the highlights is their in-house pasta, adding an extra layer of authenticity to the Italian cuisine. The salmon penne was an absolute dream - the perfect blend of flavours and textures. The warm and welcoming atmosphere, as well as the great service from the staff, created a memorable dining experience. The manager/owner personally came to check on the customers, which was a nice touch and gave the place a family feel. I'm looking forward to my next visit to New York, and this restaurant will be on my list. Highly recommend for those seeking both a taste of authentic Italian cuisine and a genuinely enjoyable evening.
This restaurant is the perfect balance between upscale and comfortable. It feels fancy without being intimidating—there’s no dress code, so you can enjoy a nice night out without feeling overdressed or underdressed. We had a reservation for 8:30 PM for a party of eight, and even though the restaurant was pretty busy, everything ran smoothly. Appetizers and drinks came out in a timely manner, and what really stood out was the service—each time we finished an appetizer, our table was completely cleared and fresh plates were brought out before the next one arrived. When we ordered our entrées, they didn’t take long at all, and every dish was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Our waitress was incredibly friendly, patient, and attentive, which made the experience even better. If you’re planning a birthday celebration, just note there is a $10 cake-holding fee. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant for a great Italian meal and excellent service. Just keep in mind that the menu isn’t very large, so it may not be the best choice for extremely picky eaters
The pictures I’ve posted are across two different visits to this restaurant. Both times I’ve been here the experience is extraordinary. The flavors of each dish were incredible, the ingredients they use are quality, they use a brick oven for their pizzas, and the prices are very reasonable. Every pasta I’ve had was cooked perfectly with the right balance of flavors, and every pizza I’ve had was wonderfully crispy with a slight taste of wood in the charred bits. If you’re ever in Long Island City, this place is a must if you love Italian food.
Manetta is a delight! Neighborhood spot of 30 years and feels so homey. Outstanding service…Habib gave great recommendations! The house salad is something special. I can’t wait to have it again. And also the Mona Lisa pizza is out of this world. Arugula, mushrooms, truffle, parm…sooooo good! Ideal combo. Also loved the vodka pasta. We will definitely be back!! Such a gem of a spot!
Manetta’s Ristorante is one of those places that immediately feels comforting from the moment you walk in. The cozy atmosphere, warm lighting and classic decor give it a timeless charm that makes you want to take your time and settle in. It really does feel like a neighborhood favorite in every sense, and it is easy to understand why people keep coming back. The pasta here is genuinely delicious. Every plate I have tried has been cooked perfectly, with that ideal balance of texture and flavor that makes Italian food so satisfying. The sauces taste rich and thoughtful without feeling heavy, and each dish feels like it was made with care. I had one of the penne dishes on my most recent visit and it was so flavorful and comforting that I found myself slowing down just to appreciate it more. It is the kind of pasta that makes you smile as soon as you take the first bite. It is simply yummy and really well done. The staff also deserves a lot of appreciation. Everyone I interacted with was warm, patient and attentive. You can tell they care about creating a pleasant dining experience. They check in without hovering and they move with an easy confidence that comes from knowing the restaurant well. It adds to the relaxed feeling of the entire place. Even small gestures, like offering suggestions or making sure water glasses are filled, stand out because they are done with genuine kindness. Manetta’s is exactly the kind of Italian restaurant you want in your area. Cozy environment, consistently great pasta and a staff that treats you well from the moment you walk in. If you are in Long Island City and want a comforting, well made meal, this spot will make you very happy.
We came without a reservation, but we were seated right away. The inside is charming. The only issue was the noise. The acoustics are bad, as it was hard to talk with one another. The service was excellent. They were very friendly and attentive. The food was also excellent. I had a steak and a seafood appetizer. I didn't think the prices were too high for the product. We will likely return, although maybe for a lunch. They have a wood fired brick pizza oven that smelled delicious.
I had the Fettuccine Rosse and it was delicious - reminded me of the pastas I had in Italy. The ambiance was old school Italian but soothing. The service was quick and friendly.
Camari tasted funky/gamey/off. Our waiter never checked on us once during our meal. The homemade pastas were very tasty! I liked the vodka sauce and my husband enjoyed the paccheri special.
Food: 5.5/10 I ordered the clam linguine and it was more al dente so could be a preference thing. The clams were small, not very flavorful so could use more salt but the saving grace was the tiramisu! That was fantastic and it’s a good slice, enough to share between two. Service: 7.5/10 they always refilled our waters and the food came out pretty quickly! Only downside was that it felt like it took forever to get our bill at the very end but they were also busy so that could have impacted it. Server was very nice and answered our questions and had suggestions!
