The Fish Maw Egg Custard, Crispy Chicken, and Pan-Fried Noodles (Liang Mian Huang) were quite good. The Broccoli with Shrimp Balls was okay, though the broccoli lacked flavor. The vegetables felt a bit tough. As for service, it was standard but prone to errors; they missed an item on our order and forgot to hand over our takeout bag. The price-to-portion ratio is reasonable, making it an acceptable value overall.
Great Cantonese cuisine restaurant. High heat wok stir fry dishes. The steak cubes is twice the size and portion compared to Jing Li. Stir fried seabass cubes is my favorite. Tonight they had a special: crispy pigeon, so crispy my wife ate the whole head; it just disintegrated in the mouth like potato chips. And the other dish is stir fry razor clams. The best Cantonese restaurant!
I have my mother's birthday dinner here. She love the food here even she from Manhattan. The witches is very kind. I don't have a chance to take all dishes because the food is very delicious.

It's a storefront, wheelchair accessible. I dine in and also had takeout. You should try the special lunch menu, one big dish with rice. If you order takeout, The dish and the rice are packed separately. It's a Cantonese restaurant.
Took my family 25+ people out to eat dinner today. The food was amazing. I can't complain, the food was really tasty. I got good feedback from family members. Prices were reasonable. My family and I had a pretty good experience. We will definitely come back here to eat again.
Been here twice so far and will definitely be coming back. My whole family loves their canton style dishes. With picky old school elders to please when dining out, this is the place. Its not a big space, like those busy and hectic big seafood restaurants with traditional Cantonese cuisine. But Farmhouse definitely tops them off. Reasonably priced for their reasonable portions. Every dish on the menu we chose was savory and not heavy on grease. Us Asains, especially elders are despise greasy food. Hard to say which is my favorite. And they have the most gracious welcoming staff who is happy to give you recommendations if you can't read chinese from the menu. (Yes, they have English menu but the best traditional dishes are on the Chinese menu)
We ordered 3 dishes (pepper pork chops, stir fried green beans and beef chow fun). More than enough for 3 adults. Taste good and fresh. Not salty or oily. We will definitely come back later.
Pretty decent food and service is quite quick. Atmosphere is generally not loud. Good restaurant for a large group of people.

Ordered 4 large dishes for 104$ and had leftovers Everyone was really full and what I didn't expect was they gave out oranges at the end of the meal like a real Chinese restaurant

Update from Aug 2025 dining experience. Tried their steamed chicken soup with coconut, it was good. And tried their beef stew and razor clams, they were very nice too. Changing the stars to 4 stars. In today’s “culinary world”, many fast and fine dining Chinese restaurants are cutting corners to use pre-prepared food or artificial flavors in their food, so a Cantonese spot is a preferred choice to go, at least they use fresh ingredients and freshly made when ordered. So this spot became our go to when we are in Bensonhurst area. Would love to give more stars because the portion and overall flavor is okay, but they were all too oily. The space is clean and not cluttered, servers were alright. Would return, I guess I will specify less oil to all items next time and see if that would change the outcome.
Most of our food was average. Standouts were the chicken salty fish fried rice, snow pea leaves, and fish fillets. It's a small place and service is just ok. Bring cash - bill was all in Chinese.
Came here for Thanksgiving dinner, and we ordered a wide range of dishes that came out tasting pretty good, although it felt like the food was warm instead of hot. My favorite dish was the mayo shrimp with walnuts, and it tasted very good. The fried frogs were a bit disappointing as they were about 80% flour. The staff were friendly and engaging. There weren't a lot of people when we arrived so it's definitely beet to have an early dinner here before the crowd.
The restaurant is very clean, decor is okay, they do have some nice wallpaper. Food is just a bit above average. Felt like their stove is not hot enough or not enough wok-hey. Food felt not tasty enough but decent enough.

I had a very positive experience at New Farmhouse Eatery and am giving it a 4-star rating. The service was a highlight, earning a solid 4 stars for being attentive and helpful. Both the food and the atmosphere were also good, each deserving 3 stars. It’s a reliable and pleasant spot for a meal!
Fried rice is good but fish is worse than I expected. Pretty expensive. Nothing more!
Not the best restaurant on the street . Food is not yummy like in another Chinese places, it tasted like old chicken. Egg were well cooked, shrimp are not fresh. Service was friendly Prices are medium, what I dont like is the that they accept only cash .

Had dinner when first open. The place is spacious, clean and friendly, better environment than the other. The portion of dishes were too small for its price. Be careful if you order live seafood, they don't want you to see weighting, so they can over charge you. Experience is average.

Changing rating to 2 stars. Good service and food arrived quickly. Unfortunately, hygiene is awful. After food arrived, I spotted a German roach crawling on the floor and then a minutes later, a hair in the food. ___________________ 4 stars Had the 10.95 lunch specials - 椒鹽骨 salt and pepper pork and 魚香茄子 salted fish with eggplant which includes soup and rice. Great value for the portion given and both dishes were seasoned well. Menu in Chinese only.

Hmmm. Good place to go on Christmas if you’re not Christian. And by good I mean it’s a Chinese restaurant. The waiter staff was not well trained and attitudes were apparent despite the language barrier. Some food was forgotten, several dishes were served cold. Probably won’t return, but if you don’t mind subpar food and service, go!

We ordered take out here just to come back and see that we were given little to no food for the huge price tag. Those tiny portions of meat were $17 each. The $80 lobster noodle dish only has about 1 lobster and 2 portions of noodles… and we tried calling to express our concerns, all they said was they can’t talk we are busy with phone calls… don’t order here if you want to get your moneys worth. There are so many other good restaurants on 86th st. And complaining will do nothing here as they won’t acknowledge you at all. I’m definitely not coming back

Service very bad! The worst restaurant in Brooklyn.
Worst attitude, I have been booking for a table a week ago, when I came here, I still have to wait. Just give to another person without booking.
