I love this location. Restaurant is clean, the atmosphere is nice. Our go to are the chicken salad, cucumber salad (if you like a lot of garlic), eggplant with garlic sauce, and their signature lanzhou noodles. If you spend I believe over $60/$75 they give you a $5 gift card discount for your next meal.
I love coming here alone, they serve quick and their store made noodles are the best. They also have awesome stick food, sides, and the spicy cumin burger. It's clean and has the modern Asian/Chinese style. I think some parts of their menu are an acquired taste sort of thing, but their #1 #2 signature langzhu noodles are listed first for a reason.
I went here for lunch and had the beef bottle and pork burger with soda combo. The beef noodles were good. The broth had nice rich flavor and transferred to the noodles well. The noodles had a nice bouncy bite. The pork burger wasn't so great unfortunately - the pork barely had any flavor but the bun was good. The service was spectacular. They were not rushing me but also attentive and the food came out pretty fast.
Delicious food in a clean and modern setting. The Lanzhou signature soup is great, as well as the mala noodles. The BBQ meats are tender and savory (wish they had beer to go with it). The service is great and overall it’s an amazing value.
I liked everything. And that it was clean and the waiters were friendly. The only downsides are that I would add more pictures of the main dishes to the menu and of course the dishes are warm. But I want to eat them hot. If you don't have time to serve them hot, heat them up in the microwave or something?
Cozy interior, clean. They immediately bring water or green tea for free. Our whole family loves their lanzhou noodle non spicy and spicy version. You can choose thinner or thicker noodles. Children love to take tasty drinks from the refrigerator themselves. The food is delicious. Rich broth, tasty meat, great noodles. Children love this place.
Food was seasoned well and tasty. The bbq skewers were amazing too. Staff is really friendly as well.
The lamb was amazing as well as the dry pot, would definitely come back
Great food at affordable prices! The staff were wonderful as well. The dry hotpot consisted of high quality ingredients and was cooked with rich savory spices.
This is the new location just opened, and surprisingly taste better than any other locations. Their signature noodle soup is my go to option, and if you like spicy, definitely try the Mung bean noodles and skewers. I also liked the modern decoration.

The food here is absolutely delicious. Everything is reasonably priced and the service is great. It was too crowded when we went so we were seated immediately.
This place already feels like home to me and my boyfriend. We come here every week, you can't go wrong. The food is really good and full of flavors. The prices are descent and fair. The service is good, can’t say anything. We get the same thing everytime and the waiters already know my specialties. I will definitely be coming back again and again and recommend for everyone who likes Chinese cuisine.
I usually come here for their noodles and 1 main dish with my wife. Their noodles are delicious, and we like the main main dish as well. We tried some of their appetizers, and they are fine, I am just not a big appetizer person. This is the usually spot my wife and I come to as their food and price to value is good. Good food with decent prices, can't go wrong.
Dun Huang is a cozy spot for good food at an amazing price. The portions are large, and the flavors are balanced. The garlic oysters were a highlight—huge and perfectly grilled. I also loved the thick noodles in the Big Plate Chicken dish. The beef in the hand-pulled noodles was just ok and could’ve been more tender. The beef skewers were very average, but the enoki mushroom skewers were a surprising hit. This location is brighter and renovated vs. the 8th Ave spot, making it a more comfortable dining experience with less-crowded street parking. Overall, it’s a solid choice for a large meal.
Lunch for 2, food came fast, in today’s world, I must say nice prices, decent amount of food. The chicken skewers were surprisingly tender. Hand pulled noodles were in the right texture and the beef was excellent, tender, not chewy, not “melty”, was very happy with it. No services truly, after food were delivered on table, server never came back to check in, my teacup was empty, there were 2 tables only before dinner time starts. The decor is nice, simple yet calming with the wood them accent. Update after 3 months- Feb 2024 Must say the are not doing as good as I wish they are. While it’s dinner time and many other restaurants nearby are packed with diners, this spot had 2 tables including us. There were 3 of them in the front, girl was very impatient when asked about a different between 2 similar noodle soup, she shown it right away in her tone and face the whole time. The entire dinner experience was not pleasant, three was them came back to bring what we ordered or take away empty plates but no one ever offer us more tea. Till the last drop, they came, yet no one bother to fill more tea. Not attentive and shown careless as well. A bit bummed since I due really like their food.
Quite expensive but worth it. I enjoyed their food as it was tasty but the flavors get a little repetitive after a while. Their cold dish, eggplant, didn't come out cold but instead piping hot so not sure what the deal is there. The noodles and the soup were the stars of the meal. Oysters were large and skewers were okay. If I had to come back it would be for the noodle soup. Service was good though not all their staff spoke English. So there was a lot of pointing and broken mando for some parties of my group. At the end of the meal they didn't really let you choose your tip they kinda select it for you and watch you closely as you accept the iPad and sign as is... that part i didn't agree with how they handled it
We have been to this place a few times. Lamb/beef burgers, beef noodles, and lamb BBQ are our favorites, but we don't like their wide noodles. They make this type of noodles way too thin. I almost thought they were store-bought instead of handmade. The taste of the Ma La pot is rich in flavor, and the portions are also generous with lots of variety. The only complaint is that some of the food is still cold when the Ma La pot is just brought to our table.
The food was pretty good but portions are on the smaller side for the price. The waitresses are very attentive. We went on weekday at 5:30 pm so it was almost empty. Also I see reviews about the eggplant salad dish being hot but its a cold dish, I can confirm it does come hot. Overall it was pleasant eating there.

I tried the cumin lamb burger and it was just okay — it didn’t have enough cumin flavor, and all I could really taste was the heat. That said, I’ll probably come back for it since it’s the only place I know in Brooklyn that offers a cumin lamb burger. As for the pickle fish with noodles, I wasn’t impressed. All the flavor was in the soup, while the noodles and fish were bland and lacked seasoning.
Good bowl of noodles at a fair price. However, I think it’s got a lot more to learn from the Flushing location…
The restaurant is located in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn. They prepare Chinese cuisine. I ordered the Taiwan sausage appetizer. It is similar to a hot dog and was served on a wooden skewer. The crab meat steamed dumplings were six in the order. They were very soft and watery. The chicken pan fried noodles were similar to lo mein noodles with little chicken. The food was average in taste and flavor. Friendly and helpful staff.
We ordered signature beef soup noodles, Dunhuang cold noodles, spicy cumin lamb burger, stew pork burger, chicken salad and a roasted lamb shank for lunch. The noodles were good and have very good texture to it. The pork burger and cold noodles were kind of bland and the lamb shank was dry. Spicy cumin lamb burger and chicken salad were have good flavor and tasty. I will comeback for certain items on the menu.
