My fav Cajun Seafood spot !! I’ve been here many times and never once has it disappointed me. The seafood is fresh, large portions and very delicious! Absolutely love the decor and the staff is friendly. Plenty of room to gather with friends and family and also watch a sports event on the large screen.
The food was 10/10!! Our server ( The Bartender, I forgot his name. He’s Asian but speaks Russian) he was great! Just his personality made our experience great! The food came out HOT! Even our steam broccoli had flavor! Everything tastes great We’ll be back and I’ll dream about the food I just ate.
I have been a loyal customer and Biggest Fan of the Boil.. I have brought several friends to the Boil and now they are Loyal Fans. The Food is Amazing!!!! For Starters the MUSSELS ARE SIMPLY AMAZING!!! The sauce that the MUSSELS come in is finger Licking good!!! Delicious x10. VLAD IS AN AMAZING BARTENDER, SERVER, ETC. He is so Attentive to your needs. THE Boil is my Happy Place.
The food here exceeded my expectations. I originally ordered headless shrimp with lobster but was given headless shrimp with crab legs instead. I am not one to complain about food that is given to me that I did not order but I was not disappointed one bit. Although I did ask for my drink to be sweetened and once it was it tasted amazing. Definitely order a passion fruit margarita. The staff here is friendly and quick to fix any issues. The place has a nice ambiance and vibe. Would definitely recommend friends to go here and will return in the near future !
I had my first dining experience last evening. The staff was great, the food came out timely, and the atmosphere was a lot of fun! I recommend doing the whole Lobster, 2 crab snow crab clusters, and the mussels. The food was very high quality. The snow crabs were huge! The lobster was cooked perfectly chef👨🏽🍳😘. Ohh and also the sauce they give with the Cajun fries is unbelievable!!
Stopped here for dinner tonight, it was such a lovely meal. I’m travelling on my own and the staff made me feel so welcomed and spent the time talking with me and making sure I was okay the whole time I was there. 100% would recommend this place to anyone. Lovely staff, lovely food and great cocktails. Will definitely go back before I leave!
Amazing restaurant to grab a seafood boil. Atmosphere is clean, amazing music (not too loud to not hear a conversation between friends) and our server was amazing (unfortunately I didn’t get his name) but he was serving on Sunday night 01/5. Will be visiting again!
Awesome Restaurant with delicious Seafood and more! Staff was professional and atmosphere was pleasant. Definitely will visit again. It's a bit more pricey than most Seafood restaurants but well worth it.
Great spot to get a seafood boil! Careful with the spiciness because the medium is very spicy. The drinks are always delicious. I recommend a lemonade, my favorite one! There’s seafood always tastes very fresh. I’ve never had an issue with it being fishy. However, my one critique is the service, it takes a while to find your waiter. It takes a while to order and sometimes to sit down even if you have a reservation.
Outstanding seafood restaurant! The food is absolutely delicious, and the sauce is simply divine. The cocktails are exceptional — perfectly balanced and creative. The staff is attentive and friendly, always ready to help. A solid 5 stars — I’ll definitely be back and always recommend this place!
If you’re a seafood fan like me this place is a dream come true! I couldn’t get enough of the clams they were tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned and freshness. The seafood boil? A masterpiece! Every bite was packed with flavor, from the plump shrimp to the buttery corn and the perfectly cooked crab legs And the calamari was light and crispy. Overall, this spot delivers on quality, freshness, and taste. Whether you’re a seasoned seafood lover or just dipping your toes in, you’ll leave here completely satisfied. I’m already planning my next visit! Drinks are good and strong as well 🥰 I didn’t get a picture of the boil because I dug right in😂
This is my favorite restaurant, I’m here faithful every Friday, OMG the bartender VLAD is the best and make every customer comfortable and valued!!!!! You can’t beat the customer service here! The food the drinks are amazing, thanks Vlad your the BEST
Our first time experience here was one to remember. I’m glad I picked this place. The restaurant was very nice inside and out, there was such a vibe and the food was so delicious. All the staff were very nice to us and so helpful. We plan on visiting more often. Thank you so much!
I had a lovely experience at The Boil! We had fantastic service. The food was incredible and the drinks were perfect. I will definitely return!!!!
