I am glad that this place opened back up for dine-in. I have been to this establishment my fair share of times and it has never disappointed me. The food always comes out tasty, no matter what you order, and you really can't beat the prices. I used to get such yummy sushi from here. The dishes my friends and I got were $9-$11, and we all got very full. I ordered the vegetable udon today, which was very well cooked and delicious. My friends got the signature cheese spaghetti dish, which definitely looked like a treat.
Ordered takeout using fantuan (great service btw) and got the baked seafood rice. Wow, oh wow. The food was delicious. Great amount of shrimp, fish and squid. The taste can't be beat. I typically see bad reviews coming, but I've been going here for years as a local. Great people inside. They speak cantonese, but also English! Baked Portuguese chicken and the baked seafood rice dishes are just terrific! 💯
20250805::holy cow!! there was so much spagetti for the curry chicken and i ate it all up. I LOVED IT, and it was ~$9 20250723::ooo, the beef/egg/tomato/SUGAR was so sugary, i couldn't eat 1/4 of this. WHY SO MUCH SUGAR?? 20230725::canto place. an A+. i like the simple things, instant noodle and stuff(with chicken in pic), macaroni and stuff, fish and tofu rice dish(in pic), minced beef in spagetti, and the Portuguese baked stuff.
Came here for a quick bite with friends and was a good experience. The waitress led us to our table, and then completely disappeared, so we had to wave down a different person to put in our order. The food tasted very good. We ordered the Portuguese Pork Chop Cheese Spaghetti 🍝 😋 and it was delicious. Also ordered the wings, which was good but too over salted in our opinion. Overall, it was a good experience and will come back to try the other foods on the menu.
I had a great 4-star experience here! The food and atmosphere were the standouts, both earning a solid 4 stars. The service was also good at 3 stars. It’s a wonderful spot for a meal with a nice environment!
This is a pretty decent Hong Kong place for food like rice, ramens, sushi and so on. The food here is overall decent but can be covered in too much sauce sometimes. Alongside with this the atmosphere is pretty clean with it also having a decent bathroom. Overall this is a pretty nice place which is also pretty cheap conveniently on 86th street.
The restaurant is located in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn. I have ordered takeout or delivery for years. The older male manager is very friendly and used to make a special delivery to my home. He still remembers my mom fondly. The food is consistently well-prepared. I like the wonton noodle soup, appetizers and any of the over white rice dishes. They make good black bean sauce which unfortunately is hard to find today in many Chinese restaurants. The sushi deluxe was also good.
HK Tea & Sushi, a Bay Parkway restaurant, uniquely blends a sushi bar and Hong Kong cafe. Portion is big and affordable. I like coming here for their baked rice/spaghetti. I ordered their french toast, portuguese porkchop rice, beef egg sandwich, and their HK milk tea.The French toast and beef egg sandwich were disappointing, with the French toast being bland and the beef sandwich was lacking a satisfying flavor combination. The Portuguese pork chop at HK Tea and Sushi was delicious due to its tender meat, flavorful seasoning, and crispy crust. It's enough to serve 2 people. I went during lunch time and inside was already packed. I also see that many people order takeouts. This is the only place that I know that actually makes delicious baked rice/ spaghetti and I'll be back here again just for it.
Decent neighborhood spot with classic HK options as well as sushi + Japanese menu items. This spot is always packed every time I go, but customer turnover is relatively quick. Came as a party of 6 on New Year's Day and waited only ~10 min for a table. Their sushi here is not bad. I ordered their 3 roll lunch special, which allows us to pick from ~15 different classic rolls. A lot of menu Set items come with miso soup, which is nice. The Beef Chow Fun was a bit oily, but still pretty good + had tender beef. The salmon in the HK Style Set was a bit dry, but the mild pepper sauce that came with it helped. We chose to have the set with spaghetti, which was a bit sweet, per HK style. Lastly, the Shrimp Tempura roll was solid and always a crowd favorite.
Food is pretty good here! It used to be really good, then they had a fire and maybe they had to switch the chef team because the food got worse for a while. Glad to say that I think the food has improved again. Recommended if you want to try HK style food. One caveat though - their baked pork chop is not as good as it used to. The sauce isn't as tomato-ey as it should be (if you choose the tomato sauce base). Definitely recommended the stir fry instant noodles with chicken chop!
***___Fried Chicken & Spaghetti- Good service from the staff! It was very tasty and had lots of flavor. Great price for the size! The spaghetti was over-boiled but Asian food doesn’t quite do al dente, so I would recommend an Italian restaurant if you’re looking for that. It was still satisfying. The fried chicken was not white meat, it was dark meat. I would have preferred the white meat but that is how they keep their prices lower. **____ Bento box- beef teriyaki Good flavor. Not bad portion. Overall this place is always packed for dinner, and I am not surprised because the prices are excellent and the service is actually good for this area.
Cheap prices, not everything is good. It's hit or miss. Sushi were ok,some too much rice ( but quality expected) , sashimi fresh. Salmon skin salad was without any dressing. Pork intestine was very good. Later to the evening the restaurant was full with kids. I guess we have to come back to try more dishes.
My 3rd time eating here over a 3 year period. Sadly, the experience has not improved much. Sticking to the most recent trip... the pork chop and chicken was crispy, but VERY dry. The sauce was gooey ( too much slurry? ) The shrimp tempura while tasty, was some of the skinnest shrimp I've ever been served. Let me say all issues are with the kitchen, the servers were polite and attentive. *2024 March update - I can't believe I'm commenting again on the same dish I did years ago. Assorted Chops rice dish > The pork chop and chicken were crispy and not over cooked at all, very nice )) From there, it's all down hill, the rice was lukewarm (how?) the sauce is still gooey, will not drip down from a spoon. Veggies were in Asian terms "old". Sushi just barely made average grade. Last, but not least, the ice fruit drink was cold on top where the ice cubes were and lukewarm on the bottom where your straw rests. True HK style should have used crushed ice. Service is still good, but you go to a restaurant to eat, not for the service. Safe to say, it'll be a awhile before I want to give it another go here.
The beef negimaki was underdone so I asked to get it cooked a little more and when they brought it back, it seemed like it was burned out of spite. I lost my appetite after the fact as it felt unfair. The only positive I can say is that the portions are ginormous but it’s subpar anyways. It’s better to just walk to Kowloon cafe a few blocks down.
