Customer service 5 stars for sure. Rayshan on the front desk he was amazing with every guest. The staff members are wonderful. I will return and try the king size bedroom suite. I had the 2 queen beds room.
Very nice experience Hotel is brand new Very clean Managers Michelle and Ronda are the best! They go above and beyond to create amazing guest experience. Front desk person shay and Megan were very helpful. Breakfast is ok, a little too small room but you can live with it. Parking lot is tiny but we had no problems parking
Super friendly staff, immaculately clean, super comfy beds and the free breakfast was awesome for the price. The rooms are small but cozy. We even had off street parking. And there are some pretty good places to eat right around the corner. They called the day before to confirm the reservation. Who does that? We'd definitely stay here again.
Shay! She was great!!! Such a welcoming person. I personally don't have a problem with the location...it's a new hotel and it's well done. But adding someone like Shay definitely helps, and I'm glad to have met her. There was a bit of an issue with the room and she got me into an even better room. Customer service goes a long way, so thank you for that. The hotel is convenient to mostly anything you would want (Go to Ali's down the street if you want great Caribbean food). Natural grocery store is across the road and has everything. Hotel was quiet and clean. Couldn't ask for more. Great stay.
The receptionist was very helpful, and answered all my questions. When I went to my room, it was very clean and cozy. The bed is very comfortable, I could’ve stayed in that bed forever. I definitely recommend this hotel to everyone, just remember to book about a month in advance. The hotel is near a train station, I slept soundly the entire night. hotel is so great, exactly what I needed.
There's a lot of things I can say about this hotel but horrible is definitely not one of them... I adore the staff very nice and friendly... This place is amazing I felt really comfortable. The room is very nice love the portraits on the walls, love the tub and the breakfast room is great everything you need. I'm definitely making another visit 😍😍😍

We were wary because of other reviews, but were pleasantly surprised. The front lobby is non-existent, but our room was clean, comfortable and nicely appointed. Staff were hard working, capable and professional. Location is a little sketchy, but centrally located with easy access to the A train -- which we used to take us everywhere we wanted to go ( transferring to other lines as necessary). If you have a car, you definitely want to park it in one of the six parking spaces (yes, there are only six hotel parking spaces au contraire to other reviews that mention shared parking with another business nearby) and leave it there until you leave.

As I mentioned in my previous statements, the kind gentleman at the front desk made us feel completely at home when we first arrived in Brooklyn, feeling very frazzled after a long trip from New England to the city on Thanksgiving Day at noon. One of the most important things I like about staying at a hotel is the accommodating manner of the hotel staff. The room and bathroom were clean. We felt secure and comfortable and enjoyed our stay.

I had a very serviceable experience. The bed and bathroom were clean, the floors were okay (though I think there was a bit of soap scum on it, given the white powder that collected on my foot), and I was able to sleep. The windows wouldn't close all the way, and the outside sounds came through pretty clearly regardless of the windows' position. The establishment offers a free complimentary breakfast, and as you might expect for that price, it's pretty rudimentary. Prepackaged oatmeal, Swiss Miss hot cocoa, yogurt cups, apple juice cartons, assorted packaged sweets and bagels, and coffee were the typical items on offer. Not much protein to be had here, or even carbs for that matter. It can barely even be called a breakfast. But considering its low, low price of free, it's better than nothing and certainly good bang for your buck. However, there's a nice Texas Chicken place just across the street, priced reasonably at around $10 for 5 chicken tenders, along with a small vegetarian eatery (called Footsteps, if I recall correctly?) around the corner. So there's a couple good places to eat on a budget if you're really hungry. Location is...okay. If you're in New York to go sightseeing, you're way too far away to walk anywhere you want to go, and you're always gonna cross a bridge to get there. Public transport is surprisingly close by, though, including both a train station and subway station, so if you can navigate that hot mess, you can still get around (though I frequently got lost). I strongly recommend downloading a dedicated app like Moovit to help you navigate. A typical Uber trip ran me about $55 to get anywhere, by comparison. So, not a terrible location. Could be worse. So all in all, not a bad place to stay. Worth its price, I'd say. If you're keen to keep your hotel budget slim, you won't regret choosing this establishment, in my opinion.
Rooms are atypical for NYC. Extremely small, but clean. 2 adults had 1 towel, called for more. No answer. No water in the hall fridge or lobby. Just soda. Smh. When we went to check out no one was at the front desk, several people were waiting to check out & there was no one there, nothing stating someone would be right back, so we left the key & left. Water from bathroom sink splashing everywhere, because it likely needed a new washer. Parking in the area is horrendous. I'm a native New Yorker so I know the deal but it was beyond disastrous. On top of that they need to have someone shoo away the panhandlers at the front door accosting your customers. Come on, son. Get it together. I don't recommend and I wouldn't stay there again. We were told to park at the gas station about 3 blocks down for $20, of course that was also not possible. Just don't do it to yourself. Adding an addendum; so I carelessly left my coat at this wack hotel not even 24 hours ago. I'm on hold with the front desk as o type this. I literally had to explain to the young woman who answered the phone at the front desk why isn't the coat in your lost and found if housekeeping is saying they didn't find the coat in our room? Then I have to explain to her again that as a paying customer can they just send someone to see if they find my coat. Never in my life have I had to go through so much just to find out if if something that I left there was there. Again don't do it to yourself.
If you want to get high, this is the perfect place for you. The hallways smell like weed constantly!! Bed was very comfy but no housekeeping service. You don't find out about housekeeping until after check in. We were drying off with wash clothes by day 3. Room was a good size and the price point was correct for the area. A great coffee shop (Furmans) near by. Seems very out of place for the neighborhood. Saw a lot of trash and friendly neighborhood rats. It is a non-smoking hotel but our bathroom reeked of cigarette smoke. I have it a 3 because it served our purpose. We only slept and showered in the room. Don't be deterred by the train tracks, it was very quiet at night.