The best Seafood I had a long time, so fresh, not over cooked, flavorful, the saff is impeccable and there when you need then no one's standing around in their phones . And everyone has a smile like they want to be at work and them helping you is their pleasure. The dinning area is nicely lit, with some nice photo opps on the walls. And the servings is more than enough so you feel your getting your money's worth.
Best seafood in Brooklyn. Amazing service from Darcy, our waitress, and the busboy. Beautiful decor. Will definitely return.

Best seafood in Brooklyn. Amazing service from Darcy, our waitress, and the busboy. Beautiful decor. Will definitely return.
The food was outstanding and so flavorful! Everything from the lobster bisque, soft shell crab legs fried, garlic bread to the boil! I was so satisfied and full. Great choose and I will definitely be back. Shout out to Juliana her service is immaculate!!
Restaurant was very cozy. Made you feel at home. Especially the chairs at the tables. The food had amazing taste that garlic butter sauce has amazing flavor. Make sure you get it for your steak. Seafood boil smelled so good though I ordered steak I felt like I had a boil! The only thing that was a little off was the plate timing. They bring one item out at a time. A little sad but it was worth the wait. Overall great service and hospitality. If you want a nice chill vibe and good strong drinks. Check this place out.
Amazing! Extremely delicious. I've come back several times and LOVE it. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. We got our own boils. The flavor is out of this world, and the seafood is very fresh.
Great place to fulfill your cravings for Seafood of most types! Great taste, great ambience, clean atmosphere, tiny clean bathrooms (lol), Host & waiters were polite, well spoken & ready to serve your needs at a whim! I had the Boil Bag of mixed lobster & shrimp, appetizers, drinks and so did my adult daughter. We had a really nice time eating & enjoying it!
Crab legs were fresh and easy to Crack. My boyfriend that never cared for crab kept talking about how good it was. A little pricey but I left feeling so happy. They have $1 happy hour oysters, so ill be back for that. 10/10 will go back again.

We decided to come here after waiting over 20 minutes for service and leaving a restaurant across street (Bird Pepper). They didn't serve us in a reasonable amount of time. We were sat right away here at The BOIL and Justin was our server. He was friendly and attentive and we were very pleased with his service. The food (Boiled Shrimp and Boiled Crab) was delicious. The portion was perfect, enough for leftovers. We will return when visiting Brooklyn!!!
I loved the atmosphere and the food. I just wish they had more combo options with their boil selection. We definitely enjoyed our food. The boil and their special sauce were good thats what my son had. I had a shrimp scampi this time. It was delicious. Their homemade lemonade was refreshing.
Randomly walked in for a table at 5pm with no reservations and was still seated. Seafood boil was a 8 out of 10, the crab cakes were a 7.5 It was missing some flavor. As far as the drinks, they can be stronger..
We’ve been wanting to check this spot out for a while now. After a long day running errands, we finally decided to give it a shot. They add a 20% gratuity regardless of how many people are in your group. It was surprisingly calm for a Monday night, but the service was super fast. The aroma from the kitchen really drew us in; you could tell someone was cooking up a storm. We went for the soft shell crab basket, and I definitely recommend having it there; it was super fresh. Each entree comes with two sides, so we picked the ribeye with broccoli and potatoes, and the butterfly snapper with Brussels sprouts and potatoes. Both dishes were amazing, so we asked to meet the chef. Since it was a slow night, he was happy to chat. His name is Mohammed, and he hails from Senegal. If you get the chance to visit, I highly suggest trying either of the entrees. He was really appreciative of our compliments, saying he doesn’t get them often and seemed genuinely surprised. He’s an awesome chef and is really bringing some fantastic flavors to theBoil Prime.
My roommate loves The Boil so much but we haven’t visited in a while. Garlic Bread is a must try since is flavorful with garlic butter and crispy layer. It’s extremely satisfying after our first bite. Brussels Sprouts is my personal favorite. It was fried perfectly, crispy and appetizing with honey & balsamic vinegar. Sauce is the key of Cajun seafood and The Boil is the pro of flavorful sauce. ㅤㅤ
The service is thumbs up and the food was delicious only problem parkin is no good as it's downtown and close to barclays but we njoyed the night there and the servers are hands on in refilling ur water and makin sure things are good. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🍤🍤🍾🍾🥂🥂🥂🍻🍻🍺🍺🍹🍸
Came here on a Wednesday night. Seems like they are understaffed. Had to wait for a while to have a waiter/waitress to stop by our table every time. The service was friendly tho. But I don’t think this service deserves a mandatory 20% tips.

