Delicious, fresh food (which tasted even better as leftovers the next day). Absolutely perfect service - our server went above and beyond to give us a great experience. The decor is very casual. Would recommend for a chill night out with friends or family.
THIS IS SOOO GOOD! I found this place from a TikTok that I watched earlier and decided to check it out. I absolutely loved it. And the staff are the sweetest!
Tasty and friendly service! The ambience inside is surprisingly nice for a place I’d assume mostly does take out and delivery business. They have a lunch special where dine in customers get 50% off all food items from 11-3 every day even weekends! Also, like many Indian restaurants in the city they are BYOB. You can have a really affordable brunch if you bring your own drinks and go during their lunch special
Accidentally ordered from this restaurant instead of similar sounding restaurant and was very pleasantly surprised by the service and the food! Amazing flavors and great portions.
The service at Indian house is amazing! My family and I are regulars there and my kids love it! India house is great, Thanks so much!!
My favorite Indian restaurant in the neighborhood since I was a child! I'm so glad they reopened. Will continue to be my go-to
I have been a loyal customer at this restaurant for a long time and I have always enjoyed the food and the hospitality. To some idiots that think that the food is made with excessive food colorings should attend a culinary institution because this rich red color is produced from organic tomato paste not with food coloring. To the staff of India House, you guys are awesome! Keep it up!!
We had a nice meal there. The staff was very nice and the food was delicious. The food was also not expensive, so I’d highly recommend you to go there.
The biryani was so nice it was spicy and good
Called India House after I ate my meal to tell them it was so delicious! They put me onto new dishes and the service was awesome :)
That the heavens that they are back open!!! I was so sad, closed for 9 months at no fault of their own! I love their food so much! I tried so many places and their food doesn’t compare to the taste! Everyone must go try it if you haven’t and if you have know they’re back!
Food was excellent. Staff was nice. Establishment was clean. Overall a great experience. We will definitely be going back!
The rose lassi was soooo good and the waiter was charming and kind. The paneer mahkani was rich and buttery. Get the mint paratha! Would come back.
India House was delicious, my chicken tikka masala was hot and fresh. Naan good as well. Will definitely be back soon.
I recently visited indian house brooklyn with a group of friends, and we had an amazing experience. The highlight of our meal was definitely the Chicken 65 and Goat Biryani. The Chicken 65 was perfectly spiced, crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. It had just the right amount of heat, making it a great starter to share. The Goat Biryani was the star of the evening. The rice was fragrant and cooked to perfection, while the goat was incredibly tender and flavorful. Each bite was a delightful blend of spices and textures that left us all wanting more. The portions were generous, and the presentation was top-notch.
The best Indian food in brooklyn, hands downs. Fresh, and delicious. Not oily. Dahl shorbs soup is to die for. If this were in a better location, they would be packed all the time.
I got the butter chicken and it was great. Friendly, fast service. Will be returning to try more of the food options.
Excellent food with great flavour! Big portions that could be shared or take home to enjoy again. Good price for the the quality and quantity. 4 people dined
Very good food, service and friendly staff. I had the chicken jalfrezie, I definitely recommend it if you love a curry like me. 10/10 Lee from England
India House is an amazing place. Food is incredible & the customer service is impeccable. The owner is especially nice!!
Ordered chana masala and rasmalai for takeout and was really impressed with the flavor + speed it was ready! Great quantity for the price as well. :)
Came in, was immediately seated and served. We had the fried potatoes and samosas the sauce was very flavorful- warm and delicious. I ordered the Yellow Daal and the keema with a side of rice. Our waiter was very attentive. Would definitely go again when I’m back in town.
Delicious food! Didn’t expect a Bangladeshi owner, but he absolutely nailed the flavors. 👏
I have ordered a lot of takeout from Indian restaurants in Brooklyn the past several months. This place is the best; it is now my go-to. Pearl Indian is good too but India House is my favorite. Their Lamb Vindaloo is very good and their meal combos are a very good deal. Everything is very tasty and they always make my food extra spicy when I ask. I would definitely recommend trying India House.
delicious food, did take out deal — one app, one entree, naan, sauces — for around $17. lots of food for the price, deal! chicken vindaloo was SPICY but yum. great service, very friendly workers.
