I love the specialty hot dogs they make here. Theyre my guilty pleasure. The drinks are also decent and staff is friendly :)
I've been waiting for a local spot like this to open up on my block. Phil's, a romantic dimly-lit wine bar, isn't what I expected would visit this bustling corner of Knickerbocker and Cornelia, but--hey!--I'm not complaining. This is a place I feel comfortable wearing flip flops and sipping Malbec. Shovel popcorn into your mouth while you contemplate the charcuterie plate! Chat with the friendly staff! Tell jokes at their open mic! The music makes me move (or maybe that's the drinks?). The wine is top-notch. It's a neighborhood joint. A good time. Long live Phil's!
Super cozy and inviting from the moment you step in the door. Lots of great regulars, excellent wine, beer, spirits, and food selection. Thursday night comedy is always a great time.
Awesome spot that is really homey. Really nice hot dogs and nice affordable prices all around. Been open since like 2017 and happy to see it always filled with people.
Very very friendly service. Just super pleasant experience can’t say how good the staff is. Real pros. Liberty is the best bartender in bushwick!
This place has waylaid my plans to ‘make dinner at home’ so many times they should have a frequent diner program 😅 Get a dog Get a grilled cheese Come for the specials that 🔥never🔥miss or the pop up ramen Friday nights There’s gonna be something on the menu that’s gonna make you happy 😎
The grilled cheese & tomato soup feeds the soul ♥️ great cocktail menu as well
Phil's is a fantastic neighborhood bar with a very cool staff. Great food, pretty backyard, and an awesome spicy margarita! Love Phil's!
Awesome hang out spot to unwind after a long work day. Great bites with a nice selection of cheeses. The owners are super nice providing an overall great experience.
Love the pop ups they do here! Super fun and chill
Great bar, affordable drinks, chill fun vibe, nice backyard, delicious food, super great service!
Love this spot 😻 great cocktails and food. Service is fantastic and super friendly. So happy it’s in the neighborhood.
Came here with a big group and was taken care of. Good wine list and the food satisfied us all. Great new spot.
Great chill spot. They have darts and tasty snacks. Love having this place in the neighborhood. 10/10 recommend!
This bar has a very nice, chill, and friendly vibe. The staff welcoming and you may even find new friends in some of the other patrons, I know I did. The drinks are made well and the food is great.
Everything about Phil's is DIVINE. The staff are so nice and friendly, the drinks are yum and the food is phenomenal - honestly can't get over how nice the grilled cheese & tomato soup was. Dare I say; best bar in Brooklyn.
A friendly, fun, and funky neighborhood spot where everyone feels like family. Creative concoctions and fair pricing; hard to get a sweet deal and a hot dog this good anywhere these days. A true gem once you find it.
Phil's is beyond a wonderful place to enjoy a small bite to eat, lunch or dinner. Well even to have a drink to celebrate your happiness or drink sorrows away. It's basically the bushwick version of Cheers where everyone knows your name. Want to have a great time go to Phil's.. Vanessa, Liberty and Ryan will become your new Best Friends. Tell them Jen sent you. They know all my dreams and drama
Amazing not so little bar tucked away off the Myrtle-Wyckoff L stop, cheap prices even for their signature drinks and tons of deals, the vibes were great and the bartender was polite. Had more drinks than I expected to and was not disappointed. Jalapeño margs are great and the pb&j shot was also delish. Definitely will frequent this establishment
Really beautiful space. What a great addition to the neighborhood! Barkeeps are mad friendly. Super fun mix of wine/charcuterie & beer/shot. New car smell vs. your typical dive bar bile. Y'all come truuuu! Also "Phil" is the owners' cat and if that's just not really adorable and fun then like...
Stumbled across this spot yesterday. The atmosphere was great and the food was fantastic. Great place to kick back and enjoy a beer or wine plus they a have comedy night on Thursdays. #WIN
My roommates and I love this place! All the workers are always so nice, and we’re big fans of the lavender gin lemonade. The whole place is adorable and their drinks are delicious.
They make cocktails serve beer have daiquiris and pina colada’s that are tasty especially when enjoyed in the summer in the backyard. Chill place that also does a pop up ramen co-op every other Friday. All dope.
Great owner, great staff and great vibe. It’s not saturated with privileged art school kids neither is it a site for sports bro’s to congregate. Also if you ever go try one of their banh mi dogs. I’m always suspicious of fusion food, but man was I blow away by that.
Super cute neighborhood spot with a spacious yard and delightful small plates. I love the starf*cker cocktail in particular. Very kind staff too. Definitely worth checking out!
A beautiful bar run by beautiful people, with beautiful drinks and beautiful drunks. Hot dogs a plenty. You'll want to give them all your money and you probably should because they will look after you and make you feel at home.
I visited San Diego and had a fantastic meal with two friends. We ordered the Full Rib Dinner with Black Bean and Corn Slaw, Chicken Wings, Corn Bread, along with two beers and a cocktail. I wasn't expecting much from the cocktails since they were reasonably priced, but they turned out to have a nice balance—not too sweet and just the right amount of alcohol. The ribs were incredibly tender and delicious on their own, but dipping them in the accompanying sauce took them to the next level. The Black Bean and Corn Slaw was a standout; I was genuinely surprised by how good it was—definitely a must-try side! Even weeks later, I still can’t forget that flavor. The Chicken Wings were a bit spicy for my taste, but they were still tasty. The Corn Bread had actual corn kernels in it, which made it even better, and they were generous with the butter. The portions were quite large, and we ended up taking some home, but I wish I could have finished it all! It was a great way to kick off my trip with such delicious food.
The bartender, Liberty was so lovely and the food was delicious. I ordered the fig and gruyere grilled cheese with Tomato soup and was not disappointed! The Lavender Gin Lemonade was fantastic and the PB&J shots are perfect. Will definitely come back!
Such a great place!! My friend brought me here. Great craft beer selection, amazing snacks and great atmosphere!! I will be back!!
Great selection of wines and a fantastic staff that make you feel at home. Couldn’t ask for a cozier neighborhood bar. Can’t wait to go back!
Pleasantly surprised! Drinks were good food was very good bartenders very friendly!
I LOVE THIS BAR. seriously I probably go way too often. Great prices ($4 Jameson !) and the bartenders are awesome. Great ambience and a back patio perfect for drinks with friends. The menu is awesome with lots of different options for meals. All in all this is the best bar in bushwick. They even have CBD cocktails!