They charge $5 extra for flavor lemonade. Need a new bartender, He could not get our order right. We just gave up and ate what he brought us. I love the food here. Maybe just a bad night.
I only gave this place a 3 because of the snapper experience my mother bought last night .. the scales on the snapper was still on the fish and she choked, got poked and couldn’t finish it … the pasta was filled with oil….. the oysters on the other hand was good … but need to be washed cleaned but really good …..
Our server Lynda was extremely nice but I was very dissatisfied with the food. The flavor and quality does not measure up to the location on Waverly street, I felt like I was eating at two different places that had no affiliation. The price point was higher and the food was not great at all. If the same name is going to be used the quality
Why I won't visit this location again: Cons: No parking and crazy traffic Not as tasty as Waverly Location Need to work on gratuity notification (other reviews agree) Pro: Quick Service LACK OF DECORUM: I made a reservation for 5 prior to arriving and when my party and I arrived, we were greeted at the door by a hostess who swiftly made us aware that there would be a 20% gratuity tip added to our bill. I have no problem with the gratuity it was the way we were notified. While every business can conduct their business as they see fit within legal parameters, decorum & professionalism should be considered. A notification prior / after to confirming my reservation would have been a good time to notify a guest. Posting signage outside & within the business would have been more tasteful. Also posting on the bill as well like many other restaurants. FOOD TASTE BETTER AT WAVERLY LOCATION: I'm certain this is a franchise because the food was less flavorful and presented differently. Food served room temp. theXgood - Crab Cake - was flavorful and not overly breaded Potatoes - flavorful but not served in our broil (disappointingly - photo posted) Bday cake/bread pudding - 10 out 10 Clams Corn- decent but not served in broil theXbad- Fries - too salty Snapper - flavor was decent enough but the presentation wasn't very appealing (I posted a photo) Broil - good quality product but lacking in flavor. I'm used to more robust flavor. Mac - barely ok. Good texture though
I feel the need to write this review because I’ve been going to all the locations of theBoil since 2017 but yesterday was not a great experience like I usually have & honestly felt offended as I’ve been a server, held a manager position & now own my own restaurant. I got there at 9pm (I do know that they close at 10pm) & there were only 3 tables seated that were eating in the whole restaurant. The man standing in the front asked if I had a reservation & I said no. He walked away from me with an iPad in his hand, came back 2 minutes later after pacing back & forth asking for my phone number (he didn’t even explain why). I gave it to him & after 1 minute of him pacing back & forth again, I finally get seated. They let us know its last call at the bar which wasnt a problem for us because we were starving & just wanted to order food asap. When the server came, she did NOT introduce herself & asked if we were ready. Her service was horrible as she only checked on us once because she was too busy chatting to her coworker in her language & she speaks very little english (I believe she’s from a Spanish speaking country). We ordered the fried catfish basket, a seafood boil combo which included snow crab legs & shrimp, & a side order of pasta. Everything came at once after 20 minutes of ordering. The pasta was a little bland but not bad & the seafood boil was AMAZING as always. The catfish basket was not good. My partner ate a piece of the catfish filet & said something was off. I picked up another piece of the catfish & the breading literally SLID off the fish. The fish was a grayish color when revealed under the batter & when I touched the bare fish, it felt slimy. Very unappealing & made me lose my appetite TBH. I eat all kinds of fish & literally ate fried catfish from Ben’s Crab 2 days prior & I can tell something was off with this catfish. Now the server did ask if we were okay but we were in the middle of bussing down our seafood boil & did not touch the catfish basket yet. After tasting the catfish basket, I did not even want it on our table so I called the server & let her know that I didnt want it & I expressed that it either wasnt cooked properly or wasnt fresh. She looked at me, looked at the plate & walked away without saying anything. She came back with boxes & walked away again. When she came back, she dropped the check on our table. The catfish was still on the tab. I then asked her to get the manager. The manager that comes to my table, is the same man with the ipad that sat us, which I assumed was a host. I explained to him that the catfish didnt taste fresh & I didnt want it but he can charge me for the fries since we did taste the fish & ate a little of the fries. He said that the server told him that when she came to the table, we said everything was okay. I said she didnt even understand what I said to her because when I complained, she came back with boxes. He responds that HE doesnt understand & that they have been serving the catfish all day… ATP I’m annoyed because as a manager, why are you going back & forth with a customer? Anyways I told him I wasn’t going to eat it & he said he can take off some money off the tab but not the whole catfish platter. I just took that as the final resolution, paid my bill, & left. One thing that they need to learn is better customer service. The only reason I didn’t give 1 star is because the seafood boil really saved them & the quality & consistency of the boils are always good every time I eat there. I will going to the Manhattan locations moving forward.