We love India House! We typically order takeout, but decided to dine in this evening for a date. The service was lovely and efficient, and the food was amazing, as always. We’ll definitely be back!
INCREDIBLE. Order Chana masala and lamb shank. Best in NYC.
Delicious, authentic Indian cuisine and pleasant staff. 5 stars!
Such great service - they are so sweet and attentive. Delicious food and clean environment
This is probably the best Indian food I’ve ever had and this is coming from a Jackson heights, Queens native. Me and my partner had the chicken Melai kabob the lamb shank saag paneer and garlic naan. The chicken was super juicy and delicious and the lamb shank was so tender, cooked and seasoned to perfection. If I was qualified to give a place a Michelin star they would’ve got one. Excellent service and incredible food.
Saw a girl post on tiktok was trying to figure out what to eat for lunch at work. Took a chance and ordered. Food was fresh, naan was amazing, tika masala had a slight sweetness to me. Really enjoyed it will definitely add it to my lunch rotation.
India House Restaurant is a fantastic spot for authentic Indian cuisine. The food is flavorful, with generous portions, and the butter chicken and garlic naan are a must-try. The staff is friendly, and the ambiance is warm and inviting. Highly recommend for a great dining experience!❤️❤️❤️
I recently visited this Indian restaurant with my girlfriend, and we had an amazing experience. The food was incredibly delicious, full of authentic flavors and perfectly cooked. I cannot stop thinking about the Biryani. They make it fresh to order and the flavors are complex, rich, and delicious. My girlfriend ordered the Paneer Tikka Masala- it was perfect! The staff was friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was cozy. I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves great Indian cuisine!
It's a wonderful place to get Indian food. Took a white person who had never had Indian food before. They liked it. As an Indian person, I personally liked it a lot. It can often be hard to find good Indian food outside of specific neighborhoods in New York. So this is a great place if you are in crown heights.
This is the best Indian food ever!!!!! Go here!!! Take your loved ones and your crushes here if you want to impress them with good food. Nicest people in the world.
Love this place! Best Indian I’ve had! Other places don’t compare to the quality, taste, freshness, etc! The owner and employees are lovely!
The food was, the thing I liked is how the food spice can be selected accurately. Thanks
Our family orders from India House often and the food is always delicious. Very consistent and reliably good. Alhumdulilah! The food is halal :)
Amazing food and excellent service. Staff and owner very welcoming. Food came quickly and was hot and tasty. Clean restaurant and seats and good lighting.
India House is great! The food is so delicious!! The owners and employees are also so sweet! I love bringing people here because the service is always so kind and the food is always unbelievably good. Also, the prices are incredible for the quality.
Awesome chicken masala / garlic naan, great service , good music
India House Restaurant offers authentic Indian cuisine with a wide variety of flavorful dishes, from creamy curries to aromatic biryanis. The cozy ambiance, attentive service, and fresh naan make it a must-visit for a memorable dining experience. Perfect for any occasion!😍😍
This place was fantastic I got the rose lassi, samosas, some garlic naan and butter chicken. I like spicy and by request, this place had me feeling the heat!! Everything was really good and the service was great too. Super great to have this place in the neighborhood :)
Food was delicious! Some of the best Indian food I’ve had. The chicken makhani (butter chicken) with garlic naan was supreme. The staff were great and chef was very nice. Ignore the negative reviews, they’re trolls.
Found a restaurant that serves the spice meter of the exact need, will definitelygo again. Their Chicken Biryani is just too awesome to describe in words. The mango lassi is just the finish anyone could've asked for. Must try. Don't miss it if you're in Brooklyn.
The food at India House was both delicious and filling. The meal deal was perfect. The people there were very kind and accommodating. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Bro the paneer bhurji is A1 omg love it soooo much!
Great place! Delicious food. Nice comfortable atmosphere
Absolutely solid Indian food for a noticeably affordable price with their takeout deal (for $18 you get 2 meals with the special). Ty to India house for being like 30% of my diet lately
Very tasty, delicious local Indian food. Our go-to place in the neighborhood. Friendly and fast service.
