We had the specialty coffee, and it was delicious. I was asked if we were staying to drink the coffee, and we were, so I said yes. The guy told me he was going to bring us the coffee when ready, which he did. The surprise I had was that we both got the equivalent of a coffee pot, which we drank because it was delicious coffee. Plus, there was a small candle underneath the pots that kept our coffee nice and hot while we enjoyed it. The coffee tastes of cardamom, which they probably grind with the beans. We love that taste, but if you don't like it, maybe ask for a coffee that doesn't have that. We did not eat there but they have middle eastern and Yemeni deserts which looked amazing and delicious. The only thing that would make this place 100% better would be sofas/couches or any nice seating arrangement that does not look like a generic franchise restaurant. Everything is squeaky clean and a little impersonal. The coffee and the menu make me want to be in Yemen and feel like a Yemeni person, I wouldn't mind sitting on cushions instead of hard chairs!

First of all: good coffee + good & cheap food + chairs + bathroom already makes this a huge addition to the neighborhood. But they also have a few excellent Yemeni-style drinks (and desserts, although I haven't tried those yet). Check out this tea service with freshly-brewed chai, a tea-light and everything. Please keep these guys in business.

I LOVE IT HERE. I got a small mocha frappuccino it was delicious and affordable. It was just what I was looking for. The inside of the cafe is nicely decorated, there are many options to choose from, and the location is great as it’s off the J train. Never go to starbucks again, come here instead.

No complaints ever. Service is always good. Food is delicious and I LOVE their Yemeni coffee choices. Today I brought my picky eating son. He demolished his chocolate chip pancakes and hot chocolate and my veggie omelette was on point.

Love this place! Been wanting to try for a while. Got the Yemeni coffee with cardamom and oat milk- I forgot the correct name for it but it was soooooo bomb! Also got a basic deli sandwich that was very fresh and delicious. Need to come back and try some of the desserts and acai bowls. Friendly staff! Very clean.

These guys are the best. I’ve been coming here almost everyday. The Adeni chai is my favorite drink, & the Yemeni desserts are the most delicious desserts you could ask for. They are squeaky clean, have great quick grocery items, and they always make me feel like I’m at home. So happy this spot opened!

A breath of fresh air! I stop by here weekly during my laundry trips, which is how I discovered this spot - it is right across the street from the laundromat. The atmosphere is reliably chill! The food is always very good as well, and the staff are always courteous and relaxed, which usually means that it is run humanely from upper management. It is also nice to find a place to sit that is comfortable and roomy, unlike many of the nearby cafe' spaces, where you're practically shoulder to shoulder with people. A nice genuine spot.

This place has great food and it is very clean. but sadly they disrespected one of New Yorks most popular sandwiches the chopped cheese. They charge me an outrageous price of $10.50 for a chop cheese on a ROLL!!!. Never in my life I thought i would ever pay that much for any roll sandwich not even in Manhattan. and wasn’t even seasoned. sad sad sad 😔