I had the lobster Roll and I think it would’ve tasted really good, but the bottom of the brioche bun was really burnt so it made the taste of the sandwich Really disgusting. The service was very slow, even though there were only two other tables occupied. They didn’t even have the ingredients to make an apple martini so I had to settle for a lemon drop martini which was just OK. I won’t be back.
So I took my best friend out to eat for her birthday to the boil because she love seafood. We had reservations for 8pm. When we first got inside no one greeted us. We stood there for about 5 min then someone walk over to us to ask if we had reservations. I let them know yes we did. We order our food we ate and now it’s time to pack our things to go and ask for the bill. One of the waitress was soooo nice to us. He bought the boxes over for us to pack our food to go. He also was the only one who greeted us when we were seated. Now I ask for the bill so I can pay, the second male waitress come over and say we did not add Tip inside. I said ok the third waitress was the one who took our order at the beginning. She’s now bringing the bill over so i can pay. She goes we didn’t add the tip inside. So I go and say ok. As I’m paying with my bank card I have a 20 dollar bill also in my hand. The same women reply again, and say we did not add the tip to the bill. My best friend goes and say we heard you for the third time. You don’t have to ask for a tip we have a 20 dollar bill in her hand that very rude of you to ask for a tip. Then the women waitress throws my bank card on the table. I let her know how rude she was and then she walks off to her other coworkers and begin talking. As we was leaving out I tip the first male waitress because he were so nice from the beginning. I been here before when they had different staff and I didn’t experience nothing like this. But last night I was so disgusted with the waitress kept asking for a tip. All that tells me is they does this to all of their customers
I normally go to the one in manhattan which is very lovely but I was the area and figured I try this one, the cat fish basket is always my go to but didn’t taste an ounce of seasoning, all I taste was batter, very very disappointing but my gf enjoyed the snow crab boil so ig that’s a plus
Food was not good - Calamari tastes like it’s precooked then reheated. Worst Lobster roll hands down! - Never had a worst lobster roll. Cajun food looks Cajun but no Cajun flavor at all Crabcake is MID! Fried fish was good Mac n cheeses is OK - Not grandmas Service was friendly and non existent- no one ever came to check on us. Party of 5 - 3 meals delivered to table The other order NEVER arrived. 5th person had to get up and ask after 40 minutes for someone to take their order Atmosphere is warm and welcoming
I frequent this location with friends and family. Prior to it's opening, for years we'd travel to the city for carry out at the main location. So I KNOW the quality of food & service to be expected... but my most recent visit literally left a bad taste in my mouth. My mom wanted happy hour oysters, I got oysters Rockefeller, and fried calamari to share. The oysters were as expected, but as soon as I tasted the calamari I knew something was wrong with it. I commented on it not being fresh, spoke to our server about it & asked for the manager as well. I also ordered a side of plain boiled potatoes w/garlic butter for my 8 month old 🤦🏾♀️ She ate a few bites & started itching right away. I had to call my son to come down the street with benadryl. She's eaten potatoes, garlic, & butter at home without an issue... so I figure this was either cross-contamination handling or the veggies are cooked together with the seafood 🤷🏾♀️ The "manager" came over & starts going back & forth with me (lowkey arguing) that the calamari was good in his opinion--eats one of them, doubles down that it is fresh & that's how they're prepared. I stopped him there & informed that I've eaten calamari in many different establishments & SEVERAL times (on each visit actually) at this location & it has NEVER BEFORE tasted like chewing a fried rubber band until now. Noting that it either wasn't fresh calamari or the frying oil was old. He insisted that oil is changed daily. He offered to take it off the bill, but continued saying that it tasted fine. I really wanted calamari, so I agreed to him replacing it with a new order of calamari 🙄. This time the breading was light & crisp, but alas.... fried rubber band texture inside. Obviously the calamari is old or they're freezing it... but its NOT FRESH & it affects the dish. Idk who was more annoyed--me or the "manager" who tried to gaslight us. Our server was fine until then, but after the calamari issue she didn't come back to check on us until we flagged her down for the bill. To be fair, it looked like she was the only server at opening (poor managing). I actually had to ask a busser to replenish my seltzer water because she was zipping back & forth or chatting. I review many of the places I visit [on google platform], but this was even a first for me with such subpar service from someone holding a "manger" title. The food quality & customer service were very off-brand. I see some other people who've had similar experiences at this location & this manager. Very surprising considering how hands-on Mike (owner) has always been with customer service at the Chrystie St. location. Definitely worth mentioning the next time I bump into him over there.