Came here to dine in. Polite staff and very delicious food! I ordered the Malai Kofta with mint paratha. Highly recommend!
Delicious food! Great customer service. Will definitely be back for more.
This was a gem... They stafg were accommodating and reminded me of good service sometimes forgotten in this industry. And the food was good and fresh even with us eating near closing time. We will be back!
I've been eating from this place for years always good food always good service
I stopped by after seeing a TikTok review and they did not disappoint!!! The food is amazing, I had ordered the Fish curry, lamb curry and a serving of garlic lamb. 10/10 would def recommended. The food is so flavorful and well seasoned, I am from the Caribbean so I can be very picky with food and spices! They did not disappoint, best local spot for Indian food.
Oh me! Oh my! Imagine this: you’re taking your friend who just moved to New York out (don’t worry, he’s not a gentrifier bro is a union head) and it’s their FIRST mango lassi. PERFECT PLACE FOR THAT EXPERIENCE! If you’re a seasoned lover of Indian food- come here. First time eating delicious Indian food- come here. 5 stars! Hip hip! Hooray!
I get this delivered all the time. The food is always solid. I highly recommend.
The samosas were delicious and I also enjoyed the mixed vegetable pakoras. I tried the roganjosh which was quite tender and very flavorful. I had it with the basmati rice it came with and some garlic naan bread along with a creamy white sauce and herb sauce. Absolutely delicious! The curry, the garlic naan, the sauces…. I loved it. I thought the meat was a little gamey but I enjoyed it! I also got the chicken tikka masala which does have a sweeter flavor which I had seen in other reviews, but the chicken is very tender, and the mild flavor is definitely good for people who don’t want spice. The portions were a nice size in pint containers and filled with meat and curry sauce and everything else came on the side so you could really build your own perfect Indian dinner plate.
From the moment we walked in Indian house restaurant we had a warm, inviting ambiance that made us feel at the right place , The food was exceptional – all dishes was a perfect balance of flavors, and the our server was attentive and knowledgeable, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. We would definitely recommend We learnt the chef name is Khoshed , he make a very delicious dishes
This is my go-to place for good indian food. I’ve had nothing but lovely interactions with all the people who work here and the food is always delicious.
Great food would be an understatement, not only is the food some of the best Indian I have had but the service is just as good too!!! Highly recommend!
10000/10 . Me and girl went here for some dinner and you could just taste the food was home cooked . The service was sooo amazing , every second it was “ do you guys need anything ?” “Lemme do this and that for you guys” so amazing . Truly will come back ! Check them out food made with love . Chicken masala & garlic nann is the way trust me !
Great customer service! Always amazing food! & their fresh garlic naan is top tier! Thanks India House
Very good and homely food! The curries are very delicious and really well cooked. The chicken curry is my fav! The spices are so well balanced, Also the people who work there are so nice and welcoming. Would definitely visit again.
I will give a disclaimer first that I am not a review writer...lol I never leave reviews but I tend to rely on them heavily when choosing a place. (I know it's not fair 😔) But this review changes things and I'm doing my part!🙂 Anyway I went to India House for the second time last night and the food was even better than the first time a month and a half ago! The yellow daal was soooo good I kept going back to it throughout the night lol I couldn't help myself lol. It was seasoned perfectly and complimented the fluffy rice so well! I also had an order of vegetable samosa's which were good as well but the yellow daal was the highlight, and definitely on another level! The staff was very pleasant and inviting as well! How often is your second experience better than the first!? I will be back again!
The Indian House restaurant is incredible and brings back memories of the Indian food I enjoyed in Kuwait. The flavors are truly authentic. I highly recommend trying the house special, which includes a delicious mix of basmati rice, goat, beef, shrimp, and chicken. It’s hands down my favorite dish on the menu! Ps: I cudnt wait to take a photo😭 i had to eat first
This place is awesome! I had been traveling all week and got home on Thanksgiving Day, they were open and I got so much food for a great price! Got Somosas, Chat, Dahl, and 3 different kinds of Naan all for like $40, everything was delicious. Ended up with enough food for a few meals. The server was so kind and wonderful. This is the kind of place I want to take my mother! it was so delicious and charming, a true NYC hidden gem. Going to tell all my friends to come here.
