Just look at the so call soup thick gooey that will have chocking trying to swallow, just say you out soup, plantain half green and tough and the fish was small fine looking like little goldfish but never seen porgie so small but. But am more upset about the soup because I was hungry second time I have been severed soup that went to the trash. I always buy soup from fisherman because they actually have the best soup no other placed i ever try came close to them but lately food is not worth it any more.

The wait isn’t great because they’re understaffed, the ladies Over there make you feel unwelcomed, like they’re bothered you came in to buy. The gentleman are nicer , they’re quick and helpful. I rarely go to a lot West Indian restaurants because it’s the same thing.. What added to my frustration was the fact that my plantain was uncooked on the inside… it was gross. I bit into it only to find the inside raw. Imagine goin into a store where you don’t feel welcomed , buying their food and part of it is Uncooked. I threw it away because I was annoyed. I wasn’t going to waste any more time going back… I waited long enough for the food could you imagine the wait to correct this issue and the attitude I would’ve gotten. I just took a pic of it and threw it away.

Currently on holiday in New York and remembered eating here during my last visit. So we revisited yesterday. Service was a bit abrupt from the lady who took the order. Typical New York Jamaican style I guess. We ordered two lots of Jerk Chicken and two lots of Oxtail medium meals. Prices were a lot higher than in the UK. Just over $60 for the food. In general it tasted good. The jerk chicken isn't done over charcoal like back in London, but the gas grill does a good enough job. However there was nowhere near enough sauce on the Oxtail meals. That seems to be a running theme in a lot of the comments. Also the Oxtails themselves are cut quite small so are around half the size that I would get from a UK West Indian takeaway meal. It's a real shame that they seem to be intent on giving small portions of everything except for the rice, because the food is really flavourful. It's 50/50 on whether I'll eat here again when I'm back in New York in the future. The price just didn't reflect the quality and quantity.

The lady who was serving my food was on the phone also not wearing gloves . When k asked her for pepper she was rude and acting as if I’m disturbing her conversation. She answered me saying we don’t have any so I proceeded to ask her for barbecue sauce she said you have to pay before k could get another word out she shoved my food in the bag and handed it to me . Definitely not a good look for Jamaicans and I’m Jamaican

It's good food for a decent price, but they don't prioritize whoever ordered first, just who's food is easiest to make. Worker gave attitude to person reasonably upset that several people who ordered after her were getting their food, leading to a yelling match, and customer cursing at the worker before getting a refund and leaving. Crazy. They also seem to get stressed during rush hour. A lot of people were coming in and they kept taking order after order without telling anyone that they ran out of jerk chicken, the thing most people get here, and it was packed with people begrudgingly waiting. The chicken wasn't the only thing they were running out of too. When I finally got my food the worker hurriedly tried to close the container to give it to me and I had to call him multiple times to tell him I wanted sauce. Not sure why I bothered though, since he didn't listen and put the wrong sauce on one of the food despite asking me if I wanted it and I replying no. And yes, I tried to tell him to stop as he was putting it but he ignored me the whole time. Love that customer service. If I hadn't already waited almost 30 minutes for the food I would've asked for him to change it but by then I just wanted to leave. Definitely rethinking buying from here

The only thing I like ike about this resturant is that they have a special for the snapper that only cost me about 13 dollars for a medium. What I notice however is that theres no real different between a large food and a medium food. The portion is the same. They hardly give your rice but I guess your only actually paying for the meat. The food is okay but everytime I buy the snapper dinner theres a different taste in the beginning it was actually good now it isn't. Theres always a line and the servers are a little slow.

Poor product quality. On Saturday January 11, 2025 I bought a patty from the location at Flatbush Junction.. I noticed that one side of the patty was burn ( BUN UP BAD) . I ask the cashier to exchange the patty. The cashier told me that all the patties are of that quality. I then requested a refund. The cashier then call her manager to do the refund.. eventually the manager came and they were able to find one cold patty that was not badly burnt, after searching through over 20 patties. SMH .. They exchange the patty and didn’t even apologize.. SMH I could go on and on talking about this patty but instead I will attached a pic of the patty and my proof of purchase.

Go to Exquisite on Glenwood for better customer service. This is the burnt, disgusting Jerk chicken we got from Fisherman yesterday 🤮 Unfortunately it was a take out order and it was too late to go back, we called them but nobody picked up. The worst part was when I called back and spoke to the manager she had to be the most despicable human being I’ve ever encounter. So Sandra (and I know it’s a fake name cause none of your coworkers knew that name) this message is for you: you are the rudest, most ignorant person I have ever met, your less than smart self has to legitimacy working in the service business. You are clearly unhappy in your life and there is something wrong about you. You refused to give me the owners number and gave me a fake email but I know he will see this review. You guys receive so many customers complaints about your employees attitude and do nothing about it. And you expect to stay in business???!!! Edit : Guys please go to Exquisite on Glenwood, the food and the customer service is way better !

Not fresh and rubbery chicken. I purchased my food on Uber eats. They took forever to prepare it. Different delivery individuals showed up, just to turn away because the food took so long. And when the food arrived, it was drenched in oxtail gravy and white beans, although I ordered jerk chicken, rice & salad. The chicken was so rubbery it was so disgusting to chew. Only thing that was fresh and somewhat decent was the salad. Or lack there was. Never getting my business again. When people order food, make sure you send them fresh food. Because you know you wouldn’t want people giving you old, nasty food. So why m give it to customers.

The customer service is lacking. Employees are talking over the food having full on convos. Not to mention I asked my mother to pick up some fish because I was I’ll. And the fish was either no good or very old.