The food was horrible. They don't make any changes to the order. For example you can't get shrimp, lobster tails added to your order unless you order the steak dish. The waitress was slow on our service and seemed like she didnt care for gay people. We felt quite uncomfortable with her service
I ate here two times. Both times bad experience. The first was in Sept. 2024 for my birthday. Appetizer (fried shrimp) was raw. Sent it back. No soda machine working. Soda was flat. Sent it back. Ended up getting sodas from the store. Second time was yesterday. Pretty chilly inside, didn't feel much heat. Again issues with soda. Ordered a coke and there was some kind of soapy foam in it. Sent it back. Ordered two more cokes. They didn't have it. Ordered Sprites. Didn't have it. We didn't order appetizers because of what happened the first time so we just ordered crab legs. No drinks available so went to the store AGAIN. Came back and we started eating our food. Near the end of our ONE BUNDLE of snow crab the manager Dennis came to the table to exclaim no outside food or drinks were allowed. I explained there had been soap in the first drink and then there was nothing available we wanted to order. I am not sure if he sent them to get sodas in the mean time, but he said he was sending a coke and sprite to my table. I told him no as we were pretty much done with our food and I had gone out in the blistering cold to get drinks seeing as how they didn't have any. He threated to put it on my bill anyway and then he told me there was no soap in the first drink, which how would he know what the issue was when he was not the one dealing with it. He went back and forth with me quite a bit over sodas. The couple next to us had also gone out to buy sodas. When they left they said they would not be returning. On my way out I saw Dennis and approached him about his HORRIBLE customer service and again, he went back and forth with me. I would avoid this location. The aesthetic looks pleasing, however the service is way below par. The fact that the word BOIL is out on the sign says more than enough about how this location is managed. Simply, THE. Because of Dennis, this location lost 4 customers in one night. I am sure his gross customer service will continue to drain the returning pool of customers. Of note, the crab legs were very garlicy. Might I also add that this location places an automatic 20% gratuity on the bill and not during either visit did the server come to the table to see if we needed anything. That could be because we had no drinks for them to refill, but it is quite ridiculous for a party of two to have this gratuity be mandatory, yet the service be this bad.
In service is good. Online is a waste of time. This is a great seafood spot for a causal date or friends and family hangout. Seafood is fresh and seasoned to taste. It reasonably priced gratuity included with good proportion sizes. Friendly and attentive staff. You won't be disappointed. I order from the boil a week later after my in person visit of the Queens combo online is clear as day 1bs crab legs and 1 lbs crayfish. The sent crabs and shrimp instead. Now picture this, you put in your order because you have a craving for crayfish, you rush home and get ready to eat and open the bag...and it's not crayfish. I pay for what I want no fuss no fight but when it's time to get a refund it's an issue. I don't like disappointments especially with my food after a long day. Won't be ordering again.
I ordered in store to go….I asked for 2 clusters mild and a order of garlic bread I was charged over $70 and received one cluster and very spicy sauce. My garlic bread was burnt and exterior hard. I will stick to the location on waverly.
