What a great hidden gem. The food here is absolutely delicious. I've been coming for breakfast here for the last two weeks and have not had a bad meal or experience. The prices are great the service is impeccable and the owner is a hard-working gentleman who knows how to cater to his customers needs. If your in the area and looking for some great food at a great price definitely walk in here you won't be disappointed.
The staff is always really nice! They have a veggie burger & you get to choose what you want on it. The veggie burger was not your typical plain veggie burger which for 6.75 I excepted it to be but this burger was better than that. Honestly one of the best!
Clean, friendly, nice staff, good selection, eat in or take out. Soup, sandwiches bergers or platters all look good. I tried the meatloaf and mash, 4 stars. This was my first time here it wont be the last.
Great spot! A perfect alternative to the overpriced food court of Industry City. The food is great, affordable, and prepared quickly. The Staff: friendly and warm, they simply have too much to do and are too busy to baby you. They are quick, efficient and courteous! They have NEVER gotten my order wrong, and often find me wherever I am in the store to ask questions about my order. While online I often see rude or difficult customers who are sucking their teeth and being rude to the staff, they are probably the same customers leaving poor reviews about the service. The place seems to get crowded for lunch, I'm noticing the biggest crowds so far around 12:20-12:50. But the lines move quickly. The staff is patient with indecisive customers. Sandwiches & Wraps: A simple hero or roll will cost you between $5-7. Some specialty items and bigger sandwiches will cost you $7-10 Hot Bar: I have yet to try their hot bar which offers platters, rice, noodles etc. While it looks delicious the sandwich bar won me over. Credit Card: $10 minimum for cards Drinks: Standard prices for drinks mostly $1-2 some costing $3-4 Seating: There is room to sit 28 people. A few tables are single, most are double so if they are crowded expect to sit next to strangers. Cleanliness: The place is fairly clean. Chefs are constantly wiping down surfaces and cutlery. The staff often cleans the tables and wipes them down as well. OVERALL: I would highly recommend Hero Champ. It's steps away from the hipster food court of Industry City. There is a deli just across the street but I have not had any desire or urge to check them out, as Hero Champ satisfies my hunger needs. I visit them 2-3 times a week for my work lunches.
Less then $12 for all this!! And I could have made it a Ruben for the same price!! Steal deal and awesome food!
Still the best and freshest sandwiches in the neighborhood with warm welcomes

Best Ruben Sandwich in Brooklyn. Real new Yorkers go there for breakfast. The people working there are awesome.
Great deli which allows you to dine in if you'd like, unfortunately they close at 3pm like anything else in industry city. The staff remembers and greats you as if you're childhood frends. With soo much to choose from, and If I could, I'd order breakfast, lunch and dinner from here everyday!
This is my go to spot anytime I’m in Industry City. This place is fantastic. Great food. Great service. Great price. Can’t ask for anything more.
I would recommend the fried chicken cutlet sandwich. Made as ordered and was delicious. Employees and owner are very attentive. I'll be coming back! Thank you!
This is a true deli serving the working class. Teddy and his crew are excellent and they make sure our workers are taken care of every day. Twice a year, we order a series of 6' subs. Whatever they cannot finish they wrap up for the next day or take home. On a day to day basis, you can't go wrong with their breakfast specials. For lunch, The Champ Hero with the works is enough to share or have as lunch the next day.
I’ve been here twice in the past couple weeks and the sandwiches are very good and fresh, I came in the other day as they were closing (not knowing there hours) the guy behind the counter was very nice and still made us a sandwich as he was closing up shop, definitely recommend A+
Visiting in Brooklyn, and I stumbled upon this little corner store/restaurant. Amazing service! Delicious food! Awesome prices! My go to for breakfast when I’m in Industry City.

It’s not a bad place. Clean. Staff is friendly. No kaiser rolls and that’s a bone of contention.

Champ? Nope. Not even a contender. What an unbelievably UNDERWHELMING sandwich! I wouldn't go back if you paid me. For $10, I'd expect more than $1 worth of subpar cold cuts. Cost me $10 to know I never need to go back here.

They have crazy prices. I bought a turkey bacon egg and cheese on a roll, with a vitamin water and somehow came out to $10. If you want anything added like cheese or tomato’s it’s going to be 50 cents extra. I would not recommend.
Buyer beware. They will charge you for extra items without telling you.
At one time this was a great place until cooks started being rude. I asked for a dish that is displayed in the overhead advertisement during breakfast hours and the cook did not know what I was talking about. His reply was very rude and surprising since I never received this service from any of them before. I spoke to what seemed to be the manager and he did not care that I brought this to his attention. Thanks for not a great service! I will take my business elsewhere. If they do not care about their service -what does that tell you? I wonder how they handle their food.
From their instance on a $10 debit card minimum and an out-of-service ATM, to their weak iced coffee. Or the fact that I have, on more than one occasion, purchased milk for the office which turn out to be sour. All that and even forgiving the attitude of either of the girls behind the cash register. These guys are lucky they are the only "clean" deli close to Industry City. For now. Truly inspiring a packed lunch.