Overall well cooked food . Grilled octopus was excellent as was the rabbit shank on a bed of polenta. Rabbit was not dry at all. Very nice wine list. Ambiance enhanced with a fireplace . Very friendly staff. Our new favorite restaurant.
I pass by this restaurant almost every day but last Saturday night I finally sat down for a wonderful dinner with my mum and I can say this will be one of my go-to Italian restaurants from now on. The service was great and the food was fantastic! I highly recommend the Baked Clams *chef’s kiss
Cute restaurant, slightly above average food. Very affordable, so pretty good value. Unfortunately, the service let us down. We were one of the last tables sat (8:45 on Friday), and while we can understand that's a busy time for servers to start a new table, the service got worse as the night progressed. Excellent maitre d though!
The restaurant is nice but the food was like Gen Z people say mid. I was really looking forward to the food here but it wasn’t that great. It’s a bit pricey so I was expecting something better. The servers were also a bit rude and not welcoming. The bread was hard, the calamari needed more Crispiness and to be more softened. The Vegan ravioli needs to be updated because the presentation and the quality of the meal was poor.
I recently attended a private event at Manetta’s and left feeling disappointed overall. Our group of about 30 people was squeezed into a tight space in the back of the restaurant, right next to the bathroom. Throughout the night, people from outside our party kept walking into the area to wait for the restroom, which made what was supposed to be a private gathering feel anything but. The group was split across three small tables, and the layout was so cramped that guests and servers were constantly squeezing behind chairs just to move around. Considering the restaurant didn’t seem very busy for a Saturday night, a long table by the window would have offered a much better setup. The food itself was just okay. The standout was the swordfish—tender, flaky, and nicely smoky. The eggplant was also very good. However, the pasta dishes were disappointing. The red sauce tasted overly sweet and canned, and my pasta was undercooked. The orecchiette with broccoli rabe was fine, but not particularly memorable. Everything was served family-style, but the portions felt uneven between tables. On the positive side, our head waiter was excellent—attentive, professional, and doing his best with the cramped layout. Overall, good service but average food, and the poorly arranged event space really took away from the experience.
The service is soooo poor, the wait time to get food in an empty restaurant which had barely 3 tables in use was way long that you would expect, the reason I am giving a one star atleast is because the margarita pizza is awesome!!! One of the best I have ever had but the pasta is much below average. Have tried so many restaurants and this one just did not hit the mark. Would not recommend at all. Server was good but the wait time is the worst!!
I went on a dinner date with my boyfriend for valentine’s day & the staff was really nice , but our waiter on the other hand?? not so much. He was impatient with us & very passive aggressive. Maybe because we were more on the younger side but he treated the older people who were having dinner so much nicer. They took forever to bring the food & didn’t even give us a dessert menu until we were getting ready to leave like huh? & our check , we ended up having to pay in the front. I honestly wasn’t planning on tipping him because he wasn’t very nice and the vibe was off but my boyfriend was going to & the waiter thought he did such an amazing job that he deserved a bigger tip & was very aggressive towards us regarding that. You’re lucky we even thought of giving you something but he deserves no tip, whatsoever. Overall just get a better waiter with better energy.
I dined at this restaurant and they charged me twice the amount of what was the original bill. This has never happened to me ever in New York at any restaurant. I would not recommend this place unless you want your card to be charged for more than what you pay
Loyalty Doesn’t Always Matter: My Disheartening Experience at Manetta’s Ristorante After 18 years as a loyal customer, I never thought Manetta's Ristorante would behave this way. What started as a disappointing meal—overly garlicky, overpriced appetizers with tiny slices tomatoes (photo is bigger than it actually is) —quickly spiraled into something far worse. When I ordered takeout, Diane (possibly the owner, handling my order) failed to complete it properly. When I pointed out the mistake, she blamed me, offering nothing more than a half-hearted apology. Worse yet, her "solution" was completely unreasonable: I could either trek back in the cold or wait for a late delivery—both incredibly inconvenient. To top it off, the food lacked flavor, as if it had been prepared by someone just learning how to cook rather than a skilled chef. It was nothing more than carbs, and definitely not worth the price. What stung the most, though, was the realization that the staff didn’t even recognize me as a loyal customer until I mentioned it. Diane, who is there frequently, didn’t even make an effort to remember faces or acknowledge long-time customer, which made the experience feel impersonal and dismissive. As a long time customer, being treated this way was beyond frustrating. Family-owned or not, mistreatment like this is unacceptable. Sadly, I can no longer recommend Manetta's. There are too many other local spots that know how to treat their customers with respect.
