Great spot! The service is very friendly and welcoming, and the place is clean. They have a big variety of warm food and authentic pastries. Definitely worth a visit.
Georgian Corner is one of the best Georgian restaurants I have dined at. This restaurant has a harmonious blend of just about everything. To list a few categories, Georgian Corner serves sweets, bread, and food. Best of all, this restaurant is great in all culinary and service areas. As a restaurant guest, I couldn’t be happier. Full disclosure, I found out that this restaurant owner happened to be one of my former students in Tbilisi, Georgia. What are the odds of this coincidence? Luka, magari katsi xar! Gilocav! I am very proud of you. Keep up the great work, my brother. I love Georgian Corner, because it made me feel like I was a kid in a candy store. I pretty much wanted to relive the glorious times, I experienced in Georgia. I couldn’t possibly order everything on the menu, but I tried. My experience was delightful. The atmosphere was spectacular. The entire staff was warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Didi Madloba! I highly recommend Georgian Corner, for all of your Georgian nostalgic needs. Enjoy your dining experience. Blessings!
People are nice for this mostly ethnic. Patient should come here, obviously for Georgian food and produce. I visit this place mostly two cats frozen cheese dumplings called Khinkali. Prices are the same as in any other same type of the store.
I saw and heard nothing but great things about Georgian cuisine for approximately one decade and today I've tried it for the first time and I enjoyed it. Georgian Corner is definitely the place to get a bite of soulfully delicious Georgian foods and delights. Yummy, yummy for your mouth and tummy. Also, the staff there, are pleasant and very helpful, they all deserve five stars for their wonderful customer service. I'll be back to enjoy the dishes that I didn't get a moment to eat. 👌
It was our first time at this restaurant. There was a wide variety of dishes, some, like the beef cake, were freshly prepared and baked to order. The food felt like home cooking, fresh and made with care. You can tell it's a family restaurant; they were very friendly and explained how to eat some dishes. The portions were generous, and we took home the leftovers. I definitely recommend this place. As an extra note, I'm from Colombia and my partner is from Germany, and we really enjoyed this meal.
Nowhere to wash your hands, didn't see a restroom. No price tags on desserts. Friendly and polite staff. I liked all the food I tried. Fruit cake is very tasty but a bit expensive. "Shu" cakes here have a slightly fatty cream. "Syrniky" are excellent. "Kharcho" soup is not too spicy, tasty, and contains a lot of well-cooked meat. Everywhere is clean and the interior is beautiful.
First time to try Georgian food and this place! INCREDIBLE!!! The chicken cutlet with mushroom was unbelievable - we ended up taking 2 for the next day cause they werte just sooooo good :) We got the beef dumplings, the spinach and cheese pastry which I liked so much. Will go back♥️ Staff are super kind and all smiley - it’s a place that you’d enjoy spending time at 😊
The food was very nice here, however, everything was on the salty side. The shish kebab was juicy and flavorful, the mashed potato came with the meal was creamy and well seasoned. The rice was pretty good, too. The roasted chicken was a little dry, but the flavor was good. Acharuli Khachapuri was delicious, the bread was crispy on the outside and very soft on the inside. The sauce in the middle was very nice and creamy. It was so therapeutic to stirring it and mixing it together. Tolma with Grape Leafs were very nice, too. It was my first time trying tolma with meat stuffings, and it was very good. Spinach pie was also delightful. It was flaky on the outside and cheesy on the inside. My favorite dish of the day was their Khinkali, it was steamy hot when it was served. I tried to hold it up by the knob, but it was just too hot for me. Haha. So I had to use a fork to support it. The soup inside was so flavorful, it was a bit sour, a little salty, and the stuffing was very fresh. It was extremely tasty. For dessert, we got Kada with walnuts and raisin and honey cake. The Kada has a very interesting texture, it was very light and airy, and it melts in my mouth along with the pungent walnut flavor. The honey cake was very nice, too. It was much more dense than the Kada. We also tried some of their drinks, the banana and guava juice was quite interesting and nice. The cream flavored lemonade was interesting. Overall, the food was very nice, and the staff were very friendly. We had a good time here, and I’d come back again if I’m in the neighborhood again.
I visited Georgian Corner today, a Georgian restaurant with traditional Georgian dishes. The restaurant offers a variety of ready-to-eat dishes, as well as the option to take food to go or dine in. There is even a lovely outdoor seating area, perfect for warm days. I tried the “Shota bread” and a potato pie. The bread, although not prepared in the traditional tandoor oven, was still very tasty. The potato pie had a delicious filling and the dough was soft and delicate. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes they were serving. Overall, I had a great experience at Georgian Corner. The food was authentic and flavorful, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a taste of Georgian cuisine.
The restaurant is located in the Coney Island section of Brooklyn. They prepare cuisine from the country of Georgia which is in Europe. It was a former part of the U.S.S.R.(Russia). The food includes various soups, breads, hot and cold dishes and desserts. I ordered a large slice of chocolate layer cake that was fresh and very good. Friendly and helpful staff.
On the plus side, the place is quite clean by New York standards, which is always appreciated. It’s spacious and filled with tables — though surprisingly, there is no table service. You have to order and pick up your food yourself, yet tips are still added to the check automatically, which felt a bit odd. One inconvenience was that the prices listed on the menu did not match what we were actually charged. The cashier did mention that prices may vary, but it makes it hard to estimate the bill when ordering. As lovers of Georgian cuisine, we were both curious and critical. The kharcho was flavorful and rich — definitely a win for those who like bold and spicy dishes. However, it might be too spicy for some. The khachapuri was quite disappointing. The dough was unevenly baked, the filling tasted like plain bryndza, and we could barely find cheese — a key ingredient for authentic taste. The cheese portion overall was very small. The eggplant rolls were decent — nothing extraordinary, but pleasant. As for the khinkali, the shape and dough were good, but the meat filling was extremely salty, which overpowered the flavor. In summary: if you're not too familiar with Georgian food, this might be a satisfying stop. But for those who know and love authentic Caucasian cuisine, the experience may fall short.
Too expensive for a wheat dish with mushrooms and eggplant; I didn't even order meat separately and they served it cold ($30). I don't recommend it
🚨🚨🚨🚨Yesterday we bought churchkhela for the kids, dolma and sweet water. To my horror the kids ate half of the churchkhela and found out that there are worms 🪱 I almost died 🪦 as the kids ate half of it and got sick in the evening 😞 . I hope this establishment will pay attention ‼️ to this and do something about it. PLEASE CHECK YOUR PRODUCTS YOU SELL.