Phil's is a great small bar that has a very genuine feel. The food is never bad, it's always fun and unique. We have become regulars because the prices are not bad and mostly because the staff puts effort into everything they do. Its a great place for a fun drink and meal.
The back patio is so relaxing and chill. Beautiful.
Great staff here! They source quality ingredients- great cheeses on the charcuterie and for grilled cheeses. The Wednesday dinner specials are divine.
This place is the living room you need in Brooklyn. They have darts, a projector that usually plays Bob Ross painting or episodes of The Office, and some board games in the back. Most importantly: the owner and frequent bartender Vanessa will be your friend in a heartbeat. She’s always warm and jolly, and it makes the place feel worth coming back to over and over. Been going here since it opened, and will keep going back.
Great bar with an amazing staff! Highly recommended!
This place slaps any day, every day. Food? solid. Drinks? solid. Vibe? solid. Seating? almost always. Board games, projector screen, back patio, and the best grilled cheese you've had at a bar, period. Phil's has the juice.
I definitely have to come back. I went and had the fig jam and gruyere grilled cheese with the tomato soup on the side. So delicious. I will be back for more of those and its just really chill vibes.
Absolutely amazing staff. The atmosphere is perfect for a date or night with mates. Highly recommend the food as well, from the warm pretzel or grilled bacon cheese sandwich with tomato soup. Or if you want to be posh the cheese board.
Phil’s is my favorite bar in the neighborhood. They’re super sweet and covid conscious. Good backyard area for social distance drinking. I’ve never had a bad experience. Great drinks at a great price, highly recommend choosing this gem. (And the food pop ups are great)
I can’t wait for this place to open again, although the “amboozelance” is one of the best ideas I have seen come out of quarantine! Best bar, really. All drinks are so tasty and I have tried them ALL. Wine is quality and so affordable. And the food! (I may have also tried every hot dog on the menu because they all sounded so good and I couldn’t decide! 🤷🏻♀️) In summary: 10 out of 10, highly recommend! 🙌
There's a million and ten reasons I love this place. Friendly service, great happy hour, good and affordable cocktails, pop-ups, etc. they have a great lineup and I love being a regular here. Board games, too! My partner and I love to grab some bananagrams and fight over a drink. But the reason I keep coming back? Homemade pretzels. Their food menus is great, don't get me wrong, but the pretzels are gods gift to the unsober. Mustard AND cheese?! I get to choose! And a few pickles slices, if that's your style!! Seriously a must.
All the bartenders are amazing. Tom, Liberty and Vanessa are heaven sent amazing beautiful people who want to make you feel at home.

Prices are decent, atmosphere is chill and they have some fun games you can play here as well. Good place to relax, drink and play jenga with some friends.
Had a passionfruit margarita for the first time and it was excellent. If I'm ever here again, it'll be my go-to drink. They also serve a pretzel that melts in your mouth. Excellent pairing with your choice of beverage. The only con is that it closes early on a Thursday night.

The hostess was very sweet and kind about it but they do not allow dogs in their establishment, not even the backyard. I tried going there today and it was a bust because I brought my chihuahua. The drinks seem yummy!
You can smell the segregation in there drinks, the yt male bartenders made everything uncomfortable every time I come here, and I try to come here a lot, but thank god a black friendly bar opened up down the block. Phil’s is a racist sundown kinda bar, avoid
I went to this location last night with two buddies of mine from work through heavy rain because they said it was a very nice bar to end our long day at work at. We were even happy to know that there was a comedy show happening. After buying a bottle of wine I went near the front to drink the wine with my work buddies. We were talking to ourselves quietly when a gentleman named Matt (who I was said told was a manager of phils.). if we did not quiet down that they would force us to leave. Of course that soured the night for us since we came out to this place directly from work. The entire staff was pretty kind up until my interaction with him. To avoid any kind of problem further with the show my coworkers and I downed our wine as fast as possible and left. All of this happen in just 5 minutes of entering. If you go to Phils just remember that if it's a comedy show they expect you to remain completely silent unless you laugh quietly so be aware of that. It does bum me out that in my neighborhood there is a place I wouldn't be suggesting to people :/
Racist bar! I’ve been in the area for some years and shared a few good experiences at this bar. The other day while hanging with friends, it was brought up that this space is not a fan of people of color and tonight I had my own experience. The bar girl was super disrespectful! She never greeted my friend or I but decided to tell us that “we needed to move over because her friend had a seat at the bar”… she never greeted us and it was a disgusting feeling.. if I had the time, I would have told her a word or two! I will never ever go back and btw, Filthy Diamond, which is a bar down the street is so much better!!!!