The free breakfast was just fruit cups & boxed cereal. As far as parking, the hotel has 10 spaces behind the hotel & is $25 a night. Found a couple homeless guys hanging out in parking lot next to my car one night. Street parking available that you also have to pay for of course. Only one elevator in the entire hotel, so long waits at times, I just started taking the stairs. Had no remote for my tv in my room and didn't receive one until day 2. As far as the room, it was cool, bathroom was nice.
Front desk staff is useless and the manager is nowhere to be found. We were promised a pull out couch for our room and never got it, one member of our party slept on the floor as a result. We requested extra towels and blankets, but after hours of leaving the hotel and returning, they did not arrive. The only positive thing that comes to mind is that it's clean and modern.
Well. It's new york. so I expected issues. the staff was very sweet. the room was bigger than most ny hotels i've seen. but this wasn't the best experience. The alley behind the hotel seems to be a hot spot. Really exciting activity and sounds happening all night. Not great for sleeping though. Also no breakfast. It was "running late" at 8;30 am. Kind of a bummer.
The location of the hotel was good for getting around. However, the service and upkeep leaves a lot to be desired. Our room was *partially* cleaned ONCE in a seven night stay. We had to call front desk for toilet paper and towels every couple days, some days there was no breakfast (box of cereal, packages Danish, yogurt). We could not use the laundry area because of covid. Overall, the size and location of the room was good but the service was atrocious especially in a time like now when covid is so rampant, better cleaning practices needs to be employed to protect both guests and staff.
Give this one a pass. Cons: No cleaning service. Had to go out to buy our own soap since there wasn't any in the room and none came upon request. Breakfast service--cereal with a jug of milk sitting out--is questionably safe. Front desk gives an aggressive spiel about late checkout fees upon check-in. Common areas smell despite the non-smoking policy. Train noise is hard to adjust to. Pros: close to the metro. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was decently sized. Towels were brought up when asked for (although ask far in advance of needing them since the wait was long).
The rooms are clean and the decor is modern. They advertise that there is a gym, which I was looking forward to use but I was told that it was under renovation at the time of my stay 07-10-22. The complimentary breakfast is a joke. It's literally just a single table with some coffee and a few pastries to grab and go. If you go late (after 8:30 am) good luck finding anything. The hallways reeked of smoke and on one night a strange man was knocking at my door. When I asked what he wanted he replied he was "looking for a room". Area is a bit unsafe in my opinion. Overall, I think you are better off spending your money elsewhere if you have the option.