Food here was excellent!! The flavors are absolutely delicious and tops most other Indian restaurants I’ve been to and it’s just a small local spot. Really reasonably priced. Go here!
very good Indian food in the neighborhood ! The best I’ve had ! Will def be my go to takeout Indian spot from now on. They made my food perfectly spicy.
i so rarely leave reviews but india house is my favorite neighborhood spot! whether it's delivery or dine-in the food is always fresh and flavorful. i recommend dining in though because the tea and the garlic naan are heavenly when they come tight out of the kitchen.
This is a really nice place, I would highly recommend. The staff is always welcoming and friendly and make it their mission to make their guest comfortable. The food is really good. I would hands-down recommend the Samosa and their chicken lamb options. Of course Nan is good and just an overall really good experience. They also have takeout. They also do takeout Which I greatly appreciate!!
Perfect little neighborhood spot. PRICING BREAKDOWN AT BOTTOM REVIEW. Good vibe, quiet, could happily talk to my friends, owner was super friendly and accommodating. Most def will be back, especially with the temps coming down. Most plates are $16 (December 2025) Chicken Tandoori was grilled perfectly with that classic sear. Meat was tender and perfectly cooked. Chicken Tikka Masala and Vindaloo were also so delicious. Personally, if I came back I would get Chicken Vindaloo, but I prefer spice. This will definitely have you blowing your nose. Garlic naan was so light, could have had a whole basket to myself. Samosas, easily could have 12 by myself, no joke. PRICING: Came with 3 friends, we did family for every dish mentioned that owner so generously threw in a huge bowl of rice to split, WITH TIP , total came out to $90. 1x Tandoori 1x Tikka Masala 1x Vindaloo 2x Garlic Naan 1.5x Samosa (owner a la carted since typical order comes with two so he just charged us for 1.5 since it was 3 of us) 1x water for the table
Really welcoming place, and they give great recommendations! Service was amazing and the food came out so quickly. Would highly recommend!
Great food, pleasant and friendly staff and quick service. This is my favorite Indian food spot in this neighborhood! Espcially a fan of the malai kofta, chana saag and lamb saag
Stopped by with my daughter and ate in. No other patrons but lots of take aways. I had a mango lassi, garlic naan, and chicken korma. All were delicious. We ate in silence, wolfing down our meals.
I ordered chicken biryani. It looked so good but they put some sort of flavor on it that just make the taste not good anymore. Malai kabab was good and chiken smomsa was crispy and tasty
Food is not bad. The people are extremely kind and nice. I found the naan to be much smaller than what you get at other places and it wasn’t cooked in a tandoor like traditionally. Ordered paneer bhurji which translates to scrambled paneer, I got a yellow sauce with shredded paneer... It was the complete opposite and definitely not made correctly. Chicken tikka masala was okay. The chicken didn’t taste as if it was marinated and grilled in a tandoor. Chicken was a bit dry. The sauce was good but very high on the dye. It’s definitely not red from natural spices which is a shame. The food wasn’t bad but it definitely isn’t what traditional Indian food tastes like. My hunt for good Indian food in New York continues.
We ordered the saag paner, paner makani, and veggie samosas. Dinner plates were disappointing and lacked flavor. Food was not spicy in the slightest (we did not ask for spicy but expected it to at least be a mild one, yet NOTHING). Would not go here again unless I specifically ask for spicy Indian food with the manager.
My family and I ordered here just once while traveling from out of state. The service was quick and efficient. The chicken in the Tikka Masala was nice and tender. Don't understand why it had to be so INSANELY SWEET & INSANELY RED. We order this dish regularly wherever we are (home and away). It also didn't have the creamy texture we're used to.
Restaurant smells gross, you could tell there is no sanitation plus the guy kept asking to add more items in order
Very disappointed with this shop’s online service. Orders placed over the phone are delivered quickly, but those made through the official company app are delayed unnecessarily. This is unfair and shows a lack of respect for app users. If the app orders are not prioritized properly, what’s the point of having the app at all? Such an experience is frustrating and unacceptable.