I just checked out of my room 613 today and it was the worst hotel I have been too I am total finish with La Quinta. It was a non smoking hotel Andy room had a stained smell of weed and it would go away it had draws broken. The bathroom was missing a light switch and the toilet was missing a toilet set smh. My bed had a stain under the comforter and I asked for it to be change or for some fresh sheets so I can change it and they did nothing. I felt like my plea for better service was ignored. Never again all I got was an apology and have a good day smh
Would not recommend staying at this hotel. The room smelled very bad and was damp due to all the moisture in the air. The hallway smelled like someone was smoking marijuana every evening. Our room was never cleaned in the 5-nights we stayed. I had to ask for toilet paper and clean towels. They brought the towels and toilet paper in separate bags and instead of gathering the dirty towels and putting the toilet paper in the bathroom, they just left the bags on the dresser. I realize you get what you pay for in NYC but I thought that staying at a chain hotel we would have had a little better experience.
Do not stay here. You absolutely get what you pay for. You're thinking, "alright cool, cheapest hotel in the area. Free breakfast, coffee, a place to stay. All good right?" No. Booked a room with a stay for 4 people. We only had towels for 2. We asked multiple times for them to bring towels and said they already brought them. Nothing. Front desk was MIA after that. The coffee tasted like brown colored water. Free breakfast? Nothing. Only sugar packets and creamer in the lobby because the person who was "supposed to set up breakfast" didn't show up. For $530 you think we could get at least what is advertised on their website. Not here. They have a sign that notifies guests to wear a mask while in the hotel. Staff and some guests were not wearing masks. Management clearly doesn't care.
Staff were nice, but over run with people asking for help with things they couldn't fix. From just our one night stay, those things included a broken door knob on the bathroom door, never getting a key card due to the machine not working/not being available, TV not working, ice bucket leaking, $25 to park in what could only very loosely be called a parking lot, stairwell reaking of weed, and breakfast having nothing but prepackaged cereal with no milk. Location also leaves a bit to be desired, but the hotel can't change that.
I would give this hotel a zero but the staff was extremely nice and tried. Microwave didn’t work .top lock on door broken, toilet seat broken. After hours of waiting they changed my room. No top lock again slept with desk chair under doorknob. On a 5 night stay housekeeping came once and while they were there they took my shower curtain. Every night I came back to my room there was a new problem Please do not book this hotel you will be sorry.
Non Attentive and almost disinterested upon arrival. Gave us misleading information about the hotel's parking which led to us being towed. Complimentary breakfast is nice if you are a small child that likes being in a tight room. Multiple Front desk people could use a refresher course in friendliness and service. Highly do not recommend, Poor choice. Booked for two nights and only stayed for one, checked out early and on time. They ended up charging us for three nights. Completely unacceptable and terrible service.
Worst experience I’ve ever had - I was booked by my travel agency to do a work trip on Dec 10th 2025 and when I showed up at the hotel I was told that my reservation was cancelled as they did not had my card on file. They’ve debited my card few days later stating that I did not showed up at the hotel. I reached out to the hotel and so did my travel agency to reverse the fees and we never heard back from them to get the refund even after what happened. The staff doesn’t seem to be aware of what’s happening nor what they are doing which is the basic not mentioning the fact that the manager was never available on the multiple times we called to try to solve my issue. This was very unprofessional and not acceptable. I would not recommend this hotel and asked my travel agency to remove them from our corporate list of approved places as the only thing that they do seems to be stealing people…. The least that they can do is to at least refund people for their mistakes and be accountable but they don’t seems to even care. I would not recommend this place, you should run away as far as you can ! This place is a shame !
Worst hotel I have ever been to. Service was horrible, the front desk staff was outside listening to loud music and smoking on my arrival. Tended to me right away. However, no card key to access rooms, so I had to wait for the front desk staff to check everyone in before I was escorted to my room to be let in, also bedding was clean but damp from not being dried completely. Rooms are small. No parking and area is sketchy. Don't go alone anytime of day trust me. My last day there, they brought card key to my room, but failed to ask me for ID earlier in confirming whether I should have access to room or not. Would never go back even if they offered free nights. Go at your own risk. You have been warned ⚠️
You get what you pay for. This is a budget hotel but definitely the worst La Quinta I've stayed at. Had no trash can in my room, missing handles from drawers, and both the phone in the room and TV remote didn't work. The worst part was the paper thin walls as there were loud guests throughout the night (11pm to 4am). My room had a bathroom that smelled like cigarettes despite requesting a non-smoking room, with the outside hallway smelling strongly of weed. Please do yourself a favor and book a hotel that's of higher quality. It's not worth whatever savings you think you'll have for this terrible location.
